Furious Feathered Fliersby TwilightSparkleStudiosChaptersPrologueChapter 1Chapter 2Chapter 3Chapter 4aPrologue"Rrgh... yeah? Well you, you... you are such a, a flip-flop, cool one minute and lame the next. When you decide not to be lame anymore, gimme a call." I walked off and closed the door, as I let out a shriek. I can't believe that my friend, Rainbow Dash, decided to betray me for that pink party pony! Didn't she remember our younger days at Junior Speedsters Flight Camp?! And that pink prat thinks she's so hilarious, is she? Well, I beg to differ. She's been very annoying the second she started her joking shenanigans. Well, I guess it's just me all alone now. Dweebs. Looks like I'm just gonna have to go back to Griffonstone and hopefully stay away from these ponies. I lifted up my wings and began flying my way home. However, I saw something that looked like a black oval with a purple glowing ring around it. But when I tried to stop, I realized that I was flying too fast, and then before I could try to fly in a different direction to avoid it, everything went black. Author's Note And we finally have a new fanfiction from me! This isn't the reboot of Bloom and Doom you were all expecting, but the thing is, that I just got back into one of my favorite franchises during my childhood: Angry Birds! And what better way to make a crossover fanfic with it starring our favorite griffon, Gilda! Anyways, expect chapters for this fanfic to be a bit more frequent but inconsistent due to them being shorter than most other fanfics on this site. They can come out in a different range of days, from a few days after the previous one to several days after the previous one. Chapter 1What is this place? I had just woken up to see several birds staring at me. These birds looked a bit odd though. They didn't have any limbs, and they had eyebrows. "Mighty Eagle?" said a red one, looking at me. I growled at him in response. How dare he call me an eagle! But somehow, he wasn't scared of me. "What the peck?" said a small blue one. Then a yellow cone-shaped one came up to me. "What's your name?" he asked. "My name is Gilda, dweebs." I said, angered. "And how dare you call me an eagle! I'm a griffon! There's a HUGE difference between these two species!" Red's POV We all thought to ourselves, does this make Gilda of bird descent? Griffons are half-eagle, which is also a bird, and she IS technically one. Then, I grabbed a slingshot, as Chuck took Gilda and shoved her into the rubber band. "Put me down, you dweebs!" Gilda said, trying to kick Chuck off, but he jumped off before she could kick him off. Bomb grabbed the rubber band and stretched it, causing the griffon to fly. She was also roaring like us birds would when we were angry. Just then, she crashed into a tower several pigs were sitting on. The tower fell down, and several pigs ended up popping from being hit by wood, stone, and ice. Gilda was of bird descent. Gilda's POV Did those dweebs seriously think it was a good idea to launch me into these structures?! They're lucky I survived this. I'm just gonna go and give them a beating of a lifetime. At least I was gonna do that, but then I heard them singing. "Mighty, Mighty, Gilda, you saved us! Defender of our homes and liberty!" "Bravery!" "Humility!" "Anger-y!" "Grrrrr!" "Mighty, Mighty, Gilda, you...saved us! La, la, la, la Laaa, la, la, La, la, la, la" Just then, I saw another bird that looked exactly like the red one, except bigger, and the red was a darker shade. "Laaa, la, la, La, la, la, laaaaaaaaaaah! Hmmm?" The bird just grunted happily. I looked around and saw several birds praising me. I just sighed. I had no choice. They liked me. Wait, they liked me? I never thought I would have another friend since that Rainbow Dweeb. Maybe they would understand how I feel if I told them my problems? "Um," said a white bird, "is something wrong, dearie?" "Well, let's just get this straight," I said, "my only friend decides to choose a pink annoying party prat over me, and I end up here when trying to find my way home. I can't believe it. Why would these things happen to me?! There's literally a million other dweebs out there, yet I have to suffer." "I like you," said the same red bird who had called me a Mighty Eagle earlier today. "You definitely have all the qualities that an angry bird like us have. You should join our flock." I pondered for a moment. They actually appreciated me, unlike that Dweeby Dash, who left me behind