In all honestly I never expected any of you ponies and people to take such interest in my little sermon! I feel overjoyed and delighted from the bottom of my spine! Oh wait a minute that isn't quite right is it? Ah! The bottom of my heart that's it. Today I come to you with another sermon and another subject of immense philosophical stature . It's simple really, has anypony here heard of the socratic method or reasoning? No? I supposed not. In layman's terms it is solving answers through questions. For example; Why do you spend 7 to 8 hours sitting in a small cubicle answering to an overzealous boss who wants work that HE was supposed to do, on his desk by 7 AM sharp? No, no that's a horrible example! Ah here's a better example! In the true spirit of pony fanfiction I will be comparing a non-bronies hate to a brony's love. The non-brony will be the red color marked on your screen while the brony's will be the bolded text. Please observe. I like my Little Pony. Ugh! You sick perverted [expletive involving gay people] that's disgusting! Why? Because it's a little kid's show! And why is it disgusting that I like it? Because it's a kid's show! And I ask you again, why is that disgusting? To this, the non-brony will keep repeating his point on the surface, on the inside he's frantically trying to come up with a reason to counter the simple argument before him. The Socratic Method of questioning was conceived by a very famous philosopher by the name of Socrates in ancient greece, the very cradle of civilization's first thought's concerning things other than food, water, shelter, country, and honor. Moving back to our main little argument, the non-brony is struggling because of a variety of reasons one being his morality and code. To cut most of the bull and preservative and get down to it; it's because he's been told not to like it. Think about it for a moment, how often a time have you been caught watching a kid's show and your roommate or your mother or parental figure walks in and says what? Are you still watching that kid's show? Grow up already. Realizing this, you quickly feel ashamed and change the channel. That my good friends is a subtle display of social influence. People around you telling you to grow up and move on with your life. People telling you to get a good education, marry a good wife, and spend all your nights in a bar wondering why you feel so discontented. Now, an interesting fact is that human beings are quite independent beings and don't like being herded. 'Society' as you call it, is doing just that, herding you along the path of life. Telling you like a mother tells her young child, no not that one billy thats dangerous! Don't do that billy that stuff is for bad people! You know if you start a war saying that your doing it in the name of peace, you'll receive an entry in the history books and be thought of as a hero if you've won or a demon if you've lost. If you start a war for no reason you'll be thought of as a madman. Isn't that positively fascinating? Now, let's go back to the Socratic Method of reasoning for a moment. This time observing a homosexual versus a non-homosexual homophobic (I.E most of the people you would find in Call of Duty. What? God of Chaos has to do something in his spare time!) The homophobic will be in the red indicated on the screen below you. The homosexual will be colored red. Yes I am a homosexual and I'm proud. Homosexuality is disgusting, frankly I cannot see why two grown men would love each other in that way. Why not? Because it's two grown men! It's against nature! Why is it against nature? Because it just is! You don't see me going around openly kissing men now do you? Yes, but why not? Like I said before it is disgusting and a sin against god's will! And why is it against god's will? Because it's disgusting!! And why is it disgusting? Now to spare you the agonizing bore of this sample conversation I will say this; in one way or another, you are in influenced by the various different factors. Some of these might include friends and family and they in turn are influenced by culture. If you don't believe me then ask anyone you know about a topic that has been bothering you regarding social media, government, etc. Simply ask them why over and over and see how they splutter as they search through their memory. The meaning of life: TensionView OnlineDiscordant PhilosophyThe meaning of life: TensionAh! Welcome back one and all! I recalled you all because I stumbled upon a revelation! I think I've figured out the ever elusive 'truth'! Now I ask you all again to buckle down and throw away your prejudice on this one. The truth is spiritual and physical. It exists and it doesn't exist. Sound strange? Oh course it does! What I'm trying to say is that the truth is opposition. Take for example yin and yang. They are the two symbols for good and evil. Now think about it for a second. These two forces battle constantly, and what is in between battles? That uneasy fragile alliance between the two. That feeling that makes you constantly look over your back. That's right ponies and people. The truth of life is tension. Without it life is boring, with it life moves faster. Now the tension will be discussing is the tension of movement. Oh bother I'm getting ahead of myself. There is two types of tension; the one you are familiar with the uneasy feeling that something's about to go down. Then there is much more subtle one, the one that has been driving evolution for billions upon billions of years. Some may call it ambition. I call it that feeling you get when your sitting by yourself thinking " what am I doing with my life?" Ever since you were little you've always felt it, that sort of buzzing uneasy sensation urging you on. This is what caused human beings to emerge from their relative caves to discover all the things that make civilization. This is what makes us strive to become better, faster, stronger. It is that which causes us to move forward 'the driving force' as some may put it. It is that dis-ease in your heart that cries out for more. More more more more more it cries and cries. And you want to know why it calls? Because it can, plain and simple. Now keep in mind what i'm doing here is basically grouping evolution and other aspects of history together so it's fine if you disagree with this. Now, this tension only evaporates when you've lost all control of your life and body. See, sentient beings were graced with the curse of self-awareness and action control. Animals however simply follow their instincts. They grow up, hunt and kill and eat, find a mate and have sex, give birth and repeat. Sentient beings however have something called 'self-awareness'. Basically this is what we want it to be. We can literally do anything we want free of instinctive control. This means we can eat whenever we want and not if we're hungry. This means that we can go through life without finding a mate, hell we can go through life without having sex! That doesn't mean I urge you to become abstinent i'm just using it as an example. We're always thinking of ways to make our lives better. "Oh! If I get together with her I can life happily!" You subconsciously think while looking at a girl in a bar. Your actual consciou thinks "oh hey! She looks nice I guess I should talk to her." In essence we are happiness junkies always looking to get that high through our own actions. I'll tell you something though. Us sentient beings are happiest when we have absolutely no control of our lives and we don't know it. This doesn't mean become a drug addict and stuff. Okay here's an example. To those of you who've been on a roller coaster. You find yourself scared as it begins to churn, however you find yourself enjoying it later as you raise your hands. You find yourself smiling uncontrollably as it twists and turns in death defying manuevers and you think "HOLY SHIT!" This is the only thought that fills your mind. Nothing about home, life, or family matters as you speed through the track. Afterwards you find yourself filled with a pleasant buzzing sensation as well as nausea. Anyway what I'm trying to say is that you feel your best when you can't possibly do anything else. Like taking a test, your worried about it until you turn it in which gives you a small burst of satisfaction as you think to yourself "well nothing I can do!" Think about it for a second. Your constantly doing things because feel tension but your happiest when you can't do anything at all. Don't you find this a bit ironic? Because I certainly do. Your constantly doing things in search of happiness but the only way to truly feel it is if you give up! Now that ladies and gentlemen is grade A comedy. Author's note: I am so sorry if this chapter seems half-assed to you, I've been having a bloody bad case of writer's block on this. Anyways back to the show! I've recently come across a rather funny argument! What are questions without answers? Like for example why is god god? Who made him god? Why is he a he and not a she? Isn't that a little sexist? Whatever. What I'm trying to say here is that there are some questions that are rather fun to ask! Take for example, why does gravity exist in the first place? None of your petty arguments about 'planetary pull' just why does planetary pull even exist? Why do we exist? Why is it that every time I just I don't just float away? Who invented the laws of physics? And no i'm not talking about who came up with the notion of them existing in the first place I literally mean who came up with 'what comes up must come down'? Now if your still confused i'll dumb it down for ya via popular meme; [Ahem] "QUESTION ALL THE THINGS!" Yes I literally mean it like that, why? Why is why why? Why is it that we decided to make a language instead of just grunting at each other like we did before? Why was religion invented? Was it a way to bring people together? Was it a way to explain what the hell was going on with all the rain and wind and shit?!? Okay you basically get where this is going. Now I expect you to be sitting there, reading this and coming up to answers with this. Ask yourself, why am I Pony or human? Why? Why? Why? I can guarantee that you'll find yourself slipping into madness because of this because of a simple reason; Beings of logic often follow a certain law code. That, not your self awareness is what makes you 'intelligent', the fact that people or ponies refrain themselves from certain actions.....like running through the streets naked. You forbid yourself from questioning yourself subconsciously because your afraid, afraid of the unknown. You probably already knew this but the universe was originally one singularity, a thing that basically said 'oy buck you wanker!' To the laws of physics or moral or anything we've ever known about the galaxies or anything. Here's my question, what was there before the singularity? Strange question, I know but seriously? What if time was a being? Not a thing but a being? What if everything we've ever know or assumed was wrong? What if the waking world was just a lie and that the strange, crazy dream world was the truth? Okay now i'm just going all crazy here. But seriously think about it. What if the