Chapters 2013
Daisy sat in a clearing in the Everfree Forest, rubbing her belly. There was a picnic blanket set up in front of her with a picnic basket full of fruits and veggies. She looked up to see Kyra poof into existence before her, a block of cheeses hovering beside her.
“I, uh… got it,” the demon said as she opened the basket and pulled out a box of crackers.
Daisy tilted her head and smiled as the red mare sat down. “You can relax, Kay,” she giggled. “You don’t have to try so hard. I’m fine.”
“I know,” Kyra muttered. “But, I read a book about dating that Twilight recommended. I will get this right.”
“You’ve gotten it right,” the pregnant earth pony said with a smile as she placed one of her hooves on the demon’s. “Just relax and eat with me.” Kyra took the crackers as Daisy pulled out a daffodil sandwich. As they ate, Kyra stared at the basket while Daisy watched her. The pale magenta mare bit into her sandwich and swallowed. "Though, you could talk more."
Kyra went wide-eyed and looked up. "Oh, uh... I... I'm just not used to... dating. Even if we've done this a couple times before."
"And, you're always so quiet," Daisy said with a smile. "What's going on in that head? You've been so quiet. What happened to all that confidence from before?"
"Confidence?" Kyra asked. "I-I wanted to kill those ponies. I-I wanted to turn you into a... a-a sex pet."
Daisy giggled under her breath as she blushed. "But... I kinda liked that about you. The way you talked, how you seduced me... It was intense."
The red mare listened before letting out a sigh. "I guess I'm just still dealing with everything. I shouldn't be accepted like this. After everything I did, and was planning to do, this doesn't feel right."
“I understand,” Daisy said with a smile as she leaned in. “But… can you tell me what your home is like?”
Kyra stared at her. “The… Nether?” Daisy nodded. “Oh, um… I… Well… You see, the thing is…”
“She’s never been,” came a voice familiar to Kyra but new to Daisy.
Both mares looked over at the entrance to the clearing they were in to see a tall black mare walking towards them. She didn’t seem like a threat, so Daisy wasn’t worried. Plus, Kyra was here to protect her should this newcomer pose a problem.
“Hello, Aura,” Kyra snapped.
The black mare smirked. “It’s Viper now, and you know that.”
“Viper?” Asked Daisy. “Oh, are you a… a, uh…” she stammered, realizing this mare might be…
“Another demon?” The black mare asked. “Yes. I’m also Kyra’s older sister.”
“Oh, that’s a relief,” Daisy sighed. “So, uh… how has Kyra never been to the Nether?”
“Before she died,” Viper began. “she was made the same offer that was later made to me. However, when she went out on orientation, she was caught and imprisoned in stone. I, however, did not fail, and became Queen of the Netherworld.”
“I see…” Daisy said, before looking at Kyra. “The red mare had her head hung with her hair hanging in front of her face. “Then, how do you two know each other’s demon name?”
“Ooo, a smart one,” Viper cooed, before leaning in close to the mortal. “The Stone Sleep spell is a powerful spell that can only be used with the Elements Of Harmony, and can trap anything in stone. However, the one stuck inside doesn’t age but they can still hear and, even in some cases, see.”
“So, you visited her,” Daisy said, coming to that conclusion. “Makes sense.”
Viper smiled and sat down. “Congrats on the baby, by the way. I do hope you’ve had a good life.”
Daisy went wide-eyed as Kyra looked up with an equal look of shock. “What?” They both asked in unison.
Viper chuckled. “A demon foal isn’t born small like a mortal foal. Similar to a changeling, they have the appearance of an 8-year-old at birth. So, imagine pushing one of those out.”
Daisy went wide eyed. “Th-That’ll tear me apart!”
The older demon nodded and reached a hoof out to touch the mare’s belly. “However, I do know of a workaround.”
“Anything,” Kyra said plainly.
“Yes, anything,” Daisy desperately agreed. “What is it?”
Viper slid behind the mortal mare and wrapped her forelegs around her. “A demon can heal any wound a mortal sustains, except death. Once you die, that’s it. So, while your insides and your… pussy… gets stretched out, all Kyra has to do is constantly heal your insides to make sure they don’t break.”
