To my regular readers, this story is a mite different to the others. I just needed to get it out of my system before continuing with the others.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. Why did you agree to go with Twilight into that forest again?!
Dash hid on the roof of a high building giving her a good vantage point, strange metal vehicles riding over the streets below. Rainbow went back to looking over the city. She had to find the high school around here since it was supposedly where the portal back to Equestria was located. Problem was, she had no idea where to look, and it probably was a bad idea to ask around. This place apparently didn't have talking pegasi.
Dash took flight once again. If she stayed high up enough then she wouldn't look all that different from a big bird as seen from the ground. She scanned all the large buildings to see what they were, but most just seemed like they were the property of one company or another. She'd probably have to shift her search more to the outskirts of the city to get results.
Ugh, it's going to take a while, covering that much ground is going to take even me some time… and with the sun going down I will have to find a place to sleep...
Just before Dash was going to fly further away to expand her search she picked something up she wasn't expecting. Down below on an almost abandoned street, she noticed a corner store. Now there were plenty of corner stores around but this one, in particular, stood out due to the name.

Dash dove down immediately, landing across the street just in time for two figures to emerge from the shop, closing up behind them.

“No problem, Pinks, those cakes were awesome so I owed ya at least this much,” the second human replied with a raspy laugh. It left no doubt in Dash's mind who these two were.
Twilight did say there were copies of us around here. if I'm going to get help it's going to be from them!
“See ya Monday, Dashie!” Pinkie jumped on her bike and shot away at a speed only Pinkie would produce. Human Rainbow chuckled and sat down on her own two-wheeled vehicle, this one lacked the pedals to propel itself and was much bulkier than Pinkie's. Seeing that her chance was slipping away, Dash flapped her wings and crossed the street in an instant.
“Hey, wait!” Human Dash looked over her shoulder to see who called, her jaw-dropping as she saw the pegasus awkwardly standing behind her. “Uhh, hi.”
Human Dash still said nothing and kept staring at her, making Rainbow even more uncomfortable.
Did I make a mistake? No, that can't be. That was definitely Pinkie back there and she did call her 'Dashie'.
“I… kind of need your help.”
That got the human copy of herself out of her stupor. “Right… wow, uhh, yeah. Definitely not what I was expecting tonight. We should get over to my place, hop on..”