method we use to find answers is the very answer itself? What if. What if that was the truth? What if? What if that is what fate is? Just a giant, blank what if? What if we never existed and this is just a giant memory floating in space? What if we are just, one big hive mind that has separated itself? What if we are god? I know the saying that god is in each and every one of us but what if one of us has the potential to become god? Wow! I just discovered something! This is me using imagination! This is the first step to becoming insane! It's like some massive astronomical loop! Like the dragon constantly trying to eat it's own tail! Excuse me guys and gals I have some mediation to do. The universe; a mind a place a thing yet pure spaceView OnlineDiscordant PhilosophyThe universe; a mind a place a thing yet pure space(A/N: Sorry about last chapter, I wasn't having the best of days) Okay so i'll start this out a little differently. Have you ever looked at the stars atop a mountain? Have you ever felt that sheer breathlessness due to lack of oxygen and realization? Atop that mountain in the dark of the night with only the sound of crickets and the occasional breath of the wind as it gently ruffles the trees. It hits you like a ton of bricks. So much light from so far away! Yet so much empty space. The night sky is the perfect example of the universe; So much yet still so little. An equal balance of mass yet of absolute nothingness. The universe is utterly sodding massive. And I don't mean massive in the sense of proportion or mass. I'm talking in all aspects. In art in thought, in science, in mathematics, in logic, even in philosophy. In art to comprehend the universe is to throw yourself down a well with your hands and feet tied and your eyes and mouth gagged. To truly see the universe in all it's utterly glory we must not speak, We must not see We must not feel We must not be. I'm getting all poetic, gah! What I mean to say is slip into the space of non-existance that the universe is on. For it is a thing yet that very description of it is just what it is. A thing yet a place yet a thought, yet a space. To even begin to begin to comprehend it, one must let go of oneself. Cast away every, single thing you know of past, future, and present because we're going into outer space. Keep a little bit of your mathematic and scientific wit though, it'll come in handy. Oh! And don't forget to pack the banana and pudding sandwiches as well! To truly understand it one must be in a constant state of movement, not of body but of mind. To think of thoughts upon thoughts like towers made upon the shifting sands constantly collapsing and rebuilding anew. And maybe, just maybe we can glimpse the true world around us. Okay, I'm gonna be honest with you. I wasn't always the element of Discord and Madness. Once upon a time I was a normal Draconoquis living out his days, eating and sleeping and occasionally pillaging and mating. That was until I woke up one night and looked up to the stars from my cave. Up until that point in my life I would often go stargazing and just sit for hours and hours on end looking up. That night was different though, that night there was nothing. the stars had been blacked out by some asinine weather ponies scheduling a midnight shower. As I looked up into the night sky, it returned it's hollow black and void like gaze. And I was afraid as I looked upon it. For weeks on end after that I argued with myself about trivial things. I would say that I was a dragon! Born proud and free, that there was nothing in the world that could harm me. Then I would always remember that gaping darkness and would always be reminded. So one day I decided to meditate. I sat underneath a tree for several days and several nights, almost dying of hunger and thirst. On the very edge of death, I looked up again at the stars. And that time, they whispered back. A thousand- no a million- no billions of voices shouted and screamed and whispered and cried out over each other. I could feel my sanity slipping away as the invisible voices shouted in my head. And I felt it for the first time, a sense of awe and humility as I thought for the very first time. There is something bigger than I am. Now did you see how I got al poeticy and sentimental? The very aspect of the universe exists in everything, EVERY SINGLE THING....except maybe eating and mundane activities. To even begin to see it's various folds and truths, one must cast away one's knowledge of anything prior. Believe in absolutely nothing. Most people will think this insane to cast away everything. But one you're rid of all those doubts about taxes and children and food and you just stop and empty yourself out, grant your mind a bit of respite. You'll feel that gaping darkness in your mind that exists. That, is the universe. Yet it isn't. The universe is every half-baked thought running through your head at any given moment. It is the new life given in a hospital bed. It is the stars, it is the sky. It is science, it is art, it is god it is life and death. It exists on every dimension and altered thing in the timeline. Yet it does not change and if it does it does very, very slowly. It is the never changing bedrock of existence that softly whispers into your ear as you slip into the world of reals and true intelligence. It is yet it isn't That my friends is the universe to me. To everybody it is different, this is just my take on it. Hope you've gleamed some sort of information from this rambling lesson, anyways i'm off to sail the seven cows!

