The Power Princesses: Defenders of Harmony
(Prologue) Escaping Harmonius/The Lifetime Story of Samuel Heathspike
Billions of years ago , somewhere deep in a distant galaxy far, far away, a race of benevolent immortals harnessed the most powerful force in all of existence: The rainbow energy of harmony. These immortals, the Queens of the Harmonic Cosmos, built a world from where they could watch over all of existence: The planet Harmonius. After the Big Bang, they divided every corner of the universe to the other into 3,600 sectors. A crystal tree planted by every meteorite, containing a magical crystal seed, and powered by the energy of harmony was sent to the core of every planet to protect it from any other destructive force of nature.
During the universal expansion, the planet Harmonius divided up into many mighty cities. The people of this world have lived in peace and prosperity for many eons, under the protection of not only their benevolent and beautiful queens Celestia and Luna, and a new group of heroines bonded with a stronger power of compassionate teamwork, and a special unbreakable chain of friendship.
However, this squadron of young girls from other worlds have shown that they can be more valuable than anything, except prove themselves worthy, and be one without any fear, anger, or hate.
Together, these 6 heroines, formed personally by the queen and her protégé, became a team of 6 super-powered intergalactic peacekeepers known as… the Harmonian Defenders.
Of all the threats they ever faced … the gravest was a terrible brink of disaster that caused the eons of peace to change, when a mad and ruthless satyr/yeti-like titan, The Storm King of Exegol, the lost apocalyptic storm planet of darkness and chaotic madness, led an ambitious and ruthless campaign to capture the Power Princesses and their queen, and to use three mother boxes to create the Unity, an cosmic anti-life equation powerful enough to destroy all life on any planet, and make himself the storming emperor of the galaxy, which then sparked a war between good and evil beyond the cosmos.
Present Day: Stardate 2022
As the war raged on for nearly a century, the planet was now consumed by death and destruction, making it nearly uninhabitable to live.
One day, during the war’s final days, the evacuation of the entire planet was commenced immediately as many Harmonians fled into several transportation shuttles to find a new home on other planets and to warn them about The Storm King’s tyranny and conquest for power. Meanwhile, a few soldiers were covering heavy fire so that they can buy everyone time to escape, and took some heavy casualties with their cannons.
“They’ve broken through the front lines!”
“I’ve lost contact with the 4th squadron!”
“There’s too many of them!”
While the cannons fired more plasma missiles, a lot of soldiers were dying by being shot at.
“Stand fast! AAH!”
Three Storm Creature soldiers were firing from above.
But they were suddenly shot by Queen Celestia’s solar staff, which had an axe type of feature on top and a sun shaped crystal.
“Where are the Defenders?!” she asked, until she saw her protégé, the Masked Matterhorn and her team appear by making a heroic entrance.
“Don’t worry, Queen Celestia. We were dealing with the evacuation of the planet,” Masked Matterhorn said. “Sorry we’re late, though,” Fili-Second said, and Queen Celestia nodded.
“GET DOWN! INCOMING!”
“Uh, guys?!” Zapp said, pointing at big trouble appearing towards them as they all went wide eyed, including the queen.
Suddenly, The Storm King’s Dreadnaught Cruiser came, including the Storm King, and his associates, Insidious, a hooded male with a black hooded robe and red and carbon fiber gray fabric underneath, grey wrinkled skin, and yellow eyes, and Tempest Shadow, a female warrior with blackish navy blue, gauntlets and ankle boots, and armor over a black shirt and shorts, and a moderate rose mohawk and a scar on her right eyes, and a sword on her hip, until The Storm King sent in a squadron of fighter ships, chariots, and an army of more guards, while others were gorillas and the other demonic alien ape-like creatures, and ravenously ferocious space dogs named Grievers.
“CALVARY, ATTACK!”
Queen Celestia then hollered, “Guards, Defenders, fall back! Get to the tower!”
Tempest then commanded a squadron, “Destroy the launchpad! Let none escape!”
As 5 fighter ships were in pursuit, the last remaining civilians were on each transport ship in groups, including all families and the friends they knew, were together.
“Harmonius has fallen. Quickly, get to the shuttles! There are other inhabitable planets across the galaxy, and among other quadrants in the far distance! We must reach them if we hope to survive!” Queen Celestia has even lost her sister, Queen Luna during the war because she was captured by the Storm King himself.
“Your highness! We must get your ship ready!” a guard said.
“No! There’s no time! This is our home! We have to stand and fight!” Masked Matterhorn hollered.
Refusing to let The Storm King gets his hands on their powers or the three mother boxes, which she sent them to the far reaches of space, and use them for his evil plot of intergalactic conquest, Queen Celestia gave a task for the six princesses.
“We will fight on, but you all must find refuge first, because I can’t join you on this one. I’ve found a distant galaxy between the Alpha and Beta Quadrants: the Milky Way, and there, you’ll find one inhabitable planet that’s well hidden, and located to the farthest reaches of the universe in that distant galaxy - Earth. You six will travel there and establish the ship as a Fortress of Solitude, and carry on our planet’s legacy, but in secret. Once everyone is safe, I’ll join you as soon as I can. Now listen to me: you must protect the planet. If the Storm King finds it, then our people are truly finished. And the entire universe is doomed for all eternity. Now, go.”
Acknowledging their queen’s orders, the six princesses got on board a huge scout ship the size of a cruiser, and then got into the bridge, until the flight squadron fired laser missiles on the launchpad until the ship began to launch and take off. But the Storm King couldn’t let them get away so easily.
“NO! DESTROY IT!” he said.
As the defenders were beginning to escape while the ship was firing up the booster engines, The Storm King sent a small squadron to follow and pursuit them but take them in alive. The defenders’ ship was weakening from casualty damages by the firepower of the incoming bombardment, but somehow, Queen Celestia managed to save them with her will and her courage so they can escape. “Good luck, Defenders! I’ll buy you some time!” she said, as Queen Celestia fought off the squadron, before the defenders’ ship safely escaped.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!” The Storm King shouted, before going over to Queen Celestia and they fought with both The Storm King’s storm axe/staff and Celestia’s royal scepter.
“The Defenders… where have you sent them?!” he asked, while breathing hardly. While Celestia took out her staff and then slammed it onto the ground, she then charged it up.
“You may have taken half of my people of this world, but you’ll never get the Defenders of Harmony or the mother boxes, Storm King! Not while I’m still breathing!” Queen Celestia said bravely and defiantly, as a powerful source of energy began to surge, before it suddenly began to flow through her entire body, until she started to glow brightly like the sun. A pair of huge ethereal wings sprouted from her back, like if she was an angel from outer space, as she was then lifted off her feet like in a force of gravity. She took a deep breath and crossed her arms into an x shape and covered her wings into a heart shape, “Luna, I will see you soon,” she whispered to herself before unleashing her power, and going supernova at the end with a golden yellow glow, making a huge explosion of magical energy from the sun.
Queen Celestia gave half her life to save the Defenders of Harmony and to let her subjects escape safely, until she fainted and was suddenly taken prisoner by the Storm King. Though she had succeeded in destroying most of The Storm King’s army and some of his fleet, Harmonius is now a wasteland, though the Storm King hardly cared about that as there are other planets in every galaxy he could conquer until the universe was his, but he was angry that he had lost both half his army and the defenders as well.
Meanwhile, the Defenders were still traveling throughout their home galaxy on their ship, until they somehow made it through the portal, exiting their galaxy and traveling throughout the universe for the Milky Way as they engaged their hyperspace warp drive and made the traveling a little easier.
Maretropolis: Planet Earth
‘What has become of this city? There used to be laws. Justice. But not anymore.’
A shadowy figure swooped in began to parkour and jumped from a rooftop and towards another, and began to run through the shadows.
‘Crime is out of control. Stores are being robbed. And townspeople are being victimized.’
‘The local authorities were supposed to protect and serve those who couldn’t protect themselves. But tonight, was a big night, because it was one of those nights a bigger crime syndicate to plot its diabolical schemes to top all crimes in history.’
‘The city needs protection. This is a city worth saving. Now, sides are at war in the criminal world. But war wasn’t going to save the city. This city’s only hope was now up to one person who could stand up to this crime war.
‘For anytime, anyplace, evildoers had better beware of this city’s greatest hero, its lethal protector of the innocent and helpless: Captain Dragon Fistfighter!’
Captain Dragon Fistfighter had a green ski mask with yellowish green stripes, a powdered dark green hoodie that was strapped with a black harness and gliding flaps that resembled a flying squirrel, blue camouflage cargo pants, gray and brown boots, a metal staff in two halves on his back, and a yellow band around his waist.
’With his incredible agility of the martial arts, and staying in the shadows, super soldier speed and strength, and the ability to use the martial art of the bo staff and the elemental power of fire while in combat, this city’s greatest hero was unstoppable!’
’But despite all the fame and fortune at his disposal, hiding in the shadows would have to wait, because when you’re facing the city’s biggest crime syndicates in history, there’s one thing that always remains missing from this point of action, and that’s-’
“SAM!” a voice shouted.
“GET UP!”
“You’ll be late for school!”
The dragon super soldier suddenly fell out of the comic world and landed into reality, as he found himself underneath his bedsheets and blankets.
It was a pleasant morning in the crime ridden city of Maretropolis. The sun rose beyond over the horizon, climbing over the peaks of the city’s buildings from smallest to tallest.
The sun’s morning ray soon found its way into a room, where a young boy, roughly at the age of fourteen, was in his bed before he heard the same voice again.
“Sam! Get up!”
The boy then got up and put on his clothes for today.
The boy had ruffled up spikes of dark olive green and brown streaked hairs, with matching green eyes. For his attire, he wore a powdered pistachio green t-shirt with the symbol of a yellow star on the front and dark blue cuffs on the crest and sleeves underneath a red sweatshirt that had light yellow stripes, a pair of blue jeans held up by a black canvas belt, and dark blue converse sneakers with lighter blue pads and soles.
”Yep. That’s me. My name is Samuel Cedric Heathspike, but my folks call me Sam. I live here in Maretropolis with my parents. But besides all of that, I’m just a normal kid, with a normal life. And today… is the beginning of a new school year for me, but this time at Maretropolis High, as a freshman in the 9th grade.” He then looked at his phone, as the time said 6:35am, “SHIT!”
“Alive” - Warbly Jets
After going downstairs to the kitchen, he grabbed himself breakfast, which was one waffle topped with butter and syrup made by his mom, and then brushed his teeth, before he grabbed his backpack and was out the front door in the nick of time.
“Bye, Mom! Bye, Dad! Love you two!” Sam shouted as he took off running to catch up to the bus.
“Bye, Sam! Have a good day, sweetie!” His mom called out, while washing the dishes from breakfast.
“Watch yourself out there, son! Just to let you know!” His dad suggestively added, reading a newspaper.
“No worries, dad!” Sam replied.
Sam panted heavily by the time he caught up to the bus as it arrived on time before he could run as fast as he normally can and jump onto the stairs and grab onto the handlebar. Exhausted, but feeling triumphant, he took a seat on the bus and then put on his ear-pods to listen to some of his favorite iTunes and pulled out a comic book to read before the bus drove off.
