Rainbow Dash said as she flew through the Shadowbolt headquarters to the stunt field. "Gah. Rainbow Dash...you don't have to rush so much." Lightining Dust said as Rainbow Dash arrived. Soarin was already there as well as Wild Winds. "Sorry. I wanted to be early for the first day of my first full week with Soarin here." Rainbow Dash said. "I know you did, but did you have to dash so fast? Your rushing speed gives most pegasi a run for their money." Wild Winds said. "Well Rainbow Dash is able to pull of a Sonic Rainboom." Soarin said. "Hey, I just realized I never asked something: Soarin, are you by chance related to Wild Winds by any chance?" Rainbow Dash asked. "What? No! We never met until Lightning Dash's whole plan to stop Spitfire from using Plan Omega." Wild Winds said. "Yeah. I honestly don't know why Wild Winds also has the last name of winds. I know my family tree." Soarin said. "Sorry. I've been meaning to ask for a while." Rainbow Dash said. "Don't sweat it. I bet there are others who think we are related when I can guarantee you, we're not." Wild Winds said. Rainbow Dash chuckled in response. "Your pretty chill about the 'romance in the ranks' thing." Rainbow Dash said. "That's more so because of my father. He always said..." Lightning Dust began. "Romance can be exist between co-workers, you just got to find the right balance between family and work." Lightning Strike suddenly said as he approached everyone. "Hi dad." Lighting Dust said. Rainbow Dash saluted. "Greeting sir." Rainbow Dash said. Strike laughed. "At ease Danger." Lightning Strike said. "So about the rush thing..." Rainbow Dash started. "Nah it's fine. I remember my first time rushing to meet the love of my life for our first week of work together." Lightning Strike said. "So I can understand your enthusiasm. Much more then you think." He added. "Wait you met Lightning Dust's mother at work?" Rainbow Dash asked. "And then 2 years later, I was happily married to the mare. Another year after, my baby girl was born. So trust me when I say this Danger, I am perfectly fine with co-worker romance. Me and my wife managed to have an understanding when it came to raising our child. Things would've been much better for Lightning Dust if Spitfire's father hadn't mucked things up for me." Lightning Strike said. "But nothing like that is going to effect me and Soarin though...right?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I'm not saying it'll be an easy time, but that's a topic for another day." Lightning Strike said. "After all, your relationship is only beginning." He added. "Your too kind sir." Rainbow Dash said. "I made the rules about co-worker romance being okay for a reason within the Shadowbolts. I wanted my fliers not to be scared to date within the ranks. And would understand if some of them needed a few months to get things ready for their child. And in the cases where their husband or wife comes from outside the Shadowbolts, I wanted their significant other to have free backstage passes. Also telling the media that my fliers are ponies first, celebrities second helps in that case too. Helps the media from objectifying their spouses." Lighting Strike said. "That's way different then the Wonderbolts. The higher-ups didn't care." Soarin said. "But I do. I guess you could say, Rainbow Dash, that it's my way of giving the Shadowbolts my own kind of loyalty." Lightning Strike said. "You've always been the kind of guy who gives back in his own way." Rainbow Dash said. "Well as I've always said, some things never change. But others do." Lightning Strike said. "Others do..." Rainbow Dash said. "Hey...there is something I was hoping you guys could help me with." She said. "Name it." Lighting Dust said. "Your one of us, of course we'll do all we can to help you out with anything you need." She added. "Let me tell you some things then..." Rainbow Dash said. Scootaloo sighed. She wondered when Rainbow Dash would have some free time to train her now that she's part of the Shadowbolts. But she was dedicated. She wanted to fly. And hopefully, Rainbow Dash could help her. "Yo Squirt." Rainbow Dash's voice came from behind the young pegasus filly. Scootaloo turned around and gasped. "Rainbow Dash!" Scootaloo said before leaping into her idol's arms. "Sorry I wasn't by for so long. But I'm here now." Rainbow Dash said. "How did you get time off?" Scootaloo asked. "Didn't exactly get time off. Hop on my back squirt, time for you to meet the Shadowbolts. And an old friend of mine." Rainbow Dash said. "...People who can help." She added. "Well if you say so." Scootaloo hopped on Rainbow Dash's back. "Hold on Scoots." Rainbow Dash said and dashed off back to Shadowbolt HQ with Scootaloo in tow. A few minutes later Rainbow Dash landed right back at Shadowbolt's training area. "This is the filly?" Lightning Strike asked. "Wait...her eye color..." She added. "Whoa..." Scootaloo was in aw of the Shadowbolts. "If she seems a little out of it...it's her first time." Rainbow Dash said, smiling. "It's