A young alicorn named Spark and her best friend, Everest go to a school for princes and princesses. Spark's rival, Crescent constantly teases her for her constant failing in class. Fed up with this lifestyle, Spark decides to run away and Crescent follows her. Now the duo has to work together to find a way home. Will they form an unlikely friendship? Or will it turn into something more?
