The Slender Mane

It was an average day in ponyville, the sun is shining everypony in ponyville has a smile on their face, and most importantly the cutie mark crusaders were getting ready for their sleepover at Zecora's house in the Evergreen Forest.

"I can't wait for Tonight." Said Apple Bloom.

"Same here" added Scootaloo

"YEAH!, THIS'LL BE SO AWESOME!!!" Exclaimed Sweetie Bell.

"Maybe we'll get are cutie marks by making some weird potions or something" added Apple Bloom.

"What would a cutie mark look like for making potions anyways?" said Sweetie Bell.

The Cutie Mark crusaders began to picture it in their mind, they couldn't exactly visualize it.

"Wait; wouldn't Zecora have a cutie mark of making potions in stuff, that IS her special talent after all" said Scootaloo.

"Does Zecora even have a cutie mark?" asked Sweetie Bell.

They sat in silence, thinking.

Apple Bloom breaks the silence,

"I dunno, I mean zebra's and ponies are different; she MIGHT have a cutie mark."

"I guess we'll just have to wait and see" says Scootaloo.

LATER THAT NIGHT

"Welcome my little ponies" Zecora says as the cutie mark crusaders enter her house.

"Hi Zecora" Apple Bloom says in her southern draw accent.

The cutie mark crusaders looked at Zecora's flank to see if she had a cutie mark; nothing.

The cmc looked at each other in confusion. They waited until Zecora left the room then Sweetie Bell said

"SHE HAS A BLANK FLANK YOU GUYS, A BLANK FLANK!!!"

"Sh, are you trying to make her hear us?" said Apple Bloom sarcastically

"So, what," says Scootaloo "She just doesn't have a cutie mark, I bet Zebra's don't even get 'em anyways."

Zecora entered the room once more,

"I'm back my little ponies" she announced.

In her mouth she carry a bag filled with various items such as, Flashlights, Blankets, and pillows.

"What's all that for?" asked Apple Bloom.

"For these items you see will help later with our story telling, yes indeed."

Storytellin'? Asked Apple Bloom.

Ah, yes. You see you do want your cutie marks, you 3?"

All 3 of the cutie mark crusaders nodded their head, yes.

"If this indeed, why don't you get your cutie marks in telling stories, so frightening?"

The cutie mark crusaders looked over at each other,

"Hm... I don't know" said Apple Bloom. Storytellin' just doesn't seem right for a cutie mark.

And besides, we couldn't all have the same cutie mark, that'd just be weird, ya' see?"

"Aha" said Zecora, oh no no, trust me, the cutie marks of you 3 will not be the same, this is indeed."

"Well, alright then... YOU GO FIRST SCOOTALOO!" says Apple Bloom.

Scootaloo rolled her eyes and then drew her attention to the darkness of the room,

"My story's about Pinkie Pie making cupcakes with Rainbow Dash." says scootaloo.

"Oh like we haven't heard that one a million times" adds Sweetie Bell.

"OH, OH I KNOW!!!, I'VE GOT ONE!!!" says Apple Bloom excitedly

"Go ahead, shoot" says Scootaloo.

"Alright, it's about the scary pony."

"SCARY PONY?!?!" says the other 2 cutie mark crusaders.

"Yes, the scary pony," Apple Bloom replies "Once upon a time, 2 ponies were out at midnight, playing hopscotch when suddenly, they see the scary pony."

Sweetie Bell and Scootaloo both gulp.

"They ran for miles" says Apple Bloom. "They tried and tried, but you know what happened?"

"WHAT?!?!" Sweetie Bell frantically says.

"HE... GOT 'EM"

Scootaloo and Sweetie Bell both yelled in fear, Apple Bloom than began to laugh,

"Y'all should've seen the looks on y'alls face, like there's actually such thing as a scary pony ha ha."

"Alright, alright, settle down my little ponies, Zecora has a frightening tale as well."

All 3 of the cutie mark crusaders set down, ready to listen. Zecora than began,

"My story is of the evil creature, Slender Mane."

"Slender Mane?" Asked Apple Bloom.

"Yes, indeed. The Slender Mane boooooo"

The cutie mark crusaders were all confused, but still listened.

"The story goes that the bad fillies that'd sneak off into the Evergreen Forest would get taken up by the Slender Mane, an evil demonic pony dressed in a dark suit and tie, with a blank face and tentacle-like appendages protruding from his back."

All 3 of the cutie mark crusaders gulp.

"He once came to ponyville and snatched up 3 fillies, going by the names of Jay, Alex, and Tim. They claim of them fighting but nothing worked, and they were never seen again."

"Wow" says Scootaloo, "That's a pretty scary story, I can't wait to tell everypony else."

"ME TOO" Apple Bloom says.

"ME 3" says Sweetie Bell.

"Now, now" says Zecora, "There'll be plenty of time for that in the morning, it's time to rest now."

Zecora turned out the lights and went to bed, thinking about Slender Mane.
