Mason The Human
Dinner party
Previous ChapterNext ChapterMason sat there in the white void. Older Mason’s tired voice echoed with profound wisdom. "Mason, in this vast multiverse, our existence is not just infinite; it's an anomaly."
Mason furrowed his brow, intrigued. "What do you mean?"
Older Mason responded, "Quantum mechanics teaches us that reality is a spectrum of possibilities, and you, my friend, are a living embodiment of an anomaly. Every version of you who enters this multiverse is or becomes an anomaly.”
Mason pondered this idea. "So, I'm not an anomaly, but a probability now?"
"Exactly," older Mason affirmed. "Anomalies disrupt the natural order and become too strong for each universe to handle, but probabilities harmonize with the cosmic multiverse in order and can grow to make the universe stronger. Be a quantum probability, Mason, navigating the universe with purpose."
Mason found himself in the captain's room in his bed, and he started remembering the talk he had in the crows nest with Celestia on his boat called the S.S Nauti-Buoy with Princess Celestia across him with the ethereal waters of the Celestia Sea. The moon hung high in the sky, casting a gentle silver glow upon the waves, creating a breathtaking tapestry of moonlit magic.
As the boat gracefully sliced through the shimmering sea, Mason and Celestia occupied the crow's nest, perched high above the world. The rhythmic sound of waves and the occasional creaking of the boat's timbers provided a soothing soundtrack to their conversation.
Celestia, her ethereal mane flowing in the soft breeze, turned to Mason with a smile that reflected the luminance of the moon above. "Mason, what is your plan against Sombra’s group?"
Mason, his eyes reflecting the moonlit sparkle, nodded and relaxed. “We need a dinner party in a couple of days."
Celestia gave a confused face, and she spoke with a warmth that transcended the fantastic moonlit night. "I’m not following here. Is there some training trick to this or something?”
Mason, feeling the enchantment of the moment, took a deep breath. "Princess, this is no trick. We need time to develop a plan, and to do that, we need time to relax and recover."
Celestia turned to him, her eyes filled with curiosity. "Why a dinner party and in a few days from now?"
Mason hesitated momentarily, then spoke sincerely, "Celestia, since I had gotten to Ponyville. It was about getting a house for you and me to hang out. Then the letter arrived, and after the news Twilight gave me. I’ve been doing everything I can to make you and me work. So I want a dinner party with all my friends and their loved ones. That’s the first thing I would like."
Celestia's eyes held a profound understanding, and a gentle smile played on her lips. "Mason, I’d love to have dinner with your friends and their loved ones. We could probably draw up the battle plans later.”
Encouraged by Celestia's response, Mason continued, "Being able to hear you say that. God, I do. I love you and would love to show you around the Griffin Kingdom."
Celestia's eyes sparkled with emotion as she spoke softly, "Mason, I’d love to see the Griffin Kingdom with you.”
Mason, roused from a deep sleep sighed in the cozy hammock that cradled him within the confines of his captain's quarters, opened his eyes to the soft creaking of the boat swaying with the gentle rhythm of the sea he yawned and stretched his arms and legs like he always does and in his stretch his arms and legs popped in relief, his gaze wandering across the room adorned with nautical trinkets and the soft glow of lantern light flickering through the portholes, and as he swung his legs over the side of the hammock, he couldn't help but smile at the embroidered map hanging on the wall that marked the extraordinary journeys he and his friends had undertaken together; however, as he took in the room's quaint charm, a melody reached his ears, a chorus of hearty voices singing sea shanties with infectious enthusiasm, prompting him to step onto the weathered floorboards with curiosity tugging at his heartstrings, and as he pushed open the door, the scene that unfolded before him was nothing short of surreal - the once-rescued group of girls who Mason had risked his life to save are now adorned in pirate attire, belting out sea shanties with gusto, their laughter echoing through the wooden corridors of the boat, each member fully immersed in the joy of their impromptu maritime revelry, and Mason, momentarily taken aback noticed his friends joining in the camaraderie of the shanties that had blossomed among the eclectic group, the shared experiences on the tempestuous sea now transformed into a lively maritime broadway show, yet feeling a slight unease at being the unexpected spectator every single one of them was singing and dancing only to notice Mason standing there with an unimpressed expression on his face and he slowly closed the door to his room, hoping to forget the scene before stepping into the deck of his boat he went to his desk and sat down.
The door to Mason's captain's quarters swung open with a creak, revealing a motley crew of Soarin, Big Mac, Grill Cheese, Stygian, Spike, and Discord, each wearing expressions that ranged from sheepish to downright embarrassed as they shuffled into the room, the lingering sea shanty melody still playing in the background.
Mason, reclining in his chair with a quizzical expression, raised an eyebrow at the peculiar sight. "Alright, what's going on?"
Soarin scratched the back of his head nervously. "Uh, we might have gotten involved in a bit of a, um, theatrical situation."
Big Mac, known for his brevity, added with a hint of embarrassment, "Eeyup, we ended up in a weird situation. In all honesty, it was my sister and her friends who started it."
Grill Cheese chuckled nervously. "Well, you see, we were celebrating our successful rescue, and one thing led to another, and before we knew it, we were in a sea shanty performance with the girls we saved, and Discord added fuel to the fire."
Stygian interjected, "It was unexpected, but the applauses of both Princesses were overwhelming, and we weren’t allowed to say no."
Spike said, "Yeah, it was fun, but we didn't plan for this."
Discord, always the naughty one, grinned widely. "I’m not apologizing for forcing some of you guys into dancing and singing. It was fun and funnier to watch.”
Mason, despite the perplexing scenario, couldn't help but smirk at their collective embarrassment. "So, let me get this straight. You all performed sea shanties in a Broadway show with the people we just saved?"
The group nodded, exchanging glances as if expecting Mason to unleash his fury. However, Mason surprised them with a calm response. "Well, as long as it was harmless fun. We have a reputation to uphold as the rescuers of unlikely places, after all."
Spike, visibly relieved, spoke up, "Glad you're not too mad, Captain."
Mason chuckled. "Mad? No, I’d like to light this ship on fire and take all of you. However, we've got to teleport everyone to the Griffin Castle in a few hours. We've got to do a few things, and I need everyone ready for the day. The sea waits not even for performers of impromptu sea shanties."
The crew exchanged glances, their embarrassment becoming a shared mix of confusion and flustered gazes. Mason, always practical and focused on the mission, was not one to let a detour interfere with their responsibilities.