What is good and evil?View OnlineDiscordant PhilosophyWhat is good and evil?Good day to you all! Sorry I haven't been able to talk to you for some time now but I was thinking about something and I'm just going to jump right to it. What is good? Is good donating money to an orphanage? Is good saving money or giving the last slice of nutella bread to your cousin? Is good playing with your baby sister or keeping a baby instead of aborting it? I'm going to assume you get the picture of good here. Now I ask you; what is evil? Tell me, is murdering a group of people evil? Is killing and maiming and destroying evil? Yes? That's what you say. I'll tell you this. Good acts are those acts that affect others around you for the better. This is common knowledge no? Well then, what is evil? Let's look at an example shall we? A U.S marine comes back from a particularly bloody battle against militants. He has been pinned behind a house for 3 days straight with a bloodied and wounded teammate. Now this teammate is someone he's known for a long time. Now on the third day a passing Black Hawk picks up his urgent cries of help and suppresses the enemy. Now, suppose he is sitting on his bed in his barracks. Opposite of him is a picture of his teammate and brother. What do you think is going through his mind? Sadness? Despair? Yes. But also something different. Resentment to the world for taking away his shining light in a dark world. During those three days he spent pinned he prayed to god every waking hour like most would in his situation. He prayed for the salvation of himself and his brother/teammate. Now suppose his teammate was dying and he was scared? What would the marine do? Now switching a bit here, he's back home at his own house by himself. A year ago his wife left him because "he was never at home" and that "she needed a father for her kids." Now what would that marine feel? Anger to the world is what he would feel. Now suppose it reached a crisis point in which he has nothing to live for. He's out of work, he resents the army because they took away his only friend in the cold world. His wife is constantly calling for alimony. What would the marine feel? Anger, building rising anger. And then, and keep in mind this happens to all of us. That anger begins to change. It is like a freshly made sword, it becomes banged out with constant everyday life. And eventually it cools until it is a sharp, cold instrument of death. At this point in life he stops caring and can only feel the hate. So he purchases a gun, and opens fire on the nearest military base, of course he is killed in the gunfire. The next day the reports come flooding in from every perspective. How it was evil and cruel how he killed officers just days from retirement and then they ask the stupidest question: "What could have driven him to do this?" I'll tell you this; people do not do something as evil and cruel as this without some SERIOUS justifications. In our modern time we have figured this out and labeled the more absurd and disgusting of crimes as being committed by psychopaths. Sound somewhat familiar? No? Then here's another interesting fact; Insanity works the exact same way. It is when people are moulded either by personal hate or hate for society in general. They start to adopt another perspective about life. Ringing any bells? Well it should. Remember when I said that deep down each sentient being is insane? Well that is true sir. All that stands in the way is morality, a sense of right and wrong. With the change in perspective, the view of morality gets warped from the "straight" version of it. The straight version being: Donations equal good, stealing a purse equals bad. And this makes it so much harder for law enforcement because these people who commit acts of crime do so for their own cause be it money for food to Kleptomania due to a bad childhood. And it all starts there. Childhood, where you are your most innocent and vulnerable. That isn't saying your view couldn't get warped during your whole life but that is when you are most likely to develop your more psychopathic and sociological problems. Now because of this resurgence, the view of 'Good' and 'Bad' gets morphed. Nobody does anything they'll regret without a reason. And that is where insanity comes in. At first it is a change in perspective, then if you let it consume your soul, it is a complete change in view of the world. Another example of a complete raving lunatic would be a man who abducts and murders little girls. When the officers find the girl's bodies though, they find them encased within white dresses attached to angel's wings. When they finally catch the man, he says he's setting them free. And in a way, this is 'Good' because he's saving their innocence from the cold 'real world' which we have created for ourselves. Every disgusting, despicable thing has a silver lining. Except for rape, that's just sick or is it? Okay outta line I apologize for that. Now then, we come to my favorite topic; Discord. Now my parishioners. What have I told you? That insanity and Discord and madness are the other half of the natural order of things. For example they bring creativity and sometimes sick joy to the person. Sanity and Order bring joy and happiness to the conglomerate, the people not the individual. See what i'm getting at here? And to think, there are people willing to get rid of all insanity. There is always some form of insanity because the spontaneity of it is what grants release in our daily, monotonous lives. Face it, we live in a world of gray and the only realize is to let go of everything. Weird isn't it? That order brings happiness to the