They went to the entrance of the Golden Oak Library Quarantine Cage. Both of the door guards gave them respectful salutes before opening the anti-magical metal door. It slowly swung open with a hydraulic hiss. Spike and his troop gave them acknowledged nods while entering the cage. After they took a few steps forward, the door automatedly shut with a thud behind them. They noticed that the inside of the cage was heavily fortified. There was a sun-colored magic shield bubble around the area to keep anything inside and outside of it. On the ground, many barricades were created out of the same material that the door was made of. Lastly, guards were porched up everywhere if their pest tried to escape. “My wife and her older sister are not taking any chances with this one,” Spike thought, going to this confinement command area. His squad followed right behind him like loyal soldiers. “Hazard Beret? A dark green mare who wore a high-ranking beret stopped scolding a new rookie. Then she looked around for who called out for her. A few seconds later, her bright yellow eyes laid on Spike and his squad. “Prince Spike, I’m not expecting you and your squad to be here. How can I help you guys out?” She inquired with a smile while walking to them. “Luna and Celestia sent us to try to banish the pest,” He replied, returning her kind gesture to her. “What is its status?” “Unknown, because it remained inside the Golden Oak Library. Also, it put up a magical barrier around the library.” Hazard acquired with a salute as her soldiers tirelessly worked on their duties. “Thanks, Hazard,” Spike thanked, getting a sweet dream cigarette from the pack that was in his jacket’s pocket. Then he lit it with his dragon breath before taking a few puffs from it. Its sweet and harmless smoke filled his lungs and made him feel good. He blew the smoke away from everyone. “Welcome, Spike. Please, be careful.” Beret expressed concern in her voice while watching him and his squad walk to the exit. He acknowledged her with a wave from his claw before leaving the command area. After a few moments of walking, they were at the front entrance of the Golden Oak Library. It was a simple red barn door with a melted candle on a torch holder. He threw his used cigarette at the door. It bounced off a purple magical barrier that suddenly appeared in front of it. Then it fell on the stepstone. “Interesting, can someone throw an anti-magic crystal ball at the entrance,” Spike ordered nonchalantly. “Yes, sir,” One of his squad members replied before getting the requested item from her saddlebags. Then she expertly threw it at the door. When the barrier caught the black crystal ball, it rapidly began to absorb the barrier. After a short while of slowly turning purple, it fell on the ground with a loud thud. Now the shield got a sizable hole in it and gave them access to the door. Spike walked to the Golden Oak Library’s entrance and tried to open it. It was locked, despite it being a terrible attempt from their pest to keep him. “Why does every pest think that locked doors stop us? If I easily can do this,” He acquiesced with a laugh, effortlessly ripping the barn door off from its hinges before throwing it aside. This moment made every mare soldier expect his squad immediately came. They daydreamed about him doing them while their juices shamelessly dipped on the grounds. Meanwhile, Spike and his team entered the inside of Golden Oak Library. The sunshine from the entrance and their chest moonlight crystals lit up the almost first floor. The first floor was the library part of this house. They saw a neat mess of wooden and clean pony bones bookshelves that took up most of the floor space. With their intense training, they were not bothered by seeing pony remains. After a couple of seconds of being in the room, they discovered it was spotlessly clean without any dust in the air. Spike dug into his animated starry night bag for a bookworm sprites grenade. With a single swift movement, he took a parasprite shaped explosive out of his bag. Then he pulled its pin off before throwing it in the direction of bookshelves. When its sensor detected books in front of it, it detonated into a swarm of hungry bookworm sprites. They excitedly flew at books and greedily started to eat their pages. In a few seconds passed by, their stomachs were full of fascinating literature. They sleepily laid on everywhere before magically disappeared from existence. Hardcovers were only the remains of books. Some of them fell on the floor because they were too skinny for pony ribs to hold them. “The pest is not on this floor. It probably will be on the second floor. Maus, I want you to take the lead on the stairs,” Spike ordered, pointing to the wooden staircase. “Yes, sir,” she replied with no hesitation in her voice as she went