Twilight was in the living room reading when there was a knock on her door. “Yes, who is it?”

“It is Rainbow Dash. Can I come in?”

“Sure it is unlocked.” Rainbow opens the door and walks in.

“Hi Twilight what are you doing?”

“Nothing much, just reading. What can I help you with?”

“I just got some apple cider and was wondering if you would like to share it.” She was holding a twelve pack of hard cider.

“That sounds good I could do with a drink.” She puts down her book. “Let's go onto the back porch. It is a nice night out.” She gets up and they walk to the back porch and sit down.

“Here you go Twilight.” Rainbow hands Twilight a bottle of cider. “Sorry that it is warm, they did not have any that were cold.”

“I can fix that.” Twilight cast a spell on the cider to make it cold.

“Thanks Twilight.”

“No problem, it was the least I could do.” She opens her bottle of cider and takes a drink.

“So Twilight have you been very busy?”

“No more than normal. How about you, have you been busy with the wonderbolts?”

“Yes we have a show coming up soon so we have had a lot more practice.” Rainbow takes a drink.

“When is your show?” Twilight takes a drink.

“In a few weeks.”

“I will try and make it. I could use some fun.”

“Yea I know how busy you can get with all of your princess duties. You don’t have much time for yourself do you?”

“No I don't, I would like to get out more and maybe get a date. How about you Rainbow, do you have time for dating?” Twilight takes a drink of cider.

“Well...um…” Rainbow was blushing.

“Don’t tell me that the great Rainbow Dash can’t find a date.”

“I can get a date. I just haven’t found the right person that can handle how awesome I am.” Rainbow quickly took a drink.

“Rainbow you’re blushing, you're as red as an apple.”

“Well it is just that um….”

“I know. Does Rainbow have a secret crush on someone?” Rainbow turned even redder. “You do, why else would you be blushing so much? Who Is it? Do I know them?” Twilight finishes her bottle of cider and opens another one and takes a drink.

“It is kind of a secret I don’t really want to tell them yet.” Rainbow opens and starts on her second bottle of cider.

“Come on I will not tell them I promise.” She gives Rainbow her best puppy dog eyes.

“You know that I can’t say no when you look at me like that. Fine it was going to come out sooner or later.” Rainbow takes a deep breath and a drink of cider to steady her nerves. “The person I have a crush on is you Twilight.” Twilight was so shocked that she couldn’t say anything. All she could do was sit there and stare at Rainbow. When Rainbow did not get a response from Twilight she got up and took off into the sky as fast as she could. She was almost crying. “I knew that I shouldn’t have told her now she hates me stupid stupid stupid.” She said to herself as she flew home as fast as she could. Seeing Rainbow fly away snapped Twilight out of her trance.

“Wait, Rainbow don’t go.” But it was too late she was gone. “Shit she probably thinks that I hate her or something.” Twilight gets up and starts to fly to Rainbow’s. By now Rainbow was home and in her bedroom crying. It took Twilight a lot longer to get to Rainbow’s than it did Rainbow when she got there she knocked on Rainbow’s door. Rainbow heard someone knocking on her door but did not answer. “Rainbow, it is Twilight, I need to talk to you.”

“Sure she does.” Rainbow thought to herself and didn’t go to the door. Twilight knocked again harder this time.

“Rainbow, please open the door.” Rainbow juse ignores Twilight. Twilight keeps knocking for almost five minutes before Rainbow finally opens the door.

“What do you want?” Rainbow asked, sounding a little angry her eyes were red from crying.

“You left so fast that I did not have time to respond to what you had said.”

“What is there to respond to? You did not say anything and now you hate me.”

“I never said that I hate you. I was just so shocked that you have a crush on me that I was temporarily speechless. The truth is that I have had a crush on you for a while now. I did not say anything because I did not know how you would react.”

“You’re just saying that to make me feel better.”

“You really do like me. Would you go out with me?”

“I would love to Rainbow. How about a date?”

“Sure when should it be?” Twilight thinks for a minute.

“I am free tomorrow, how about a round one?”

“That works for me, what should we do?”

“How about we go to the mall?”

“Sure that sounds good to me. I will be at your place at one then.”

“Yes, see you tomorrow night Rainbow.”

“Night Twilight.” They kiss again before Twilight takes off for home the next day Rainbow was knocking on Twilight’s door. Rainbow was wearing blue jeans and a tie dye shirt Twilight opened the door.

“Hi Rainbow, you look nice.” Twilight was wearing a purple skirt and a white t-shirt.

“Thanks Twilight you look nice too.”

“Thank you, are you ready to go?”

“You bet I am. I had a hard time sleeping last night. I was so excited for today.”

“I had trouble sleeping last night too.” They start to walk and Twilight holds out her hand and Rainbow takes it. They hold hands as they are walking.

“So what would you like to do at the mall, Twi? Um… it is ok if I call you Twi right?”

“Only if I can call you Dashie.”

“Ok Twi.”

“I would like to go to the bookstore. What would you like to do Dashie?”

“I would like to look at comic books.”

“I think that the bookstore sells some.” They get to the mall and as they are walking to the bookstore Twilight sees a comic book store. “Hey Dashie, a comic book store has opened. Let's go in.”

“Are you sure Twi? I know that you don’t read comics.”

“Yes I am.” She and Rainbow walk in.

“Wow this place is big.”

“Yes it is bigger than what it looks like on the outside. So what are you looking for Dashie?”

“The new Power ponies book.”

“Spike reads that one too. Let’s go look around.”

“You don’t have to tell me twice.” Rainbow let's go of Twilight’s hand and walks up to a random table and starts to look at the comic books. Twilight walks up to a different table and starts to look. After some time of looking Rainbow finds the comic book that she was looking for and she goes to find Twilight. Twilight was looking in a box on the first table. “I found what I was looking for so we can go when you’re ready Twi.” Rainbow had a comic book in her hand.

“ Ok I am ready we can go now.” Twilight stops looking and picks up a small pile of comic books.

“I see that you found something. What are you getting?”

“This.” Twilight hands Rainbow a stack of three comics. “They are the first three issues of The Adventures Of The Daring Librarian.” Rainbow just smiles. “What?”

“Nothing.” Rainbow takes Twilight’s hand as they walk up front and pay for their comics. “Now let’s go to the bookstore.”

“Sounds good to me.”

“So what do you want at the bookstore?”

“They have a new book on the constellations.”

“Sorry but that does not sound like fun to read.” Twilight laughs a little.

“It is fine Dashie.” They get to the bookstore and Twilight gets her book and they start to walk to the front Rainbow stops walking. “What’s wrong Rainbow?”

“Hey look at this book on the end cap.” Rainbow points to a book that was on the end cap it was titled bondage for dummies. “Who would buy a book like this? What do you think Twi?”

“How about the food court?”

“I am going to get some pizza.” They walk to the food court and get their food. They found a table in a corner where they could talk in private. “Are you going to be able to eat all that Dashie?” Rainbow got two half pound triple burgers with everything on top and a large soda and fries.

“Yes I can eat a lot. Is that going to be enough to eat Twi?” Twilight had gotten two slices of pepperoni pizza and a small soda.

“Yes, I don't eat a lot for lunch.” She starts to eat her food.

“You said that you would tell me about that book at lunch.”

“There is not much to tell. I bought it and read it.”

“And?” Rainbow starts to eat her own food.

“Well...um… I liked what I read and it um… turned me on a little so I did what I do best and did more research on it.” She was blushing a little.

“Have you tried anything yet?”
