This story is based on my experience as a Plaguer. Celestia plays Plague Inc: First time It was a sunny day when Celestia plays her computer, looking for some good and realstic games to play. "Hmm... which... should... I... play?" She scrolls down the list of games, when she found... "Plague... Inc? Might be interesting..." she clicked at the download button. While the computer downloading the game file for Plague Inc, she prepared and filled a teapot with tea, of course. The download was done when she wad pouring the tea into the teapot. "Oh, the download is done! Let's play it!" As she double-clicked at Plague Inc to open it, she watched the teaser of Plague Inc, as the opening of the game. "Commencing autopsy 3..." "Wow I am excited to see the game!" She can't wait for the trailer to end. 1 and about a half minutes later, the teaser is done, and she was brought to the main menu of the game. "Hmm... which one should I click? Oh I guess this 'Single Player' button." She was headed to the main menu, where she clicked the 'Main game' button. After that, she have to choose one type of the 11 plagues available. It is Celestia's first time, so only bacteria is unlocked while the rest needs to be unlocked by playing the previous plague in Normal, Brutal, or Mega Brutal difficulty. Of course, Celestia didn't notice the Pity Mode, which allows her to unlock the next plague when she beaten the current plague in Casual twice. "Let me play this in Casual, I want to know if this plague really is realstic" Plague choosen: Bacteria, no genetic code modified, casual difficulty, name: PAX 12. Unfortunately, what she found was litterally far away from her expectation. The world is the Earth, along with 7 billion humans, 'ready' to be eradicated. She had to choose which country she will start the plague. But... "Uhh... which country should I start?" As a princess with strong love, it was really hard for her to decide which country to start at. But she must make a decision right now, or never. "Hmm... I guess... let's start with Kazakhstan," she popped the play button at Kazakhstan, which appeared as she clicked at the country. The plague started as the biohazard bubble appeared in Kazakhstan, infecting the patient zero there. Infectivity is still low, along with severity and lethality. Her objective is to eradicate humans from eafth, using the bacteria she had choosen. The first orange bubble appears, and the game tips tell her to pop it, to get DNA points. She had no idea what to do, but she had a feeling that with those DNA points she gathered, she'll need to evolve some traits in order to make the plague stronger, and more lethal. "You have enough DNA points" the pop-up message appears as she got about 7 DNA points from 12 infected peoples at Kazakhstan. "Ah, I guess I should evolve something for this bacteria, but where?" The pop-up message tells that she must go to the 'Disease' tab to evolve some trait. When she clicked at it, she started thinking and evolving very carefully. Traits evolved: Transmission: Livestock 1; Symptoms: Coughing Now the plague spreads very fast. She had no idea how they could make a game very good like this. "Oh mother of me, this game really is realstic! The planes wander around the planet as well as ships, and the clouds!" She really didn't regret downloading the game. But the disregret didn't stop there. As PAX 12 infects more peoples, Kazakhstan gets red-infection, indicating high infection rate. "PAX 12 spreads to Russia" As the plague infects more people, a man whose travelling around Kazakhstan comes back home to Russia, infecting more peoples in Russia, therefore increasing the infectivity slightly. "Woah my plague spread to Russia..." Suddenly a message pop-up appeared again, saying: "Your bacteria has taken an important step in becoming a Plague." "I must complete the game now, this is a very good looking game" She evolved more traits at the transmission and symptoms. Traits evolved: Transmission: Bird 1, Rodent 1, Air 1, Blood 1, Air 2; Symptoms: Pneumonia, Sneezing, Nausea, Insomnia As she evolved more traits, the infectivity and severity rate increases significantly, therefore infecting more countries. A ship from Russia was on its journey to USA, and it was infected! Thereby infecting USA. "PAX 12 infects thousands" a pop-up message appears, telling her to not stop evolving her plague to the next level becoming a pandemic. "My plague is one more step to global!" When... "PAX 12 Identified" another pop-up message warns Celestia that the humans will start working on the cure as bacteria can be easily cured. "Uh oh, here comes trouble," Celestia was worried. It