Soarin, straightening up with newfound determination, spoke, "You got it, Mason. We'll be ready."
Mason nodded, the smirk still playing on his lips. "Good. Now, get ready. The Griffin Castle awaits, and I don't want any lingering Broadway surprises."
As the crew filed out of the captain's quarters, Mason leaned back in his chair, shaking his head with a bemused expression. With a sigh, he prepared for the teleportation.
On the Malum side
The eerie atmosphere atop Mt. Everhoof set the stage for a meeting between the unlikely alliance of Sombra, Libitina, Tirek, Cozy Glow, Chrysalis, Adagio, Aria, and Sonata, as they gathered with a shared purpose – to claim the bewitching bell and harness the power of the elusive Lake of Chaos.
Teleporting to the lonely mountain peak with anticipation, the group met an unsettling silence. The bell and the lake, the objects of their desires, were conspicuously absent, leaving a sense of frustration lingering in the air.
Tirek, his voice echoing through the desolation of the cave, growled, "Where is the bewitching bell? And where is this supposed Lake of Chaos?"
Chrysalis, her eyes gleaming with irritation, hissed, "This is an outrage! We had an agreement where is it that which you promised us."
Cozy Glow chimed in with a pout, "Yeah! We were supposed to have ultimate power by now!"
Libitina, standing beside Sombra, exchanged a knowing glance with him. Sombra, maintaining a calm demeanor, stepped forward. "Calm yourselves. Plans change, and we shall find an alternative route to achieve our goals."
Adagio, raising an eyebrow, questioned, "An alternative route? We had an arrangement, Sombra. What happened to the bell and the lake?”
Sombra, his horn emanating a dark aura, explained, "Sometimes, the magical artifacts we seek have a will of their own. It seems they've eluded us for now, but there are other means to harness the power we desire."
Aria, her patience waning, snapped, "What kind of nonsense is this? We need power, not excuses!"
Libitina, in a calm yet commanding voice, intervened, "Perhaps it's time we consider a more traditional approach. There are ancient rituals that can tap into the very essence of chaos and darkness."
Sonata, tilting her head, asked, "Rituals? Like, with candles and robes and stuff?"
Sombra nodded. "Precisely. We will channel the chaotic energies directly through a traditional ceremony. The magic of Mt. Everhoof responds to such rituals."
Adagio, though still skeptical, considered the proposal. "If it leads us to power, we can entertain the idea."
Libitina continued, "The ancient rites are potent and carry risks, but the rewards are equally great. The mountain will respond to our intent, and we can draw upon its chaotic energies."
Tirek, crossing his arms, grumbled, "Fine. If this is the only option, let's proceed with your archaic rituals."
As the group prepared for the ritual, assembling in a makeshift circle on the mountain's summit, Sombra and Libitina took charge. With each participant contributing their magic, the atmosphere crackled with dark energy. Candles flickered, and arcane symbols appeared on the ground as they chanted ancient incantations.
As the ritual climaxed, a surge of dark, chaotic rainbow energy enveloped the group. The mountain responded, echoing their intent with a resonant hum. The air crackled with newfound power, and the essence of rainbow chaos seemed to embrace them.
When the ritual reached its climax, The Siren sisters began to emit cold air. They had certain features resembling the windigos. Cozy Glow started changing into an older mare, and she began growing fangs. Her eyes changed from pink to blood red, and her wings became vampiric. Tireks body started changing to have multiple animal body parts, and as he felt the pain of another head growing out of his neck, he appeared to have grown a chimera tiger head. Chrysalis felt her horn split into two halves, and a third started forming in the most blood-curdling scream. The three horns smashed together, and her body where the holes in her legs began filling. She started growing spikes on her wing tips, and the mashed tri-horn started glowing a green neon glow, and the group stood amidst the remnants of the magical ceremony, a renewed sense of strength emanating from each participant.
Chrysalis, feeling the newfound power, smirked. "Well, it seems this archaic method worked after all."
Sombra, his eyes gleaming, nodded. "Indeed. Sometimes, the ancient ways hold the key to unlocking the most potent magic."
As the group descended from Mt. Everhoof, the air around them buzzed with the lingering effects of the ritual. The bewitching bell and the elusive Lake of Chaos might have eluded them, but in the ancient rites, they had found an alternative path to harness the chaotic forces they sought. The alliance, forged by necessity, emerged stronger, armed with a newfound understanding of the dark and mystical power given to them by a powerful and very evil Goddess. Libitina, smiling, knew precisely what she was doing. The only thing she needed was for Mason to become an anomaly so she could escape from this universe and get back to herself in the dark multiverse.
On the Melior Optimus side
The Griffin Castle, perched on the precipice of what used to be a cliff and now had bountiful farmland and tons and houses; the view greeted Mason and his companions—Stygian, Grill Cheese, Big Mac, Spike, Soarin, Twilight Sparkle, Luna, Celestia, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Flutter Shy, Discord, and his son Chaotic with the majestic sweep of its stone spires covered in runes and the proud beat of wings as Griffin subjects, their feathers adorned with intricate patterns, offered a regal welcome, their talons tapping respectfully in a rhythmic cadence as they bowed before the returning King.
Mason entered the castle and ascended the throne with a mixture of nostalgia and responsibility; those around him felt the weight of the Griffin Kingdom resting upon his shoulders, and as he looked out upon the grand hall adorned with tapestries depicting the historic alliances and triumphs of the Griffin race, a sense of purpose stirred within him, the echoes of the past intertwined with the present, and the once-forgotten air of authority surrounded him.
The Griffins, their loyalty undiminished by the passage of time, gathered in the grand hall, their gleaming eyes reflecting trust and admiration for their returned sovereign, and as Mason surveyed the assembly with a nod of acknowledgment, a hushed silence fell over the stone walls with glowing runes of magic, awaiting his words, and with a voice that resonated with authority, Mason addressed his subjects, expressing gratitude for their steadfast allegiance and recounting his arrival to the Kingdom and his desire to make a difference and lasting impact upon the Griffins of this great Kingdom.