”It may not seem like you’re average normal type of city, but the city of Maretropolis is actually one of the biggest crime ridden cities on the whole planet. I’m just lucky enough to be alive with both of my parents, but that doesn’t still make the state of this city any better.”
“There’s just so many criminal activities running loose around the city, including thefts, drug deals, robberies, and many crime syndicates, and there’s just not enough cops to deal with it. All the more reason why my parents and I still live here, meaning someday, it’s gotta stop.
Sam turned the page of his comic book.
“Anyway, with all the crime waves in this city we had to live with, I sometimes tend to let myself lose in the comics of certain superheroes to take my mind off of things that stress me out. A little peace of mind, if that’s something you would normally call it, and maybe some friends of mine I can count on.”
The bus finally arrived at the front of the school, Maretropolis High. With a release of steam and pressure, the bus doors swung open, to let its passengers get off. Sam was now the last person to get off the bus. Breathing in the fresh air of his new school, he knew he had just taken the first step to starting the next stage of his life, going to high school and meeting future achievements.
“In the words of the courageous Neil Armstrong,” Sam began. “This is one small step for a man, and one giant leap for mankind, but in my world, a brighter future ahead." He then entered the school to start his day.
For his first class of the day, Sam had science class, with an awkwardly insane but really smart teacher named Dr. Robertshaw. He then walked into his classroom and took a seat with the other students.
Dr. Robertshaw was a tall, scrawny man with a neatly buzz trimmed and combed brown hair in a swept up curl and a small handlebar mustache, dark brown eyes, and wore a black coat over a black turtleneck sweater fleece, with dark charcoal gray khakis, and black shoes. He suddenly walked into the classroom, and in a caricature of a Canadian-American accent, “Good morning, my fellow students!”
They replied back, before the doctor saw Sam sitting at his desk, and then looked at him closely, “Are you new here?”
“Yes, I a...” Sam replied, until Dr. Robertshaw interrupted him.
“Of course you are!”
Sam was then about to shake his hand, and introduce himself, “My name is…”
Dr. Robertshaw cut him off, “Yip-bib-bib! No need for introductions, Mr. Heathspike.”
Sam was shocked, “But, how did…?”
Dr. Robertshaw leaned a little closer, and showed him one of his inventions, which was a badge cover with a red barcode icon on a black screen, “You’ve never seen or experienced anything like this before. It says I’m the top banana of this class, in a world full of hungry little monkeys. Allow me to clarify.” He turned his head making robot noises. “In a sequentially ranked hierarchy, based on level of critical importance, the disparity between us is too vast to quantify.”
“Is that supposed to mean something?” Sam asked.
“Just go with it. He’s like this most of the time,” a student, who was a boy replied.
“He just thinks you’re basic,” a girl student said.
“Okay, class. For your first assignment, you will all be doing the introduction packet for the important rules and traits of science class, meaning gather scientific method, and then study over the periodic tables given to each one of you, and that’ll also be your homework for tonight, which should suffice…” Robertshaw lectured, before he saw a student feeling confused. “Are you looking at me funny? Stop or I’ll pull up your search history.”
The student then gulped, until the crazy teacher continued, “And remember that if you have any problems with your assignments, report it straight to me… Blah-blah-blah, blah-blah-blah, blah-blah-blah.“
Sam looked down at his element, “Uhh… excuse me, sir? I’m not offending you or anything, but how are we supposed to start if you didn’t give us…?”
“Oh, I apologize for that, my dear boy,” Robertshaw began, until he confronted him in a creepy way. “And I suppose you’ve got a problem with that, or are you just being too smart for me, or maybe smart with me?”
“No, no problem at all. It’s just… we also don’t normally get homework on the first day, except on the second week, which is next week,” Sam said.
“Oh, I’m sorry that I didn’t recognize that… uhh… I’m sorry, what was your name again?” Robertshaw asked.
“Sam Heath…”
“Nobody cares!” Dr. Robertshaw interrupted Sam again, before going over to talk to him. “Nobody cares… Aww… don’t take it personally, my dear boy. But you wanna know why not everybody else cares what you think? Because not everyone in this world cares about you feeble accomplishments in the future. And not everyone cares about how proud your Mommy is that you’re reading in a third and fifth grade reading level, and that your Daddy is a strong man in the police force, serving his country with great honor. You ever finished Charlotte’s Web yet? Spoiler alert: she dies at the end and leaves a big egg sac! But you can be better, because I have a lot coming out of my egg sac.” Sam started to feel scared.
He then walked over to the center of the class and spoke to his students. “But… you know what I love about science? It’s all about knowledge! It’s about working for basic methods and critical thinking! You don't need time off to get drunk and put the boat in the water!
“But we’re just kids.”
“Exactly! And all of you, do what you’re told. Do the assignments I give you, and we’ll all get along just fine. Now that anyone else doesn’t have anymore complaints…” the students shook their heads. “…you may begin.”
The students then began their assignments while Dr. Robertshaw watched from his side of the room.
“Man, that guy is crazy,” Sam sighed in relief, happy to at last be over with science class.
“Tell me about it. I don’t know why they hired him anyway,” a voice commented in reply. “You said it,” another voice said, to which Sam turns around to see two freshman boys about his age, but a little bit taller. One had vivid opal eyes covered by a pair of sunglasses the same color but also with a green gradient, and the other had vivid purple eyes also covered a pair of sunglasses in the same color but had a lighter gradient, they had black combed hair except the other one had a dyed shade of red on it, and they both wore darker gray button up sweatshirts, but one of them had a dark cerulean blue shirt with the image of a scarab beetle in a circle at the front and the other had a crimson red shirt with the image of a rhinoceros beetle in a circle at the front, both wore black cargo pants, gray socks and black sneakers.
”This guy is Thornton Alexander, and the other was Preston Alexander, his brother, but their personal nicknames were...”
“Thorax! Pharynx!” Sam yelled happily to see two of his best friends. “Glad to see you, guys!”
“Same here, Sam!” Thornton said as they both hugged their friend and then did a triple fist pounding handshake.
“It’s nice to know that we’re both gonna suffer through high school together, huh?” Sam joked.
“Yeah, I hear that,” Preston said.
“So, how was your summer?” Sam asked.
“It was pretty great, but Preston and I will tell you more about it later. Come on, we better get to our next class,” Thornton said.
With that, the three happily reunited besties walked down the halls together before arriving at their next class, which was language arts. One of Thornton’s favorite kind of classes and in his field of expertise, same for Preston. The three boys found a couple of seats and sat next to each other, just as the teacher came into the classroom.
In appearance, the teacher was a tall, intimidatingly attractive, but yet professionally intimidating (in a good or nicer person way) and voluptuous woman with long jet black hair with dyed streaks of dark cerulean and a darker green and black butterfly hair clip over her beautiful piercing green eyes and dark cerulean eyeshadow and lipstick. She also had blackish cerulean nail polish, but claw shaped. She wore a black suit including a matching blazer jacket and cropped mid rise pants, with a green blouse underneath and a black necktie, black knee high nylon socks and black high heeled Mary Janes.
“Good morning, everyone,” she said. “Welcome to English 101, home of the literature and language arts. For those of you who don’t know me, I am Miss Christina Chrysalis and I will be your instructor for the year.”
And after doing an introduction lecture on the class, the class for the semester began as the students started doing their assignments.
When English class was over, the three boys were walking out of class, while Sam was feeling like he’s been seductively traumatized by a teacher. “Okay, that lady is a bombshell!” Sam said in excitement. “But she was kinda hot.”
“Yeah, she even makes Maleficent sound friendly,” Thornton added. “I don’t know why I was afraid of her, but it sounded pretty good.”
“You’re telling me,” Preston said.
Sam somehow couldn’t get what happened out of his head.
Earlier…
In English class, the teacher, Ms. Chrysalis was teaching her lesson towards her students.
While the students did their worksheets with the textbooks, she was leaning over Sam’s desk and spoke while motioning to his book, “You see, Mr. Heathspike, you’re meant to use the semicolon right here.” she instructed, as she pointed out his mistake.
“Yes, ma’am,” he answered.
Sam, who had been leaning back from Chrysalis, who was too close for comfort.
It was hard to not look down or away from her. He somehow saw that the top two buttons of her blouse were unbuttoned and the other top parts of her jacket undone, and seeing right down into the generous view of her gorgeous breasts.
‘Must resist!’ he thought while keeping his eyes from looking at her chest.
“You know, Mr. Heathspike, if you keep having trouble with this, I’d be more than happy to privately tutor you,” Chrysalis smiled.
“You what?” Sam winced, as she got closer.
“Yes. After all, if there’s one thing this school doesn’t tolerate, it’s really poor grades. And what kind of teacher would I be if one of my students grades started plummeting?” the woman then continued to flirt with him, ignoring all the stares from the other students. Unfortunately Sam wasn’t able to ignore them so much.
Right now…
Sam suddenly realized that his English teacher was actually teasing him in a playful way, and kinda felt relaxed that it was all over. “I hate to say it, but I’m starting to think that the rest of this first day of school may not be so bad. So, why don’t we give it a go?” Sam asked his buds.
“Yeah, you’re right! Let’s do it!” Thornton said in agreement.
However, Sam wasn’t looking where he was going, when he was hit in the face by a locker door.
BANG!
“OW!” Sam wailed, falling to the floor from the impact. “Ugh…my face!”
“Whoa, Sam! Are you okay?!” Thornton asked.
“Oh my gosh! I am so sorry! Are you alright?!” the student exclaimed, immediately getting down to help Sam up.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks, uhh…” the boy looked up and was immediately lost as he gazed into the moderate opal eyes of a girl, who appeared to be the age of a junior or senior, with brilliant scarlet red hair with fire shaped streaks of golden yellow stylized in a long flow of curls with one small curly bang over her head. Her attire included a black leather jacket with orange arrow stripes on the sleeves and silver studs on the collars over a magenta shirt with a orange and yellow blazing print of a phoenix on fire and a red and yellow shimmering sun symbol in the center, an orange skirt with yellow and magenta stripes on the left side, and a pair of black boots with purple flames at the toes.
“Anyways, again I’m really sorry, I didn’t see you there,” the girl apologized.
“No, no, it was my fault,” Sam replied, while rubbing the spots that almost hurt on his face. “I guess I should’ve looked where I was going.”
“Okay. Well, either way, I hope you boys have a nice day. See you around.” With that said, the girl started off and took her leave, disappearing among the unexpected crowd of students walking to their next classes or to get stuff from their lockers.
“Wow… she seems like a nice girl,” Thor complimented.
“Oh, yeah. She really is,” Sam said, while gazing at her hips moving. “Who was that anyhow?”
“That’s Scarlett Dusk,” a passing female student whispered. “She works with animal philanthropist, Rain Shine, the founder of the all-time homeless animal sanctuary, Kirin’s Natural Lodge of Animal Care, so of course she’s nice, but she’s had a rough life before coming here. Many male students can’t get their looks off of her.”
“Kirin’s Natural Lodge of Animal Care?” Sam asked, before it rang a bell in his memory. “Oh, yeah! My mom works there part-time as the nurse, and is Dr. Fauna’s partner.”
“Really?” Theodore asked.