looks like she was taking the game too serious. While the cure information tells that the cure will be ready in 10 years, and it is accelerating as chaos starts in Kazakhstan. "First death in Kazakhstan" another pop-up message notifies Celestia that her bacteria infection caused hundreds of death in Ukraine, every day. And the death per day is increasing, thereby increasing the lethality level. The 'Cure' tab shows the chart of how many percent peoples had infected, and how many were not yet, as well as death. It also shows Celestia the cure progress, which had turned out to be "more than one year" as 25 Plague Inc days had passed. This warns Celestia that the cure will be available soon. "I've got to stop the cure now. But how?" "Tip: Drug resistant abilities can slow down cure" another pop-up message tells Celestia how to slow down the cure progress. But she got it. She will evolve it when the cure progress is up to 50%. Unfortunately, more than half of the world is infected, and just a fraction of the infecfed peoples were died. This means, the plague daily infection increases. That means... Trait evolved: Symptoms: Total Organ Failure Severity is up to the third of the severity level, thereby increasing daily deaths. 45 Plague Inc days passed, and... "There are no healty people left in the world" Celestia got it. She got to eradicate humans before the cure stops her from doing it. Trait evolved: Symptoms: Coma Few minutes later, the 'Cure' tab tells that 'Humanity is close to extinction' "Wait, I didn't expected this... why am I even eradicating humans, when they are innocent?" Traits devolved: Symptoms: Total organ failure and Coma She got the point. It was easy for her to eradicate humans, but her mind made her think she was eradicating 7 billion ponies! "I'll let those heroes cure my disease. Besides, this was just a game, what could go wrong?" "Cure available in 5 days", "4... 3... 2... 1..." "Cure for PAX 12 is complete" The cure for PAX 12 is complete, therefore curing every single infected survivors. Celestia giggled as the game tells her that she lost the game. "This was just a game, lose and win, doesn't matter." And finally, Celestia lost the game, only because she feel bad for the infected peoples that don't deserve death by the pathogen.

Based on my experience Celestia plays Plague Inc: The cure Celestia liked the game Plague Inc so much that she downloaded all soundtracks and filled her room with it. Her favorite soundtracks were Direct Control, All in Your Head, Z Com Falls, Plague Blossom, and... A good song played, and Celestia gets a good vibe from that song. She was confused, as she got the good vibe from the song. But how? "Hm, why did I get a good vibe from this song? Must be a positive song, but how can i judge a song positive like this? I must look for informations about this song." The song title is Flatten the Curve, the official soundtrack for the 'The Cure' expansion for Plague Inc. Has the game updated? She had to download the newest version for the game, now or never, she must try the 'The Cure' expansion. "Let me download this new version of Plague Inc. I am curious on how it looks like." As the download done, she updated the game and opened it. Again, the teaser for Plague Inc as the opening video before player could access the game, it always plays as she opened the game. 1 and about a half minute later, she saw the 'cure' expansion information tab on the lower-right corner of the screen, and as she clicked on the 'Single Player' button, she noticed the 'Cure mode' tab. "Why didn't I notice this new expansion before? I would have saved humanity from the horrifying plague!" She talked to herself for another time, and she get high euphoria as she saw the 'Cure bottle' icon as the icon for the cure expansion. "Oh, there is more pathogens in the 'select plague' tab." Her euphoria is so high that she even choosen bacteria, and played it in brutal mode. Plague choosen: Bacteria, brutal, no task force modification, name: PAX 12, again. She headed to the World map again, this time not to eradicate humanity, but to eradicate the pathogen that plagued the world. "Oh, this time I picked the country to place my HQ. Interesting..." She picked the country Japan and started the game there. "The graphic is very different, there is the authority level. I wonder what it does." A pop-up message tells her to fund Disease Investigation teams to investigate the mystery outbreak that still needs investigation. "Hang on" Celestia noticed plenty of red points in Europe, at Germany. "Aren't these the Infected peoples? I thought a country have to be investigated to know the virus