understandable Danger." Lightning Dust said. "So, your the one Rainbow 'Danger' Dash was talking about. What's your name?" Lightning Dust asked. "My name is Scootaloo miss." Scootaloo said. "Ha. She's got your behavior, but she's young. Sure she's not your little sis?" Lightning Dust asked. "Sometimes, I wish she was." Rainbow Dash said. "It's a close realtive." Lighting Strike said. "Those eyes...it's unmistakable, but the resemblence is quite uncanny. Tell me, little one, your great grandmother, she wouldn't have had been Firefly would it?" He asked. "Yeah. How do you know that?" Scootaloo asked. "Well...then you and Rainbow Dash are closer then you think. Cousins actually. Though your grand parents are half-siblings." Lighting Strike said. "What's that supposed to mean?" Rainbow Dash said. "Means that you and she share the same great grandfather. After his original wife fell to a hydra beast, Firefly was there for your great grandfather, Rainbow Dash. Firefly had a child, and then they had a child, which resulted in Scootaloo here. Which means that I know of her condition, and how to fix it without surgery." Lighting Strike said. "Condition?" Scootaloo asked. "Your wings are a bit small for a filly your age, but I know of a way to make them grow to their proper form and then grow with you as you age. All I ask, is that you trust me." Lighting Strike said. "I trust him Scoots. You can too." Rainbow Dash said. "Alright then." Scootaloo said. "I have a dream to fly, and I'll do what it takes." She added. "Good." Lighting Strike said. "But it won't be easy." He added. "Wouldn't be worth it if it was easy." Scootaloo said with a smirk. "Defiantly related." Lightning Dust said. Shadowbolts/Scootaloo: Drama - Potion Commotion"A Potion?" Rainbow Dash asked. "They are the best to use. I know of the ingredients we must gather. I just have no idea where to find a shaman to brew the potion in question." Lighting Strike said. "Actually, I know where to find a shaman who can get the potion brewed. You all just focus on the ingredients." Rainbow Dash said and then flew off. "How much has Danger been through to know where to find a shaman?" Lightning Strike asked. Rainbow Dash arrived at a hut in the middle of the Everfree Forest, and knocked before entering. Inside was a Zebra Mare the cyan Pegasus knew as Zecora "I see my visitor today is you, but I doubt this is a social cue." Zecora said. "If by what you just said you mean this isn't a social visit then you'd be right. I came by because of Scootaloo and there's apparently a potion that can be whipped up to help her out. I was hoping you'd do the honors of brewing it." Rainbow Dash said. "I personally have never heard of a potion like that, I do hope you haven't been told words that are flat." Zecora said. "Geez...sometimes I don't get your rhyming. I guess maybe I should just bring the person who said they have the formula over." Rainbow Dash said and flew back off. "Wait we're going in there?" Lightning Strike said, as he followed Rainbow Dash to the edge of the Everfree forest. "I know it sounds crazy, but there was this one time me and my friends got affected by a plant called 'Poison Joke' and that allowed us to meet this Zebra shaman. Which is why we're going to the Everfree forest. She lives there." Rainbow Dash siad. "You have a lot to tell me, Danger." Lighting Strike said. Zecora looked over the list of ingredients that Lighting Strike had as he and Rainbow Dash talked. “Where did you find this recipe of mystery? Even I have never heard of such a potion of mastery.” Zecora said. “What’s with the rhyming? Anyways, it’s something from my father’s time. It’s a potion that was used to give a young Pegasus whose around the age range of a colt or a filly with underdeveloped wings their proper wing size and even grows them with the user’s body. There used to be a pony who had underdeveloped wings and could not fly as a result.” Lightning Strike explained. “The potion was made by a shaman and in case the potion was ever needed again, the recipe was kept top secret and passed down through my family.” He added. “So right now the Shadowbolts are gathering ingredients to make this potion for Scootaloo. So please…can you help us?” Rainbow Dash asked. “If this potion’s effects are true, then I shall make it my next brew.” Zecora said. “I know they are true. I was friends with the one it was used on.” Lightning Strike said. Two hours past before Zecora was mixing up the potion in question and Scootaloo was there with the Shadowbolts. Soon the potion was ready. “I just hope this tastes nice.” Scootaloo said, looking at it. “It’s supposed to taste like strawberries.” Lightning Strike said. “Strawberries? I love strawberries!” Scootaloo said before she suddenly chugged down the entire potion. “Whoa…” Wild Winds said. The potion was finished off as Scootaloo let out a very loud burp and suddenly her wings were much more normal size after. “That…was loud.” Lightning Dust said. “Seems the effects were indeed true; now I’m