to the stairs. Meanwhile, he and their squad followed behind her. They covered her flank from any attack. When her massive hooves climbed the staircase, it loudly creaked from her weight more than others. They heard a lot of panicky movement on the second floor. “Go loud! Maus, you break that damn door down now!” Spike commanded, quickly climbing up the top of the stairs and the second-floor door. Maus nodded before ramming it with all of her body weight. The impact made the door slammed open with so much force that the part of the door frame broke off. There were many splinters on the ground—she and her troop rushed in and aimed crossbows at the pest. It was a purple unicorn mimic mare with a book base instead of a treasure chest one. She had a protective but terrified expression while tightly a scared colt to her chest. His head was buried into her chest as he lightly sobbed. Meanwhile, her horn was overcharged with her magic. It waited on its owner to choose a powerful spell to cast. “Freeze and let go of that colt now!” Spike ordered loudly as one of his claws on his crossbow’s trigger. The mimic mare just stared at them, casting a spell that blinded them with a light purple light. Then it created an explosion that easily knocked them out and destroyed the top of Golden Oak Library. The splintered wood, broken branches, and other materials were scattered around the inner of the confinement area. Luckily, the confinement sky shield did block any debris from causing damage in Ponyville. After an unknown amount of time passed by, Spike and his squad were on temporary relief due to their injuries. the palace doctors grimly exclaimed that they were alive because of their phoenix necklaces’ healing abilities. Despite their healing, their bodies needed time to recover. Spike and his squad were happy to spend their time with their beloveds. Unfortunately, the fate of the pest was unknown. When they returned back to active duty, they probably would find out. The End

It got this name from its preferred food source. He, his wife, and her sister grimly discovered this pest from the incoming reports of parents found their fillies were dead in the morning. They only would feel remorse for filly families and tried to kill this living nightmare as soon as possible. After the new victim, Luna made her mission to monitor every of the next likely victims. She quickly saw it was a light pink clown mare with a long free flow mane. It used its sweet charisma lured fillies to its realm before eating their souls. Fortunately, Luna cast a massive, powerful spell that strongly lured this living nightmare to this trap. It was a waiting game, for the pest took him as her bait. Least, he had a bouncing ball to bounce off the alley wall to pass the time by. Meanwhile, Luna sneaky took a few pictures of his filly disguise without him knowing. She kept them in their family photo book for memories. After her camera spits them out of its slot, she teleported them out of this dream. In a short while of bouncing his ball off the wall, his bouncing ball suddenly bobbed strangely. Its velocity made it go further in the maze of alleys. Spike raised one of his eyebrows in the direction that his toy went. ”Finally,” He thought as he stood up on all four with the glace of a newborn pony that started to figure to walk on their legs. With a few nasty falls and the pace of a drunken pony, he managed to make it to the labyrinth entrance of back alleys. “I never get used to walking on all four. Despite I’m frequently disguised as a pony,” Luna watched his husband enter into the deeper alleys as she was in the sky to look for any signs of the Filly Devourer. Despite the apparent labyrinth of passages that it used its powers to create, she didn’t see any more signs of it. When Spike tried to return to his past spot, an old red brick wall came up from the ground and blocked him. “Mom, mom, mom!” He cried in distress as he hit the wall with his forelegs in a useless attempt to break it. “I definitely need a fucking Oscar for this performance,” He thought, acting his role. He suddenly heard a crown wagon horn before a masked crown mare picked Spike up and placed him in the wagon. Then she tightly grabbed around his chest to prevent it from falling off. Spike was speechless from what had happened to him. His mind was overloaded with a mix of emotions. He covered his head with one of his forelegs to block the debris that was kicked up from wagon movers. His ears were heavily assaulted with loud and cheerful carnival music. Meanwhile, Luna followed them from the sky. The portal that was made of light blue and yellow balloons suddenly appeared in front of them. The wagon went through it without any resistance. Luna quickly flew into it before it closed and disappeared from existence. The fake dream world started to collapse because Luna was not here to support it with her magic. It slowly went away like a decaying leaf. After exiting the portal, Luna saw herself at the entrance of the circus. Unfortunately, this circus was not the fun kind that she firmly remembered. The pony corpses were impaled on the entrance rusty fence’s tips. Their blood ran down poles like goo—the decreased filly in the ticket booth dressed in a carnival worker. Lastly, the flashing sign was at the top of the booth with ‘Pinky Happily Carnival.’ “Nighthaze! Ahggh!” Spike screamed in pain as his regular voice overpowered the creeping circus music. After hearing her emergency code name and his cries for help, Luna flew into the sky and cast her husband’s location spell. In a few moments of sensing around the area for his life aura, she found him at the farthest part of the tents and carnival games maze. With the spell guiding, she went in the direction of Spike as fast as possible. “Hold on, honey. I’m coming!” Luna thought to herself. Meanwhile, Spike was tied down on a dartboard with two oversized play darts in his body. “Ooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, f……” Spike, excruciating, tried not to cuss at a small colt that threw the third dart in one of his eyes. It was stuck in his eye socket as his blood ran down from a new wound. “Bullseye!” The colt with the proudest look on his face. The masked candy monster in a carnival worker outfit took out all of the darts in Spike and gave them back to the young player. Spike’s phoenix necklace healed his wounds after every round that brat played. “How many rounds until you die, oversized lizard?” The foal acquired with a determined expression, seeing his target’s wounds healing themselves. “You’re too young to be married to her. Also, she is a deadly living nightmare too,” Spike brutally honestly acquired, staring at him. “Thanks for your comment. Do you still not recognize me? I’m sure that you have my missing pony poster at your palace,” “Nope. I haven’t seen you before. Plus, I never see your poster nether,” “Oh, then I have to show you my past life form,” The colt acquired with a nostalgic tone before transforming into a young adult version of himself. “Jack Box, how?” Spike inquired with an awed expression as he immediately recognized him now. “My sweet wife found me by her heart. Then She immediately changed my life to outstanding as fuck from a hellhole that I sadly called home. Anyways, I’m going to kill you now. Prince, “ Jack Box replied with a happy smile before transforming into his living nightmare. Then he pulled out a heavy crossbow with a bomb bolt out of his jack in the box body bottom. “Why and how you become a living nightmare, Jack?” Spike asked with an unbelievable expression as the nightmare aimed its weapon at his chest. Jack didn't answer his question and was about to pull the trigger without any hesitation. The Foal Devourer suddenly came out from somewhere and teleported Jack with her before a dark blue magic fire spell hit the area. The spell’s projective slammed into the ground and scattered flames. The carnival game stand and candy monster instantly caught on fire and burnt into a pile of ashes. It didn’t have a chance to do anything. Meanwhile, Spike was not affected by flames due to being a dragon. Luna grabbed and held him like a newborn foal before he fell to the ground. “Good timing, honey!” He exclaimed with a smile on his face while warmly staring at his wife. “Did the living nightmare cheap toy hurt you?” She inquired with a protective tone, checking every inch of his body for any injuries. “Y……..,” “We ain’t done with you guys yet,” Jack Box stated with a pissed-off expression after firing his weapon at Prince. The bolt, painful, pierced and buried itself inside of Spike’s body. Its tip started to beep and repeatedly flashed red. Spike tried to pull it out with all of his might. However, its barbed end made it impossible to do that. “We hope that you guys have an exploding and frostbiting night, bye-bye,” The foal Devourer cheerily said in a sing sang voice as she forcedly bucked Luna into a portal that led to unknown. Luna and Spike freefell from the sky while a nasty blizzard batted their bodies with its snow. Its cold quickly zapped their life out of them, more specifically Spike. A few moments later, the bolt that was in his body exploded. An unknown amount of time passed by. “Princess Luna, What happened to you!” One of the Crystal Empire guards that guarded the front doors of Cadence’s palace acquired with a terrified look. Luna was covered entirely with Spike’s frozen blood. She tightly wrapped a newborn Spike with both of her wings while holding him with a foreleg. “Foal Devourer……,” She replied blankly as she opened doors up and walked into the palace.