information! But how? Oh, this field operatives might be useful." She dragged the field operatives to Germany, and then a red bubble appears as her field operatives arrive at Germany. "The pathogen starts at Germany," she guessed. "Wait, it's not Germany, but where? Oh, maybe Poland... no, it's not poland, might be on Central Europe." As the special biohazard bubble pops, it plays the sound "start outbreak" just like the sound she heard as she popped the 'Play' button. This time, is to show where the outbreak starts as well as the location of the patient zero. "Let my field operatives stay at there, may could identify Patient Zero." Research shows zero percentage as no cure research is funded. Unfortunately, as all country has investigated, the number of infected peoples dropped and they all die. The screen switches to the victorious screen where the plague has killed all its hosts. "What?? I didn't even fund anything yet for the cure research! Oh, the pathogen killed its hosts. Wow, this game is perfectly made and it is very interesting! But no, I must eradicate the virus by myself, using the cure I researched!" The virus pathogen unlocked as she beaten the virus only because the pathogen killed all of its hosts. "Oh, virus! Let's eradicate this one right now. I don't want the pathogen to kill all its hosts and made me win the game again with no cure." "It's vaccine, Sister." Luna appeared immediately as Celestia said the word 'Cure' on Cure mode. "Vaccine? Isn't it a cure?" "No, you've beaten the game with no vaccine. Congratulations, Tia. That is very rare experience." "You played the game too?" Celestia asks. Luna nods and shows her all her achievements at the cure mode. Celestia shocked as Luna could beat the game in Mega Brutal mode. "You've got to teach me, I believe you could help me this time" Celestia begs Luna to teach her how to play it "There is a tutorial for this, I'm sure you can do this without my teaching" "No Luna, I want you to teach me. I will play in Brutal mode." "Are you sure?" "Yeah!" "Okay, I'll teach you" Luna grabs her chair and sit beside with Celestia to teach her how to play on Brutal mode. Plague Choosen: Virus, brutal mode, no genetic code modification, name: PAX 12, again "Okay, I would like to guide you on playing this game 'till we eradicate your PAX 12." "Sure" "Start your HQ at China." "Why?" "It is a rich country. If you start at a rich and urban country, it will be easier for you to cure the pathogen." "Okay, where is China?" Luna drags the mouse, telling Celestia where is China. "Here," as she done dragging the cursor and pointing at China. "Okay." She placed the HQ at China. Then she head to the outbreak tab and fund Investigate outbreak as well as Deploy Field Operatives. "You need this too," Luna dragged the cursor to Government parterships hex. "Oh right, we partner with the government right?" "Eeyup" "I'll fund that" Hex funded: Operation: Investigate outbreaks, Government partnerships and Deploy field operatives "Wait, should we find the virus? I thought it immediately known like the bacteria mode!" Celestia asked Luna. "That is only available for bacteria, since bacteria is very easy to detect and cure." "I see..." A pop-up message appears, saying "PAX 12 detected in Egypt" Luna warns Celestia that it is time to research the cure for the outbreak. "Look, Tia! The virus is detected in Egypt! Now is time for the real thing." Hex funded: Operation: Vaccine research, and some hexes that could accelerate vaccine developement and manufacturing. As Celestia headed to the 'Cure' tab, she saw the cure will be ready in one year. "Couldn't it get faster? Luna, did you know how to make this faster?" "We've funded every single operation to accelerate vaccine developement and manufacturing, but we could slow down the infection by doing this..." she said that while she funds a lot of hexes in the operation tab to slow down infection. "What are those things do, Luna?" "They made the field operatives cure the nearest infected ones. Now drag it to Russia." Celestia moved the Field Operatives to Russia. And the infected rate drops immediately. "Wow Luna, you are a genius! Thanks for teaching me, I am so happy to cure the pathogen!" "Well, good luck! I better go back and play Plague Inc as-" Celestia grabs Luna, and begging her to guide her to the end of the game. "No! You should play together with me!" "Or guess we could play Multiplayer?" "Wait, there is... multiplayer?" "Yeah but I guess it's not available for both plague and the cure yet, I'm not sure though..." "Okay, but I still need your guide." "Alright, let's play together." That time the game is