Author's Note

I, being a human, have no idea what the nature or content of the citizenship law of Equestria is, so I decided to put you in suspense by turning the focus of the story away from Lonesome Knight’s citizenship test and toward the whereabouts of the Mane Five (i.e. the Mane Six minus Twilight Sparkle).
The first of these “Meanwhile, back on Earth…”-type chapters will focus on Pinkie Pie, and no, its title does not come from the name of the game that she played with the Cake twins in Baby Cakes (episode 213).

2. Where’s Pinkie Pie?

Meanwhile, at Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie Pie had left all the shelves clean out of apple pie!

“Mmm-mmm-mmm-mmm-mmmmmmm—toasty!” she chirped after finishing off the last of the pie.

“Ooooooooooooh—I’m going to faint!” she whined, clutching her stomach region with both front hooves.

Not even her stomach—strong though it was—could tolerate the amount of apple pie that she had just eaten.

Mr. Cake phoned the Ponyville Hospital for an ambulance while Mrs. Cake attended to Pinkie Pie, of whom the latter was now unconscious.

“It’s going to be OK, dear,” Mrs. Cake told Pinkie Pie. “You’ll be back on your hind hooves by the time you come back.”