group but disorder brings joy to the person? If you look at it from the perspective of good and bad, then both forces are good! They are good in their own specific ways! To become insane is to craft that sword of passion be it sadness or despair or depression or angst or resentment. Slowly you bang out the reasons it isn't right. "I shouldn't be feeling this way." "[Bang!] Why?" "Because it's wrong!" "[Bang!] Why is it wrong? What is the right way of looking at things? " People are always looking for a sole solution something that is rock solid, a bedrock of sorts. The problem is there is no 'right' way to do it. So they fall through, come up with a delusion. It's as simple as that. There is no right way of looking at things, moral can be twisted but in the end it is always 'good' because the definition of bad which is evil without a reason simply doesn't exist. So live your life the way you want it be it living out your days or going out in a fiery boom! Remember, no matter what they say there is never a 'right' way to live.
Happily insaneView OnlineDiscordant PhilosophyHappily insaneOkay. Now i'll be switching into author's first person here. Hey guys. To those, and you know who you are. Thank you. For you are correct. It is often the simplest things that hold the greatest value. Every single one of my watchers. Thank you, I remember each and every one of you as you popped up on my page. You have all made me smile in some way shape or form. Be it my heart, my mouth, my spirit, or my mind. Now, I'll just get to the point of it. I.....to those of you who know me and have read my post. I've been going through a depession of sorts. Now I just want to be clear for a moment here. I'm not going around the site going I'M FUCKING DEPRESSED! NOW HELP ME! No, when I saw the feedback I got from my blog a cog started turning in my head. Well, I was talking with a person and I mentioned something about innocence. And it's been bugging me fora while now. Here's the reason. The reason I got into a depression in the first place was because I saw the world as what it really was from the global perspective. A degenerating mess of politics and greed. All things are done on a budget, be it sex or life. And I became sad becuase the little world I had built for myself where everything was going to get better shattered. Everything wasn't going to get better because all those powerful enough to help weren't helping. And those who cried out at this injustice were silenced. It's still happening! Syria is a violent mess! I've had good friends die there! And it saddens me greatly. That's why I became depressed. Moving on. let's focus on something for a moment; Innocence. It's the like a hymen. Once it's broken you can't get it back. Innocence takes many different shapes and forms. For me, it was smiling and laughter. People used to smile at me. But even when I was toddling around I saw something in their eyes. And I remember, my father once said to me. Don't let them take it away kiddo. Treasure it. Well, now I know what he was talking about. And....for the longest time, it was taken from me. I never smiled, I never laughed. I always grimaced because whenever something good happened like a pop star donating thousands to kids with leukemia. All I could see was the fake twinkle in their eyes as they smiled into the camera, their spray tans making them shine. Now, you are probably asking yourself; How does this have anything to do with insanity? Well i'm getting to that. I was also a brony hater too. I found the pony LOLs on memebase funny but I always rinkled my nose at them saying that's shows for kids. I mean, I have two friends who are serious metal heads. We were on a camping trip once and he literally fought a fucking cougar. A GODDAM COUGER. He suffered from extreme lacerations and all we had was Novocain! NOVA-FUCKING-CAIN! That is probably one of the weakest pain meds ever! And he eventually developed Gangrene on his left leg! We were just in time to get him into a hospital to save that leg but still! Now imagine that badass sitting around with two other people talking about how "pinkie is best pony". I was disgusted. After all, that show was for little kids...right? Then, one day a little voice spoke up in the back of my head. It was a voice I hadn't heard in a long time. I used to call him Mr. Franky. One day, while sitting around and talking to them, the badass mentions ponies. Being the asshat I was back then, I snorted and said. "That show's for little kids." He said something in response, but that day I heard Mr. Franky say to me. You were a kid too. And that got me thinking. It sent me into days of thought. And finally, I relented and watched the show. As the theme song played, I rolled my eyes. This show was going to be horrid and boring...right? As I kept watching, I started to laugh for two reasons: one was because of the hilarity of the jokes. But I was also laughing at myself. I kept telling myself. How the hell can you like a show for little kids? And Mr. Franky's words came back to me again. Days, and months passed. And we talked. He wanted me to reconnect with the kid inside me. I asked him how. And he said to me this. Well...why not? Remember all those times we had fun? A cardboard box was a tank. A flashlight was a sword. Paper was our Canvass as we painted our Mona Lisa. Starting to sound familiar? I started to play make believe in my head. The countless hours of school time let me explore the innards of my mind. And I felt happy. And here, ladies and gentlemen is where the internet comes into play. I found the disturbing stuff hilarious