With a determined gaze, Mason formally announced, “My Griffin people, it is time to raise the barrier to this once-peaceful land and prepare for the coming dark war! Our enemies are playing devious and dangerous games, messing with entities of an evil origin and this great and newly blessed kingdom. That is why I helped improve the castle with R.E.M. and made technology that no other Kingdom or empire could match. We are a proud race. We have the brass and courage to fight, and it’s the moral right to fight against those evils in our sight. So I know it will be tough, and these times to prepare it will scare you and make you fear. But that’s what the enemy wants is for us to fear them, be scared of them, but I want you to know that we shouldn’t. They are cowards and nightmares, false gods of fake origin. You guys know what we do to the fake idols and charlatans of this world?” the Griffins listened with a mixture of concern and readiness, and as Mason's speech ended with the question, the crowd fell silent, and that’s when they noticed Masons group step out from behind his throne.
Stygian stood by Mason's side, offering a supportive nod to the Griffin citizens, his calm demeanor reassuring in the face of looming uncertainty. Grill Cheese, the Martial Arts chef, watched animatedly, his charisma adding a touch of fun to the tense atmosphere.
Big Mac, known for his stoic presence, Took his buster Sword and Stabbed the ground. An aura wave moved through the crowd, emphasizing the need for unity and collective strength. Spike, the loyal dragon king, showed his complete transformation and breathed rainbow flames to show his strength to stand alongside the Griffins. At the same time, Soarin, the daring General, inspired confidence. He taught the Griffins how to train their wings for more aerial combat and maneuvering and the Griffin Kingdom's undeniable advantage in the skies.
As Mason asked in a louder voice, “WHAT DO WE DO TO FALSE GODS AND FAKERS!?” The Griffin Kingdom, in unity, said, “WE’LL KILL THE FALSE GOD IN FEARLESS ANGER AND MAKE THE REAL ONE SORT THEM OUT!” the Griffins standing firm as they spoke, the grand hall erupted into a symphony of determined chatter. With the relentless beating of wings, the Griffin subjects prepared for the war on the horizon. Mason, surrounded by allies who had become family, felt the gravity of leadership settles upon him, the castle walls echoing with the collective resolve to defend their home.
The Griffin in the throne room walked out and flew out in motivation and strength from Mason's speech. The Group stood there watching the Griffins leave, and Mason sat confidently on the throne. Celestia walked out of the side room just as the main door to the Throne room closed. She ran to Mason, jumped on his lap, and asked, “Did you write that, or did Stygian write it?”
Mason smiled and, with confidence, replied, “That was something I kind of just said from the heart.”
Mason and his friends entered the Griffin Castle's grand dining room; Mason and his trusted companions, including Stygian, Grill Cheese, Big Mac, Spike, Soarin, and Discord, found the atmosphere heavy with anticipation; the long table, adorned with polished silverware and elegant china plates, served as a backdrop for their severe discussions about the impending war. Mason, his presence commanding attention, addressed his friends with a solemn tone, laying out the strategic plans and emphasizing the importance of unity in the face of adversity. Stygian, ever the strategist, contributed insights on magical defenses and battle tactics, while Grill Cheese, his chef's mind temporarily subdued, focused on logistical aspects, ensuring the Griffins would be well-fed and prepared. Big Mac, stoic as ever, offered practical solutions, and Spike shared his people would join in the battle as well. Soarin added an air of optimism to the grim discussions. Around the table, their friendship forged in the crucible of challenges, Mason's group delved into the war plans, determined to face the impending conflict with solidarity and resilience. That’s when Discord was about to inform the group about something. He stopped and looked strangely in the specific direction, and that’s when Mason joined in the odd feeling as well. Discord looked at Mason, and Mason realized they would need something more mythical and divine for the enemy now.
The dining hall opened. Luna and Celestia, all the girls, walked in, and that’s when Rainbow Dash sat next to Soarin, Rarity sat next to Stygian, Pinkie Pie bounced into the seat next to Grill Cheese, Apple Jack sat next to Big Mac, and Flutter Shy sat next to Discord, except Twilight sat with Luna and Celestia sat next to Mason. As they sat down, they waited for the guys to keep talking. Mason stood up and said, “Hang on! Spike, follow me?”
Spike stood up and started following and said, “What can I do for you?”
Mason responded, “I need you to go back to the Dragon Kingdom to get Queen Ember so we can have her here to talk about the Dragon Kingdom’s battle plans in this war.”
Mason opened a portal to the dragon lands. Before Spike could speak, Mason pushed Spike into the portal, and then Spike started flying to the Dragon Kingdom Castle.
Queen Ember is sitting on the throne as another dull day passes. She laid her Dragon eggs no less than a week ago and already wants more of Spike's kids. She wished Spike would appear in front of her so she could throw herself onto him.
Spike opened the throne room door, and in an instant, Ember locked eyes with Spike's eyes; in almost a split second, she was flying at him in her complete dragon transformation, going at top speed to glomp him. Spike fully transformed in that split second and a blast of air and dust. As the dust settled, Spike didn’t move an inch, and Ember was in a passionate embrace and French kiss.
Spike parted from her lips and smiled gently, and Ember gave Spike sultry eyes and asked, “You here for more fun, my dragon king?”
Spike wanted to pull back and said, “After ok! I promise I’ll fuck your brains out, but we need to go to the portal opened by Mason to have a war strategy against the evil army.”
Ember rolled her eyes and replied, “Fine, but I’ll be bored of it in seconds!”
Spike, still standing tall, bent down into Ember's ear and whispered, “I’ll make it worth your while, my sexy dragon queen, but I need you on your best behavior got it?”
Queen Ember, flustered, had her head down and nodded obediently. Spike smiled and whispered, “That’s my good girl.”
Mason stood to the side of the portal with his arms crossed and tapping his foot. As soon as Mason sighed, Spike walked through with Ember and in their royal regalia and. Mason smiled and bowed in a happy tone said, “Dragon Queen and Dragon King, welcome to the Griffin Kingdom, and as the Griffin King, I hope the royal Master suit is to your liking, and I placed a sound barrier and fireproofed the whole room for you guys.”
Spike, in a regal tone, replied, “Thank you, Griffin King Mason. I only hope we don’t ruin the room too much.”
Mason stood and said, “Follow me to the Dining Room to discuss the war plans and other matters.”
Mason led the way, and as he opened the door to the Dining room Table, he wrote a rune. Everyone at the table, including himself, had the regalia, and kingly/ Princessly clothes magically appeared on them. Mason, holding the door open, said, “Now present the Dragon Queen Ember and Dragon King Spike!”
The group at the table stood up and bowed for them. Ember and Spike, now with flustered and happy faces, bowed to the others at the table.