“Yeah,” Sam replied, and then explained. “She and Dr. Fauna help the animals with their medicine and gives them their vaccinations so that they don’t get any sicknesses, including rabies, and does a good job at doing it.”
“Wow, you’ve got a good mom who cares for animals,” Preston nodded.
“But I didn’t even know her life was bad before. Maybe I should ask how it happened next time I see her,” Sam asked.
“Probably a good idea, buddy,” Theodore said. “And speaking of which, I’m starving. Let’s get some lunch.” Preston said.
“You just read my mind, pal,” Sam said as he and the two brothers went to lunch.
The three boys made it to the school’s cafeteria, went up in line, got their trays of food and were now on the search for a table for the both of them to sit at. However, almost nearly half of a quarter of them were filled up. “Man, where are we gonna find ourselves a table?” Sam asked.
A voice called out for the boys. “Hey, Sam! Thorax! Pharynx! Over here!” They quickly turned towards the direction of the voice, to see a table being seated by a freshman girl, who was also taller than Sam.
“Gwen!” Sam called happily, as he, Thornton, and Preston took their seats with the girl.
‘This is Gwendolyn Brooks Griffiths, but normally, we call her Gwen for short. She’s really enthusiastic towards others, and has an amazing sense of humor like other people do.’
Gwen had moderate turquoise eyes, her hair dyed arctic bluish gray and tied in a small bun on the back of her head by a light blue band. She wore an arctic bluish and cyanish gray hooded jacket with a light cornflower bluish gray plush layer underneath the hood over a white shirt with dark bluish gray cuffs, a pair of dark azureish gray denim cargo short pants exposing half her legs, and charcoal grayish blue sneakers and bluish white socks.
“Wow, it’s great to have two familiar faces on the first day of school, especially since they’re my friends,” Sam smiled.
“Yeah. It sure is,” Gwen replied.
“How’ve you been, Gwen?” Preston asked.
“I’m having the best first day as a freshman!” Gwen exclaimed happily. “I’m already liking my new teachers, and both Mathematics and World History were so much fun!”
Sam, Thornton and Preston muttered, until Sam spoke up, “Glad you’re happy, Gwen. Lucky you’re not stuck with one of the works I’ve got.”
“Not too bad, though half of the teaching staff here scare the living daylights out of me,” Sam said.
“How so?” Gwen asked.
“My science teacher, Dr. Robertshaw is kinda looney in an evil way,” Sam commented.
“Well, there's my science teacher, Dr. Robertshaw. He’s kinda looney,” he made the cuckoo clock gesture. “but in an evil way. He’s like scary beyond all reason.” He then shuddered.
“I’ll admit he seems intimidating,” Thornton admitted.
“Well, at least he’s not as clearly like those criminal scumbags out there,” Preston said.
“Not as intimidating as Professor Flintheart though. I know he was a little grouchy, but he wasn’t doing it on purpose,” Gwen said.
“And then there’s Ms. Chrysalis in English. She even kept looking at me and just about every male student in class in a flirtatious way. I think she might be a pedophile,” Sam trembled.
“I think you’re exaggerating on that one,” Gwen replied dryly.
“Am I, Gwen?!” Sam snapped, “When she asked me a question, she leaned over onto my desk and...” he looked around and then leaned in and whispered to her, ”gave me a view of her cleavage.”
Gwen’s eyes widened, “She didn’t.”
“She did,” Spike nodded. “She even had her top buttons undone, including her jacket. I panicked.”
“Oh, my.” Gwen gasped.
“Sorry that had to happen, but with us, we’ll help you get through with this, I promise you,” Preston said.
“Preston’s right,” Thornton said. “We’re with you till the end.”
“Oh, and get this! I’ve also planned to do a report on Miss Estrella Tresemmé, isn’t that wonderful?” Gwen asked.
“Yeah, that’s - wait, who?” Sam asked, until he, along with Thornton and Preston asked again. “Who’s Estrella Tresemmé?”
“She’s the lead head CEO of Bloom’s Shampoo and Conditioner Inc.” Gwen explained. “She’s a very hardworking woman, and very generous, but also gets stressed out sometimes, leading to a temper tantrum.”
“How so?” Sam asked, until Gwen started explaining everything during lunch.
Somewhere in Maretropolis, was a factory owned by the hair-care product Hair Bloom. Overseeing the products around the factory was the CEO herself, Estrella Tresemmé, who was a tall curvaceous woman with light cornflower blue hair and matching eyes, and wore a dark grayish orchid business suit over a light purple blouse that had a light blue metallic cubic chain necklace with purple spiked beads, and purple high heels.
“What’s the word on that next batch of shampoo?” Tresemmé asked one of her employees. “It has to be ready in time for the upcoming shoot with the most popular and famous supermodel, Fleur Delacour the Flower Knight Baroness.”
“It’ll soon be ready, Mrs. Tresemmé,” one of the staffs reported. She was a woman that appeared to be in her late 20’s with moderate rose pink hair tied up in a bun, a pair of glasses that framed her moderate indigo to grayish purple gradient eyes, and she wore a dark gray jacket and skirt, a light blue blouse with a gray striped tie, and black high heels, turning out to be her assistant manager.
“Oh! What am I going to do?! The deadline for the contract expires in less than a month and we haven’t successfully completed the process yet!” Estrella hollered. “ESTRELLA! Calm down! We’ll figure something out,” the assistant manager replied.
“Thank you, Mrs. Swanson. You know, I don’t know what I’ve done without you. You’ve been such a good assistant manager,” Estrella said.
Suddenly, an smoking explosion erupted, but then a scientist came out, coughing. He had gray hair but was combed all the way back, leaving a huge bald front, a bluish gray work shirt with a black striped tie, a white lab coat, gray pants, and black shoes. He also had black glasses over his dark brown eyes. His name was Dr. Mendel Simmons.
“DR. SIMMONS! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!” Mrs, Swanson asked.
“Yea, I’m fine, Mrs. Swanson. Thank you,” Dr. Simmons said.
“Doctor?! What happened?!” Estrella asked in concern.
“Another slight accidental slip or maybe a misunderstanding of the reactions to the chemicals we’ve ordered from the chemical plant, but I have a hunch that we’re close. Just need to do it again… carefully, plus I’m also figuring out what actually went wrong, but I’ll let you know,” the scientist explained.
“Thank you for telling me, Dr. Simmons. Just do what you can. We need this done as soon as possible, but take your time. I can afford any more mistakes if they’re unexpectedly rushed,” Estrella said.
“Ahem! Pardon me? Is there a problem, Mrs. Tresemmé?” said a voice. The woman and both her employees both jumped, startled by the voice, before they turned to see their important guests.
One up front was a man with a neatly combed azure blue hair and matching mustache, dressed in a black business suit over a white shirt and gold and black striped tie, black and white shoes, and complete with a monocle and a bowler hat. His name tag read Sir Francois Pottington.
Standing beside him were a man and woman, both dressed in business attires, but the man wore a light gray business suit over a green shirt with sweater and white tie, and the woman wore a jacket and skirt in light grayish purple over a white shirt that had some of her lower buttons undone exposing some cleavage, had a cerulean bead necklace around her neck and pink pearl earrings, and pink Mary Jane high heels. The man’s name tag read Jetson Fowler and the woman’s name tag read Upanova Fowler.
There was another man wearing a white suit with maroon stripes, a grayish maroon shirt and a blackish blood red tie, and had gray hair and goatee. His name tag read Porter C. Powell.
“Ah, Sir Francois, Mr. and Mrs. Fowler, Mr. Powell,” Estrella greeted as she composed herself. “Always a pleasure to have our board of directors pay us a little visit.”
“It would seem we’ve come at a very bad time,” Sir Francois commented solemnly, while cleaning his monocle before putting it back on and then taking off his black bowler hat and holding it. “But if it’s all the same to you, we would like to see the progress report on the next brand of shampoos and conditioners.”
“I have to agree,” Powell complemented.
“Especially when this is for the next upcoming shooting with the lovely Flower Knight Baroness, Fleur “Dis Lee” Delecour, as you would recall,” Jetson stated.
“Obviously, and the last thing we ever need for the poor darling would be a disastrous surprise that leaves her with revolting cracked skin and split-ends,” Upanova added before shuddering with disgust. “Why, that’d be the last thing ever so hideous and absolutely revolting we’d ever wanted.”
“And we completely understand that,” Dr. Simmons said, as he and Mrs. Swanson walked alongside the directors, with Estrella in front. “And the results we currently have is this. With the addition of that chemical content we’ve recently received from our close partnership company, H.I.V.E. InGen Corp, but from the chemical plant downtown, our shampoo and conditioner formulas will have the potential of increasing hair buoyancy and softness for up to over 800%! But I assure you we’ll make sure it stays in a safer percentage if it increases more, and hopefully by your standards.”
“Hmmm…” Sir Francois thought, stroking his mustache. “That does sound indefinitely promising. But just to be safe, any side effects we should know?”
Dr. Simmons’ expression turned solemnly stern, preparing to answer to his superiors, when Estrella intervened for his defense, “It was just a small setback, but I assure you, almost all the tests since then have been successful, but some have failed.” The CEO said in defense, as Sir Francois narrowed his eyes in skeptical doubt.
“And in the test that went wrong? What were the so-called side-effects?” Powell asked, directly to both the scientist and assistant manager lady.
“I was afraid to answer that question to you straight, sir,” Mrs. Swanson began, until Dr. Simmons took over. “But unfortunately, there’s been signs of unpredictable growth in hairs in different lengths, determined to be uncontrollable and unstable, a few risks of skin diseases including itching rashes or stinging burns, possibly flaky scalps, and if it goes unchecked, it might even risk in an unexpected case of baldness or maybe even worse than that. We’re trying to come up with more safer options for this to work, but every time we test it out, things go wrong.”
“Oh dear…” Sir Francois muttered, as the other directors felt worried. “And what would you recommend for this?”
Again, Estrella defensively interrupted, “With the honorable work of my assistant manager Mrs. Swanson and our research specialist Dr. Oscar Simmons, the rest of the faculty has certified the Simple Beauty shampoo and conditioner products to be ready for the upcoming shoot with the Baroness, as long as we have no further delays and that hopefully we get it done before you even know it.”
“Mrs. Swanson? Dr. Simmons?” Sir Francois asked, turning his attention to the two employees.
Taking in a slow deep breath, Mrs. Swanson let Dr. Simmons speak in his honest opinion, “If it doesn’t work, we might have to take the whole line back to formula.” With that, the board’s faces turned sour, while Estrella looked at her workers in concern, but spoke up for them again.
“But if you could give Dr. Simmons some more time, money and maybe one more second chance, we’ll have it ready before you can say “flower diva”,” Estrella said.
“Very well, Mrs. Tresemmé. We’ll give them plenty of to complete this. But if it isn’t done by then, we’ll have to cut off the deal and give it to someone else, like our predecessors, Mrs. Kerfuffle Bobbin and Howard Thompson, and their new lines of fashionable dresses instead. So if you want the shoot for the Baroness, then I’d suggest you get it over with.” Powell said. “I’m sorry, Estrella. But this is your second chance.”
“I understand. Have a good day, all of you. Now, Mrs. Swanson will show you the way out,” Estrella said, as she sighed depressingly, before Dr. Simmons could comfort her. “Do what you can. We must have it prepared sooner than ever.”