because I looked at it from the creator's angle. He wanted to scare and scar the living shit outta you. And he succeeded. I used to imagine a fat bald man sitting behind his desk as he laughed at our outraged comments. Keep in mind, I already surfed the web, but I started to look at it as a playground where I could instigate shock and disgust as well as laughter. And I wrote "Pinkie has officially jacked this story." I wasn't really thinking when I wrote this. But I linked it to my email and went to sleep. The next day I woke up, and opened my email to a shitstorm of DAFOUQ?!? And I laughed my ass off. Soon I poured myself into it and I began turning out chapter after chapter much to the amusement, disgust, and confusion of FIMFfiction. Soon enough I gained me a small following. And by this time, I was having fun with my life. I would walk down the street imagining things as I walked. I looked at a streetlamp and instantly imagined it a giraffe. You know how our imagination is random, and somewhat strange? I completely gave into it as I wrote. And I made people laugh. And I felt happy. Now one day after I finished the series, I was deleting some of my stories because I was bored. And I accidentally deleted it when I was trying to delete one of my other stories. And this sent me into another spiral of depression because I deleted something I held dear to my heart. But then I began wondering, why did I hold it so dear? And I looked back over my life and saw all the happiness it sewed, and I saw all the insane rampages of drugs and alcohol my characters went on. And I laughed and smiled and thought to myself. This site is filled with a bunch of insane jackasses! Wait a minute...does this make me insane? And so I looked deep within myself and found the answers that yes: I was insane. Completely and utterly. And I wrote this. I wrote how one becomes insane because one has choices. And as I wrote I, revelations poured in onto my growing mind. And now, sitting here smiling. And confined to the comment boards of LTD, though I do feel sorry for those who saw the madness that was there.) Uh huh....yeah....well tell them I don't need their lemons! I'm Cave Johnson! I'll get my engineers to invent combustible lemons! Oh? Oh! It appears you've caught me at a bad time. Freaking marketing and their insane ideas of what will "appeal" to kids! Anywho I know why you all are here. In part because i'm just that damn good! Ah, egotism, should keep it down a bit shouldn't I? Okay, I know you must me asking yourself, why is this chapter called 'we must go deeper'? In part it was lack of a better name, and also because it's true. For today ladies and gentlemen, I will take on the the enormous challenge of explaining "Subjective Reality". Now before I go any further I'll ask you this, do you all know what The Butterfly Effect is? No or yes? If yes, please shut your faces while I explain. If no, take prior advice. The Butterfly Effect was originally conceived in Chaos Theory mathematics,which I may or have not had my hand in creating. Moving on, the basic concept is that there is an original timeline. Now let's say that in your childhood, you met a particularly scary clown. Now let's think about that one encounter for a second. Because of this one encounter, there will be at least 1 offshoot of your life. The first is you will forever Coulrophobia or fear of clowns causing you to be forever paranoid and frightened of clowns. That's right, somewhere in the massive ever shifting folds of the time-space nexus there will suddenly exist a dimension because of that one encounter. And this happens throughout your life at certain crucial intervals too. Another example would be if your father didn't make it to your 5th Birthday because he was working late. Take that scenario and let's add the first in there as well. The first, if all goes according to plan, your father will appear as soon as the cake is wheeled into the room. If this happens you will now forever look up to your father as a sort of superman and your relationship will be fine and dandy. Now let's look at the second scenario, a direct offshoot of the first one. The cake is wheeled in and everybody's yelling happy birthday, but this time your father doesn't surprise you by arriving. And you blow out the candles, make a wish, and pass out slices, play party games yada yada yada. The day is coming to a close, your mother herds you to your bedroom and you promptly fall asleep, dead tired because of the day's activities. Now your father walks in and is berated by your mother, the two get in to an argument resulting in your father raging and leaving the house to drown his sorrow in booze. Your mother stays at home and cries silently while you shake silently in fear. What was supposed to be a happy occasion turned into a horrible horrible memory. This is The Butterfly Effect. Taking the original time-line and creating it a parallel universe or dimension in which the occasion drastically changes factors within your life. Now how you ask, is this pertinent to 'Subjective Reality'. Well Subjective Reality is...basically the belief in that when you dream, that is the real you. That abstract madness that goes through your mind when you rest at night. Okay, so seeing as how we're talking about dreams, I dearly hope you understand where The Butterfly Effect comes into play. .....Okay i'll be honest with you here. The God of Chaos (me). Sewer of Discord and Anarchy (Also me). Is scared of that place. There is no rhythm or reason to dreaming or what happens within those dreams. Actually there is. Subjective