Mason walked to his chair next to Celestia. Mason gestured to Spike and Ember to sit, and they sat down at the table.
Mason in the dining room, the table transformed into a canvas for intricate runic symbols, glowing with ancient magic that pulsed with an ethereal brilliance, and as the table was transforming Twilight, Celestia, Ember, Luna, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Flutter Shy, and Apple Jack all looked surprised. Mason and his brothers unfazed by the transformation of the table, his eyes ablaze with the luminous script before him, began articulating the complexities of their war plan, using the runic information system as a conduit for conveying strategic insights.
With each runic glyph, Mason unfolded a tale of objectives and potential challenges, the magical symbols seamlessly interacting to illustrate the fluid dynamics of their proposed maneuvers. Stygian, with his deep understanding of magical intricacies, contributed insights to enhance their defenses and added information about specific aspects they might see. Grill Cheese adapted his energy to align with the mystical atmosphere, focusing on the logistics of supplies and sustenance and showing the points of front lines and what may be needed for those on the battlefield.
Big Mac, the embodiment of stoic strength, traced his fingers over the runes, offering grounded solutions that resonated with the arcane script and showing the points of interest where power struggles may lay. Spike, the dragon king, marveled at the integration of magic into their war strategy, drawing on experiences from his experience in these situations to complement the runic projections.
Soarin, the army general, added an air of optimism to the magical tapestry, his enthusiasm mirrored in the shimmering symbols that danced across the table. As Mason intricately weaved the runic narrative, the group delved into the war plan, each symbol contributing to the cohesive understanding of their impending challenges.
However, as the runic display reached its zenith, Mason paused, his gaze shifting from the luminous glyphs to his companions, a thoughtful furrow creasing his brow. It became apparent that the strategies they had laid out would work for the regular soldier and be sufficient against a regular enemy army. Still, Sombra's dark forces were going to play unfairly. Mason explained that they needed more than conventional tactics; they needed assistance from mythical and godly realms.
Mason looked at Discord and nodded that’s when Discord opened a portal, stuck his hand in, and pulled out four crystals with runes on them. Discord tossed it to Mason, and in a split second, he caught them.
Mason looked at the table and replied, “With these, in a few days, I’m going to summon a special kind of holy power and magic to fight the evil Sombra, and Libitina created, and when I’ve summoned them, they will bestow a magic weapon, essence, or skill for you guys and that will give you the upper hand against the villains we will face. Ok, but first we will hold a dinner party in a day, and you are probably wondering why?”
Mason paused and then stated, “I want us to relax I can’t say the same for Twilight friends or Ember, but Stygian, Grill Cheese, Soarin, Big Mac, Spike, Discord, and I have been doing this and that, and I can say this with absolute certainty that we haven’t had any time to truly relax and recover so that’s what we are going to do.”
The group stayed silent and looked at Mason. That’s when he looked at the group and said, “I will have you guys take your leave and enjoy some time off from this moment on, so go and relax.”
Everyone stood up and walked out of the room except for Mason and Celestia as the group left.
Mason looked Celestia in the eyes and said, “I hope you don’t mind if we sit here and talk for a little while. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this situation?”
Celestia gently smiled and said, “Of course, I would like to talk briefly before you show me around the castle.”
Mason stayed silent as Celestia pondered his plan and asked, “Why did you wait so long to use those crystals?”
Mason immediately replied, “I was waiting to see how Sombra’s group was going to get stronger, and Discord just got access to his special vault in the chaos realm.”
Celestia nodded and said, “Why did you suggest that everyone else needed more power but you didn’t?”
Mason retorted, “That’s because I’m strong enough to feel their presence where I am, but you guys aren’t, so I need you prepared and safe.”
Celestia said, “And what is it that you can sense that me and my sister and my student can’t?”
Mason responded, “When you were stuck in your room, could you feel or sense anything that was going on, or were you in the dark?”
Celestia retorted, “I’ll give you that one. But why is it so important that we are all safe?”
Mason said, “I don’t want to lose you guys or you specifically because you are my better half.”
Celestia, blushing, replied, “I doubt that; I mean, it’s more like you’re my better half if anything, and you saw something in those six than I ever did.”
Mason frowned and said, “Most of everything I did was because of my future self, and in all sense of the word, I was supposed to follow everything he did, but he stopped me so that I could be here with you guys in this universe.”
Mason held eye contact with Celestia as he finished his statement, and at that moment, Celestia asked, “Why would he do that?”
Mason replied, “Because he has suffered for so long and just wanted to be with you and his kids, but he was forced to suffer alone, and in the end, he saw you in your final moments. I don’t want that. I want to be with you here for as long as possible.”
Mason looked deeply into Celestia’s eyes and said, “Every single version of me becomes an anomaly in every single multiverse. No, if ands or buts, every version of me I don’t want that I want to stay in the realm of probability in this universe.”
Celestia, listening thoughtfully, replied, “What if it’s your destiny or fate that you have to become an anomaly, and not to become it is like rejecting a part of yourself?”
Mason activated the table and showed how every single Mason exists in their own body of power outside time and space in realms of subspace or dimensional cracks. Mason said, “If this is the definition of my destiny or fate, I’d gladly reject it for you.”
Celestia stared at how every version was a single strand; not a single version had other branches. Celestia, saddened to see that, asked, “Every one of your other versions is a line, not a single one of your branches! why?”
Mason replied, “Because they are anomalies of the multiverse, they can’t interfere with the multiverse only exist in it, and sadly that’s how they want it. They suck, and not a single one of them understands what it is we need in life.”
Celestia looked at Mason curiously and wanted and asked, “Oh, and what’s that?”
Mason moved closer to Celestia to the point his lips were on hers and responded, “They need love.” Mason kissed Celestia after saying his piece, and their lips locked. Mason felt static in the air, almost as if something was happening.
Mason backed up and looked around the room, and that’s when a hole opened. A man stepped out and looked around, only to see Mason and Celestia looking at him.
Mason felt a tightness in his chest as if the person he was looking at was not to be trusted. The man looked at Mason and greeted, “Hello! My name is Vincent. Nice to meet you.”
Mason replied, “Cut the crap! Vincent, why are you here?”
Vincent responded, “I noticed you were not on the anomaly level and came here to see why?”
Mason retorted, “I don’t need to be an anomaly to beat the villains, and I don’t want to be forced to exist like my other versions.”