glad it was this brew.” Zecora said. “Uh…” Scootaloo said before she looked at her wings. “Whoa…” She tried hovering in place. She was doing it as easy as she breathed. “No way…” Scootaloo said. “Not exactly flying yet but baby steps.” Rainbow Dash said. “I can’t wait to actually go flying soon.” Scootaloo said. “Because this is awesome!” She added. Rainbow Dash went up to Lightning Strike. “Thanks for helping her. You’ve helped get her one step closer to her dream. That means a lot to me.” Rainbow Dash said. “Think nothing of it. I think once she’s gotten the hang of flying for real, when she’s old enough, she could very well be a Shadowbolt.” Lightning Strike said. “Me a Shadowbolt…I like that idea.” Scootaloo said. “Still have to earn it, but I think we can help get you on the right track to doing so at least.” Lightning Strike said. “Seriously, thank you. This means a lot to me. And Scoots too. Right Scoots?” Rainbow Dash asked. “You bet.” Scootaloo said. Scootaloo/Rainbow Dash/Soarin: Slice of Life/Drama - Family"You two sure do really like one another." Scootaloo said as she continued to practice basic flying stuff. "It's a little mushy if you ask me." Gilda said. Rainbow Dash had asked her over after the whole Griffonstone thing a few weeks ago. "Hey, Soarin really helped me out of a jam, and as you know, loyalty is important to me." Rainbow Dash said. "I guess if some male helped me out of a jam like what I heard could've happened to you...yeah I suppose I'd be pretty grateful too." Gilda said. "Besides, we're not being super ultra sappy about this. And I know Rainbow Dash HATES sappy. Besides, sappy isn't my style." Soarin said. "That's a good thing. Dash needs a Stallion whose romantic in a non-sappy way." Scootaloo said. "Hey! You almost make that sound as if I NEED a stallion in my life." Rainbow Dash said. "Whoops! Not the way I meant that to sound. Sorry." Scootaloo said. Gilda noticed something. "Hey kid, what's this you got stuck in your mane?" Gilda said, ruffling Scootaloo's mane, and taking out a picture of a pony. "Oh her? Mom gave me that photo and I've kept it in my mane whenever I've wanted to go flying." Scootaloo said. "Scootaloo...do you know who this is?" Rainbow Dash asked. "No..." Scootaloo said. "It's Firefly; the first ever captain of the Wonderbolts!" Rainbow Dash said. "WAIT WHAT?!" Scootaloo decided to take another peek. "There's something on the back: Forever in our hearts, Firefly" Soarin said. "I think this is a memorial photo." He added. "But that's not right...my mother and father never said we were related to anyone named Firefly." Scootaloo said. "Hmm..." Rainbow Dash. "You want me to what now?' Twilight asked. "You know how you did that thing where you found out Pinkie Pie was Applejack's second cousin twice removed? I want you to do that again for Scootaloo. And me." Rainbow Dash said. "Well okay. This should not take long." Twilight said. THREE DAYS LATER... "I was wrong, this took longer then I thought." Twilight said, panicking. "Uh...Twi...you lost track of time again." Rainbow Dash said. "BUT IT'S BEEN THREE DAYS!" Twilight said. "No...it's only been three hours." Soarin said, pointing to a nearby clock. Sure enough, it was not three three days, but rather three hours. "Why did it feel like three days?" Twilight asked. "No clue." Rainbow Dash said. "Does that happen often? If not, might need to get that checked out." Scootaloo asked "I see...hmm...I see..." Twilight said, going over her notes. "WAIT WHAT?!" She exclaimed. "What is it Twilight?" Rainbow Dash asked. "If I'm reading this right...you and Scootaloo...are related." Twilight said. "Not really as sisters, more like cousins." She said. "But I've felt like Rainbow Dash is more like my sister ever since the Shadowbolts helped me get up in the air." Scootaloo said, not even realizing she was hovering in place now. "...Whoa...Scoots. Your hovering in place." Rainbow Dash said. "Took me a couple of months after I started flying to be able to do that, but it's only been a couple of days." She added. "How is she flying now anyways?" Twilight asked. "A potion kind of fixed her up; the recipe was held onto for some time." Rainbow Dash said. "Wouldn't she need again when she's older? I've never heard of a potion being able to give a cripple the ability of flight for life." Twilight said. "I'm sure we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Right Dash?" Soarin asked. "Yep. You don't mind, right Scoots?