In Canterlot Target was talking to her brother Green Deadeye where he was in his military uniform looking at a map.

He asked on what she wants but told her that she should be off of her hooves where she's getting close enough to give birth but she told him that the ponies who fought that they're still being treated like dirt and want to be treated like a regular pony.

He asked on that if there's more where she said "Uh... Yeah my husband. He knows that reality isn't fair but he wants to be treated normal. He can't enter a place without being thrown out for real and he's still being spitted upon and when he wants to talk to ponies they just straight up ignore him and so." she said to her bother about her husband.

He told her to thank her husband that Green thanks him for his service where Target told him not his thanks he wants normal ponies thanks where Purple he's just miserable 24/7 but he's only happy when his daughter is around.

He went to go get lunch but his sister took him to Ponyville where they just seen Purple sitting on a granite counter top and with his daughter who's standing on the counter where there both eating Mac and Cheese.

He told her again that little fillies shouldn't be messy where she just burped but the 26 year old stallion just giggled and let his daughter eat in peace.

Target told him to put her at the table this is the 12th time she told him but he doesn't listen to him about that where he's just letting a filly be a filly.

Green talked to Purple where Purple hasn't been home for a year but he still doesn't want to talk about it especially that night when he saw colts and fillies be executed point blank range with TT-33 styled pistols where he has nightmares every night about the war.

They all heard a loud bang where Purple just said "Thank you big brother for helping me putting myself out of my misery." he said while catching his breath.

Base just dropped his shotgun unknown on what he just did where Base said panicking "Purple! Purple! I'm sorry! I didn't mean too! I just don't know on what happened. Please forgive me?" he said to his brother that he's sorry but didn't mean too shoot him.

Base picked up his baby brother and flew him to the hospital where Purple is getting weaker by the second but got him there just in time.

In the bathroom he washed his brother's blood off of his hooves but started to cry at the sink where he never meant to hurt his brother like how he did.

Out in the waiting room he just sadly looked down where he asked a doctor if he could see his brother where the doctor told him he's very critical where it'll take hours if not days to see if he's ready to talk where they put him in a medically induced coma.

Base left where he just gotten a motel room for the week but regretted his decision and what he did.

In the morning Base was highly drunk where around him he was highly drunk.

Didn't help that last night he talked to Blue Sapphire where she's highly pissed at Base for shooting his baby brother but asked on where he is where he told her he's at the Hula motel room nine in Ponyville.

When she asked for the phone number she only heard dial tone where Base hung up not wanting to give the number so she wouldn't call back later and give him a ear full of words on how angry she is but she had to look it up in the yellow pages.

When the pony at the front desk told her it is that motel in Ponyville she just said "Give me your address there." she said giving her the address.

A few days later at the Ponyville hospital Base was in his casual black suit but seen a blue unicorn setting up a vase with carnations, daffodils, hydrangeas, orchids, and peonies where the mare is in pink dress where it's Blue Sapphire of her loving and caring side wanting to have Purple Artist getting better.

She said to Purple "I had a dream last night. Just me and you bought a beach house where our filly just can run around and we can play in the ocean. I still love you Purple please get better soon." she said to him about a dream she had last night where it was just them 2 and there filly can play in the sand and in the ocean.

Several tears ran down her face where she never thought to see Purple in the hospital after getting shot by his own brother close range with a 12 gauge shotgun.

Base came in and sat in the corner where he doesn't want to know on how his wife will take it or how she will but there's noting he can do about it now but hope that Purple get's better soon.

They heard a coughing sound where it's Purple coming too where he's breathing fast but wants to get out of there but Blue Sapphire then Base had to hold him down and get him to calm down where Purple yelled "Get your fucking hooves all of me Charlie! I will never NEVER betray my country you might as well kill me!" he said to them mistaking them for the enemy.

He then said "Get me out of this damn jungle i just want to go home." he said wanting to leave the jungle to go home.

They both were able to calm him down but it didn't help that Purple started to break down crying after mistaking his ex wife and brother as the enemy but they both had to calm him down to make him stop crying but a doctor came in with a syringe, stuck it into the side of his flank where he just went back to sleep.

Blue Sapphire was mad about that of making him relive his nightmares again which he wants to get over where he can't move on of every night he sees friendlies get killed in ways that is unheard of and enemies torturing them like having bamboo sticking through them or slice them with a rusty and dirty knife.

A few days later passed where Purple snuck out of the hospital but traveled to Manehattan as a stowaway on a train and went back to his old boot camp where he and other soldiers not a lot of them even his best friend was there but entered a hanger.

In bleachers on both sides were ponies cheering them welcoming them back to the world of Equestria where the ones cheering them were the ones who supported them but when they returned there wasn't a lot of them that still supported them.

In a chair Scrumptious asked Purple if he's crying where Purple said "No. Stallions don't cry." he said that he isn't.

Scrumptious and his wife Target know that he's about to break out crying of ponies where that's what they wanted to be welcomed back like that.