“E-Even if she pulls it off and I’m fine afterwards, won’t that still hurt?”
Viper nodded. “Extremely. However, I know a way to lessen the pain.”
“What?” Daisy asked quickly. “What is it?”
The older demon moved her hoof lower until it almost touched the mortal marehood. “A demon’s saliva can act as a painkiller. A few licks inside your hole and you should go numb enough.”
“But,” Kyra started. “I just got my powers back. And, I haven’t killed anyone in a while. What if I make a mistake?”
Viper chuckled and moved her forehooves to rub the mare’s chest. “Oh, dear. Well, I suppose I could help out when that day comes.”
“Oh, thank you!” Daisy reached, reaching up to hug the demon’s neck.
“Yes, thank you,” Kyra began, sounding uncertain. “But, why? Why have you just now shown back up?”
“I’ve been busy,” Viper explained. “Believe it or not, not all demons are sweet like me. Well, except for one, but… she’s more literal sweet than figuratively.”
“Huh?” Daisy asked, sounding really confused.
The black demon smiled and rubbed her head. “Don’t worry about it.” She then stood up and looked at Kyra. “You’re doing good, lil’ sister. Keep it up and you may be worthy of coming home sooner than you think.” Before Kyra could respond, the older demon disappeared in a poof of black smoke.
“Well, she seems nice,” Daisy said with a smile.
Kyra forced a smile in return. “You just told her she could lick your pussy.”
Daisy’s smile faded as she blushed hard. “O-Oh… But, it will help, won’t it?”
The red mare shrugged. “I have no reason to doubt her. I just wish I was strong enough to do that for you.”
The earth pony went back to eating her sandwich. “We should finish up,” said said after swallowing. “Twilight said she had something to show you today.”
“If she’s gonna try to lecture me again,” Kyra grumbled. “I swear I’m gonna…”
“Oh, no, nothing like that,” Daisy giggled. “You’ll see.”
Kyra put a cracker in her mouth and bit down, her eyes narrowing in suspicion.
Daisy led the demon over to Sugarcube Corner where there were red and black balloons tied to the awning’s support poles. Kyra eyed the balloons as Daisy knocked on the front door. The door opened and Daisy entered. When Kyra entered, a pair of pink hooves shot out from her peripheral vision and attached a dark red party hat to her head.
“Surprise!” Pinkie yelled.
Before Kyra could say anything, she saw the cake on a nearby table with Twilight and friends gathered around. In addition to the six, there was Derpy, Mayor Mare, Lyra, Bon Bon, Celestia, and Luna. The red mare went wide-eyed as Daisy joined the group.
“Wh-What is this?” Kyra asked as she took a step forward.
“Why, it’s your birthday, darling,” Rarity answered. “You couldn’t possibly have forgotten.”
Kyra eyed the floor in thought. “How’d you find…”
“I told them,” Luna answered before the question could be finished.
The demon looked up at her in disbelief. “You… remember?”
“Of course,” the alicorn replied. “How could I forget little Amber’s birthday?”
The red mare hid a blush as Daisy walked up to her. “Believe it or not, there are some who do care about you,” the mortal mare replied.
“I know,” Kyra replied. “That’s not what I’m having trouble understanding.”
“You’re still hung up on the why , aren’t you?” Twilight asked, getting a nod from the demon. She let out a sigh and trotted over. “I admit, at first, it was to calm you down so you wouldn’t destroy the Elements or kill everyone. But, after seeing how you acted afterwards when you made Zecora’s memorial statue, and then in recent months when we tried to get you to hang out with us, I started to see a little bit of the real you in there. You wanted friends again. You still do, you’re just… so full of guilt that you can’t allow yourself to be happy.”
“Of course I’m full of guilt,” Kyra replied in a dark tone as her eyes narrowed. “Every time I walk through town, I see every pony watching me. Even if you all can look past what I did, the majority will not forget.
"Oh, come on," AJ said in annoyance as she took a couple steps forward. "You did horrible things. You killed Zecora and tortured Derpy. That will never not be true no matter what we say or what you do. So, stop expecting or trying to seek forgiveness. It will never come. All you can do now is show remorse and try and better yourself. But, you need to stop moping around and feeling sorry for yourself."