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I'll drink that potion a million times if it means I can keep flying." Scootaloo said. "Heh...yeah your both pretty much cousins. And I know I did my routing correctly." Twilight said. "I doubt you did anything wrong. It's you we're talking about here." Rainbow Dash said. "I agree with Rainbow Dash; you've got the smarts to not mess up." Scootaloo said. "Thanks. Still, you both really do act a lot more like sisters then cousins." Twilight said. "Hey, I may be her cousin, but I'm not going to treat her differently." Rainbow Dash said. "And I'm still going to be as good as Rainbow Dash someday." Scootaloo said. "Defiantly related." Both Soarin and Twilight said at the same time. Author's Note Yes the three days thing was meant to be a joke. Live with it. Rainbow Dash/Soarin: Romance - Dating Dash Basics“Your really going to be taking Rainbow Dash on a date?” Rarity asked Soarin who nodded. “The trick is making it a date that’s not your traditional type. Dash is a mare of action over words. So a flight through the skies followed by a picnic out in an open field is more along the lines of how you should date Dash.” Soarin said. “Yeah that is different then how most like to date.” Applejack said. “Just look at Twilight and Flash Sentry; the two have dated like you’d expect them to have them. And right now she’s just playing the field to see if a certain thing she had is more then just a crush.” Rarity said. “You know Dash though; she’s not the kind of mare that likes that sort of thing. You have to go about dating her differently. She’s a tomboy, yes; but still a mare.” Soarin said. “Ain’t that the truth.” Applejack said. A bit later, Soarin and Rainbow Dash were having a great time flying and enjoying each other’s company. Which did eventually end in a picnic shared between the two of them. “Seriously Soarin, how did you figure out I like a different kind of dating?” Rainbow Dash asked. “You always struck me as a mare who believes actions speak louder then words. I just filled things in from there. Well and…Applejack may have told me that you don’t like the kind of romance your friend Rarity is into.” Soarin said. “I do like romance I just don’t like it being so over the top and mushy feeling.” Rainbow Dash said. “Hey me too. Romance is fine and all, but I am not a big fan for the kind of mushy you’d see in a fairy tail.” Soarin said. “Guess that’s why your such a good stallion for me then.” Rainbow Dash said. “Did any others try to date you?” Soarin asked. “Not really. I was once really thinking about this one other Wonderbolt, Thunderlane, but I found out later already he already was dating somepony.” Rainbow Dash said. “And that would be my friend Derpy Hooves or as she prefers to be called, Muffins. No way was I going to take a stallion away from a friend. So I dropped my attraction to him. The two are married now. It’s unfortunate that I had a rush job at the factory to do at the same time as their wedding. Muffins said it was fine and told me that she and Thunderlane talked and decided that if they have a kid and something happens to them, they want me to look after him or her.” Rainbow Dash said. “Guess that’s where your whole wanting loyalty from your partner comes from.” Soarin said. “Yeah. I should probably see if the two are doing okay at some point.” Rainbow Dash. Suddenly a Pegasus messenger showed up. “Miss Rainbow Dash? I need you to come to Cloudsdale hospital right away; Derpy Hooves is having a child right now.” He said. “Let’s get over there.” Soarin said. “Yeah let’s jet!” Rainbow Dash said and both her and Soarin sped off. Author's Note A bit short, but I did my best to make this as packed as I could. Rainbow Dash/Thunderlane/Soarin: Drama/Slice of Life - Chillin with ThunderlaneRainbow Dash and Soarin rushed to Cloudsdale Hospital, where they encountered Thunderlane and Rumble. "What's he doing here?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I was just coming to see my cousin get born..." Rumble said. "Actually that'd be more like watching your niece or nephew get born." Soarin said. "What's that supposed to mean?" Rumble asked. "He means that because your my brother, that makes you more like an uncle to Derpy's upcoming foal." Thunderlane said. "But I'm like 8 years old bro...I'm more like an older brother then an uncle." Rumble said. "So? I say do the kind of thing you'd do with a sister rather then a niece or nephew. If you feel like your too young to be an uncle, then don't sweat the details." Rainbow Dash said. "I...I see..." Rumble said. "I'm gonna go...color some stuff..." He added and left. "...Hey." Rainbow Dash said, worried Thunderlane would kick her out after the whole thing with the Wonderbolts considering Thunderlane used to be one of them. "Relax Dash. If your worried about me being upset about the Wonderbolts things, don't be. I was already out the door the moment me and Derpy really started to hit things off, and that was a few weeks BEFORE things went down the tiolet for them." Thunderlane said. "I care too much for my wife to continue doing wonderbolt duties. They would've kept me away from the family I was planning on making for myself. Besides, working at the Weather Factory instead is much better for that sort of things. Though I have to wonder why you did what you did to get me a job there." He added. "You've been a real gentlecolt to derpy after her last boyfriend was a pure abuser. And that earns you some major loyalty points with me." Rainbow Dash said. "Besides, I think in a few more years, you