Vincent smugly said, “I wouldn’t be so sure, Mason. The way this multiverse works is different than the one you originally lived in.”
Mason asked, “What are you talking about?”
Vincent replied, “This multiverse doesn’t take kindly to foreign entities such as yourself, and it will eventually become unhappy with your existence and expel you to the dimensional cracks where all versions of us end up.”
Mason retorted, “That’s if I become an anomaly like you guys. I’ve seen how this plays out, and you guys show up and tell me a different story when I become an anomaly.”
Vincent, frowning and realizing Mason knew more than he was supposed to, asked, “How would you know about the multiverse?”
Mason responded, “Tell Aaron that if he comes here, I’ll kill him myself because I refuse to follow in the footsteps of fate and will carve my path in this existence.”
Vincent was scared of the fact that Mason knows who Aaron is. Vincent teleported back to where he came from. Mason looked back at Celestia and said, “Let’s go and walk around the castle. So I can show you around.”
Celestia was a little nervous at the portal after it disappeared and then smiled at Mason. Celestia retorted, “Are you sure because that guy seemed pretty strong?”
Mason hugged Celestia and replied, “Don’t worry, we’ll be safe as long as I don’t become an anomaly like those other versions.”
Celestia broke away from the hug. She followed Mason to explore the castle.
On the Malum side
Libitina stood before the portal opened by a woman who looked like Starlight Glimmer. Libitina asked, “How’s Aarons's side of this universe? Jenny.”
Jenny reported, “This version of Mason is refusing to become an anomaly and knows that as long as he doesn’t become one, the multiverse won’t kick him out into the dimensional cracks.”
Libitina, pissed, punched the wall and said, “If he doesn’t become an anomaly, then I can’t escape this universe and enter the dark multiverse to be with our group.”
Jenny responded, “We found a way for you to leave, but it requires certain things.”
Libitina looked at Jenny and smiled as she walked to her and replied, “Go on. I need the details of these things you speak of!”
Jenny said, “You need the six crystals that emit harmonic energy and an artifact that can observe anything and everything, and the last piece is a dark heart crystal.”
Libitina responded, “So I need the Elements of Harmony, the Crystal ball, and Sombra’s heart; I have all those so I can leave now!”
Libitina snapped her fingers, and a guard ran into the room. Libitina requested that the guard fetch the Crystal Ball, Sombra’s heart, and the Elements of Harmony. The moment she finished her sentence, the guard ran out the door, and in two minutes, he came back with the Crystal Ball and Sombra’s heart.
Libitina looked at the guard waiting, and the guard immediately said, “The six harmonic elements are missing.”
Libitina was pissed. Remember, Mason was in the castle and disappeared just as fast. She realized something and said, “Go to the quarts mine and find the slaves.”
The guard ran to the mine. Libitina sat in her chair, waiting for the guard to come back. She sat there with Jenny, waiting for the guard quietly. Jenny was unhappy with the silence and was about to speak only to hear Libitina shush her.
The footsteps were loud and erratic as they approached the door, and in a hurried voice and heavy breathing, the guard said, “The enslaved people are missing. Every single one of them has disappeared!”
Libitina, hearing the news, levitated the guard, and In a macabre scene, unseen forces seized the guard, lifting them into the air with a sinister power. The air thickened with an ominous energy as the unfortunate guard writhed in the invisible grasp. With a relentless descent, the unseen tormentors pressed relentlessly, contorting the once-living form into a grotesque amalgamation of shattered bones and mangled flesh. The air echoed with the sickening symphony of snapping sinews, a perverse ballet of agony. Shadows cast by this spectral brutality stretched like claws across the twisted tableau, leaving behind a haunting reminder of the evil forces that dared to defy the boundaries of mortal suffering. Libitina, with a clenched fist, opened her hand and said, “Jenny, head back to the boss and tell them I’ll be there no matter what.”
With a scared look, Jenny hesitated at the precipice of what she saw. Nervousness gripped her as she looked back at Libitina and kept walking to the pulsating portal, its ethereal glow casting flickering shadows on her apprehensive features. Each step echoed in the bedroom chamber as Jenny plunged into the cosmic gateway. The portal shimmered, closing behind her, leaving only a lingering silence and the spectral traces of a plan yet to be seen and a scheme yet ventured.
Back on the Melior Optimus side
Rainbow Dash, walking with Soarin, asked, “So, what have you been doing for the past few years here at the Griffin kingdom?”
Soarin smiled gently and replied, “I was a Military general and adviser. I trained the griffins and showed them the ropes in how to use Equestrian maneuvers and fix the speed problems they had.”
Rainbow Dash was surprised by the information and responded, “That’s insane did you also teach them how to do sonic booms?”
Soarin laughed, waved his hand, and said, “It’s disadvantageous for griffins because they have sensitive eyes and ears. The only way for them to fix that problem was Mason’s invention for his people and his kingdom.”
Rainbow Dash replied, “Impressive! It feels like there’s nothing Mason can’t do.”
Soarin retorted, “That’s not true. Most of the time, it’s us putting in the work to help Mason. For the most part, our group of guys are more like brothers. We rely on each other’s strengths and weaknesses.”
Rainbow Dash stopped and asked, “Was the only thing you did training? Because if so, that doesn’t sound like fun.”
Soarin got closer and responded, “When Mason found me, I was drunk and on my way to being retired as a wonder bolt, and now look at me. I have speed no other anthro can hit, and now I have a unicorn horn and have what most dream of.”
Rainbow Dash got closer and whispered, “What else did you train?”
Soarin went in for a romantic kiss and separated after several minutes. Soarin smug remarked, “Why don’t I take you to my room, and I show you my training regiment.”
Rainbow Dash and Soarin ran past Pinkie Pie and Grill Cheese to Soarin's room.
In the kitchen
Grill Cheese replied, “I’m serious, Sweetie Pie! I want to marry you and have a family.”
Pinkie Pie smiled, and tears ran down her cheeks. She responded, “You mean it! My cheesy sandwich, I know we were talking about it several months before you left, but I didn’t think you were listening.”
Grill Cheese retorted, “Why would I ignore the most beautiful anthro I have ever seen in my entire lifetime.”
Pinkie Pie jumped onto Grill Cheese, hugged him, and kissed him repeatedly while tears were rolling down her face.
In the gallery room of the castle
Rarity walked with Stygian, and he stayed silent, unable to ask what he wanted to ask. Rarity looked at the architecture of the Castle, and an idea for a new clothesline came up, and that’s when she started writing and drawing her designs on a notepad.