Reality is....basically a day in a surrealist's mind. But maybe....just maybe it isn't. Maybe all that madness of candied tacos and faces made of maggots that appear in your wildest dreams and nightmares are "The Truth." Maybe it is what actually happens when you stare into the abyss, the true, unified face of "The universe" in it's entirety? I take it by now you are probably scratching your head and looking at this with confusion in your eyes. I'll gladly oblige. "The Butterfly Effect" is what happens when one particular memory gets...altered. This can also happens in dreams. I mean, most dreams are based off of what happens in real-life anyway. Take for example, you are working in your cubicle and your boss is being a total asshat as he micro-manages and points out all the obvious flaws in your work. You will most likely have a dream that night about your boss be it you chasing him, making him into a baby with your all powerful kitten rod....or having sex with him. Hey don't kill the messenger I'm just saying the truth. "The Universe" often chooses to show itself within mysterious ways, like a certain over-powered deity. Anyway, the basic forms of this is Karma. Don't...ever...mess...with...Karma. So following this thought, everything in your dreams...is right. All that happens within the little world inside your head is real and it pertains to the massive ever expanding somewhat sentient being/thing that is the universe. The truth exists within our minds, this is the truth of the BIG universe. We in turn live within the giant star swirl of a galaxy within the giant circle. What if that was a dream within a man/women's head? What if the universe that we have come to know as "FACT" is actually just a dream and that what happens in our crazy, crazy minds is the truth that someone somewhere is dreaming of? What if that is what infinity is? Recognition that we are forever in a loop, that something somewhere will always be bigger than us, more vast, more immediate. And to add to the madness, your dreams change every night, they are never the same thing. Such is the universe, slow yet ever changing. And such as our universe within someone else's mind is ever changing. And truth be told, there are galaxies within our own universe that prove wrong our whole concepts of physics, essentially setting us back to square one. And the cause of this ever changing lucid ridiculousness? The Butterfly effect. And that concludes the sermon for today. If you have any questions please meet me at C-345 in the southern campus. I was feeling rather sentimental today so I leave you all with a poem I made in my spare time. Enjoy and bonjour! War was not made for life. War is an atrocity not made for this world. It is an ends to a mean created by one species that ruins lives for all. It is a beast, never filled and always hungry. It is a child of man and it bites the hand that feeds. Those who have never experienced it sing it's praises. They sing and speak of lone warriors who clear whole battlefields with swords. Those who have lived through it never want to experience it again. It has taken all they ever had, all they ever hoped from the world and in turn it has given them bitterness. War is a politicians ends to justify means, all those lives lost on the battlefields are names without faces. And as those in power sing about the fallen, the world revolves unaware of the horror it's citizens brought upon it. No one will care War is a rapist, forcing itself upon you and leaving you cold and empty and broken. War is not fought on the battlefield. It is fought in the homes of wives and widows crying over their dead. It is fought within the dying man who curses the world for his luck, it is fought within the soldier as he marches the long road ahead wondering who will attack him. War is fought within the sick tents in the minds of lucid soldiers as they cry out for mercy to a god who has turned a blind eye. War,war never changes.

I offer my warmest of welcomes to the ponies and bronies whom graced me with their presence. I am about to explain something that's been bothering you grown men for quite some time now. You've probably asked yourself at one point in time; why do I like a show about friendship and magic and ponies? Why is it that grown 20 year old men like this show designated for little girls? It's simple really! Your searching for something that you lost a long time ago; your innocence. No,no,no get your mind out of the gutters you dirty lot! I'm not talking about your sexual innocence! I'm talking about your wide-eyed, curious and positive about the world outlook. You look to My Little Pony because it offers what the cold harsh world took from you! And in abundance too! It tells you that hey! Maybe there is a little spot of good in this cold dark world! Why am I telling you this? Because it makes no sense! Which in a way makes sense because this story is talking about how nothing makes sense and is a good thing! Okay so how do I tell you in the most logical sense what the true meaning of insanity is....... Insanity is thinking outside the box. Take Lady Gaga for example; thinking outside box but also loved and adored by fans! She has been called an inspiration and a true artist! And why do you ask? Because she's being herself. Oh! And here I am getting sidetracked again! Oh no but I'm not getting side tracked! Let's recap shall we? Right now I've told you on why you like MLP so much; because it reminds you of an innocence long lost. Why I told you this; because it makes no sense! And lastly! Why Lady Gaga is celebrated as a [ahem] true artist. That