could take over as the Weather Factory manager." She added. "You really think I could replace you?" Thunderlane asked. "Hey, you'll have a lot more free time once your in that position. No one will bat an eye if you take a day or two off to make sure your wife and child are doing alright." Rainbow Dash said. "Only reason I'm still doing the job is so someone who I don't trust as much takes over instead." She added. "Yeah I know who your talking about. God I hate that stallion who really thought he had a chance with you before Soarin came along." Thunderlane said. "Am I missing something here?" Soarin asked. "Oh right. You wouldn't know. Apparently, being a hero of equestria got me quite a few new fans. Some who really wanted to...try and romance me. Even though they had no chance." Rainbow Dash said. "Not with the way they were going about it at least. Your different though. You get me." She added. "Only because I actually paid attention." Soarin said. Thunderlane laughed. "Oh yeah, Soarin is defiantly the stallion for you, Dashie." Thunderlane said. "Picked that up from Derpy huh?" Rainbow Dash said. There were only two people who ever called her "dashie" before: That would be Pinkie Pie and her other best friend, Derpy. "Heh. Yeah, she's rubbing off on me." Thunderlane admitted. "Dashie?" Soarin asked, confused. "Derpy's pet name for me. Not sure why Pinkie Pie calls me that but meh...I could care less." Rainbow Dash said. A doctor came in. "The foal was delivered successfully, and your wife is expected to make a full recovery Thunderlane." The Doctor said. "Can we see it?" Thunderlane asked. "Not just me and my brother, but Rainbow Dash and Soarin too? Rainbow's a family friend and...there is something important about this foal I wish to talk with her about." He added. "Well I suppose I can allow it. If it is what I think it is." The Doctor said. "Thanks doc; your a good stallion." Rainbow Dash said and went off with Soarin and Thunderlane. "...Now whatever did my brother see in that mare that wanted him to have her? I just don't see it." The Doctor said. Scootaloo/Rumble: Romance - Rumble's Apology"Where on earth are you taking me, Rumble?" Scootaloo asked the pegasus colt who a couple of days ago, had almost ruined the cutie mark camp the CMC had going on. "Just...a little something to say I'm sorry." Rumble said. "Actions speak louder the words after all. You can take the blindfold off now." He said. Scootaloo took off the blindfold she was wearing and found herself staring at the biggest picnic set-up she ever saw. "You...set this all up just to say you were sorry to me?" Scootaloo asked. "Your other two friends forgave me easily but you would never just accept my word for it. So...I figured I had to do something big to convince you that yes, I am sorry." Rumble said. "Sure I had a little help from my brother in trying to make sure there was as much food as there possibly could without going overboard but otherwise, yeah, I did everything myself." He said. "Are you trying to bribe me with food? It's not going to work." Scootaloo said. "What? No! I'm having a picnic date with you, silly." Rumble said. "Sure it's out of left field but...I really could not think of anything else." He added. "A picnic date?" Scootaloo asked. "Well Soarin is always taking Rainbow Dash out on picnic dates so I figured since you take after RD so much, you'd enjoy a more low-key, not as romantic date too." Rumble said. "Seriously, I am forcing myself to date you. If this were normal circumstances, I would honestly rather get to know you better before I went on a single date with you. But that's not going to happen if you won't forgive me for the camp incident. So I'm forcing myself to go against my own policies to do this for you to show that I am sorry." He said. "...Fine..." Scootaloo said. "I'll see how well this apology date plays out, and then I'll think about forgiving you." She added. Just think on it? Seriously? Rumble thought to himself, feeling dejected. What was I thinking...of course this wasn't going to be enough... He added. The two Pegasi went through the apology date, with Rumble doing everything he could to try and touch bases with Scootaloo but nothing was working. "Rumble, I'm sorry..." Scootaloo said and suddenly put away the food she was eating. "But this isn't going to work. It's going to take something more then this to earn an apology from me. You hurt me and my friends pretty bad." Scootaloo said. Of course it isn't... Rumble thought to himself. "Fine...I'll just make sure you get home safely." He said. "I can fly myself home." Scootaloo said, taking to the air. She then started flying home, but then, Rumble saw something. It looked like somepony launching something at Scootaloo. "! Scootaloo, look out!" Rumble said before he flew off and cut the slingshot off, barely just grabbing the shot in time to save Scootaloo's wings. "Whoa!" Scootaloo said, and grabbed Rumble, the two managed to land nearby. "What the hey?" Scootaloo said, looking at the