Stygian worked up the courage to ask, “What are you drawing?”
Rarity looked over at Stygian and replied, “Well, the artistic expression of this Castle has inspired me to create a beautiful dress matching this castle’s fabulous design.”
Stygian, feeling more confident, remarked, “The start to it looks rather beautiful. If you wore it with your hair in a ponytail upsweep bun hybrid, you’d make all those upper-class nobles jealous of your beauty.”
Rarity asked, “What about the colors of the dress? It wouldn’t match my coat?”
Stygian replied, “Why not make two dresses, one that matches your coat and the other that matches the coat of who you want it to match.”
Rarity looked at the dress, smiled, and said, “What about the gems I wanted to add? What would you find interesting if I were to add gems to it?”
Stygian explored the drawing and responded, “That would work, but if we should think about small crystal raindrops that sprinkle the lower waist to ankle region and have the crystals refract light in a rainbow form so it gives a more vibrant yet mature standard for it.”
Rarity smiled and nodded as she was interested in the multiple different ideas. Stygian thought of another idea for the dress and said, “You could also color gradient the dress to give it a more subtle color scheme and enhance the look.”
Rarity, with a subtle blush and smiled, asked, “What are you doing later?”
Stygian thought about it for a second and replied, “Why? Do you want to meet up later? Because I’m cool with that.”
Rarity brightened and responded, “Great, my room is on the east wing of the Castle building with the vase by the door.”
Stygian excitedly said, “Ok, I’ll be there by 6.”
On the west wing side
Big Mac at the west wing of the Castle with Apple Jack went into the room and asked, “You sure it was him when you guys were kidnapped?”
Apple Jack replied, “I remember what I saw. It was that bastard Sugar Belle. When we were at the barn trying to hide. Sugar Belle yelled out loud that we were in the barn.”
Big Mac pissed, punched the wall with fury, and tried to hold himself together. Big Mac breathed in and breathed out. That’s when Apple Jack, tearing up, grabbed Big Mac's shoulder, and when he looked at Apple Jack, he realized there was more to the story.
Apple Jack said, “Mac, there’s a reason why Granny Smith didn’t come with us.”
Big Mac responded, “What do you mean?”
Apple Jack replied, “Sugar Belle killed Granny Smith before Apple Bloom.”
In the room, shadows danced across the walls as Big Mac, consumed by an inferno of rage and fury, stood in eerie calm. His eyes, once windows to a gentle soul, now harbored a storm of resentment. The air thickened with unspoken turmoil as his clenched fists betrayed the storm within. Silent yet loud, the atmosphere echoed with suppressed thunder. His every breath seemed to carry the weight of a thousand storms, and the unsettling calm that enveloped him was a deceptive prelude to the impending storm. It was a haunting serenity, masking the turbulent chaos beneath the surface.
Apple Jack looked at Big Mac’s back. He listened to his silence, albeit the rage could be felt from him as if it was oozing out of him like a gross cross mix of molten metal and burning flesh slowly spreading and swirling around into a furious molten metal meat tornado.
Big Mac calmly said, “Can you give me some time to be alone with my thoughts and maybe get Mason? I need to talk to him about something.”
Apple Jack left the room, and before he could blow up he heard Apple Bloom still in the room, hidden behind the door. Big Mac, not trying to get angry at Apple Bloom, said, “I don’t want you to be here right now, Bloom.”
Apple Bloom responded, “Granny Smith told me something she wanted to tell you but knew you would never hear it from her.” Big Mac looked at Apple Bloom, and that’s when Apple Bloom continued saying, “In the twilight of my days, my precious grandson, know that love transcends time and distance. Though you were away, your essence lingered in my heart. As I embark on my final journey, I carry our shared moments like a lantern. Your presence, now returned, is my tender farewell..”
Big Mac heard her final words, hugged Apple Bloom, and cried, unable to hold back the tears. Apple Bloom started crying as well, to the point Big Mac knew that he needed to hold it together and make those who hurt his family pay a price most would never forget.
In the king-sized guest room
Spike was trapped in the king's guest room on the bed, with Ember going to town on him in her complete transformation. Spike, trying to hold himself together, couldn’t anymore and went into his complete transformation and pinned Ember to the wall with her arms held by Spike and her legs folded up behind her arms. Spike thrust in and out of her like a well-oiled piston jackhammering in and out of Ember's love cave. Spike slowed down, moved Ember, and put her on the bed to change positions. Spike lay on the bed and was forced to open his mouth because Ember wanted to taste Spike more.
Spike, covered in his and Ember’s sweat, felt the pressure welling up. He knew he wasn’t going to last much longer. Ember felt the same pressure as Spike, and that’s when they both sped up to the point they were moving their hips in the minute that passed. Spike had to release just as much as Ember did, and that's when Spike shot and Ember released. They felt the heat coming off of each other. Spike felt the wet heat hitting his crotch and hip as Ember felt Spike's love liquid hitting her womb.
Ember could feel it. She knew she was pregnant again. The first two eggs were in the nest, and two more would come. Spike, still inside Ember, breathing heavily, said, “Holy hell! I’ve been pent up since I left, and let me tell you. Playing footy with me didn’t help in that meeting.”
Ember giggled and, heavily breathing, replied, “I can’t help it. I want to be around you to the point that you being gone or out of my sight is painful.”
Spike, covered in sweat and lying on the bed, watched Ember lay next to him, and at that moment, he responded, “I feel the same way, and trust me when this fight ends. We’ll be together until death do us part. I’ll never leave your side.”
Ember blew a heart-shaped flame out her mouth and replied, “That will be the happiest day ever!”
On the other side of the castle
Mason sat at the desk in his room doing paperwork with Celestia lying on his bed, just feeling the warmth and scent of Mason’s musk. Mason, working on papers, stopped for a second and said, “Now I know what it feels like to be you.”
Celestia giggled and responded, “Not so fun doing paperwork when you want to have fun, huh?” Mason looked at some of the laws that the griffins wanted to pass and, reading something that made him frown, stood up, walked to the door, and opened it. Celestia watched in surprise and waited to ask what he was doing.
Mason waved a guard over to his room and said, “Goleta, bring me Peaty from the law division and tell him it’s an order from the King!”
Mason returned to his desk and sat down in his seat, slumped in it tired. Mason breathed in and out heavily and responded, “If you are going to ask me, it’s about this law. It looks fundamentally right and sound, but when put into action, it’s wrong on many levels.”