"Applejack!" Rarity gasped.
Kyra stayed silent for a few seconds before looking at the farmer. She then took in a deep breath and stepped back. "You're right," she said, before turning and leaving.
Pinkie just blew on the party horn in her mouth, unsure if the party was still on. Twilight and AJ eye each other before they headed to the front door to see where Kyra was headed. They saw her walking in the direction of the town square. Kyra kept walking until she found the other flower ponies Lilly and Roseluck tending to their flower stand. They spotted her when she got within five feet of them.
"Oh, Kyra," Lilly said as both mares stopped what they were doing and faced her, their smiles fading into a neutral expression. "What... can we do for you?"
"I was just..." Kyra began as she stopped two feet away from them. "wondering if... there was anything I could do to help?"
"Help?" Rose asked, both she and Lilly eyeing each other. "Do you know anything about gardening and... preserving life?"
Kyra shook her head. "No."
"Then, I can't think of any way you could help," Lilly said with a small frown. "Sorry."
"I get it," Kyra muttered, her eyes going to the ground.
Roseluck hesitated for a moment before taking a step forward. "So... how are you and Daisy? I thought she was throwing you a party today?"
"She was," Kyra said with a small smile. "Is. I just came from there."
Rose gave a light smile, too. "Then, why'd you leave?"
"I was inspired by something a friend said," Kyra explained. "I want to... better myself. And, stop seeking forgiveness."
Lilly slowly stepped up beside Roseluck. "Maybe... you can help us set up shop tomorrow morning?"
Rose smiled and nodded. "That sounds like a great idea."
Kyra smiled, too. "I will... see you tomorrow morning, then," she said, taking a step back before turning around and heading back towards Sugarcube. When she got back, she saw Twilight and Applejack standing in the doorway. She trotted up the steps and stopped in front of them. "I... offered to help out Lilly and Rose."
"And?" Twilight asked with a hopeful smile.
Kyra smiled and exhaled through her nose. "I'll be helping them set up tomorrow morning."
AJ stepped up to her and put a foreleg around her. "Proud of ya. Now, get in here. We have a cake for you."
"A cake?" The demon asked, before the earth pony pulled her inside.

The Birth Of A Lost Soul
Kyra approached the area where the flower ponies would set up shop. No one was here yet as it was still pretty early in the morning. She simply sat down to watch the sunrise. After about an hour when the sun and moon finally traded out, she heard voices behind her.
“Oh, Kyra, you’re here already,” Rose said as she parked the wagon she was pulling.
“When did you leave?” Daisy asked, trotting up to her. “I didn’t hear you go.”
“I went for a walk first,” Kyra explained. “To clear my head. I finished early and waited here.” As she talked, over vendors arrived at their stations to set up shop. “It was… peaceful.”
Rose and Lilly smiled at each other before Rose walked up to the demon. “Ready to help us set up?”
ONE WEEK LATER
Kyra was woken up with a start as Daisy jumped on her. “Guess what?” Daisy asked with a wide smile.
“What?” Asked Kyra. “This had better be good. I was…”
“I’m pregnant!” Daisy beamed.
Kyra went wide-eyed. “What?”
They both heard a familiar laugh from the far corner of the room. They both looked over to see Viper. “So, the mortal will give birth to a demon child. How interesting.”
“What do you know about it?” Kyra asked as her eyes narrowed.
Viper slowly trotted closer. “I know that dear old Daisy will die in birth,” she cooed in a dark tone that made both Kyra and Daisy gasp. “After all, a demon isn’t born an infant. It comes out larger and grows rather quickly until it has the appearance of a young filly. Then, it ages like normal and later gains the ability to change its appearance to look older. Daisy’s mortal vagina will be ripped apart.” She stopped when she got to the bed. “Unless…”
“Unless what?” Daisy gasped, practically begging as she stumbled over Kyra to look the older demon in the eyes. “I-I don’t wanna die in childbirth. I wanna live to see my kid.”