caught slingshot shot that Rumble grabbed. "I saw somepony...couldn't tell who...firing a slingshot at you...and I just acted..." Rumble said, out of breath. "You...you just saved me." Scootaloo said. "I don't know if you'll ever forgive me, and frankly I don't care, but you don't deserve to get shot at." Rumble said. Suddenly he was tackled by Scootaloo. "So...about that picnic date...think we can have another one tomorrow? Say shortly after class?" Scootaloo asked. Rumble smiled and blushed. "Y-yeah...that'd be great." Rumble said. "Good. And try not to make it so grand standing would you?" Scootaloo asked. She then kissed Rumble's cheek and then took to the skies. "Later Rumble." Scootaloo said and flew off. Rumble just sat there for a while, blushing deeper then before. "She...she actually kissed me..." Rumble said. "I guess...she accepts my apology after all..." He said. "...Though maybe she's done a lot more then that..." He added. Rainbow Dash/Soarin/OC: Adventure/Drama - The Return Part 1Rainbow Dash started to wake up. She was enjoying a nice little nap on a cloud as a bit of a break while she took some time off from Shadowbolt duties to set Thunderlane up as the new front runner to take over Rainbow Dash's position; something that's taking quite a few days to work out all the kinks and red tape. The speedster Pegasus was going to once again show she values loyalty above all else by setting Thunderlane up to become the new Weather Factory manager. However, during her nap, she felt herself get sprayed by something, only to just now wake up; her limbs tied to a bed somewhere. Rainbow Dash was not okay with this in the slightest bit. "Ah good. Your awake." A mysterious male said. A single male Pegasus stallion soon showed up. "It's you..." Rainbow Dash said, recognizing the pony right away. "Bad Storm." The speed pegasus said. "It's been a long time, Rainbow Dash. Too long if you ask me. I returned from vacation to find you dating somepony new, being a shadowbolt, and making someone be the front runner instead of me." Bad Storm said. "Like hell am I going to let all this stand." He added. "What do you think your going to do about it, huh?" Rainbow Dash said. "Quite simply put, I'm going to sex you. But not without first putting your new boyfriend in his place and showing him there's only ONE stallion who should be yours: Me." Bad Storm said. "Your insane." Rainbow Dash said. "Am I? Or am I simply putting two ponies in their place: Under me." Bad Storm said. Soarin suddenly showed up. "Ah good. Your here." Bad Storm said. "You think your going to get away with this?" Soarin asked. "Oh you can only DREAM of doing so. You found my letter at that Shadowbolt HQ right?" Bad Storm asked. "Your seriously thinking you can beat a former wonderbolt in a race? Your crazy." Soarin said. "Time for you and the Shadowbolts to learn there's always someone better then you. We'll race at Rainbow Falls." Bad Strom said. With the Shadowbolts watching as well as Thunderlane, Derpy, Rumble, and Scootaloo, the race got underway with Bad Storm taking an early lead. A lead that was being quickly challenged. The two stallions were neck and neck the entire time, and that did not change after six of the seven laps. At that point, Bad Storm looked poise to DQ Soarin, when Soarin began to actually pull ahead of him. FAR ahead. In fact, as soon as the seventh and final lap began, Soarin was already pushing his speed even more then before. He managed to win out over Bad Storm. "Woo! That's Soarin for you!" Rainbow Dash said, before hugging Soarin; her easily future husband. "What? But how? We were neck and neck for the majority of that race." Bad Strom said. "I'm an endurance flier; I tend to save my staminia for the near end of a race then go super-fast right out the gate. That way, I can catch my opposition off guard." Soarin said. "You...I'LL REMEMBER THIS!" Bad Storm said before taking off. Soarin wanted to go after the stallion but Rainbow stopped him. "Let him go. There's no way he's going to be able to recover from this blow to his oversized ego." Rainbow Dash said. "...Your right." Soarin said. Bad Storm found himself kicking the grass in a field outside the boarders of Ponyville. "Some gamble. Maybe I should've known better anyways to go up against a former wonderbolt turned Shadowbolt. They're not considered elite fliers for nothing." The stallion said. "Tried to go up against one of the Shadowbolts on your own and found out you stood zero chance, didn't you?" A female voice said. "...Yeah. You could say that. I was simply trying to show those Shadowbolts there's someone better than; maybe get the team disbanded and get the Wonderbolts back in the process maybe. I was simply trying to put them all in their place." Bad Storm said. "The perhaps, you and I can help one another. I want the Wonderbolts back on top, and want to show those Shadowbolts what for once and for all. So, what do you say: Are you willing to help me out?" The female voice asked. "You bet I am. But who are