Cadance The Crystal Princess

Princess Amore thought quietly to herself. She was still in the hospital, sitting next to Shining's sleeping form. Both Cadance and the Prince's parents had fallen asleep either next to the patient or on the couch. She thought about the happy times to steer herself from the current time.

Crystal Empire, Many years before King Sombra's arrival

It was a radiant day in the Crystal Empire, the kind that seemed to make the crystal buildings shimmer even more brightly. The air was filled with an electric excitement as crystal ponies moved to and fro, a general excitement about as thoughts turned to Princess Lauren Faust coming for diplomatic relations between the empire and Equestria.

"Amore, please behave yourself when Princess Lauren Faust arrived. We want to make a good impression." Princess Aurora Diamond warned her young daughter, who was nervous.

Princess Aurora Diamond was a fully grown unicorn with a moderate cobalt blue mane, vermillion coat, a pair of green eyes and a cutie mark of a crystal heart with wings on its sides.

“But, I have never heard of Equestria, let alone the name Princess Lauren Faust! How can you not be nervous about this!?” Amore exclaimed as she shifted in herself in her chair next to her mother's throne chair.

Aurora could only give a light-hearted chuckle at her daughter’s flustered features before smiling warmly at her. “Being nervous will not help you. Just take a few deep breaths and you will be fine, my dear."

Amore stopped and slowly took a few breaths. After a few minutes, she was calm.

"Better?" Aurora asked, prompting her daughter to nod at her with a smile.

The doors of the throne room was opened, with a crystal guard walking in and saluting them before relaxing her stance.

"Your highness, Princess Lauren Faust has arrived, along with Princesses To Be Celestia and Luna." The guard said.

"Princesses To Be Celestia and Luna?" Aurora asked with a confused look.

The guard nodded her head. "Yes, they are Princess Lauren Faust's children."

"I see. Let them in." Aurora said as Amore squealed when she heard that there were new friends to make.

The guard saluted and made her way toward the doors before opening them.

Princess Lauren Faust, a fully grown alicorn with moderate amaranth mane, light goldfish gray coat, a pair of moderate artic blue eyes and a cutie mark of inkwell with quill, entered the throne room. Behind her were younger Celestia and Luna, both alicorns.

Both Aurora and Amore stared at the group in shock, seeing that the three ponies in front of them have horns and wings before Aurora shook herself out of shock.

"Welcome, Princess Lauren Faust, to the Crystal Empire. I am Princess Aurora Diamond and beside me is my daughter, Princess Amore." She introduced herself and her daughter to the princesses.

Lauren smiled. "Thank you, Princess Aurora Diamond. And please, just call me Lauren."

Aurora smiled back warmly. "Very well, Lauren. Do call me Aurora." She glanced at the two young alicorns. "And these two behind you must be your children."

"Yes. Aurora, meet Celestia and Luna. Celestia and Luna, meet Princess Aurora Diamond and Amore." Lauren introduced.

Both the young alicorns shyly waved her hooves while Amore grinned and waved excitedly at them, prompting both Aurora and Lauren to slightly chuckle.

"I have heard great things about you. I too hope that this may lead to better things between us in the future." Aurora stated.

Lauren smiled. "Me too, Aurora. Shall we begin?"

Aurora nodded her head before turning to her daughter. "Amore my dear, while we are discussing the future between us, why don't you give Celestia and Luna a tour of the empire, if that's alright to you, Lauren?" She asked.

Lauren glanced at both her daughter and Amore before smiling. "Well, I don't see no reason to do that."

Amore squealed while Celestia and Luna breathed a sigh of relief. Amore got off her chair and led both young alicorns through the throne doors before closing them behind her, leaving Aurora and Lauren alone in the throne room.

A minute of walking through the hallway in silence past by before it was broken by Amore.

"So, what do you think of the empire? Amazing, isn't it?" She excitedly asked, causing the blue alicorn to reflectively flinch while the white alicorn shyly smiled.

"Yes, it's... it's amazing... and very crystally..." Celestia nervously replied.

Noticing both alicorns' nervousness, Amore calmed herself down. "Sorry, I didn't mean to make you two nervous. I was just excited to see new friends, let alone to actually see alicorns."

Luna slowly looked at Amore. "It's... it's alright..."

Amore nodded before glancing at their wings and horns. "It must be challenging, learning to use both your magic and your wings."

"You could say that. Mother want us to use our magic for good." The white alicorn replied while rubbing the back of her head with her hoof.

"You two are lucky. My mom doesn't want me to do any spellcasting or anything else that I might do to accidentally cause damage or blow up the empire." Amore twirled a hoof in the air.

“She seems kind of paranoid to stop you from doing any spellcasting." The blue alicorn stated.

“Perhaps. But she might have a good reason to be.” Amore said.

Celestia raised her eyebrow. “What do you mean?

Amore blushed in embarrassment. “Oh, there was an incident. It involved losing control of my magic and shattering the Crystal Heart."

Both alicorns seemed rather confused. “Wait what? What do you mean by any of that?” Luna asked.

“Nothing!” Amore quickly stated while her face blushed even brighter red.

Both the alicorns just stared at her for a full minute before they smirked.

"Remember what I said about how our mother would taught us how to use our magic for spellcasting and our wings to fly? Well, my sister and I have been practicing one of the flying method. Want to see?" The white alicorn excitedly asked, prompting the blue alicorn to look up in excitement.

“Sure.” Amore nodded. “Let’s see what you two have got!”

Both alicorns nodded and spread their wings, flapping them until they hovered above the floor.

“Alright, here we go!” Celestia said before she and her sister took off into the air.

They soared through the air in the palace while Amore watched them with sparkling eyes.

They flew for only two minutes before Luna started to lose control, smashing into her sister before crashing together into one of the hanging drapes hung in the ceiling.

“Um… help?” Both alicorns squeaked in embarrassment.

Somehow, they managed to tangle themselves together with the hanging drape they crashed, leaving them suspended in the air as they tried to free themselves.

Amore erupted into a fit of giggles that sent her falling to the floor.

"Yeah yeah laugh it up…” The white alicorn groaned.

Amore managed to bring her giggles under control and shot the alicorns an apologetic smile. “Sorry, but that was too funny!”

"It's ok, but can you help us out?" The blue alicorn asked, her face still bright red.

"OK! I will help you out." Amore answered.

Amore lit up her own horn and grabbed onto Celestia and Luna with a levitation spell. With both their efforts and after about a minute of trying, both alicorns tumbled to the floor.

“T-thanks.” Luna thanked as she got up while her sister laid on the floor.

Celestia looked up to see a hoof outstretched to her, Amore was offering to help her up. She accepted the help gratefully.

“You're welcome.” Amore smiled. “I like you two. Do you want to hang out after I finish giving you two the tour?”

Both alicorns smiled back at Amore. “I would like that."

Present day

Amore sighed, smiling as she remembered the good old times she and her friends spent together after both the Crystal Empire and Equestria had been allied together.

Her musing was interrupted when the door was opened by Princess Luna, causing Cadance, Twilight Velvet and Night Light to wake up and Amore to look at her.

"Greetings." The lunar princess started. "I apologized for interrupting you, but I need you and your daughter to follow me. There's something you need to see and hear."