The scientist nodded and then got to work on his research.
Meanwhile, back at Maretropolis High, the school day had officially come to an end. The students came pouring out of the school, glad to be free from the first school day and very eager to relax and get on with the rest of their days.
After everyone went home or somewhere fun in the city, Sam, Thornton and Preston were later on walking back home, while Gwen was off for a job she recently applied for, as a mail courier.
“We’ll see you tomorrow, buddy,” Thornton said, fist bumping Sam. “Same here, guys,” Sam said, and then they parted ways.
On his way home, Sam noticed some breaking news on the local news network playing on a large TV in the display in front of a electronics store, so he stopped and listened.
“Greetings, this is Clark Hawkins with Veronica Snyder and we shall now bring you on the current update of the crimewave that’s been plaguing our beloved city,” the anchorman began. “Last night, a major big hit jewelry store was robbed. It’s most precious gems taken including the Fabulous Baseball Diamond. Investigators and other local authorities believe that it is the work of the infamous masked and faceless cat burglar, Shadow Cat!”
The anchorwoman next to the anchorman reported the next one, “Next, a turf war broke out between the Longclaw Falcon Clan and the Snake Eye Ninja Group, which was put to a halt thanks to the valiant efforts of none other than police Lieutenant Kent Jefferson Heathspike.”
Sam smiled at this with a smirk, “Way to go, Dad.”
“Lastly,” The anchorman continued, “A new gang has appeared calling themselves the Nirik Shadow Demons, having already set a big foothold in multiple corners and warehouse facilities in Chinatown, and many other districts in the city. Just who are these mysterious terrorists? Nobody knows but they mean serious business. More of it as it develops once more…”
“Chinatown, huh?” Sam said. “That’s the territories of the groups mentioned, and it’s near the other downtown area, where the Rockhounds are located, including Tombstone.”
Suddenly, Sam’s phone rang, as he took it out of his pocket and answered it, revealing his mother on the phone.
“Hey, Mom.”
“Hey, honey. How was school?”
“It was good. But some of my teachers are a little bit assertive. Ms. Chrysalis, my English teacher kinda flirted with me a little, but she was very nice, and kinda hot. But the other bad news is that I’ve got the most complete maniacal crazy science teacher in the world, almost sounding like an evil scientist wanting to take over the world!”
“Oh, honey, I’m sure you’ll get over it soon.”
“But I also forgot to mention that I also saw Thornton and his brother Preston, and Gemma today, and they’ve had a nice summer. Get this: Thornton and Preston said that they both and their family have visited Japan for the summer, and there they explored Mount Fuji, and attended some kind of paraded festival.”
“Oh, good!”
“And dad stopped another crime war that was reported on the news,” Sam said somberly.
“What’s wrong, sweetheart?”
“I… I just… I just wish I could do something about all this, you know?” Sam replied. “I kean, come on! Dad and the MPD can only do so much, no thanks to the ‘budget cuts’ the mayor has to offer. He never even cares about anything.”
“I know how you feel, honey. But it’s best not to dwell on it too much, otherwise you’ll feel let down,” his mom said.
“Yeah, like in Spider-Man, ‘with great power comes great responsibility,’ right?”
“Exactly, dear.”
Sam sighed, “You’re right, Mom. Thanks. If it’s okay with you, I’ll probably be home a little later, but I promise I’ll be careful and possibly in time for dinner.”
“Okay, honey. Just don’t stay out too late, okay? I’ll be home soon as well, too. Oh, and could you go get your sister Molly and brother Danny on your way home? Thank you. I love you.”
“Love you too, Mom. And I’ll do that. Bye.” He then hung up, and went to go pick up his little sister, Molly and his little brother, Danny, from school.
Sam later arrived back at his house, with his sister Molly and his brother Danny, who was shorter than Sam and a lot younger, like she was 7 years old, and had ash blonde hair with small ponytails with dark maroon bows, a white short sleeve shirt with pink linings and a red heart in the center, magenta pants and red closed toed shoes that reached her ankles.
Danny was also shorter than Sam, but taller than Molly, and he was 10 years old. He had reddish orange hair and matching freckles, green eyes, and he wore a blue short sleeve hoodie jacket with a huge lighter blue stripe in the center and darker blue cuffs and hood, gray denim pants, red sneakers, and red and black fingerless gloves, and a red and white ball cap with a blue brim at the front and a black clip on the backside, and a black and red Pokémon symbol on the front.
“Thanks for picking me and Danny up, big brother,” Molly said. “No problem, Molly. You should thank Mom for asking me as well,” Sam replied.
Upon opening the front door, the two were greeted by a 21 year old girl.
“Guess who?!” the tall girl greeted Sam and. In appearance, she had blue eyes and pale light grayish blonde hair tied in a ruffled ponytail which flows down her back and just past her waist, to the top of her pants, and had a reddish pink hair band on the neck section. For attires, she wore dark blue denim pants, an orange rolled up sleeved t-shirt exposing half her midriff, a leather wristband with a watch and a black string bracelet with three silver star charms and 3 bands, but two in cyan and one in yellow, a gold chain necklace with a heart charm, and a pair of dark brown boots with darker brown lining and lighter brown edges on the toes, plus a matching belt with a golden buckle.
“Megan!” Sam greeted the girl, as he ran up to her and the two embraced each other in a loving hug, as he felt himself pressed against her exposed stomach and his head underneath her breasts, before Megan giggled and stroked his cheek gingerly. Molly and Danny hugged their big sister, but with Molly on the leg and knee, nuzzling her thigh, and Danny on her waist and other thigh.
‘This is Megan Williams. She’s my big sister, and Molly and Danny Williams are also my youngest siblings, too. Why do they have different last names, you ask? Well, a while back, Dad found them from recovering a car accident that caused them to lose their parents, so we all thought it’d be best to take them all in our family and give them a good home. So you could say that they’re our foster family members, but I still love them like their part of our actual family. Today, Megan was visiting after coming home from college, and she was already an actual woman right now.’
“How’s college?” Sam asked. “It’s going well. So, already in high school, huh?” Megan asked.
Sam nodded, “But it’s still good to see you, Meg.”
“Same here,” Megan said, ruffling his hair.
Suddenly, they all started to hear a barking sound and they see their dog, Milo, who was a Jack Russell Terrier running towards them. Sam smiles, “Hey, buddy! I missed you too!” He said as he kneeled down and gave him a belly rub with his fingers.
After Sam was done giving Milo his belly rub, and then petted him before the puppy licked his face, he got up and then saw Danny in front of him, “You wanna play a round?”
“Oh, it’s on! On like Donkey Kong!” Sam said, as he and Danny ran upstairs to play some Super Smash Bros.
Megan then got a call from her boyfriend, and answered it, “Hello?”
“… …”
“Oh, hey, Jeremy! How are you?!”
“… …”
“Yeah, I’m good, babe. How about you?”
“… …”
“Nothing much, just hanging out with my family for dinner tonight. I’m cooking with Mom again. Hehehe… so, how’s musician school coming along? I heard you’re learning how to play country base guitar. That’s nice.”
“… …”
“Of course I’d love to see you play sometime, Mr. Soon-To-Be-Popular Country Music Star.”
“… …”
“No way! For real?!”
“… …”
“Well, that’s great! I’d love to hear more!”
Later on, back upstairs, Sam and Danny were now watching an Japanese anime cartoon with English subtitles. (Based off Pokémon, Naruto, and Dragon Ball altogether)
While Danny and Sam were acting out, Megan suddenly came upstairs, and knocked on the door, “Hey, hey, what are you two nimrods doing?”
She was also holding their baby sister, Theodora, who had blackish brown hair with two small pigtail braids, and a cute set of baby clothes in gray, blue, purple and pink, and was sucking on her pacifier held by a lanyard clipped onto her clothes but used one hand to fidget with it.
“Nothing…” Danny said.
“Just watching a cartoon,” Sam said. “Something we brothers love to do.”
Megan sighed, “Whatever. Anyways, if you do are done, it’s time for dinner.”
Sam then asked, “Are you joining us for dinner, Meg?”
“You bet. That’s why I’m here,” she replied.
“Cool, so anyone know what we’re having tonight?” Sam asked.
“Creamy pesto pasta and garlic bread, but also mixed vegetables, and chicken breast,” Megan answered.
“Cool!” Danny and Sam said in unison, as Molly giggled, before she and Megan followed, with the baby in her arms.
As the kids walked down from the bedroom, they are suddenly approached by the prescience of a woman in her early forties cooking with Megan. She had reddish brown and grayish purple streaked hair, and green eyes. She wore a cerulean nurse outfit underneath a sand tan and white cotton fleece jacket, an apron, and black slip on shoes. She was Wanda Heathspike, Sam’s mother.
“Bad news, sweetie,” Wanda said to Sam. “I just got a call from your father and he’s pulling another all-nighter at work, so he won’t be joining us for dinner.”
“Yeah, I know,” Sam replied in disappointingly depression.
“I’m sorry, sweetie,” Wanda sighed, as she hugged her son and kissed his forehead.
“Don’t be. I completely understand,” Sam said, in a tone a little sad by this. This normally wasn’t the first time that this happened with the MPD being dangerously understaffed most of the time though his father always made up his mind for this like taking his son out for some quality time together as father and son. Still, Sam does worry about his father when something like this happens as it also means he’s on a big case right now.
“Sam! Wash up for dinner!” Wanda said. Sam nodded and went to go wash his hands so they can eat.

After dinner was done, Wanda and Megan were washing all of their dishes from dinner.
“Mom, I’m gonna take Milo out for a walk,” Sam said as he put on his leash, and grabbing his exercise bag, packed with a flashlight, a water bottle, and a first aid kit. “I’ll be back later.”
“Ok, honey. Just be careful,” Wanda called out. “And don’t forget that it’s a school night, so don’t stay out too late.”
“Don’t worry, Mom, I’ll keep that in mind!” Sam called out, before he left through the door, with Milo on the leash. “Come on, buddy.”
As he and Milo were walking, the sun was barely shining over the horizon of the city while setting until nighttime would appear. As it lowered, all of the city’s lights were starting to come on like Christmas lights, as Sam and Milo walked through the big city.
After walking for a short while, the two arrived in the Maretropolis Central Park, which was empty at the time and so was the baseball field, which was normally used for school related baseball games, and the playground, which was used for any person of any younger age, meaning the two of them had the whole park all to themselves, and maybe had some time to play before heading home.
Sam unhooked Milo from his leash and then took out his dog’s favorite ball from his pocket, which was a tennis ball colored orange and blue with green lining and the “Chuck It!” logo on it, and then looked at Milo.
“Hey. You wanna play fetch?” he asked, as Milo jumped happily. Sam then giggled and threw the ball somewhere so that it wouldn’t get lost. “Good boy! Go get it!”
Milo ran fast as he normally can while chasing after the ball, before he returned it to Sam, wagging his tail and jumping happily.
“Good boy, Milo!” Sam complimented the dog, stroking his head and chin lovingly, and then threw it again, and then continued to throw it multiple times, and letting Milo return it to his owner, but before he could throw the ball once again, some of the lights in the park blacked out. “What’s going on with the lights?” he asked, and the Jack Russell Terrier suddenly looked up and barked loudly in alarm. “Whoa, whoa, easy, Milo. What’s gotten y—” That was when the area around the park grew brighter and brighter with a strange source of light coming from above.