Green Deadeye walked up to a podium where he said "It is my honor to welcome back all the soldiers, air ponies and sailors who served in Vierhoof. Welcome home to Equestria we know on how badly you all were treated but we all welcome you back after your service." he said welcoming them back home after there service that ended a year ago.

Purple asked his wife on why she brought him here well told him to be here and he commited a crime of escaping a hospital to be here where he made a lot of friends over there who he wishes that they could be here but they can't where there all dead.

Back in Canterlot Target visited her parents where Purple visited the Vierhoof war memorial where a battle he part took it he just said "Sleep tight GI's." he said while staring at a granite wall.

The one's he told to sleep tight were the ones he told to sleep tight are his friends where during the battle for hill 453 Typist Processor he accidentally dropped a bomb right where they were literally wiping out a company of Equestrian soldiers where he killed all but 1 and that 1 is Purple Artist where he hid in a ditch where the shrapnel flew over him.

Purple didn't know on what he saw of ponies mostly 17-19 years old turned into meat for bugs to eat torn to bloody shreds where he couldn't call off the air strikes.

He left where he teleported to Manehattan and sat on the Manehattan beach watching the waves come in and go out but Target knew he would be there but introduced her parents to him where they called her fat not pregnant where her father said to Purple "Hey PFC Why don't you marry my daughter.? She got strong legs and she's strong overall she's marriage material and strong enough to mother a lot of foals right away." he said to Purple to marry Target.

Purple just said neutrally "We're already married and she's already pregnant with her and mines foal or foals." he said that there already married and already pregnant.

On how he said it just rubbed them the wrong way where her parents told her to marry someone else who doesn't have attitude and won't be rude but she told them that the war he was in the thick of it in the war he seen things that no pony should see.

Her father is willing to give him a 2nd chance where the red unicorn sat down next to him but asked if he drinks where Purple told him every now and then but the yellow mare told her husband to take him so he and Purple got up and went to a tiki bar that was in eyesight.

The 2 mares just talked where her mother a yellow mare named "Yellow Happiness" sat next to her daughter and told her to divorce him and to marry somepony else.

She told her no where his first wife went behind his back and married his brother where 3 days after he left for the war again he was well his heart was shattered the mare he dated since high school but met in elementary but loved since he first saw her he was very heart broken when she left him for his brother.

At the Tiki bar Red he's shocked on how much Purple can drink where while on his 2nd one Purple was on his 14th alcoholic beverage where he's trying to drink his memories of the war away where he still thinks about what happened every night he still has nightmares and night terrors.

Red didn't know on how to break the ice where he doesn't want to cause him stress where Red doesn't want to be responsible for making Purple murder everypony in this bar.

He asked if he written to any of his family where Purple's response was "No. Don't know on what to say. I used to write to my sister but her letters came once or twice a week then once every other week then once every other week then once a month then straight up stopped. Never written to anypony else i met my sister in the hospital, beated up her husband who hitted her, he continued to hit her but more badly, i got a letter a few weeks after i went back after my liberty week. The 2 shared some laughs and talked like if they were brothers where he asked Purple if he's looking for work where Purple told him that he is but doesn't want a white collar job but a blue collar job.

He told him that he could be a male stripper where Purple told him not a chance in hell where he would rather be kidnapped by a group of mares and be made there personal bitch for the rest of his life then work as a male stripper but he been thinking about his friend Lieutenant Crusading Skyray she's a cop but she'll get him a job.

Purple just said "Maybe i should go back to Manehattan and finish my career as a fireman? I've just been living off of my probationary firefighter pension of 120 bits a month and your daughter or my cutie wife weekly pay." he said that he should go back to his career in the Manehattan Fire Department.

The 2 stopped drinking but decided to go get a bite to eat where they argued on who was going to pay the bill but Red he paid the bill but Purple left some bits as a tip but the 2 stallions walked down the street and went into a resturant where the 2 gotten 2 different drinks.

Red gotten some soda where Purple got coffee with no cream and no sugar but ordered there food where Purple gotten himself a hayburger with zesty fries but Red gotten himself waffles but soon a pony in a black suit came in where he's the mayor of the city.

He talked to some ponies where he's friendly but noticed that Purple is in his military service dressed where he asked Purple on how was the war where he only said "I once let motherfuckers like you manipulate me to do the dirty work that a normal pony can't understand. While you were getting a blowjob from a 3 bit a hour hooker i was crawling in the mud losing buddies left and right like nothing. I lost my family from the war i can't even look ponies straight in the eyes like how i used to. That's how I'm doing." he said meanly to the mayor of Manehattan.

The mayor didn't know on how to respond to that so he decided to walk away sadly.

The mayor only said "Sorry." but Purple told him that he's sorry that he just been going through a rough patch but told him to sit and let him make it up for what he said where he doesn't want to think about the war but that's the only thing stuck in his head.