Celestia walked over to Mason, rubbed his shoulders, and said, “Not that easy is it to rule a kingdom?”
Mason chuckled and replied, “No, it was easy in the first year because I was so busy putting everything back together and fixing everything that I left the law stuff to Stygian because he was so good at it.”
Celestia was about to say something only to hear the knock on the door, and before she realized Mason had put a rune on her that made her invisible to everyone except Mason.
Mason responded, “Come in.”
Peaty opened the door and asked, “What did you need my King?”
Mason answered, “Have a seat, Peaty, and I’ll be brief; this is about the law you sent to my desk. I understand that this law would fix the economic structure and regulate the financial system, which could start worsening the economy. But it could also ruin the economy differently, such as reducing production and increasing unemployment. We need insurance and incentives to make our industries competitive.”
Peaty, shaking in fear, replied, “But I was inspecting the financial and insurance laws that were going to be implemented, and it seems that the money we have would run out completely in the third quarter; I was number crunching and realized that the money was going to run out soon.”
Mason took out a piece of paper and started number-crunching the amount of money they had and needed. Mason felt Celestia’s hands rubbing Mason's shoulders and slowly moving to other parts of his body. That’s when he felt her sit in his lap hugging Mason, and that’s when he thought of her licking and nibbling his ear.
Mason pretended to act normal, finished crunching the numbers, and said, “You're right about the finances, Peaty. But the law you want to implement will damage the economy, so how about this? Why don’t we implement mountain mines for precious metals and minerals? Then, we can create a science division of our government to create infinite energy. I also want you to be the head of the financial division of our government.”
Peaty excitedly responded, “Oh, Thank you, my King! I always wanted to be a financial advisor. I won’t let you down, King Mason!”
Peaty stood up and held out his claw hand. Mason, still being straddled in secret, stood up and shook Peaty’s claw hand as Peaty left the room. Mason, holding a blank smile, wrote a rune to soundproof the room and lock it. Mason’s blank smile mask started cracking; Mason deactivated the rune on Celestia, who was still straddling Mason and licking and nibbling his ear lobe while whispering, “You taste so good, I can’t get enough of you. I think I’m addicted, not just your scent but the feel of you.”
Mason pulled Celestia off of his chest with a blank smile. Mason held Celestia by her hips; Mason brought her to his face to the point both her snout and his nose were touching and said, “I’m going to break you and make you grab lighting.”
Celestia playfully retorted, “Is that what you call that dick of yours?”
Mason laid Celestia down on the bed, gently got closer to her lips, and responded, “No, but for tonight, my pent-up energy is going to shock you and make it this night electrical.”
Mason stopped Celestia from saying anything more when his lips met hers. Celestia forced her tongue into Mason’s mouth for Bill and coo. Mason started massaging Celestia’s ass, and as Mason was about to move his hands elsewhere, there was a knock on the door.
Mason separated his lips from Celestia, who was looking at him, wanting more. Mason looked for love and wanted to ignore the knock; Mason looked guilty and then felt Celestia touch his cheek and said, “It’s okay. It seems important.”
Mason went to the door and dispelled the rune on the room as he opened the door. Apple Jack, Twilight, and Luna were all together. Luna asked, “Is my sister in your room because I couldn’t find her in the room you set her up in?”
Mason opened the door more comprehensively, and Luna saw Celestia sitting beside Mason’s desk. Celestia greeted her sister by asking, “What is it, my little sister?”
Luna could sense a bit of sadness and pent-up lust coming from Celestia and said, “Well, I received a message from my informant in Canterlot.”
Celestia stood up and walked out the door, but before she did, she looked at Mason and said, “I hope we can continue the discussion we had before the interruption.”
Mason, saddened, replied, “I’d love to if we didn’t get interrupted so much.”
Celestia smiled and walked away with Luna and Twilight. Mason watched them as they walked down the hallway and turned. Mason, in sexual frustration, asked, “What do you need, Apple Jack?”
Apple Jack, snickered, said, “Big Mac needs you. I’ve seen that face, and I know what it means.”
Mason left his room, walked to Big Mac’s room, and retorted, “What the hell does that mean?”
Apple Jack responded, “You're frustrated. Sugar cube and in the sexual variety.”
Mason took a deep breath and calmly said, “It’s that noticeable, huh?”
Apple Jack responded, “No, but I reckon Luna did it intentionally to make you both sexually frustrated as a prank.”
Mason, trying to change the subject, asked, “What’s wrong with Big Mac, and why can I feel sadness oozing out of him from here?”
Apple Jack lowered her hat to cover her face in a somber tone and replied, “Granny Smith has passed away in front of little Bloom. She was killed by Sugar Belle, Big Mac’s sweetheart of a couple of years.”
Mason looked sad and said, “Even in the shadows of mortality, the light of resilience flickers, reminding us that the essence of life transcends the fear of being extinguished. In the grand theater of existence, death casts its impartial shadow, indifferent to our roles. The world, a stern director, shows no favorites in the unfolding drama of mortality."
Mason made it to Big Mac’s room. Mason watched Big Mac crying and hugging Apple Bloom. Mason knocked on the open door and watched Big Mac turn around and stand up. Mason said, “We can’t win every battle. But the war is what matters. I need you to remain strong and calm to fight properly. Can you do that for me, Big Mac?”
Big Mac, with tears running down his face and hiccuping, replied, “I..hic…I Ca.hic..can try but no promises….hic.”
Mason opened his arms, and at that moment, Big Mac hugged Mason.
Later in the day, in the dining hall
The castle's dining hall was a grand tableau of refined extravagance, its stone walls echoing the hushed conversations. A majestic oak table, polished to a radiant sheen, extended through the hall's center beneath a cascading chandelier. The air carried the heady scent of culinary marvels, an olfactory prelude to the awaited visual feast. Sixteen seats, draped in sumptuous velvet, awaited guests for a regal celebration. Each place setting was an elegant study, with silverware meticulously arranged and crystal goblets catching the ambient light.
As the attendees settled into their ornate chairs, the dining hall came alive with animated exchanges. The table, resplendent with a bounty of delights, beckoned to be savored. Roasted game birds, their skin bronzed to perfection, nestled beside platters of jewel-toned vegetables and cascading pyramids of fragrant rice. Exquisite desserts adorned the table's end, an array of decadent confections promising a sweet climax to the gastronomic journey. The sixteen seats, now filled with friends and family, and in the regalia and finery, witnessed the unfolding culinary spectacle—a celebration of abundance, camaraderie, and the artistry of the castle's culinary artisans.