Human Dash gave the bike a kick of sorts, making it growl to life very loudly. The tires squealed as they slipped over the ground before propelling them at high speed. It came to an end all too quickly as they drove up the driveway of a residential home.
“That. was. Awesome!” Rainbow exclaimed as she got off the bike and flew a few circles around it.
“Heck yeah! That's why I have it after all… though we should get inside before someone sees us,” human Dash said with a sheepish smirk.
“Right, lead the way.”
The two of them entered through the back door, her human copy putting away the helmet she'd worn while riding the bike, tossed away her jacket, and kicked off her shoes. “Ma and Pa are out for the weekend so we are clear, I'm sure Shimmer will easily be able to pass along a note to your Twilight and open the portal so you can get home.”
“That'd be awesome!” Dash smiled as she looked around the room. The walls were painted with light blues, various pictures of Dash and her family hanging on the walls, and the furniture around was all white.
“Alright, come on up, I'll show you my room and we'll call Shimmer.”
“Call? Does she live nearby?” Dash asked, a little confused as she followed herself up the stairs. Human Dash snorted a little laugh but then realized she was serious.
“Right. No, she doesn't,” she replied, “Twi might not have told you but we have devices that can communicate over distance.”
Rainbow smacked her forehead with a wing. “She did tell us about that!”
“Good, so we'll call Shimmer and she'll do the rest.” Rainbow's lips widened into a smile as they entered Dash's private room. Posters lined the walls and there were some hangers that had medals hanging from them. The ground too was a mess of comics and Rainbow even spotted something that looked like Daring Do. It was absolutely in the same state as her room back in Equestria. “Don't mind the mess, didn't exactly expect a visitor this weekend.”
“I'm used to it,” Rainbow chuckled.
“Cool.” Dash pulled out her phone and got Sunset's contact up, calling the number. She placed the phone on the bed between herself and the pegasus, a beeping sound coming from it as it tried connecting to the phone on the other end.
“Sunset Shimmer here, I'm currently not-”
Dash groaned and pressed the button to end the call, Rainbow raising an eyebrow. “What did you do that for?”
“It's Shimmer's voicemail, a pre-recorded message telling us she isn't there,” Dash explained, picking up the phone and tapping on it rapidly. “I'll just send her a message that you're here and she should inform Twilight ASAP.” Dash raised her phone and pointed the back at Rainbow. “Smile!”
“Wha-”
The phone made a click and Dash turned it around to show Rainbow a picture of herself looking totally confused. “That's perfect, don't you think?” Before Rainbow could object Dash had sent the picture off to Sunset. “Done, now it's waiting for Shimmer to look at her phone.”
“I hate you,” Rainbow deadpanned.
“Hating yourself isn't healthy I hear,” Dash smirked back at her, Rainbow's belly deciding to rumble at that moment. “Being hungry isn't either. Want something?”
Rainbow huffed but let it slide. “A salad would be nice.”
“I'll see what I can do, I was kinda planning on just ordering pizza.” Dash left Rainbow in her room while she went downstairs to get some food for the two of them. Rainbow took the time to inspect some of the books some more, rummaging through the ones on the floor and tossing away some dirty clothes into a single pile. The book she'd found bore a very similar title to one of her own.
Daring Do and the Philosopher's Stone… wanna bet it's pretty much the same as the Sapphire Stone?
Rainbow chuckled as she put down the book and continued rummaging through the paper articles, eventually noticing a stack of books under Dash's bed.
Of course she'd have more of them… I do too after all…
Pulling out those books too to look if their titles were similar enough too she noticed a fairly large box sitting under the bed.
Huh, I wonder what's in there…
Pulling it from under the bed she found it weighed fairly heavy. Undoing the clamps that held the lid in place, she pulled the top off. Finding the box contained smaller boxes. Her curiosity immediately got the better of her as she opened the first, and topmost, cardboard box. That curiosity immediately turned to confusion as to the item in there was a solid metal collar, a padlock of sorts being built into the thing and a large ring hanging from it.
What does she need that for? Is she looking for a pet or something? If so I'd have to suggest a tortoise, I don't know what I'd do without Tank.

Dash just quietly typed some things on the keyboard of the machine, the screen obscured by her body.
“So what's up with the box?” Rainbow eventually asked after downing about half the salad.
Dash didn't even turn around as she answered. “Uhh… well, you know… you sometimes have… needs?”
“All that just for your needs?” Rainbow pushed. Dash groaned and hid her face in her arms on the desk.
“It may have gone a bit out of hand…” Dash answered from her position.
“So what is ‘It’ then?” Rainbow may still have been a little creeped out but with that came a new burning desire to know more.

“When?”
The doorbell rang.
“Now!” Dash replied, jumping out of bed. “Come over here, you.”

The doorbell rang again.

“Rainbow!” Twilight shot forward, past Dash and picked up the pegasus. “I was so worried when I lost track of you!”
“I'm fine Twilight, I stayed over here with Dash,” Rainbow reassured her as she had the air being pressed from her lungs.
“You know, it wouldn't have hurt for the two of you to have chosen a less unholy time than six o'clock to pick her up,” Dash grumbled.
“We wanted to get Dash and bring her back to the portal before the streets get too busy since she apparently didn't get transformed like Twilight here,” Sunset pointed out. Dash sighed as she could see the point.
“Alright, guess here's where we part ways.” Dash crouched down next to the pegasus as she'd just been released by Twilight. “We had fun, right?”
“Definitely,” Rainbow smirked, bumping the fist Dash was holding out with her hoof. “Who knows, maybe I'll visit again!”
The two other girls were totally oblivious to the deeper meaning of the words between the two Rainbows who smirked as they parted ways. Rainbow took to the air and followed Sunset and Twilight to the high school with the portal back home. They said their quick goodbyes to Sunset and disappeared into the plinth of the statute there, getting transported back to Equestria.
“I'm actually surprised you didn't transform into a human when you entered their world,” Twilight noted as they stepped through on the other end.