for that Pinkie Prat. "Offer accepted," I said, smiling. I guess this place won't be so bad after all. Author's Note The song the birds sang was "The Mighty Red Song" from the Angry Birds Movie, but with a few lyrics changed. Chapter 2Well, this is it, I'm gonna have to get used to the slingshot, because that's what the birds use to knock down the pig's buildings. Speaking of pigs, I suddenly have a seething hatred for them. The flock had told me why they were angry. Apparently, the pigs want to eat some eggs, so they stole the three eggs that the birds were trying to protect. But these eggs haven't even hatched yet, and yet the pigs think it's a good idea to steal them and cook them, thus preventing the birth of new birds in the process. I would never wish that on my worst enemy, not even that pink party prat. I watched as the yellow bird flew fast into the bottom of a tower. However, due to the part he hit being made out of stone, he ended up dazed as the pigs mocked him. Then a green one slingshotted himself, but he completely ignored the tower and flew off into the horizon... But he came back like a boomerang! I saw him knock off a pig and part of the roof. I noticed that I was the next one in line, which meant that it was my turn now. Well, I just gotta get myself in the correct position, and then... A black bird let go of the rubber band and I flew towards the structure. I roared at the pigs, who seemed to be so scared that a few of them fell off and disappeared when they hit the ground. But I had sealed our victory. The impact of me hitting the tower caused it to collapse, and the pigs were defeated for the day. The birds had praised me for helping them stop the pigs, and I never felt so much joy in my life. These birds are definitely my true friends. "Say, let's celebrate with some of Matilda's soup!" shouted the blue bird. Oh yeah, I made sure to try and remember each of the bird's names that they told me last night when we were having icebreakers: The red one is simply called Red, the blue one is called Jay, but when his interesting ability to split into three happens, his two clones are named Jake and Jim. Chuck is the yellow one who can go very fast, Bomb is the black one. Fitting name for him, I suppose. He does look like a bomb after all and explodes like one too. Matilda is the white one that lays egg bombs, Hal is the green one with a long beak that can boomerang back into a tower after flying off into the horizon, Terence is the big red one, the orange one who can inflate is called Bubbles, and the name for the pink one is Stella, who has a magical bubble wand that can pick up pigs and objects. Well, this world is gonna take some getting used to, especially since there are several names to remember. But then again, it isn't surprising that there are new faces in every place. King Pig's POV Why?! I just want one victory! Apparently, these stupid birds had a new griffon pal named Gilda, and she somehow knocked our towers down with her roar! If those birds weren't bad enough, I think Gilda is worse. How did she get here, why is she here, and where is she from? "King!" I turned to see one of my minions. "I think I have a plan to get rid of that confounded griffon." I was interested. "Ooh, tell me, please." So the minion whispered into my ear about his plan. Hopefully, it will work. Chapter 3Gilda's POV Well, we've got five new members joining the flock. Apparently, they are Stella's childhood friends. Their names are: Dahlia, a brownish 17 years old long-eared owl. She's very smart and is the oldest out of the new recruits. She's also a smart inventing genius, but some of her inventions often backfire. Willow, a dark blue 10-years old western crowned pigeon with feathers resembling dreadlocks (most of which are concealed underneath her signature striped, floppy hat) She's very shy, however, and is a very talented artist, specializes in painting portraits and is also Luca's older sister. Luca, a sky blue 4-years old scrub-jay. The only boy out of the new recruits and he's also Willow's youngest brother. He is very playful and imaginative. Poppy, a light yellow 16-years old Cockatiel. She can be loud and boisterous, though she's definitely more tolerable than that party prat. Poppy also has a fondness for music, but the amount of noise she makes from her percussion often irks us, as she frequently enjoys herself to the point where she is unaware of the racket she makes. Gale, a dark purple 17-years