Sam turned his head towards the sky and looked up to see a huge blazing ball of fire with colorful streaks flying overhead.
“Look out!” Sam shouted, tackling his dog and running towards the baseball field, and then ducked themselves to the ground as the comet flew past them and headed somewhere far from the park before reaching the forest, and towards the snow covered mountains before an explosion was heard from them.
After that near death experience was over, and the lights in the park came back on, Sam and Milo slowly regained themselves and stood back up. “What the heck was that?! A satellite?!” Sam asked, before Milo barked in response.
“You’re right, boy. It’s too big for something like that to make that kind of explosion. But I bet someone might need help, but hopefully it may or may not be an airplane from the airport, just hope I’m not wrong. Come on, let’s go check it out.” With that, Sam took out his flashlight and grabbed a baseball bat as they both took off running to investigate what it was with Milo following behind and hooked up to his leash.
Upon arriving in the forest, both Sam and Milo were shocked to see a large smoldering crater imprinted on the ground and towards somewhere in the snowy mountain region. Taking more serious precautions for a closer look, Sam picked up the baseball bat as he slowly walked towards the cratered mountainside with Milo walking beside him, to find what appeared to be an alien spaceship stuck inside what was now a huge cave surrounded by a wall of ice and rocks, and a few puddles of water.
“What in the world?” Sam asked, as he walked closer towards the ship and inspected the paint job as it was gunmetal gray and had some chrome silver left over. “Whoa…” Before Sam could do anything, there was suddenly a bright flash of light that shined on the ship, outlining the frames of the door and releasing some steam, before it opened up to reveal a group of six beautiful girls.
Each of the girls had super suits that matched both their powers or skills and such.
The first girl had dark sapphire blue hair with with moderate purple and brilliant raspberry streaks, along with both a long bang styled in the shape of a fan that was combed to the side of her head and a ponytail on the back. She wore a maroon bodysuit with light gray arm braces and boots that have maroon linings and pink stars on the wrists and front anterior of her legs, and a cornflower blue shield on her chest and shoulders with a star shaped crest along, a belt around her waist, a mask that matched the color of her suit, which came with goggles that framed her beautiful purple eyes, a cornflower blue headpiece that points down with a purple gem and a horn protruding.
The second girl had poofy and bouncy pink hair sticking out on the back and front and baby blue eyes. Her outfit was a skin-tight white bodysuit with purple lightning bolts traced around her arms, thighs, knees, and feet, before they all met at the center of her chest, outlining her breasts, and she had pink balloon symbols on her arms and knees.
The third girl had long rainbow colored spiky hair that was glowing while pulsing and vibrating with electrical currents, and moderate fuchsia eyes. Her attire was a blackish blue bodysuit with white trimmings in the shape of thunderbolts, matching white boots and gloves with those trimmings, white lightning bolt linings around her waist, pale grayish yellow lightning bolts on her boots, gloves, and thighs, and a black and white helm on her head. Around her neck was a silver ribbon with a glowing yellow lightning shaped medallion pulsing with electricity.
The fourth girl had a beautiful moderate indigo hair with purple gradient shadows underneath that was done in elegant and graceful curls, and encrusted with pink gemstones all over. She wore a dark blue collared bodysuit with prints of baby blue diamonds around her thighs, matching boots with gold trimmings on the top of her boots, sapphire heels underneath the soles, and gold rings with pink gems, matching gloves, a huge gold ring with a huge pink gem on her shoulders, a gold belt with pink gems around her waist, and a matching eye mask that framed her dazzling sapphire blue eyes. She also had a pair of glowing pink gemstone bracelets on both her wrists.
The fifth girl had a agile muscular body build and blonde hair. She wore a red collared jumpsuit over a green shirt, a pair of gloves and boots in the same color but with black trimmings and yellow apples on her boot trimmings. She also wore a black belt around her waist with a golden lasso hanging off of one side of her hips, along with a pair of golden horseshoe shaped boomerangs on the other side of her hips. Her black mask framed most of her face and her emerald green eyes, and her hair was wrapped in a long green ribbon.
And last but not least, the sixth and final girl had a long overflowing pink hair, and she wore a cerulean bodysuit, a darker pink neck scarf with pink frills underneath that was held by a pink flower clip, darker pink boots and gloves with moderate pink prints and trimmings that were shaped like flower petals, a moderate pink lacing shaped like flower petals around her waist, pink bead bracelets on her arms, wrists and legs while the ones on her arms and legs were decorated with yellow butterflies on the front, and a darker pink mask that framed her beautiful moderate cyan eyes.
“Hey, look!” The pink haired girl in the white suit exclaimed while pointing at Sam and Milo.
“Greetings, earthling,” the first girl greeted warmly with a smile. “We come in peace. Please put down your weapon down on the ground.”
“W-Who are you?” Sam asked, after he finally found his voice. Milo growled at them while he stood by Sam. “Wh-Wh-Who are guys?!”
“Please, at ease,” the leader held her hands up in defense. “We mean you no harm—”
“Back! Stay back!” Sam shouted, swinging the baseball bat at the girl. “I’m warning you! Don’t come near me!”
“Hey, hey!” the rainbow haired girl shouted, leaping into action, and charging one of her hands with electricity, and holding a electric ball. “Lightning strikes twice, you know. You hurt my friends, and I’ll make your life flash twice!” Sam whimpered and cowered in fear.
“Zapp!” the blonde haired girl scolded as she as she quickly snatched the girl’s hand, with the use of a golden glowing lasso, and then stood in front of Sam and Milo. “What have we talked about antagonizing the earthlings?!”
“Well, he started it,” the rainbow haired girl argued, now identified to be Zapp.
“Well, you all came down to Earth crashing in a huge blazing ball of fire!” Sam shouted. “How was I supposed to know you’re not invaders?!”
“Earthlings… common species they are,” Zapp commented.
“Be nice! Can’t you see the poor dear’s frightened to death?!” the girl with the curly gem-covered hair said.
The first girl then rolled her eyes, and then kneeled down to look at Sam with a soft smile and then began, “Anyway, we apologize for startling you. But now I believe the first order of business is introducing ourselves,” With that, she began. “We are the Harmonian Defenders, an elite intergalactic peacekeeping team of heroines from the planet Harmonius, another world in a distant galaxy far away from Earth.”
“Another planet? That’s awesome!” Sam said.
The girl blushed, but then continued, by introducing herself, “I am the leader, Princess Twilight Star Nova the Masked Matter-Horn. And now, I’d like you to meet my friends, who are these 5 brave heroines beside me. This here is Zapp, Mistress Marvelous, Saddle Rager, Radiance, and Fili-Second.” she said, introducing and directing both Sam and Milo’s attentions to the respective girls. “Please forgive us for our sudden intrusions. We mean no disrespect, and certainly have no unreasonable intentions to invade your planet.”
“Then, why are you here?” Sam asked, lowering his bat down.
“We were sent here to protect your planet, by orders of our queen,” Mistress Marvelous said the last part, to which the girls all looked down, feeling a saddened sorrow at the mere mention of their queen.
Judging from the change of mood and emotion, including the saddened expression on their faces, Sam could probably tell something terrible must’ve happened to both their queen and their planet, and started to feel sorry for them, including Milo as he whined and whimpered with sadness and sympathy for them. The girl with the flowing pink hair, Saddle Rager looked down at Milo and gasped with a beaming and gasping smile of delight, and bigger eyes.
“Oh my gosh! Who’s this little guy?!” she asked, zooming over to the little doggie. “Oh, his name’s Milo, and he’s… my dog,” Sam said, until Saddle Rager squished his cheeks lovingly. “Oh! He’s so cute!” Milo then licked her hands, until Saddle Rager stroked his on the neck and back, before Milo licked her face, causing her to giggle. “You’re such a cute little sweetheart. Yes, you are! Yes, you are!” She then rubbed his belly, and then after that, she carefully lifted him up and held him in her arms, before Radiance looked at him.
“Well, I certainly must say, he really is so adorable,” she said, tickling his chin with her fingers, and she then gave him multiple kisses.
“Glad someone’s noticed my dog,” Sam said, before he somehow realized he didn’t introduce his name to the girls. “Oh! My name’s Samuel Heathspike, by the way. But you can call me Sam, or Samuel. Whichever one works.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Sam,” Masked Matterhorn returned the greeting by shaking his hand. “By the way, it’s my honor to welcome you girls to Earth,” Sam said, before Masked Matterhorn nodded in confirmation.
Suddenly, the slightly faint wails of police sirens rang from outside the park and near their distant location. “What is that?!” Zapp defensively asked, with her medallion cracking with lightning, ready for action. “Are we under attack?!”
“No, those are just police sirens. Police sirens?! That means…” Sam began pondering why the sound of sirens appeared, before his eyes suddenly widened with worry as he saw an orange light with it. “DAD!” With that, he and Milo both took off running in the direction of the siren’s wailing. The dog barked while following the boy.
Sensing that trouble was indeed nearby, the Defenders all turned towards themselves to exchange looks of concern, before they all nodded in confirmation that something was wrong, and then ran after Sam and Milo to see what was up.
Sam panted heavily, nearly almost out of breath, as he and Milo arrived at the latest crime scene, before they then looked and saw Maretropolis National Bank under heavy fire, but it wasn’t burning. It was also swarmed with about five to six police cars and two to three trucks, counting a lot of cops, including the SWAT team, which nearly wasn’t enough for backup due to the massive dangers that these kind of crime attacks can possibly bring.
“Oh no! An armed robbery!” Sam exclaimed in shocking panic.
“An armed robbery?” Fili-Second asked, startling both Sam and Milo.
“How’d you get here so-” Before Sam could finish his question, another explosion pierced through the air as they turned their attention back to the scene, to see a huge armored Mack truck, paving through the police cars, as a group of dog mask and helmet wearing biker crooks appeared, hauling in their latest steals from the vault.
“The Rockhounds!” Sam scowled with confidence. “No wonder why this happened!”
“The Rockhounds?” The Masked Matter-Horn asked, while observing the biker criminals. “Those are your world’s villains?”
“Yeah,” Sam replied. “These guys are bad news, but there’s more criminals than just these guys in this city. I’ll explain later.”
“I see. Then I take it those humans right over there are also your local law enforcers?” Masked Matter-Horn asked, pointing at the uniformed officers in blue, who were hiding behind their black, white and blue colored cars, and black trucks to avoid the gunshots.
“Yeah. The Maretropolis Police Department,” Sam replied. “But right now, they’re a little understaffed and probably have no more backup. Oh, and that guy there? That’s their lieutenant, and… *sighs* and my dad.”
“That’s your father?!” Zapp asked, pointing at a tall man holding a megaphone in his hand.
“Yep,” Sam said.
In appearance, Sam’s dad appeared to be in his early 30’s, dressed in a police officer’s uniform colored light blue, along with a navy blue bulletproof vest with his badge and radio mike underneath a brown jacket. He also had darker gray hair with darker green streaks and blue eyes.
