2 hours. 2 freaking hours, that's how long it took the train to get to Ponyville. I tell you I am not in to mood for it right now my divorce was just finalized. My ex wife and I were married for close to 15 years and she cheated on me, well good riddens. At least I moved away from her to Ponyville. I was walking for 20 minutes and couldn't find my new home. While I was walking some pink mare attempted to talk to me, I told her to screw off, she sat on the ground crying and when she did I let out a little chuckle and walked away. Then I saw my new home it was a small house at the boundaries of Ponyville. I unpack all my stuff and decide to go to the local pub and have a drink of anything.
When i arrived at the pub it seemed to be a pretty lonesome place but one thing stood out, a red mare playing the piano, it was the most beautiful thing i have ever heard in my entire life. I sat down still listening to the remarkable tune this mare was playing, I asked for a ice cold beer and I got it. I turned around to watch this mare play, and as she played I forgot all of my troubles. She then turned to me and I saw her face, she was beautiful, the most beautiful mare i have ever seen in my entire life. I turned back around and asked for another beer, I then heard silence I turned back to her and she was gone. I asked the bartender who that beautiful mare was he said her name was the piano mare and that she comes here every night playing that piano. I stayed at the pub until I got drunk and stumbled home, I fell on my bed and slept through the entire night.
When I woke up I walked down to the local store and applied for a job. The rest of the day was uneventful. When I was walking home I saw that pink mare walking around singing like an idiot, I laughed at the thought of her crying again. I arrived at home, sat down and put the television to my favorite show 'my little brony'. It was my favorite episode, when Kevin learnt to fly. I had always wished to be happy, to find another pony to relate to me or to have a human of my very own but we all know that will never happen. When all the episodes were over it was 9 pm and I felt like a drink so I went back to the pub and as soon as I walked in I saw the piano mare playing another beautiful song. I didn't hesitate I went right up to her after she finished and started talking to her.
"Hello."I said nervously
"Hmm? Oh sorry I didn't see you, do you need help?" She asked
"I just wanted to say that I love your music."
"Oh thank you."
"My name is Coco Beans by the way."
"I'm Roxie piano's but everyone just calls me the piano mare."
She walked out, she looked back a me with a smile and my heart melted. I sat down on a seat and ordered some vodka this time. I didn't drink as much as I did the other night but I was still pretty drunk when I got home.
The next morning the store rang me up telling me I had a job and that I started in 20 minutes. I had a quick shower and had a quick breakfast, I arrived just on time, I was told I would be working on the cash register and a mare came and taught me how to use the register. I worked an 8 hour shift with no break, when I was done I went back to the pub and had some more vodka but strangle Roxie wasn't there. After a while she came in sat at the piano and started to play it. "i know this song" I thought to my self, it was my mother favorite song, she was playing piano mare by Filly Joel. It brought tear to my eye, just remembering my mother was saddening for me. I stood up and left the bar not even drunk yet. When I got home I pulled out an old family photo album. I looked through it but one picture stood out, it was the last time I saw my mother. It was a picture of when we were at the park having a picnic. That was the last happy moment in my life. After she died me and my ex wife started to fight and all that lead up to our divorce. I went to sleep fairly early and had a dream of Roxie. When I woke up I had realized that I loved her, I don't even know her and I love her. I left for work an hour later and got there on time and done the same stuff as yesterday.
I have been living in Ponyville for 2 months now and ever since I moved here my life has become just that little bit happier. I have been speaking to Roxie a bit more, and I have been promoted to assistant manager at the store. When I woke up I ate some cereal and drank some carrot juice, I headed off to work after a long shower and arrived a little bit late but I didn't care. It was the same stuff, I told people what to do but I also had to suck up to the manager to keep my job. When my shift was over I bought stuff from the store and took them home. I then went to the pub but Roxie wasn't there and it was the usual time she was there so i went up to the bartender and asked him where she was, he said she left town.
"Why?" I asked
"She was offered a record deal." he answered back
"Where did she go?"
"Manehatten."
I was in shock. I walked out of the bar and went home, when I got home I started to cry.
After a long cry I decided that my life would be a sham without her, I went to the train station and bought a ticket to Manehatten. I arrived there within 3 hours and asked around about her but nopony knew who she was. I was walking to the nearest hotel when I saw a theater and noticed a poster and it read 'Come and see the talented Roxie'. It was her I could tell from the picture, I bought a ticket and went in. I sat down and waited for the show to start, when it did she didn't seem like herself. She looked upset and she wasn't the Roxie I knew. Nearing the ending of the show I had enough. I stood up jumped on stage looked at her and said "Sing me a song you're my piano mare sing me a song tonight." A guard jumped on me but Roxie told him to stop so he did I stood up, she looked me in the eyes and kissed me "I have always loved you Coco." We went back to Ponyville and I saw that pink mare, I walked to her and apologized about my cruel behavior, she forgave me. I then turned to Roxie and said I love you to.