you?" Bad Storm said. Suddenly from behind a nearby tree, Bad Storm recongnized the pegasus mare who just came out from the shadows. "You know full well who I am." The pegasus mare said. "Spitfire, former captain of the Wonderbolt Squad; someone who wants some good old-fashioned revenge and maybe even get her job back." She added. To be continued... Shadowbolts/Wonderbolts/OC: Drama - The Return Part 2 (Death inside)Author's Note WARNING! This Chapter includes death and is the only chapter to do so. Yet, as soon as this chapter goes up, only then will the rating of this story change. Shadowbolts/Wonderbolts/OC: Drama - The Return Part 2 (Death inside) Two weeks have passed without much incident. The only thing that happened during this time seemingly was that Scootaloo and Rumble grew much closer together. However, under the noses of the Shadowbolts, Spitfire had worked to remake the Wonderbolts from the ground up. She needed the perfect excuse however to begin her revenge plan. Bad Storm provided Spitfire with just that. And the worst part is, Bad Storm had no idea that Spitfire was simply using him. When she was done with him, she was going to toss him aside. So imagine Lightning Strike's surprise when the Shadowbolts were being challenged outright by the new Wonderbolt Squad; called the Neo Wonderbolts. "So, Spitfire is making an out of nowhere attempt. Guess we'll have to be ready to take her down once and for all." Lightning Dust said. "You got that right. We have three days to prepare ourselves for whatever Spitfire can throw at us." Wild Winds said. "Let's rock their socks off!" Rainbow Dash said. "...Uh...Rainbow, we don't wear socks..." Lightning Dust said. "I know that. I just felt like saying that for some reason. Weird." Rainbow Dash said. "And I thought your friend Pinkie Pie was the random one." Soarin said. The next three days saw the Shadowbolts training fiercly; they weren't going to lose if they could help it. "Dash and the others really don't want to lose, do they?" Rumble asked Scootaloo. "No. No they do not." Scootaloo said. Soon it was time for the big competition, which was split into seven events, one for each member of the two teams. Bad Storm was the one who set everything up ironically enough. The goal was to be the first team to win four of the seven events, with the seventh event being used as a tiebreaker round just in case. That round was a race between Spitfire and Rainbow Dash; Spitfire had demanded to race the rainbow maned pegasus as a rematch from the equestria games. Wild Winds had managed to win the first event against Fleetfoot, but Frightnight; one of the other shadowbolts; had lost the second event to Bad Storm. This pattern would continue for a while, where it ultimatly would come down to the final event. On the mark of go, the two speed Pegasi raced down the track. Rainbow was managing to keep up effortlessly with Spitfire the entire time. Spitfire was not about to lose though, and she started speeding up as the last lap approuched. She thought she was going to win it and put Rainbow Dash in her place. Unfortunatly for Spitfire, a sudden crack in the air happened before a massive BOOM! noise could be heard as Rainbow Dash burst through the speed barrier and suddenly performed the Sonic Rainboom out of nowhere, leading to Rainbow Dash's total vitory. "I...I don't understand...how? How could I have lost?" Spitfire asked. "I'll easily tell you how: I have loyalty to those I work with. Unlike you. In fact, Lightning Dust got a hold of something special JUST for Bad Storm. You really didn't learn anything the first time, did you?" Rainbow Dash said. Lightning Dust smiled and took out a laptop which played a video very similar to the one Spitfire made for Rainbow Dash only this time directed at Bad Storm. "YOU!" Bad Storm said. "YOU TRICKED ME; USED ME EVEN!" He shouted. Suddenly out of nowhere a monster appeared. "...WHAT ON EARTH IS THAT DOING HERE?!" Bad Storm exclaimed. The wonderbolts and Shadowbolts (minus Spitfire) worked together to fend off the monster. ...Unfortunatly, their victory came at a cost: Wild Winds had been struck and hit hard. By the time anyone had noticed, it was too late as Wild Winds ended up going splat against a mountainside. Everyone present minus spitfire had a funural for Wild Winds a few days later. The former wonderbolts then decided to switch alligences, and joined up with the Shadowbolts, and as for Spitfire... Well no one really knows what happened to her, but maybe the future holds the answer? Shadowbolts/OC: Slice of Life - Epilogue 2Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.Scootaloo: Slice of life/Drama - Beginning Flight Goals"So...I'll be able to fly now?" Scootaloo asked, once everyone returned to Shadowbolt HQ. "You will, but you'll have to put forth that effort yourself." Lighting Strike said. "You'll let everyone help her...right?