“STOP!” Sam’s father shouted through his megaphone. “We have you surrounded! By order of the MPD, you are to surrender-AH!” The man immediately ducked his head down, just as a missile from a bazooka was shot over his head and blew up a nearby vehicle.
“DAD!” Sam shouted, watching as the Rockhounds finished hauling their loots into their truck and quickly burned rubber, while some rode on their Harley Davidson motorcycles with different paint jobs.
Seeing how very serious the situation was, the Defenders definitely knew that they had to act now.
“Defenders! GO!” With that, the girls all leapt into action, with both Zapp and Fili-Second following up ahead while the rest followed behind. Sam stayed behind with his dog so he and Milo could see what else was going to happen.
In a streaking electrical blur of flashing pink lights, Fili-Second intercepted the truck, as she knocked on the door and made a funny face, startling the driver. Suddenly, Zapp stomped her foot on the ground and was then surfing on a bolt of lightning, before she struck the tires with a lightning bolt shaped spear, causing the truck to turn to its side and fall over by rolling and tumbling to its side.
Thankfully, the Masked Matter-Horn, who was ice skating with ice that was coming from her feet, was able to shoot several beams of ice from her horn by using her hands to concentrate, creating a huge wall of ice to prevent the truck from destroying the surrounding areas and harming the civilians.
Suddenly, more of the goons appeared from their bikes and then took out and consumed something from what appeared to be inhaler face masks, and after consuming the substance from the tube, they became something not human. They now had chalky white skin, red beady eyes, and yellow razor sharp teeth.
The Defenders started taking on the mutated goons, but as Zapp delivered a punch, there was no damage, like his skin was super tough like sharkskin. The chemically enhanced goons then used a few melee objects to take the girls out, but as the effects wore off, the Defenders got the upper hand.
The Rockhounds in the damaged truck then wearily exited the vehicle and then decided to join the fight, but suddenly, most of them found themselves ensnared by a golden lasso and was pulled off his feet, dangling in the air, courtesy of Mistress Marvelous.
The remaining Rockhounds quickly pulled out their guns, and began shooting, opening fire on the Defenders, before Radiance conjured a crystal shield made from her bracelets, protecting the other defenders, the police officers, and the civilians. Fili-Second quickly dodged the bullets and took their guns with her super speed, and then she, Zapp and Mistress Marvelous apprehended the remaining thugs, while others started falling back, and the main three Rockhounds suddenly got away, but without the money.
After the goons were taken care of, Mistress Marvelous, Masked Matter-Horn, and Radiance cuffed their hands tightly with their abilities. “There, that oughta hold ya varmints,” Mistress Marvelous said.
“Good job, Defenders,” Masked Matter-Horn said.
Just then, the sirens of the police wailed, alerting the Defenders into taking their leave, just as the police and Sam’s father arrived.
“Is everyone alright?” Lieutenant Heathspike asked.
“Yes, sir,” a policeman confirmed. “All of our forces are just a little shaken up from earlier.”
“What do you think should we put down in our report?” another officer asked.
“Hmm,” the lieutenant pondered. “I don’t know what to make of it. Lightning? Weird sparkling lights? Magical ice? Energy beams? What is all of this?”
“The mayor would probably say we should lay off the donuts and coffee,” The policeman stated.
“Good suggestion,” Lieutenant Heathspike said in agreement. “Until we find out what’s really going on, keep a lid on it until we solve this, got it?”
“Yes, sir,” the officer replied.
“Good. Now, let’s call it a night,” Lieutenant Heathspike said.
Meanwhile, both Sam and the girls returned to the snowy mountains, at the ruins of the Defender’s ship, where they could talk.
“Wow, where did that come from?!” Sam asked in excitement and amazement from what he and Milo had just seen.
“What?” Masked Matter-Horn asked. “I’m talking about that! The action, all the fighting, the lights, all of that, back there! That was amazing! How did you girls do that?!” Sam asked.
“Well, we’re not called ‘defenders’ for nothing!” Fili-Second giggled.
“What Fili-Second means is, those are our special powers and skilled abilities,” Masked Matter-Horn explained with enlightenment. “As you’ve just seen, Zapp has the power to control electricity with her medallion.”
“Pretty cool, huh?” Zapp asked, as she created an aura of electricity and shot a bullet-shaped bolt at a small pile of debris and blew it up.
“This here lasso of mine, I can control it physically and mentally. For example,” Mistress Marvelous said, while throwing her rope at a boulder and throwing it up in the air before smashing it like a hammer.
“Cool,” Sam smiled.
“But it can also compel people to tell the truth, and these horseshoes are also boomerangs,” Mistress Marvelous said.
“I’m fast, like really, really fast!” Fili-Second said in an excited reply.
“You think that’s marvelous, darling?” Radiance began. “My accessories aren’t just for show. For you see, with these charm bracelets of mine, I can create energy constructs of any objects with my thoughts.”
“Huh, kinda like Green Lantern’s ring,” Sam nodded in understanding.
“Who?” Radiance asked in curiosity.
“Uhh… n-never mind,” turning to the Masked Matter-Horn, Sam asked, “Let me guess. You have the power to create ice beams?”
“Not just ice beams,” the leader explained. “I can also create and shoot all kinds of energy beams, either from a star or a comet, like heat that relates to your Sun’s solar energy for example.”
Sam nodded in understanding. Turning to the last of the defenders, Sam asked Saddle Rager, “So, what’s your power, Saddle Rager?”
“Ooh, it’s not so good,” the poor timid girl whimpered. “And I’d rather you don’t get to see it.”
“It’s okay, I’m open to know what it is,” Sam said.
Saddle Rager then nervously spoke, “The thing is… I… I… I turn into a monster when I get upset.”
“Huh? What’d you say?” Sam asked.
“I turn into a monster when I get upset,” the girl repeated, but a little louder, yet still softer.
“I still can’t hear you,” Sam said.
“She said she turns into a hulking monster when she gets angry,” Zapp answered on her friend’s behalf, as Saddle Rager felt comfortable with Zapp saying it.
“WHAT?! Are you serious?!” Sam asked, to which the shy heroine girl nodded in confirmation. “No way! You girls are really awesome!” Some of the girls blushed from his comments, until Sam then thought of an idea. “Hey, maybe you girls could be superheroes!” Sam commented.
“Superheroes?” Saddle Rager asked, unsure of what the boy meant.
“Yeah! You could fight crime together! You could help my dad and the police force!” Sam continued enthusiastically and excitedly. “You can help rid this city of all crimes that’s been happening so far, including the crime syndicates and gangs all around! You could-”
“Hey! Hey! As much as I’d like to keep these conversations going, or chat, or whatever it is you earthlings do socially, but if it’s really not too much to ask, where should we stay for the night?” Zapp asked.
“Oh, right,” Sam nervously chuckled, and blushing sheepishly, before he turned and noticed that his dog was now missing. “Hey… Where’s Milo?”
While Sam was busy talking with the defenders about what happened earlier, Milo led himself into the ship, curiously sniffing and inspecting the downed spacecraft and its interior.
As Milo was sniffing around the hallways of the girls’ ship, he suddenly found a laboratory right next to a small medical bay. He went to inspect it, but when he started sniffing at it, he saw a rabbit and started chasing after it until he accidentally placed one of his paws on the button of a large laser ray device while running after the rabbit. The device turned on immediately and aimed right at the Jack Russell Terrier. Before Milo had any chance to catch the rabbit until it got away so quickly, the laser ray fired a laser beam at him.
Sam and the girls unexpectedly heard a howl of pain, before they ran into the ship and turn to see Milo getting zapped by the laser. Sam’s eyes widened in horror. “MILO!” he screamed as he rushed to aid his canine companion in peril. As soon as he got there, Masked Matter-Horn and Saddle Rager turned off the device as fast as they could, but until the laser ray died down, Milo collapsed on the ground whimpering and whining like he was in pain. Sam picked him up and held him closely while Saddle Rager put a warm blanket onto the dog, “Oh, god! Milo, are you okay?”
“Ugh… Yeah, I… I think so,” said a male voice.
“Good,” Sam replied, but suddenly they didn’t know where it came from. “Wait a minute…” He then put the dog down, who was still wrapped in the blanket. “Uhh, did you guys hear something?”
“No. Did you?” the voice said, until Sam’s eyes widened at this as the voice came from his own dog. “Milo?!” Sam exclaimed, as he was just getting over his puzzled and confused, but concerned feelings at what became of his dog. “Did… Did you just talk?!”
“What? Huh? Hmm?” Milo responded, before he went into shock and confusion, but suddenly knew what was really happening. “Whoa! Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait! Y-You can understand me?!”
The girls and Sam were now confused.
“Milo, how are you talking me since you’re only a dog?!” Sam asked.
“Well, I can’t understand why I’m talking to you, Sam! Maybe it’s because I’m freaking out here!” Milo replied.
Sam then turned to the defenders. “What just happened?”
Walking over to the control panel, Masked Matter-Horn typed in several aliens texts for some answers, before the screen started to display the analysis in a few charts and showed some strong readings of the ray that shot Milo earlier, by showing a few x-rays of his entire anatomy with all the features of his body, including the skeleton, some of the muscles, and nerves and veins, as she used a scanner before it showed some thermo colored effects, “Ah-ha! According to this, it appears Milo’s been hit with this new form of technology I’ve been recently developing,” Masked Matter-Horn explained. “I’ve never had any experience to test it on anything, but I didn’t really take into account of the side effects it would have given if someone or something was tested by this.”
“But how did it affect Milo? What’s wrong with him?” Sam asked.
Masked Matter-Horn then continued, “Though, from the looks of it, Milo’s been given the ability to speak your language, and to think like both a human and a dog, but with a human brain within his canine brain!”
“Whoa, really?!” Sam asked, before he looked back at his dog who shared the information.
“Fascinating,” Milo barked.
“So, what now?” the boy asked.
“Well, if you want, I suppose I could possibly try to reverse engineer the side effects given on Milo and probably return him to normal,” Masked Matter-Horn offered.
“If it’s okay, I’d kinda like to get to know this ability,” Milo spoke up.
“Are you sure?” Saddle Rager asked, as Milo nodded, “Now whenever Sam wants someone to talk to, I can be there for him, like another actual best friend!”
“Yeah, but I doubt anyone would react so well about you being a talking dog,” Sam said as he whispers into Milo’s ear. “You want to risk going to a government lab and being gruesomely dissected just to figure out how you can talk and think like a human?” With that, Milo whimpered in fright.
“Yeah, I guess you’re right,” Milo said.
“Maybe try to act like a normal dog while in public and then you both can talk to each other when you’re not in public,” Saddle Rager suggested, before Sam and Milo nodded in agreement.
Turning his attention back to the girls, Sam watched to see Masked Matter-Horn typing in several more alien text commands until strange warping sounds were heard, “Good! Camouflage systems are still functional. Which means we can cloak the entire ship with the camouflaging shield before any more unwanted visitors see themselves inside,” Masked Matter-Horn said, while gesturing towards Milo, who growled at her in response. “Unfortunately, bad news is that the ship’s under some heavy damage. Most of its motor functions are not responding, and we’re low on crystallic fusion and fossil fuels, meaning we can’t fly and leave the planet. The ship is definitely no good for a sleeping quarter, not with the state it’s in,” Masked Matterhorn frowned with her hands on her hips.
