Fluttershy's eyes snapped open with a gasp. She couldn't remember what had happened before falling unconscious. She tried to brush off a lock of mane from her face giddily but realized her hooves were tied together by a rope, refraining her from doing so.

She shook her head vigorously, becoming aware of where she was; a dimly lit room. She'd never been to a strange place like this before.

“I have to get out of here.” she reflected apprehensively, struggling to break free. Thankfully, the ropes around her hooves weren't too tight so she managed to loosen them in no time.

Fluttershy got to her hooves weakly, surveying her surroundings. Was that blood on the wall or red paint? She didn't want to find out. She scrabbled for a door knob in the dark chamber, fear growing stronger within her. She pushed open a metal door feebly and poked her head out. The dim light of the room illuminated outside just enough for her to make out a hallway with a few doors. If she was going outside, she needed a better light source.

She scanned the room for any useful tools. Her eyes were adjusted to the dark now so it didn't take so long for her to spot a flashlight by a bed nestled at a corner. She prayed it had batteries and flicked it on. She took hold of it with her teeth and let its light illuminate the path ahead.

"How convenient." she pondered without questioning further.

She tiptoed out of the room and entered the hallway. Craning her neck side to side, she picked the path to her left. Careful not to create too much noise, she tried a few doors, they were all locked. She took a few deep breaths to steady her heartbeat and continued her way to the end of the corridor.

She came across another door and tried it tentatively. It came open with a screech. Before she could move, she noticed something; the sound of distant footsteps. She held her breath and listened intently, trying her best to keep the flashlight in her mouth. She didn't hear anything else. The place was too quiet it was easy for her to hallucinate.

She took a wobbly step inside the room she'd just opened and stopped dead, dropping the flashlight the moment its light showed what was inside. She stifled a scream. Twilight was there. But she didn't have the look Fluttershy had known for years. She was strapped to a board, her head tipped to the side limply. Her hollow eye sockets were darker than the hallway outside. Her horn appeared to be broken and her whole body was covered in gashes.

Fluttershy looked away and grabbed the flashlight with her shivering hooves. She staggered back when another corner of the room was illuminated by the light.

"Rainbow dash?" she whispered in disbelief, her eyes fixated on what was nailed to the ceiling.
It was rainbow dash, though her rainbow-colored mane and tail were tainted by dried blood, taking away what this Pegasus was known for.

Fluttershy took another step back when she noticed Rainbow dash's abdomen was cut open, revealing her innards. Some parts had fallen to the ground. Some still hung loosely in their place. Fluttershy realized she was hyperventilating in shock.

"this must be a prank!" she thought distractedly, walking backwards to the door, not taking her eyes off of what she hoped were mannequins.

She bumped into something or someone. Before she could register, she was hit in the head and dropped to the floor. Her vision blurred and before she lost consciousness the only thing she heard was an echoing giggle of somepony she knew very well...