paused. Luna makes sure everything is alright, but unfortunately there is something that made them almost fail. The authority point, dropped to 50. "Sister! The authority is too low! We need to do something!" "Oh yeah, what does the authority do?" "The authority determines how successful we are. We need to stop it from getting any lower, or we will run out of it and we lose!" "How can we stop it?" Luna drags the cursor to 'Cure' tab to see how long it took for the research to be completed. Information says that it will be done in the next 20 days. So they still have hope to cure the virus. "So it's like this. We have funded all vaccine manufacturing and research hexes that made it fast. Now all we only can do is to fund this Authority 1 to gain authority, and then Censorship." Hexes funded: Operation: Authority 1 and Censorship Celestia got the point. To gain authority, they need to fund Authority 1 to 3. To freeze them, they need to fund Censorship and Fake news. "But that's similiar to lying, isn't it?" Celestia asks "Yes, but what can we do? Authority loss is because they think we are working so slow, while we do our best to eradicate the pathogen." Authority is frozen for one month. For the next 20 days, vaccine research is done, and 10 days ahead to deploying the vaccine worldwidely. They still need to manufacture and make more of the vaccines to spread all over the world. "We are successful. Now we need to wait for the vaccine production to be done and we won." 10 Plague Inc days later, the vaccine production is done and is deployed worldwidely. But Celestia still worried about the authority since it almost collapsed. "Luna! The authority drops! What should we do?" "Don't worry, sister. The authority will freeze over 0 and we will never run out of it as we completed the vaccine!" "Interesting..." Celestia saw plenty of planes coming out from China. They are coloured blue, means they are the planes that carries vaccine to all parts of the world. "Those planes are the vaccine carriers, right?" "Yup and the vaccine forces like they inject the vaccines to everyone in the country." The infected rate drops rapidly, as more and more people recovered and then given immune to PAX 12. Now the screen switches to the victory screen, telling Celestia and Luna that they successfully saved the world from PAX 12. "High five, Sister." They both high fived as they won the game on Brutal mode with the help of Princess Luna. "We did it, Luna! We saved the world!" As they finished the game, Luna exits Celestia's room, and thereby feel useful as she could help Celestia in finishing the game Plague Inc.

So she is able to control her wants and needs. She needs to learn, anyways. She doesn't need to play. However, Celestia kept playing Plague Inc during break. Now that she had beaten the game in Cure Mode, and... haven't beaten the game in Normal Mode, it's time for something different... She tries the Bacteria again. Celestia hopped on Plague Inc and chooses Bacteria to start out an outbreak. She wonders if she still have that pity feeling or not. If she do, she will stop immediately. But if she don't, she will eradicate humans for sure. Then she hovered her mouse over Single Player and noticed... a Multiplayer button? "Plague Inc can be played multiplayer?" Celestia mumbles. So she grabbed her telephone and yes, she wants to try it out on her sister, Luna. "Hey Luna, uh, I just realized Plague Inc has Multiplayer mode. Do you wa-" "THOU HAST JUST DISCOVERED??" As always, Luna feels superior when it comes to games. "Luna, I'm a newbie." "Oh- our apologies. Do you want to try it out?" "Of course! I'll choose- oh wait, I haven't beaten the game in outbreak mode." Luna laughed. "I guess I'll just go with Bacteria." "And we shall play BIO-WEAPON!" "Whoa chill Luna, I know you are professional gamer but that doesn't mean you can be arrogant." "Well you know my personality. I'll name my plague... The Lunar Death." "And I name mine TO THE MOON WITH YOU!" "Okay are you mocking me yet again?" "Sorry, heheh. Solar Plague, it is then" "Much better. Well then, let's start." "Okay, I'm ready." Then the game starts. By this point, Celestia chooses to start the outbreak in Kazakhstan, while Luna chooses China. Upon starting, none of them both knew where their opponent started the plague. Their objective is to infect as many people as possible and catching up with their opponent, or infect slowly and let their opponent eradicated first. Either by cure or lethality of the plague. So yeah. The pathogen starts out weak. Celestia proceeds to evolve Livestock first as the trait is the cheapest yet moderately effective in rural countries. Luna however, must wait until she gets DNA points to evolve mosquito. "Sooooooo Luna, what are your plans in this game?" "Just as usual. Infect as many as I can and kill very slowly. And when I spotted you, you're doomed." "We'll see about that." "Your dessert for a month if I win." Meanwhile Luna mumbles away from the phone. 