“So what do we do now?” Saddle Rager asked. “We can’t just camp out here in the mountains because of all the snow, or in the woods or the public park, in the cold and dark, now can we?”
“Plus, there might be some dangers in the woods,” Radiance said. “And I’d rather not get too cold from all this ice and snow.”
As the girls began to talk amongst themselves for ideas on where to seek shelter, Milo thought for a moment with that newly improved dog brain of his, and then perked up with an idea, “Psst, Sam!” He tugged at his owner’s shirt, getting his attention.
“What is it, Milo?” Sam asked, lowering his ear close to what his dog had to say, before he and Milo made an agreement.
Elsewhere…
After the employees and other workers packed up for the night since it was closing time, Mrs. Swanson took one more look at her employer, before seeing something that would haunt her forever.
While leaning on the rails, she felt stressed that she was going to lose the chance to give Fleur Delacour her fashion show without the shampoo, and she knew she needed it that badly. “Oh, what am I going to do?!” She accidentally leaned to close on the rails as they unexpectedly broke down, and then she fell over screaming, but hung onto an electric cord for dear life.
“Mrs. Tresemmé!” Swanson shouted towards the screaming woman, who quickly and immediately held onto an electrical cord beneath the platform while trying to stay alive.
“SOMEONE HELP ME!!” Estrella screamed desperately, as her shoes fell off her feet and into the vat.
“Mrs. Tresemmé! Hold on, I’m coming!” Mrs. Swanson shouted, as she rushed up a set of stairs to her employer’s rescue.
Mrs. Swanson leaned over, as she grabbed Estrella’s hand to pull her up, but after trying to get her back on the railing successfully, it was suddenly too late. Before the vat could close, the electric cord broke, creating a spark of electricity that suddenly blinded Estrella, causing her to loose her second grip from her assistant manager as her wrist slipped from her hand, until she fell into the vat below, with the torn wire electrocuting her.
“ESTRELLA!” Swanson shouted, looking down into the vat in sorrowful grievance for the seemingly demise of her boss. “No…”
Suddenly, a hand with black clawed fingernails bursted out from the liquid, until green hairy tentacles popped out and slithered into the air and grabbed each side of the vat. Before long, out of the vat emerged Estrella Tresemmé, as a new woman, but she was now twisted and warped with the volts of electricity that crackled around her from the wire. Her skin was now tanned deeply, and her blue eyes have burned wildly of brilliant green with blazing red pupils, her clothes were torn and exposing her bare belly and cleavage, including her thighs from underneath her torn skirt and pantyhose, and her hair was also dyed brilliant and moderate green from the shampoo chemicals. Turns out, the tentacles were or was Estrella’s hair, that had grown at an huge frightening rate, with a length much longer than the entire woman’s body.
“Hello, my dear Mrs. Swanson. Miss me?” Estrella snarled seductively. “What was it you said, ‘back to formula’?” she chuckled, which quickly turned into a maniacal laughter with every second, echoing throughout the facility, much to the horror of Mrs. Swanson.

Oh, boy. It’s the rise of the Mane-iac! And what will become of Sam’s dog, Milo?! Find out next time!
This is also what I chose for the girls’ suits

And I made Fiona’s clothes look like Poison Ivy’s torn clothes when she first appears in Batman and Robin after her sudden death and transformation.
I also made Milo sound like Jason Lee when he voiced Underdog in 2007.
And I made Mane-iac’s laugh sound like this:
The Power Princesses: Defenders of Harmony
Getting Settled In With My New Roommates
Later on, Sam and Milo were leading the girls to their house for the night.
“I have to say, it’s really so awfully generous of you two to let us sleep in your humble home!” Masked Matter-Horn smiled lovingly as she and her friends followed the boy and his dog to their house.
“Well, if any friends of Sam and I are also family to Sam and I, so it’s okay with us,” Milo said in a welcoming tone.
“Though, it would also be nice if you girls could do me a favor and keep it down,” Sam said cautiously. “I’m not really so sure how Mom and Dad would react meeting you girls like this, and I don’t think they’re really too big on me having six girls over at my house.” The boy then shook his head in frustration. “It’s always the same with my Dad. You see, whenever I decide to bring up girls as a topic to talk about, he’s always starting with these annoying talks about sex, puberty, fetishes, and everything. It just won’t stop, like it’s getting on my nerves!”
The girls were suddenly grossed out, and then understood what he meant.
“And what about I? Chopped liver?” Milo barked.
“You’re different, Milo! You’re family too. Just… a lot quieter as usual,” Sam said.
“Yeah, I guess that figures,” Milo said. “Hey, don’t take it personal. Just act like you’re old self and we’ll be cool,” Sam said, as Milo nodded in agreement. “Besides, if Mom and Dad found out you’re now a talking dog, they’re gonna freak out.”
“Yeesh… Guess I should be careful whenever I use this time to talk,” Milo said. “You said it,” Sam said. “But don’t worry. I’ll handle it.”
At last, the friends finally arrived at the house, to see some of the lights that were somehow turned on.
“Okay, Milo,” Sam whispered. “You go through the dog door first, and let the girls through the back door. I’ll take the front door, but just in case Mom’s home or not.”
“Okay,” Milo nodded in confirmation, as he took the girls around back towards the backyard, while Sam was left at the front door, composing himself, and finally ready to act like nothing else unusual has happened to him while he was out with Milo in the middle of the night, before he turned the knob and entered the house.
“Mom?! Meg?! I’m home!” Sam called out, but there was no reply. “Mom? Meg?” The boy searched around the house for a little bit to find that his folks have left the place all to himself, Milo and their new friends.
Speaking of whom, it wasn’t long before Milo quietly came in and looked around through the dog door, then spoke to something he looked from behind, “Okay. We’re clear.” He and the Harmonian Defenders came into the living room to rendezvous with Sam. “It looks like Mom and Dad are gone for the night,” Milo spoke, as he sat down.
“Yeah, looks that way. And it looks like Megan put Molly to sleep, and is already asleep. As well as Danny,” Sam nodded before turning back to the Defenders of Harmony. “Well, it’s not much, but it’s home. Mi casa es su casa, meaning what’s mine is yours.”
“¡Muchas gracias Sam por tu generosa hospitalidad!” Masked Matter-Horn elegantly spoke in a fluent Spanish.
“Wow!” Milo exclaimed.
“Yeah! That’s pretty cool!” the boy exclaimed, before he frowned, “I should probably learn how to speak Spanish… wait, how did you even learn to speak it?”
With a blushing giggle, Masked Matter-Horn then explained in English, “We’ve learned your planet’s languages throughout the worldwide web.” Sam nodded in agreement, as she continued, “As you can see, I actually said thank you so very much for your generous hospitality, Sam. For that, we are forever in your debt.” She then kissed him on the cheek, causing Sam to blush and giggle sheepishly.
Milo suddenly made a saddened whimpering noise like he was forgotten about helping out too.
“Oh, and of course, you too, Milo! You little sweetie!” Saddle Rager giggled, kneeling down and stroking the Jack Russell Terrier lovingly. “Oh, yeah…” Milo said, as he enjoyed Saddle Rager’s stroking fingers.
“Hmm,” Radiance marveled in amazement as she and her friends decided to have a look around of the house’s interior. “My, my, you have such a lovely place here, Samuel darling,” the fashionable girl mused.
“No kidding,” Zapp said in agreement. “Hate to say it, but I could actually move in here, you know. This ain’t so bad.”
Sam blushed at the comment, before he chuckled, “Really? Heh, you don’t say.”
Suddenly, Milo’s ears perked up alarmingly. The dog ran over and climbed up onto the windowsill covered in magazine and newspapers, and then looked out the window to see a greenish gray minivan pulling in that absolutely confirmed who it was. “Uh oh!” He then barked to get Sam’s attention before he walked over to see his parents in the parking lot near the garage.
“Oh, shit! Mom and Dad are back!” Sam exclaimed frantically. “Girls! You have to… What the…?” When Sam turned to look at the defenders, he was surprised to see that they were gone, as if they’ve somehow magically disappeared out of thin air. “That’s weird.”
Just then, the front door opened up and Sam’s father stepped in. “Sam! Where’ve you-” Before the police lieutenant could finish speaking, Sam suddenly came over and tackled his old man in a huge tight death gripping hug after what happened recently. “Whoa, whoa, whoa, hey, hey. Take it easy, sport.” After dropping his stern and dominant manner of concern, and losing himself from the police lieutenant inside of him to the father inside of him, he gently embraced his frightened son to calm him down.
“I’ve heard about what happened recently this evening. I was so worried about you, Dad,” Sam said. “Shhhhhh… it’s okay, son. I’m here now,” Sam’s father said.
“I’m just glad you’re okay,” Sam said, muffled underneath his father’s clothes. “I know, Sam. I know,” Kent said.
Just then, his mother came up from behind with a tearful smile of relief, “Sam! Oh, thank goodness you’re alright!” she said, pulling her son in a loving embrace, burying his face in her soft bust, and then felt Megan’s bust on his shoulder as she came downstairs and in a sports gray shirt and blue skinny tight sleep shorts, “Oh my god! Sam, are you okay?!” Megan asked.
Sam nodded in reply, until his mother spoke, “You had us worried! You weren’t home and it was almost past your curfew! What happened?!”
“Yeah, Mom, I know, and I’m sorry too, Meg,” Sam replied.
“It’s alright, son. We’re not mad,” Kent said.
“I was in the park with Milo, when… uhh…” the boy hesitated as he tried to come up with a good cover story for what really happened to him and his dog. “…when I accidentally lost him after throwing the ball too far for him to catch, so I went to look for him in the forest and then managed to find a way back when I found him stuck in a bush and had no injuries.”
Suddenly, his parents and sister bought it. “Well, we’re just glad you’re safe, sweetheart,” Wanda said, before she kissed her son’s forehead, and then they all released their hug. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go crash into my bedroom for a few more minutes, and probably do some quiet time before bed. Come on, Milo,” he said, walking up the stairs to his bedroom with Milo following.
“Good call, Sam,” Kent nodded to his son. “It’s still a school night, and you have full commitment tomorrow, so don’t forget.”
“Yeah. See you in the morning, Dad,” Sam said. “Goodnight, Mom. Goodnight, Meg.”
“Goodnight, sweetie,” Wanda replied to her son.
“Sleep tight, little guy,” Megan said, as she went back to bed, before going back to bed.
Walking fast, while keeping their composures the best they can to appear normal, Sam and Milo finally made it back to the boy’s room, walking in and closing the door behind them. “Phew… Boy, what a night,” Sam breathed a sigh of relief as he retired to his bed, kicking his shoes off, until he went to go change into his pajamas, which were a pajama set of the Avengers.
“Hey, Sam!” Sam jumped up, startled by the sudden greeting, turning around to face the girls feeling cozy in his bedroom.
“What’re you girls doing in here?!” Sam asked.
“You told us to hide, so we did,” Fili-Second answered.
“But… But… in my bedroom?!” Sam asked.