Viper smirked and reached a hoof out to rub her cheek. “It’s a simple spell that we succubus-class demons are equipped with. Our saliva can numb any part of your body. It helps when the mare’s half the size as your cock, or you’re taking a stallion from behind. Pair that with a simple healing spell, and you’re good to go.”
Daisy quickly looked back at Kyra, who was now sitting up. The red mare nervously rubbed the back of her head. “Uh… I’m not…”
“She doesn’t know the spells,” Viper said with a smile. “I suppose I could lend a hoof to make sure you survive.”
Daisy looked at her again before throwing her forelegs around her neck. “Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!”
Viper gave the lightest smile possible and gently patted her back. “You’re… welcome… Now, I must be getting back,” she said to Kyra as she backed away from Daisy. “A couple of demons in Tartarus have been acting up.”
“Tartarus?” Daisy asked. “Isn’t that just a prison for really dangerous creatures?”
“What do you think it’s named after?” Viper asked with a wink, before bursting into black smoke that soon faded away.
Daisy quickly turned around to face Kyra. “Yay, she’s going to help me live!”
Kyra chuckled and nodded. “Yep. And, she gets to eat you out, too.”
Daisy blushed and went wide-eyed. “O-Oh…”
3 MONTHS LATER
Daisy had her front half on the bed with her face buried in a pillow, screaming as Viper and Kyra stared at her marehood.
"Ready for your daughter to be born?" Viper asked with a smirk.
Kyra rolled her eyes. "Don't enjoy this too much. She's mine."
The black demon chuckled and patted Kyra's back. "I know." She then covered the mare's twitching hole with her magic, using her healing spell as she leaned in to lick around the rim.
Kyra sighed and trotted around to the side of the bed. "You got this."
Daisy eyed her and took in a deep breath. "She was right. The licking is helping."
The red demon smiled lightly. "It's the saliva. Not just the licking," she corrected, before looking at Viper. "Anything?"
"She needs to start pushing, Viper urged. "And, she needs to be quick about it. Don't want the filly growing up inside her womb."
Daisy went wide-eyed and buried her face in the pillow again as she screamed loudly. As she did, the lights in the room flickered. Kyra looked around at the lights and moved closer to Viper.
"This normal?" She asked.
"Something doesn't feel right," Viper muttered.
Kyra turned to her and leaned in. "What do you mean? Is the foal okay?"
"The foal is fine," Viper said, before giving another couple licks to the stretching marehood. "But, the soul seems older than it should be."
Kyra eyed her before warped crying could be heard. The lights flickered faster and faster as the slimy black foal began to emerge. "What the hell?" The red demon gasped.
"I, too, am surprised," Viper said as she watched the foal emerge even more.
When the foal slipped out, Kyra went to catch it. Due to the wetness, the foal slipped out of her hooves and hit the floor with a wet splat before it began to writhe and grow, all the while letting out eerie warped crying. Viper went to making sure the mare's vagina went back to normal as Kyra stared at the foal. The black foal kept getting bigger and bigger as it flopped around like a fish out of water.
When Daisy felt well enough, she sat up as Viper turned to look at the foal. Daisy climbed down off the bed, letting out a light groan. The foal suddenly stopped moving once it had the appearance of an 8-year-old filly with a short gray mane and tail. She simply lay in the juices she was covered in, eyes closed.
"Oh, no," Daisy gasped, covering her mouth. "Is she..."
Kyra eyed her before reaching a hoof out. When her hoof touched the foal's body, the foal's eyes shot open and she quickly sat up on her haunches. She just stared straight ahead as Kyra and Daisy eyed each other. The red demon then gently placed her hoof on the filly's back.
"Hello?" She asked, making the filly look up at her. "Um... I'm Kyra. And, this is Daisy," she said, pointing at the mare. "We're your... parents."
The filly looked at Daisy, who waved at the child with a smile. The filly then looked at Kyra again. "Ma... lice," she replied.
"Malice," Viper repeated. "Fascinating. Either she had cruel parents, or she already has a demon name."
"What the hell happened?" Kyra asked, looking over at Viper. "Why does she even have a name?"