old violet-backed starling, who happens to be a selfish and extremely vain bird and shoved the poor Blues off a cliff!. Not much else to say about her here. She's even worse than that party prat! The pigs have set up a new tower, but the new recruits are going to do the job for this battle today. I've been told to stay back and watch with the rest of the birds. So the first bird going is Poppy. As soon as she was in the air, she went wild and spun straight down through a lot of blocks, although she was having a bit of a tough time with the stone blocks. Then it was Luca's turn. He called sonic blast so loud it shattered a lot of glass and went through wood effectively. However, the stone blocks stayed put except for some that were in mid-air after the glass and some of the wood got shattered. Willow had just launched herself. She suddenly pivoted and as she flew through a different trajectory, she cut through wood and glass like a knife through butter. We were all amazed at what happened. Dahlia had a neat ability too. As soon as she had flown, she teleported through a tree that was blocking the direction she was headed towards and hit a tower that was behind said tree! Now there were only two towers left. It was Gale's turn. Unfortunately, she flew over the towers and missed. The pigs had won this battle... Or at least that's what we thought. Suddenly, Gale flew back, painting over several blocks with gold paint! She went back to the slingshot, and flew into the gold blocks, destroying them, and causing the towers to collapse! Gale was pretty helpful after all in spite of her self-centered tendencies. King Pig's POV They think they've won? Well, they're wrong! I sneaked up behind the celebrating birds and I decided to throw a net onto that griffon to capture her. Slowly... But surely... CRUNCH! She turned to face me. Crap. "You dweeb!" shouted the griffon. "My tail's broken now!" Uh oh. "Ouch... get me a drink." One of my minion pigs ran off and gave me some ice-cold water with a straw. Next time I really need to watch where I'm stepping on. And also to make better plans. Author's Note I will be adapting elements from several Angry Birds games, Angry Birds Toons, and both Angry Birds Movies into this story. This chapter adapts the "Angry Birds Stella" game and introduces Stella's five friends into this fanfiction. Chapter 4aGilda's POV So apparently, the birds have made me a kart. It looks quite good, especially since it's painted in the same color as my body and feathers. It even has a fake beak in front of it! However, I never really knew why they made me that. At least until now. There I am in my kart. A certain green pig with a crown is sitting in the kart next to me. Yes, the same pig who stepped on my tail. "I'm gonna win this time, sucker!" he says. "Don't count on it, dweeb." I retort. "Ahem!" We both stop quarreling to see a pig dressed as a referee. "Alright, you two," said the pig, "Here are the instructions: you two are going to race across the island on this special racetrack we worked our hardest on. This match is also a best out of one only, so if you lose, no rematches. The last instruction is that all pushing, shoving, kicking and horseplay is especially allowed." We both nod our heads to indicate that we paid attention to his instructions. I turn to the bleachers. The birds are all cheering for me, even Gale. I look the other way and see another set of bleachers, this time with the pigs cheering for King Pig. On the top of each bleacher is a TV that shows camera footage from a pig with a jetpack that is holding one. "Ready..." said the referee. We turn back to face the steering wheels of our karts. "Set..." We are prepared for the race of our lives. "GO!" We take off. My kart is going very fast yet it's also going smoothly. I'm sure to win this race! Just then, I felt a bump! I saw King Pig snickering as he kept hitting my kart. I growled and hit his car back. Now he was the one who was angry. We bumped our karts back and forth as we sped down the track. Red's POV This is tough to watch! Gilda and King Pig are bumping each other, live on TV! I know Gilda has the upper hand right now, but King Pig is most likely going to cheat his way to victory. But then again, the referee didn't forbid cheating, so I shouldn't be too surprised. This is quite thrilling! Fingers crossed that Gilda wins the race. Even though we don't have fingers. To be continued... Author's Note Time for Angry Birds GO!