wide eyed innocent you? That was the most creative you, that was the you that looked at things differently. That was the you that would play with that cardboard box for hours and hours on end! Because you thought outside of the proverbial box that is common knowledge and culture! It's the same with Lady Gaga! She thought of the most raw and pure form of.... Horseapples I'm getting off track again! It's so hard being the god of chaos and discord and the like. When you were young, you had yet to form cognitive thought, you experienced emotions in their rawest form; unfiltered and unadulterated by thought or moral. You see, human beings and pony beings are alike because they are sentient and highly intelligent beings. Highly intelligent beings tend to be, as culturally defined; insane. They tend to adapt to their environment. Lets say that you had to kill and eat babies for a living and this was the only way you survived. Now don't get all prissy this is purely hypothetical. If your not being honest with yourself you will say that no you wouldn't and you would rather starve than kill an innocent being. I'll just tell you this; you must either have a really strong will or be really daring and brave to die of starvation. Face it; intelligent beings will adapt to their surroundings to live if only for themselves. If your being honest with your self both your intelligent and animalistic sense you would easily kill those babies and eat them. And you would come to enjoy it in a morbid sense. So once intelligent human and pony beings start forming thoughts, some asinine moron stated; wow dudes! This killing of others is like wrong! We should like...get together and start smoking pot and start living in a fantasy land where we can live without killing anything. And thus, morality was born. Morality is a set of thoughts and rules that guide the general seething masses of the world in their lives and philosophies. It states that one shall not kill for the thrill of it and not kill animals and yadayadayada you know the rest. Now throughout the ages people have come to adopt certain morals that they live by and that's all good and well except when your shoving it down peoples throats. That's right, i'm talking about religion. ANYWAY, morality restricts thoughts and actions. How often have you found yourself looking at a woman's or man's behind and thinking; wow! How I would like to tap that! And then immediately found yourself thinking; no wait! That's dirty. Anyway you catch my drift I hope. And now that we're done covering the basis of what restricts you, what form your innocence takes. I am now going to talk about what is the rawest form of insanity. Imagination. If you have an imagination your thought of as creative, you think and dream up whole worlds in your head. Whole dialogues between brave princesses and and noble knights. Heck the whole conversation on insanity can be based off of one thing and one thing only. Perspective. For example; take the Saw movies. A horrible series of films depicting torture and pain. Now flip it to the masterminds point of view. He was only trying to help a group of lost lambs form a bond through sharing the burdens of trials. This is basically how sane people view insane people. It's almost akin to how non-bronies see bronies. Insanity is the perspective that your doing something that is viewed as grotesque or disgusting or generally doesn't appeal to them and you yourself have no problem of it! It's literally just you being you. And now I will proceed to talk about why you should become insane. A wise man once told me that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting it to change. This is true in fact because how many of you are satisfied with your lives? How many of you take joy in eating, getting ready for work, working, clocking out, going home, watching tv or surfing the internet, and going to bed? A monotonous cycle such as this would wear away the very fabric and nature of the human soul as it cries out for release! Human beings were made to constantly change, to shift personalities, to shift jobs, to shift around the world and move to different places. It is when we are acknowledging these instincts that tell us to move that we become truly human! Or in some cases truly ponies! When you watch My Little Pony you watch it in awe! Your always kept at the edge of your chair waiting and watching with baited breath wondering; What's going to happen next? Is Pinkie going to break the fourth wall again? Is Twilight going to screw up a spell? Is Rarity going to break out in dramatic fashion? You find yourself most excited when you watch these events unfold, completely unaware of what's going to happen. Moving along, I ask you this fellow bronies and ponies. How would you like to feel that rush of energy of not knowing what's going to happen next? For those of you who answer yes the answer is simple; become insane. Now those of you who've stayed with me up until this point are now asking yourselves; but Discord! How will we become insane? It's simple really. First you start viewing things from the opposite perspective. Anything that you plain dislike, view it from another angle. Say for example, you speed metal. Listen to a song all the way through with your eyes closed and imagine what it's like to become a metal head. Essentially what i'm saying is change. Adhere to your natural calling you and your kind have so desperately struggled to break away from and you will experience a freedom unlike any other! And that concludes my presentation on why it is best you become insane. Any questions?
