The End of the Journey (no sex)

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Weeks pass and nothing much changes. AJ's days come and go, classes pass and she's homebound. She spends time with her friends at school and around town, but chooses to work on the farm, or so her friends think.

In reality working together means that AJ and her Mac can get the work done faster and have time together away from prying eyes.

Being a horny teen sex was never far from AJs mind, but the simple touch of Mac as they cuddled up watching a movie or her having his massive arm draped across her narrow shoulders on one of their many walks through the orchard at twilight.

The pair pull in one last harvest before the snow falls and ends their work for the winter. And to celebrate Mac leaves a note and an outfit for her to wear. AJ picked up the note and read it while stripping to her underwear so she could change.

"AJ,
Put this on and come out to the truck.
Love Mac"

AJ blushed, while Mac was never unaffectionate he always performed actions to show it, having concrete, written proof that what they had was real.

She picked up the black turtle neck and felt the nice material in her hands. She slid it on and then stepped into the red with green trim pencil skirt and looked into the mirror.

She didn't give Mac a lot of credit when it comes to fashion, but he really did know how to make her look good. She braided her hair like she did on their walk through the orchard and put on her nicer shoes. AJ headed down and slipped into the garage, and seeing Mac she couldn't help but giggle.

He was dressed up in a button up shirt, suit jacket, and slacks that AJ had never seen before. They both stood looking with each other, neither spoke until Mac simply stated "Yer beautiful." AJ blushed and responded "Yer handsome." Mac ushered her to his truck and opened the door for her, helping her to climb in before shutting the door gently.

He got in and started to drive, placing his hand on the middle console. AJ took the hint and interlaced her hand with his, marveling at how tiny she was compared to him even after all this time. AJ couldn't hold in a question as they turned onto the interstate.

"Where the heck are yah taking me anyway?" Mac laughed at his ever impatient sister, "now do yah wanna ruin the surprise or trust me?" She pouted but accepted his answer, watching out the window as unfamiliar land goes by while some pop song plays.

After an hour of travel, Mac turns off the exit for Manehattan raising AJs curiosity. She finally broke when Mac was constantly checking the clock, "okay I give up! What the heck is going on?" Mac couldn't help but belly laugh at her, and didn't have the ability to stop when he saw her pouty, serious face.

"Aw fine, well Ah've been wanting to be able to act like a real couple fer a while, so Ah found the perfect way to do it. We're goin to Manehattan where no one'll know us for anything but a young couple out on the town. Plus Ah wanted to get yer input on her Hearths warming gift."

AJ wanted to say a lot in that moment. She wanted to do the same for so long, she was so excited for a real date in public, that he was being too generous, etc. But in the end she simply adjusted and leaned into him, moving his musical arm to encase her. "AJ love yah, what are we doin first?"

Mac responded in kind and asked her what she wanted to do, their reservations were for 9:00 which gave them a few hours. "Wanna get the gift thing done first? We can go exploring afterwards." Mac seemed apprehensive but quickly adjusted their route for a mall.

Mac parked and insisted on opening the door for AJ as she stepped out, she flattened her skirt and took his arm as they walked into the mall. They casually strolled through the corridors, arm in arm and occasionally whispering in each other's ear. The freedom both felt to be more affectionate with each other was like uncorking a bottle of wine.

They went to the fountain and tossed a coin in and just as the water fixture turned on, exploding into a rainbow of light and mist. AJ and Mac met face to face, their bright green eyes staring deeply into the others. Their lips met as the colored water show expanded into even more intricate designs. AJ's leg popped up like a Hallmark moment, and after awhile they parted but continued to just look at each other.

Around them people couldn't help but stare. Whether it was women, jealous of AJ for catching such a hunk who seemed to love her very much. Men jealous of Mac for landing such a hottie who wasn't afraid to dress up sexy for date night. Or just a general wish to have a partner who loved the other as much/as equally as the pair at the fountain.

"Ah think that's a good start point to go get her gift." AJ threw herself into his arms for a hug before agreeing. Mac took her to a store she never thought she'd set foot in, a jewelry store. AJ raised an eyebrow at Mac but he ignored her as he got the attention of a woman dressed very formally. They exchanged pleasantries and Mac introduced her.

"This is my girlfriend Brandy," the two women exchanged hellos "Ah jus wanna make sure tha ring fits before Ah pay fer it." AJ's everything stopped for a beat and the shock didn't wear off until Mac placed the ring on her left hand. It fit perfectly and he only said "Perfect" and handed the woman an envelope.

AJ wanted to protest, wanted to scream in terror, wanted to cry in happiness, and so many other things. But the one thing that has brought her comfort in her life, was the thing she did now. She hugged Mac as tight she could safely do and started to cry into his shoulder.

Mac was taken aback and walked her out of the store and into a secluded area for privacy. "Did Ah do something wrong? Ah thought you'd love it. Aw jeez I did, we'll take it ba…" AJ cut off his ramblings of damage control with a simple act.

She kissed him, pulled back, and said "how the heck did yah afford this?! It's an almost exact copy of Mom's!" Mac gave a sheepish grin, "Ah'd rather not say tonight, it's all about us today" AJ fiddled with the ring and "Ah jus don't know how to respond. Ah feel bad that Ah can't give yah something back." "You being here with me, and wanting to continue what we have is more than enough."

Mac checked his watch and quickly ushered them towards the restaurant which was just down the street. "By the way, why Brandy?" She elbowed him in the ribs. "Because yer sweet and a good cure for all mah aches and pains." AJ gripped his arm tighter in response.

The Restaurant was one that AJ had heard Rarity being taken to by her former boy toy Prince Blueblood. "Mac, first the gift and now this? The farm ain't doin that well." Mac shushed her and told them his and her names, and were quickly shown to a private table. The table had a candelabra and two wine glasses sitting on it, with a fancy table cloth and two fancy chairs sitting opposite each other.

The waiter brought an apple wine to the table in a small bucket with ice, pouring some in both glasses. The waiter excused himself while AJ looked over the table "uh Mac where's the menu?" "Oh Ah ordered in advance so Ah knew how much the whole thing would cost, don't worry Ah know you'll love it." She reached across the table with her left hand after taking a sip.

They chatted about the decor, the wait staff, and the other patrons while waiting for their meal. "AJ, ah hope ah'm not blindsiding yah too bad. But Ah wanted to seal what we have into something more solid. Ah know we can never ger married or even really show how we really feel about eachother in public. But Ah can't go on without yah knowing that if Ah could ah would."

AJ breathed in and out for a few seconds and tried to answer but she couldn't find the words that she wanted to say. Thankfully, or not, their food arrived and interrupted her before her brain expressed every emotion. They ate their amazing dinner in silence with not a word between them. While some couples might be worried about that, they knew each other well enough to not be phased.

The bill was paid for and the couple left, continuing their silence. But AJ lead them this time, practically dragging Mac with her to a tourist spot Rarity had told her of. The small two story building overlooked the river that runs in the middle of Manehattan and had a view of all the skyscrapers lit up in holiday lights.

They both stared as the man made forest shown with a man made constellation. The roar of city life adding to a cacophony of lights, sounds, and smalls that drove the simple county folk together and into each other's arms. AJ stared up at her lover, her brother, but most importantly her man. And said the only words she could think of.

"Ah do"