'Surely I will win. Prepare the dishes, Celesti-' "And what if I win?" "You can decide what to do for me and the timespan for it." "Deal. I must focus and think about that later." "Oh don't be so sure you will win. Chances of you winning against me is 5 out of 100." "Aren't you supposed to use "we"?" "Forget the we. Now it's me and only me." "Mmm'kay" So that Luna got enough DNA points, Luna proceed to evolve Air instead of Mosquito. Airborne diseases have higher chance of spreading by airplanes. Luna is intelligent by means of game strategy. While Celestia is just leaning on her back, Luna already outnumbered her in infection. Celestia only infected 250, while Luna infected like 5720. "Luna you outnumbered me." "Ha, what did I tell you about games?" "Don't be proud. Even if you found the origin of my disease and you got cured few moments later you still lose." "We'll see about that." "Aaaaand you copied me." "We'll see about that too." Now this is just the beginning. Celestia finally evolves water and air after getting enough DNA points and her plague already infected Russia and Middle Asia.. While Luna's plague is still in China. "Luna I think my plague infected like 3 countries by now." "And how many infected people are there?" "Oh like, 2000." Celestia is too lazy to read the whole number. It's accurately 2658. "Jokes on you, I had 10000." "Welp." Celestia continues to play as calm as possible, unlike Luna, who has been slamming her keyboard and switch for losing a match in CS:GO 2, is worried that she would lose her opportunity to win dessert for a month. If she won, it's worth it. But if she don't, then nopony knows what happens next. She is worried that Celestia would dare her to be a maid for a week. Or a month. But that's literally not neccessary for Celestia by this point. Luna however, loses concentration and is unable to control her plague just because she is thinking what the dare might be. Worst options possible are Luna will be sent to the moon. But that's nearly impossible for Celestia since she loves Luna so much that she didn't want to lose her for the second time. Back to the game, Solar Plague spotted The Lunar Death. Which is, a significant setback in infection rate for The Lunar Death. "Aha! You're from China, aren't you?" "H- how? HOW??" "Calm players winners." "Heh" Solar Plague significantly became lethal by the time The Lunar Death is spotted on China. So by this point, Solar Plague got a +32 bonus in infection rate, while The Lunar Death got -10 penalty. In a few minutes, it must be the Solar Plague who outnumbered The Lunar Death. Since then, Solar Plague had been making DNA points out of infection. Each day with roughly +3 DNA points. Soon Celestia evolved Air, Air 2, and Water. Planes and ships now prone to the disease, even though they are already sanitized. ~Few minutes later~ "Okay Celestia, you outnumbered me. How dare you." "So eh, this is a piece of cake, I suppose. I shall start evolving some symptoms." "I'll do it too." Both evolved Coughing and Sneezing. Luna expected The Lunar Death to be lethal, so she evolved not only both symptoms. Insomnia, Cysts, and Anaemia are also in the traits. While Solar Plague is expected to be a 'hot' disease, so fever comes into play. "Okay what penalty this is I got..." Celestia mumbles. Luna overheard it. "Ha, you are more prone to cures! I shall kill these 2 million humans with my death plague!" "Luna you better infect half of the world before you do that." "Well what? You already infected like... 7 million. Impossible for me to catch up." "Hot weather and cold weather, Luna. You need to maintain your plague's abilities. Not just transmission and symptoms." "WHY ART THOU HELPING ME? Shouldn't you try to take me down?" "As an opponent, yes. But as a sister, no, so it's a no." Luna feels the love. Now the competition is not like war between two countries, but now it's more like an olympic. "You- made me flattered." "Ah, you. Always has been." By this point, Luna actually don't want to beat Celestia, but for the sake of her delicious desserts she must do it. So yeah. Since her plague is Bio-Weapon which kills everything it touches immediately - more lethal than Ebola - The Lunar Death is losing infected people due to early lethal evolves. Which is, a big blunder. Especially for plagues