“What’s the big deal? You’ve got some neat stuff up here,” Zapp said, while she was playing one of the boy’s favorite video games. “Come on, come on! I’m so gonna wipe the entire dojo with your sorry ninja butt!!” the girl snarled, pressing the buttons rapidly to avoid at all the incoming attacks from the opponent in the game and fight back with the abilities the character she was playing as had, except she wasn’t realizing all the pressure she was putting on the game and controller with her electric lightning powers, until it suddenly overloaded before the TV then blew up, leaving a cloud of smoke. “Whoa! Yeah! Take that, Metal Ninja!” Zapp cheered, much to Sam’s horror.
“AAH! My TV!” Sam shrieked.
“Sam?! What’s all that noise?!” Sam’s mother called out. “Are you alright up there?!”
“Y-Yeah! I’m fine, Mom! Sorry!” Sam called out, struggling to come up with another excuse to cover the girls. “Just watching a scary movie, and… Milo was just barking at the cat outside!” Milo growled at his owner.
“Alright, honey! Just keep it down!” Sam’s mother said.
“Okay, Mom!” Sam said.
Later…
“There. Good as new,” Masked Matter-Horn said, after she successfully fixed and restored the TV to its original state with the telekinetic part of her energy powers.
For a quick test drive for the recovery, Sam turned on his video game console to find all his achievements and scores from every game he’s recently played as they were still there before it exploded with the TV, “Phew, that’s a relief,” the boy sighed.
“Sorry again about your game, Sam,” Zapp apologized. “Sometimes, I just don’t know how to handle my own strength or my powers with other types of materials. Maybe I should learn to control them while living on this planet.”
“Yeah, well ‘with great power comes great responsibility,’ you know,” Sam quoted in remembrance. “Words to live by. You know, that kind of stuff.”
“Hey! Those are the words of Ben Parker!” Masked Matter-Horn smiled with exclamation, while sitting cross-legged.
“What?!” Sam and Milo looked up at the girl in extreme surprise. “Hold on! You’ve actually read Spider-Man?!”
“Yeah, she’s quite the fast reader,” Mistress Marvelous smirked and rolled her eyes. “That and we’ve also been readin’ most of your comic books while you were downstairs talkin’ with your folks.”
“Hopefully, if you didn’t mind. They were quite fascinating,” Radiance said.
“No, I don’t mind,” Sam said.
“Ooh! Ooh! I’m liking this Pete ‘Spidey’ Parker guy!” Fili-Second said, while hanging upside down on his bean bag chair and reading a comic issue of Spider-Man. “Uh-oh! Watch out! Here comes the Rhino!”
“He’s pretty good,” Zapp nodded. “But he’s no better than Thor, or even Aquaman or Shazam themselves.”
“Superman sounds pretty heroic,” Saddle Rager said. “But… this… Batman sounds kinda dark.”
“I kinda like this Wonder Woman,” Marvelous commented. “She’s my type of gal.”
“Captain America has some good leadership traits,” Masked Matter-Horn said while moving on to a Captain America comic book.
“Oh my! Wolverine sounds pretty savage! And I rather not mention how much that Deadpool person has suffered, because being shot or stabbed without dying is too much for me to handle,” Saddle Rager said. “Especially that angry Hulk monster.”
“Well, you don’t have to read it,” Zapp said. “Plus, the other X-Men, and the Fantastic Four are okay on my book, because the Human Torch guy is pretty awesome as me.”
“I’m also liking this Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman, but I’m not sure Doctor Doom would be my type of villain. He looks kinda menacing enough,” Masked Matter-Horn said.
“The Thing is probably fine with me, especially the clobbering time that he says,” Mistress Marvelous said.
“I’m simply intrigued by this Green Lantern character,” Radiance commented. “And I must say, these Avengers and Justice League characters sound like true knights of shining armor!”
“But not as cool as the Teen Titans though! Beast Boy’s kinda funny! He even turns into any animal, including lions and tigers and bears!” Fili-Second said.
Sam turned to Milo and whispered, “The students back in school will never believe me when I say that I’ve got six hot alien girls now living in my room, and enjoying Marvel and DC superheroes like I am.”
“Yeah, I hear ya. But make sure there better not be an angry mob after ya,” Milo replied.
“That I can agree on,” Sam said.
“Wow, these guys are so awesome!” Zapp said, as she smiled with huge excitement. “They’re all like us, or maybe, but possibly, we’re all like them!”
Sam nodded in agreement, before his brain was suddenly hit with a great epiphany, along with an idea. “Hey! Actually, that’s not a bad idea!” he said. “What is?” Radiance asked. “You girls are exactly like those heroes, and you fight like them! Maybe even better!” Sam explained.
“That’s really sweet of you,” Saddle Rager said.
Sam then thought of another idea, “Hey, maybe while you’re staying here on Earth, you could be real actual superheroes to the city, meaning people might love to see you in action!”
“Really?” The defenders asked in curiosity.
“Yeah!” Sam smiled in excitement. “Wow, why didn’t I think of this before?! You girls are now showing a sign for all of our prayers, meaning you can help my dad and the police force, and maybe even the people of this city! You can patrol the city, fight crime, clean up Maretropolis, bring hope and justice to those who have none, and save many innocent lives at risk, like if a store, museum or any bank is being robbed, or is someone’s house is on fire! It’ll be like a dream come true!”
The girls all exchanged quick looks with each other, before Masked Matter-Horn stepped forward with a look of concern on her face, “Sam, as much as we really admire your inspiring optimism and all, but we couldn't really... I mean, we'd love to help. Really, we do, but wouldn't it be like taking away all the work of your city's finest local law enforcement and going against all of their work ethics, including their jobs altogether?"
“Well, not with all of the so-called ‘cutbacks’ this city’s good for nothing excuse for a mayor had to make,” Sam muttered with disappointment. “And on top of that, this city is just been full of many criminal organizations that are setting up shops in many districts in the city, including warehouses, docks, construction sites, annexes, even pubs and alleys, and with the police department being completely understaffed right now, but I want to change all of that, since you’ve saved my Dad. Will you help me? Please?”
Masked Matter-Horn then thought about it. “He’s got a good point, ya know,” Mistress Marvelous began. “I mean, that’s why we’re defenders, ain’t it? To use our powers for the greater good of the people we serve.”
“Well, the people we used to serve,” Masked Matter-Horn sighed in sorrow.
“Even so, we should at least use our skills for the benefit of this world while we’re here, right?” Zapp asked. “It’s not like it’s a bad thing.”
“Indubitably!” Radiance followed in agreement. “Plus, I for one would like to get to know this world.”
“Oh yeah!” Fili-Second added. “And I wanna see what else they have!”
“Definitely!” Saddle Rager joined in. “Hopefully, if the earthlings don’t mind.”
“Ya said it, alright!” Mistress Marvelous said. “Maybe this here planet may not be so bad.”
“So what do you say, Matter-Horn?” Sam asked, until Milo gave her the puppy eyes again.
Matter-Horn then tapped her chin and crossed on of her arms as she thought about it, “Well, Queen Celestia would’ve wanted us to do it, since she assigned us here to protect your planet from evil, and since you’ve got villains of your world as well.” After thinking about what Queen Celestia told them to do, and with a shrug from her shoulders, the leader of the super heroine girls nodded, “Alright. We’ll do it.”
“YEAH!” the five other girls cheered, giving high fives to each other.
“Girls! Shhhhhh!!!” Sam said, as he then heard nothing.
Sam sighed in relief and then continued, “Listen, girls. If we’re planning on having you stay here, then you’ve got to be more quiet. We just can’t have a huge risk of having Mom and Dad, or any other unwanted attentions, like my parents or my sisters, especially Megan, discovering that you’re all in here living with me.”
“Of course, Sam,” Masked Matter-Horn complied in confirmation. “We’ll try our best.” The girls nodded in agreement so that they were clear, as Fili-Second crossed her heart. “Alright, we’re roommates, but only until we figure out where we can find separate homes for you, because I can’t keep this secret to my parents forever.”
“We understand, Sam. We know how much your family means to you, and we’ll do all we can to protect them,” Masked Matter-Horn said.
After wanting to get out of the awkward moment and back to the real subject, Sam started off, “So, now that we’ve somehow accepted and established my house being your temporary base of operations for a few nights until further notice, and maybe your ship, next is coming up with a name for the team.”
“But we’ve already got a name for our team,” Fili-Second started. “We’re the Defenders of Harmonius!”
“It’s nice, but it needs something more related or closer to Earth. Like the… the Justice Divas! No… the… Power Girls… the Power Princess!” Sam said, as it struck him with an idea, with a snap of his fingers. “Yeah! The Power Princesses! How does that sound?”
The girls all exchanged looks with one another, unsure of what to make sure of that name, and how they should respond to the young earthling’s suggestion, but suddenly they felt like it suited them better. “I think it might work,” Masked Matter-Horn said. “For now on, well shall be known as The Power Princesses: Defenders of Harmony!”
“Sam! Time for bed!” Sam’s dad called from the door. “Okay, Dad! Just give me a few minutes!” Sam said.
“Okay, kiddo! Night!” he said again.
After a nice chat, Sam and the girls went to sleep, but next to the wall near the windowsill and placed in a spare blanket and sleeping bags, with Milo sleeping with Saddle Rager. Without them noticing, Masked Matter-Horn got up and covered Sam under the blankets again so that he wouldn’t get more colder, and then went back to sleep.
This is definitely the start of an exciting adventurous story.
Somewhere, in a dark room with a dimly lit light, a tall, bulky man, that looked like a biker punk, with some reflective features that pierced the darkness, was drinking a mug full of beer, with Rover Mugshot, leader of the Rockhounds, sitting in front of him to deliver an unpleasant report.
“So… you didn’t get the money.” The figure grumbled with a fist on his desk.
“N-No, boss, w-we didn’t,” the frightened man cowered before the shadowy figure. “I...I uh...my men...we were attacked!” he stumbled on his words. “And we… uh...we somehow lost the money in the armored truck. But it wasn’t our fault! Really. We–”
“Ok, I think that’s enough coming from you.” The figure ordered casually, silencing the man. The figure then got up and sat in front of the desk, until he then gestured Rover to do the same. With a nervous gulp, he complied and sat right towards the figure in front of him, “Look, Rover…” The figure began, “Shit like this happens most of the time, right? I mean, we all screw up every now and then. It’s actually what makes us… human.”
“I-I suppose.” Rover said nervously.
“Don’t tell anyone about this but this one time, when I tried to make propositions from other mob dealers to work for me, but this mob dealer didn’t have the guts, upset his poor wife.”
“I guess she was pretty upset about it, huh boss?” Rover chuckled nervously.
“Oh, she was way beyond pissed, I can tell you that.” The figure began to chuckle, “But… I remember this one time, during that meeting, I experienced one of the biggest, cheesiest and offensive offers I’ve ever heard. You wanna know what happened?”
“What?” Rover asked.
“I’ll show you…” the figure said, until…
*glass crash*
“AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! D’OH!!!!” Rover yelled as he was thrown out the window and fell on the floor, feeling pain on his back.
The figure revealed that he was pummeled the person that offended him with his brute strength, “Let that be a reminder only if your next screw up ever happens. Are we clear?” The figure asked in dark tone.
Shaking in fear, Rover nodded his head.
“Good. Now, go recover,” the figure said, heading back inside his office to finish his drink.