He, his squad, a few royal guards were at the entrance of an old farm named Sweet Apple Acres. The old arched wooden gate had fading painted apples with hearts and the farm name on it. Tree branches crowded around it like weeds. The path was a simple dirt path that was overgrown with grass and other plant types. Finally, the sides of the trail were home to massive apple trees. Spike had a last puff from his cigarette before putting it out. “Guys, we need to be super aware because we don’t have any information about this living nightmare,” He exclaimed while looking back at his squad. “Yes, sir!” They replied with a respectful salute. “Prince Spike and your squad, I’ll take you guys to the old farmhouse,” One of the royal guards that guarded the front entrance. After a few moments of going through the gate, many un-national worms suddenly came out of the ground and went on the guard. She was quick to try getting them off her. Her efforts were hopeless due to the unbelievable amount of them. Luckily for her, Spike was fast to blow fire on her. After a couple of seconds of screaming in agony, he, his squad, and her comrades put her out with a raincloud downpour. She only had enough strength to walk toward them and say thank you before collapsing to the ground. Everyone went to her and removed all the burnt to crisp insect corpses off her body. Then medics checked her for any injuries. Fortunately for her, she has minimum burns, but she would need therapy. Maus quickly put the unconscious guard on her back, going to their medics’ tent as fast as possible. “We need to retreat now...” Another swarm of worms came out of the ground and covered Spike’s body within seconds. He tried to blow fire; however, worms used their bodies to create a living and robust robe to prevent him from doing that. The only thing that he would use his claws to slice them up as quickly as possible. He tightly closed his eyes to prevent them from going and eating himself inside. The movements of the worms’ noise overpowered the outside sound. Spike was suddenly engulfed in an intense feeling like he would get when he was in a lava pool. Some pony grabbed Spike in their magic and moved him from underneath the volcano ash insect corpses pile. Then they hugged him close to their chest with their long and slender forelegs. Spike immediately knew who was due to their sunny beach smell. “Are you okay, Spike? I came as fast as I would after I got s.o.s from your squad,” Celestia acquired with a concerned tone in her voice as his muzzle was buried deep in her chest fluff. “Now I am. Thank you for saving me, Celestia. We need to kill this living nightmare fast before its bug minions spread to this town,” He replied while looking up at her. “Yes, we need to deal with this issue now. I have a plan. But, I need you to protect me when I'm casting the spell. Your squad and my soldiers immediately need to evaluate from this area now!” She exclaimed with an urgent look as more worms busted out of the ground and made a barrier of their bodies in front of the gate. “You can count me, Aunt,” Spike said, saluting to her; soldiers followed her order without any hesitation. Celestia nodded and put him on her back before going to the sky. Then she quickly flew in the direction of the old farmhouse. Meanwhile, the insects did everything in their power to reach them. However, their efforts were useless. After a couple of minutes later, Celestia and Spike finally reached the farmhouse. At this moment, the ground was a living and moving mass of worms. “I am going to start casting the spell now. It will need time to cast,” Celestia stated. Her horn slowly started to be surrounded by her golden magic. “Okay,” Spike replied, looking at his surroundings for any danger. The insects only would watch them from the ground. The swarms suddenly rushed into the house like a river. “What are they doing now?” He inquired with a curious expression as the rest of the swarms went into the building. “No matter what are they doing in there. My spell is ready. I’m going to kill all of them by cleansing this whole damn area with my celestial object!” She replied with a rightful look as she unleashed her massive spell. The magic around her horn suddenly disappeared, and a vast glowing golden magic symbol was everywhere on the Sweet Apple Acres land. Then an enormous sunbeam that came from her sun forcibly hit the ground and blinded them. After a couple of seconds later, the blinding light was gone like a flash. Spike and Celestia opened their eyes and saw Sweet Apple Acres was a deep charred crater. There was smoke coming out from the ground like a hot spring. “I’m sure that your……..,” Spike got interrupted by a barbed wire lasso suddenly was around Celestia’s neck before its owner forcibly pulled them down into the ground. Luckily for them, their healing factor made the fall not deadly. Celestia was pissed now. Her eyes, mane, and tail steadily turned into hellfire as her body temperature rose. The heat of her body melted the lasso’s loop off her neck. “I’m not fucking around anymore, pest!” Celestia exclaimed with a pissed-off expression as she looked at the living nightmare apple farmer. Then she created a mini sun from her magic while menacingly walking toward it. The nightmare slowly fled back until her hindlegs hit a dirt wall. She sat down against the wall and gave the most hatred stare to the sun princess. Meanwhile, a couple of baby worms came out from her body before falling on the ground. Spike and Celestia was suddenly shot with crossbow before their bodies were exploded into a bloody mess. After a couple of hours later, Celestia quietly teleported into Luna’s bedroom while carrying a sleeping baby Spike. She floated him into his wife’s bed and under blankets before going back to her room. Spike curled into Luna’s fur as he has a smile on his face. In return, she did the same thing in her sleep.