which are not yet a pandemic. "By this point you made me lose, Celestia. Your charm is dangrous when we both are playing together against each other," Luna stated while blushing. "Gosh why are you so dramatic, Luna?" "Celestia, I'm not. And I'm not a drama queen." "Is that true? Your voice is just like you're making up your expressions by this point." "Oh haha." So yeah. The Bio-Weapon is the worsf choice of all actually. Even with no 'symptoms', the disease is already dangerous as it bashes everything it touches. Just like radiation from nukes. "Celestia, I lost the match." "You lost?" "Yes. Bio-Weapon is particularly a worst choice for multiplayer." "No it must be because of you evolving symptoms just too early." "The description says the pathogen kills everything it touches." "Geez that could make a weapon for Equestria-" "Sister, it kills literally everything it touches. It means innocent ponies, our civilians, allies can be dead from it." "So eh, about the dessert for a month." "Yeah I'm not going to have them." "You can say that again, but I dare you to... eat my cakr in under 5 minutes without vomiting any piece of cake out." "That's- That's a torture, sister!" "I won, Luna. I won. But well, let me change the demand... As they are talking, the unexpected happens. The cure for Solar Plague is finished, therefore the infection rate drops. And Solar Plague only killed 2k people, while Lunar Death kills like 3m over the time. Celestia and Luna does not notice this. "...to something simpler." "What is it?" "Be my maid." Luna sighed. "I knew it." Few moments later, a screen saying Luna won and Celestia lost appears. "I- won?" "Wait... wasn't I the one winning before?" "You got cured, Celestia!" Luna jumps from her gaming chair and hops around her room with joy. "Well, my dessert for a month then."

Now she unlocked almost all of the pathogens available. This time, she challenged herself to eradicate Bio-Weapon on Brutal mode. Her euphoria made her succeed in eradicating plagues. She was about to name the disease as- "Princess! I discovered a new mag- wait, are you playing games?" Twilight appeared and shocked Celestia. Luckily, she is not vulnerable to surprises like those. Celestia is embarrased and put out her headphones. She then asks back: "Oh hey, Twilight, heheh... just uhh... discovered a new what you said?" Celestia asks "I discovered you are a gamer." "What I am not! I was just uh, learning some biology." "Biology? Wow that is part of science isn't it?" "Y.. yeah, and this application helped a lot in learning Biology." "Can I look at it?" "No." "Please..." "No, Twilight. This is something personal." "Plleeeeeeeeeaaassseeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I just want to see it!" "Alright, come on" As Twilight saw the pathogen around the screen, she then asked Celestia "Why don't you tell me this earlier? This is science! This game is fine as long it is not a combat!" "Twilight, this game IS combat." "But I didn't see blood anywhere!" "Yeah, combat between Plagues and Doctors. This game is great! I was about to cure Bio-Weapon when you opened the door like that" "That is a pretty dangerous pathogen, am I right?" "Yep, do you wanna see me curing it?" "Curing the disease is possible..." Twilight starts to speak too much according to the knowledges of physics and biology she got during her study. "... and that is why vaccines took a long time to make, since it needs to be made sure safe by the safety measures. Bypassing the safety measures is also possible, and the risk of failing is pretty high, because if the antibody-dependent materials are detected, it will be failed. But if there is none of these, it will trigger the possibility to 100% successful. Vaccines are poisons, only they poison some part. The other part is cured. That is why..." Twilight didn't stop talking, until... Celestia stopped Twilight talking just by tapping on her mouth and say: "Alright that's enough Twilight! I got all of the information you told." "But I was nearly to the end!" "Alright, what is the end?" The field operatives description says that they will try to limit the infection when present in infected states. "I think this one is important," says Twilight. Celestia asked "The Americas seemed to meet its demise like Africa and Europe, and Asia is our only hope" The sentence "our only hope" echoed in Celestia's mind, as well as "America meet its demise" and "Sweden is in anarchy". "Be quick, Twilight. You can't fail humanity!" Celestia uplifts Twilight "Of course, Princess! I won't!" Twilight said and getting more medically active, and evolved more hexes to support her vaccine effort.