In the intimate ambiance of the dining room, Mason's gaze swept over the assembled faces, each carrying the weight of shared experiences. Raising his glass, he honored the intricacies of life—a blend of sweet joys and bitter hardships. "To life's symphony, with its crescendos of joy and poignant notes of struggle," he toasted. The clinking of glasses resonated as a collective acknowledgment of the shared journey. Mason's words, a poignant melody, celebrated the good times and the strength found in facing adversities together. As they sipped, the group embraced life's complexities, united in their resilience to navigate its beautiful and challenging terrain.
Mason sat down and felt Celestia’s hand hold his. Luna smiled and asked, “So, sister, when do you and Mason plan on getting married?”
Mason smiled gently, and the group went quiet. Mason was about to respond, but Celestia said, “Well, sister, I’d love to marry Mason. But I believe we still haven’t got the chance to go on a date yet. I could ask you the same thing, sister. You’ve been dating my student for a while now, and I haven’t seen any movement in your relationship.”
Mason spoke with Discord and Flutter Shy, asking, “So Discord, what were you and Flutter Shy doing?”
Discord replied, “I took Flutter Shy and Chaotic out to check out the town and all the griffins shops that opened when we were training.”
Mason responded, “That’s great. Any places I should check out?”
Discord said, “Yes, this nice pastry place called Gilda’s Gold was very nice to visit.”
Spike looked at Soarin and asked, “I saw you and Rainbow Dash head to the military building you worked in. Were you showing her around?”
Soarin responded, “Yeah, and I showed her the dome we trained in.”
Rainbow Dash, still impressed, said, “It still amazes me how you guys trained in all types of weather!”
Twilight perked up when she heard weather and dome in the same sentence. Twilight looked at Soarin with stars in her eyes and asked, “Is that the special magic you got when you became an Alicorn?”
Soarin replied, “I was a Pegasus when Mason built Ask Mason. He has a better explanation for it than I do.”
Twilight looked at Mason, who was talking to Discord. She got up and walked over to Mason and asked, “Can you tell me how you made that weather dome?”
Mason chuckled and replied, “Twilight is based on the same magic Pegasus’s have. When they could control the weather, it’s just turned into a rune form of magic.”
Twilight returned to her seat, sat beside Luna, and frowned. Luna looked at Twilight, gently smiled, and said, “I can give Mason a nightmare to make you feel better.”
Twilight giggled and replied, “That would make me feel better, please.”
Luna giggled and tried to cast a magic spell on Mason, and before the magic could activate, she felt it rebound to a guard in the corner of the room. She looked at Mason, and he pointed to Stygian, who was shaking his head at Luna. Stygian said, “I will not tolerate nightmare spells thrown at the only person who trusts me, so please don’t send spells at Mason.”
Mason stood up and said, “I think it’s time for the magic summoning now that we have filled up on this feast and have gotten accustomed to each other.”
Mason made an alchemy circle and then put a bunch of runes in certain spots, and that’s when he looked at the group and said, “I need the magic from everyone here for this spell to work properly.”
Twilight summoned the elements of Harmony and nodded at her friend Luna, and Celestia’s horns glowed. Stygian made a ball of shadow energy, Big Mac created a green ball of energy, Soarin's horn glowed, Grill Cheese compressed aura into a baseball, and at the same time Mason injected his energy, Discord made a chaotic energy ball, Spike and Ember did a complete transformation and sent a there most robust fire breath at the circle and the moment Mason activated the spell all the energy went into the spell making it glow brighter to the point the all the energy summoned a total of 15 spheres came out. They went to each one of the group members.
Mason looked at Twilight and her friends and said, “You girls should start with your orbs.” As Twilight and her friends touched their orbs, the orbs wrapped them in cocoons of light. Mason looked at Celestia and Luna and, before they could ask, said, “They are fine, just going through a metamorphosis or unsealing of the true elemental structure that is the Elements of Harmony.”
Luna asked, “How long is that going to take?”
Mason, in thought, said, “Possibly an hour or two.”
Celestia questioned, “Why did you say specifically unsealing the Elements of Harmony and elemental structure?”
Mason smiled and replied, “Elements are sealed in an elemental system and structure that can only be unsealed after the conditions have been met.”
Celestia looked at her orb and then at Luna, who was curious and nervous. Mason nodded at them as if saying, “Go ahead and see what you get.”
Celestia touched her orb and was given a necklace with a beautiful orange crystal sun symbol, which was emitting divine solar energy. Luna got a bracelet with a diamond moon on it. That was emitting divine lunar energy, just like Celestia’s object. Mason said nothing and looked at them with interest but had no idea what they were doing.
Spike and Ember opened their orbs and got cool divine battle gear that matched their regalia and made it look like royal battle armor. Soarin touched his orb and received a holy weapon, which was a fencing sword. Big Mac touched his orb, and the buster sword in his room floated up and teleported to Big Mac’s hand, and the orb transformed the sword into a divine cloud-cutter buster sword. Stygian touched the orb, and it wrapped around him, showing him a divine skill. Grill Cheese touched his orb wrapped around him and gave him a divine skill.
Mason looked at his orb and touched it. That’s when he felt the divine energy enter his body. That’s when Mason learned a new alphabet of divine runes and a higher level of wisdom and knowledge. Mason wrote a rune with divinity emitting from it. Mason felt something activated in his body. The black book that fused into his body melted, and in it was a rune made out of pure multiversal essence that the older Mason was waiting to use on Mason. The essence activated, and Older Mason, as a voice, said, “I was waiting for you to activate this.”
Mason, confused, asked, “What is this? Why can I feel myself splitting, and why do I keep seeing different things?”
Older Mason replied, “This is the multiverse essence I stole from both factions. The group I was forced to join had one half, and the other had the other half. I’m separating you from that multiverse and timeline and putting you in your multiverse and timeline, free to write your destiny and control your fate. That’s why it feels like you’re being torn apart and why you are seeing different things. The multiverse essence is taking everything from your soul and spreading it all over the new multiverse.”
Mason replied, “No more visitors trying to recruit me?”
Older Mason responded, “That’s right, no more visitors and no more bullshit about a Great War. You are free.”