Luna asked me to give you this to you,” Spike replied with a reassuring tone after fishing out a letter with Luna’s seal from his bag. Then he handed it to her before grabbing his drink from her. Gin opened up the letter and started to read its message scroll. After she was done reading it, Gin dropped it on the bar counter and passionately hugged him. Then she kissed him on his lips which he accepted without any hesitation. Every pony was in her bar happily cheered from the sight of Gin becoming the newest herd mate to Spike. After a couple of moments later, Gin and Spike slowly broke off their kiss with a blissful hum. “Welcome to our family, Gin. I hope you stay with us forever,” He exclaimed with a smile as he hooked a new sliver feather phoenix necklace around her neck. “Luna will not regret this decision,” She replied with a few cracks of joy in her voice. Her necklace was shining from the lights. “I know,” “After I close my bar, I’ll fill the other thing that Luna tell me to do with you,” Gin wanted to tell him that she was applying toward her dirty talk—however, a cyan blue Pegasus mare with a rainbow mane and tail came into the bar. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at her. When she saw Spike, she had a pissed-off expression before knocking out everyone except Gin with a swift kick to their head. Gin grabbed Spike with her magic and ran into the home part in her bar. Then she went to her bedroom before putting him down on her bed. Meanwhile, the Pegasus mare followed right behind her. “Why are you protecting that bastard from me. We are on the same species that he is trying to kill off!” She shouted, narrowing her eyes after quickly locking the door. Then she transformed into her living nightmare form. “He is mine. It is your first and last warning to get out of my fucking house!” Gin acquired with a hiss as she changed into her nightmare form. The cyan mare didn’t say before recklessly lunging at Spike. However, she got a mouth full of Gin’s glass hoof. She tried to crush and eat the hoof. However, it was proven to be impossible. “Bad choice,” Gin exploded her hoof like a fragment grenade. Its explosion and debris destroyed the rainbow mane bitch’s head into a bloody mess. Her blood went on everywhere in the room. Her body fell on the floor with a thud. Spike was up a while and saw everything that did happen. He was speechless and didn’t know how to think about Gin as a living nightmare. Gin turned around to him and saw he had a terrified look on his face. “You need to go out here before this fucker heals herself. Unfortunately, my dream that I am as one of your herd mates is ruined by her. I’m sure you guys don’t want a living nightmare like me,” she exclaimed with a sad expression after her hoof healed itself if its explosion didn’t happen. Then she took her necklace and gave it to him “Gi…….,” Spike tried to reply. But, the cyan pegasus’ body slowly got up from the floor before growing a new head. “Dumb bitch, you’ll regret that!” The Pegasus mare stated with an aggressive tone as she tackled Gin into the wall. Then she was ready to bite down Gin’s neck. Spike swiftly delivered a slice to the back of her head with his claw. His claw easily cut her hide, skull, and brain like paper. Her fresh wound was quick to heal itself. They heard a lot of movement around the building and in it. “Dammit, this is my clue to leave. However, my king will be pissed and come to get every one of you guys!” The living nightmare pegasus exclaimed with a laugh after headbutting Gin and bucked Spike. Then she broke and flew out of the window before vanishing in the darkness without any trace. “Quick, Gin. You need to transform back to your non-living nightmare form!” Spike stated. The noise grew more closer to the door. She followed his order and went by him. After a couple of moments later, the door exploded into many pieces by dark blue magic. Luna came into the room. When she saw Gin and Spike were okay without any injuries, a smile grew on her face. “I'm glad that you guys are okay.” She said with a relieved expression as soldiers flooded into the room. “We will talk about this situation tomorrow. Our stallion needs our help to dis stress from his work, Gin,” She said with a suggestive tone in her voice after walking to them. The soldiers pretended not to hear that while a red blush slowly appeared on Spike’s face. “I know, Luna,” Gin replied with the same look at him as Luna magically placed Gin’s necklace around its owner's neck. Luna nodded before teleporting herself and them into their bedroom. “Honey, you go ahead to the bathroom due to I need to talk to Gin about something,” Luna acknowledged with a sweet smile. “Okay, “ Spike went to the bathroom to wait on his honeys. “What do you need to talk about?” Gin inquired with a nervous look. “Relax, Gin. We already know that you have been a living nightmare since a long ago. You are the rare ones that are trying to have a good life after escaping from Queen Void. The actual reason that why I approve you to be in our herd. Because my husband is very fond of you, plus, you willingly put your life down for him without any hesitation like me,” Luna replied honestly as she patted Gin’s head with a hoof. “I see. How do you guys know I was a nightmare and about my past?” “We have our ways, sweetie. Anyways, our honey is waiting long enough for us. He is hoping that the living nightmare mare’s love’s rumors are true. The rumors exclaim that their love is the sweetest thing ever.” “Yup, they are true. I will show him tonight,” Gin acquired with a cute giggle as Luna, and she went to the bathroom.