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Scootaloo has been wanting to fly for the longest time. It'd mean so much to me if her dream came true." She added. "I don't see why we shouldn't all help." Lightning Dust said. "It would be great to get her up in the air at the least, but anything beyond that, well that's on her own skill alone." Lighting Strike said. "Well I really idolize Rainbow Dash. I really want to become as good as her one day." Scootaloo said. "So, your making a plan to become a Shadowbolt, huh?" Wild Winds asked. "If that's okay..." Scootaloo said. "We'll see where you fall after you get enough skill once you start flying." Wild Winds said. "I'll make sure to be skillful enough to get in. Just you wait." Scootaloo said. "That's what I've liked about you, Scootaloo; always willing to go above and beyond whatever you put your mind too. That's why I made myself your surrogate big sister." Rainbow Dash said. "Heh...I like that fire in her. No doubt she'll be joining us, huh Danger?" Lighting Dust asked. "Danger?" Scootaloo looked towards her idol. "Lightning Dust's nickname for me." Rainbow Dash said. "It suits you." Scootaloo said. "Well duh! Of course it does, Fire." Lightning Dust said. "Fire?" Scootaloo looked around. "Seems you've got your own now too, Scootaloo 'Fire'." Rainbow Dash said. "Why 'Fire' though?" Scootaloo asked. "Because you have some sort of fire in you when you put your mind to something." Lightning said. "She's not wrong." Wild Winds said. "Well...better not let that go to waste then!" Scootlaoo 'Fire' said. For the rest of the day the group was helping Scootaloo get up in the air, which she was able to and was properly flying shortly after. Scootaloo did have a new goal: To gain enough skill to join the Shadowbolts. She was going to work extra hard to make that dream a reality. Scootaloo thought unlike the Wonderbolts, the Shadowbolts would have no problem remaining on top. ...She should've been expecting something to happen that could threaten the future of the Shadowbolts. Author's Note A bit short chapter, but I really couldn't add much to this. I thought I did as much as I could though. And yeah, I didn't put Scootaloo's Shadowbolt Nickname in the Epiologue of Where Loyalty Lies - Fimfiction for a reason. Rainbow Dash/Soarin/Thunderlane/Derpy Hooves: Drama/Romance - A Foal of MuffinsThe group headed into Derpy Hoove's room, where she was cradeling a baby unicorn. "A unicorn...?" Thunderlane asked, confused. "Ugh...the cakes having a pegasus and a unicorn was bad enough. Muffins, do you have unicorn genes in your family?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Actually my father was a Unicorn." Derpy "Muffins" Hooves said. "Oh..." Thunderlane said. "But what about your mother?" He asked. "Pegasus. I've met her before." Rainbow Dash said. "Ah." Thunderlane said. "Now Thunderlane, just because our child is a unicorn doesn't mean we can't love her all the same." Derpy Hooves said. "I know dear. I just would've liked to teach our baby how to fly." Thunderlane said. "Who knows love? You one day still might." Derpy Hooves asked. "You think she could become an alicorn someday?" Soarin asked. "You never know." Derpy Hooves said. "Princess Twilight was a unicorn before she became an alicorn." She added. "Yeah but Twi had to earn that." Rainbow Dash said. "I know. So whose to say my daughter won't earn it? She has just as good of a chance to earn it as everyone else." Derpy Hooves said. "Try not to spoiler her." Rainbow Dash said. "So Rainbow Dash, I heard you and Soarin were dating." Thunderlane said. "It's nice to know you have a good relationship with him going. Because as you know...there's something I promised you. Muffins too." He added. "Can't believe you still remember." Rainbow Dash said. "All the same, if something ever happens to us, will you take care of our baby girl?" Derpy Hooves asked. "Of course, got a name for her yet?" Soarin asked. "Dinky Thunder Muffins, or just Dinky T. Muffins for short." Derpy said. "You were always the clever one." Thunderlane said. "It's why I fell in love with you." He added. "Hey Thunderlane, thanks for taking care of my friend for all this time. You just make sure to always treat her right, and we won't have problems." Rainbow Dash said. "I wouldn't dare dream of it. I'd sooner feed myself to a hyrda before I let myself incur the wrath of Rainbow Dash." Thunderlane said. Everyone in the room shared a good long laugh. Meanwhile... "Just...just a few more contacts..." Spitfire said. She was with the only other four former Wonderbolts sending out invitations to a selection of well distinguished fliers. "And then...revenge will be ours." Spitfire said. Author's Note I know it's a short chapter, but I think that cliffhanger is a nice place to end off on.
Shadowbolts: Romance/Slice of Life - Family"Gang way!" Rainbow Dash said as she flew through the Shadowbolt headquarters to the stunt field.
We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.
Scootaloo: Slice of life/Drama - Beginning Flight Goals"So...I'll be able to fly now?" Scootaloo asked, once everyone returned to Shadowbolt HQ.
