Wolokai is a nice, quiet colt living in the north side of Ponyville with Vinyl Scratch and Octavia. He's famous around the town as 'The Writer', the sole colt who produced the Leap of Faith and Pinkamena series that has taken the town by storm. Behind his smile, under his skin however...a dark depression racks at his very soul. Gripped by the crushing emotions of Pain, Fear, and Loneliness, Wolokai can't come to terms with mortality, unwilling to succumb to the greatest foe in Life: Death.

Nothing however, can prepare Wolokai for the horrifying nightmare that has yet to come, when a darkness beyond the edges of Equestria threatens to destroy everything he knows and holds dear to his heart by plunging him into the place he fears and dreads the most...his own MIND!

Can his best friend Doctor Whooves figure out a way to reach the colt before it is too late?