The older demon eyed her sister before trotting over to the filly. "Sometimes a lost soul can merge with a newborn demon, thus being reincarnated. I can only assume little Malice, here, died and her soul ended up wandering around. Perhaps, trying to find her family. It's unclear how long it's been since she died, but you two have seemingly created a filly that she resonated with."
"This is weird," Daisy muttered. "But, we should probably get her cleaned up."
"Right..." Kyra agreed. "And, I'm sure our friends will want to meet her." Daisy smiled before Kyra looked at her. "What?" The demon asked, confused.
"You called them friends ," Daisy replied.
Kyra blushed with a small smile as Viper rolled her eyes. "Don't go turning my baby sister into a complete pussy, please?" Viper asked before slapping Kyra's flanks. "See ya later," she said, before taking a step back.
"You don't want to meet your sister's friends?" Daisy asked.
Viper chuckled and sighed. "Nope."
After the older demon vanished in a burst of gray smoke, Daisy looked at Kyra again. "Shall we get her cleaned up?"
The red mare looked at the slimy filly and nodded. "Probably a good idea."
Meet Malice
OCTOBER 8
Kyra sat in the bathtub with Malice seated in front of her. The mare was busy scrubbing the filly’s mane while Daisy sat outside the tub and watched. “Are you sure you don’t wanna do this?” Kyra asked as Malice looked back at her.
Daisy smiled and nodded. “Until we know what she’s capable of, perhaps it’s best I don’t get too close.”
Malice suddenly stood up and turned to face the flower pony. “I won’t hurt you. I don’t even know what’s going on.”
“Well, what’s the last thing you remember?” Daisy asked as she leaned in.
Malice thought for a moment as she eyed the ceiling. “Wood. Then darkness.”
9:00 AM
Applejack and friends were gathered at Sugarcube Corner, the orange mare staring at the door. “Can y’all even believe it?” She asked, peeling her eyes from the door to look at all her friends.
“Daisy and Kyra,” Rarity said, before chuckling. “Who’d have thought?”
“I am simply proud of Kyra,” Luna said with a smile. "She has come a long way. And, now she has a daughter."
"Her and Daisy," Twilight corrected. "And Daisy was the pregnant one."
Applejack trotted over to the door and looked out. "Here they come," she said, waving to them before heading back to her table.
"Could you see the little one?" Asked Rarity.
AJ shook her head. "Just a filly about Apple Bloom's age. Not sure who it is, though." The demon and her marefriend trotted up the steps as the filly rested on the demon's back. Applejack stepped aside as the trio entered. "Where's your lil' buddy?" AJ asked. "And, who's the filly?"
Daisy chuckled and patted Malice's head. "This is Malice. And... she is our daughter."
The room went dead silent as all mares around them stared in wide-eyed disbelief. Daisy looked at Kyra, who gave her a vacant look. Daisy then looked around at her friends and cleared her throat. “Well, thanks for not making this awkward.”
“Sorry, darling,” Rarity apologized as she stepped forward. “It’s just… she looks like she’s Sweetie Belle’s age.”
Kyra nodded. “It’s a demon thing. She technically isn’t even ours. She’s a lost soul that latched itself onto Daisy’s demon fetus… and… was reborn. Exactly as she was when she died, except… no memory.”
“I remember wood,” Malice said as she stared at Rarity. “And darkness.”
Rarity stared back at the filly, frozen in disbelief once again. “S-Sorry, I forgot that… even though you were just born, you can still… talk.”
Applejack trotted up beside Kyra, the demon looking over at her. “She’s a cutie, alright,” AJ said as the filly turned her head to stare at the orange mare.
AJ blinked a she thought about how unsettling it was that the filly was just staring, when the filly suddenly blinked. AJ hesitated before blinking again. The filly copied her. AJ smiled and leaned in as she started to rapidly blink. Malice copied her again and began blinking rapidly, too.
“Are you feeling okay?” Kyra asked, sounding legitimately concerned.
“Huh?” AJ asked, before chuckling. “Yeh. The young’un and I were just playin’.”
“Fun,” Malice said plainly, before sliding off her mother.
Kyra felt her slip and went to catch her, but realized she was getting down. Laying herself, Kyra let her daughter off before standing back up. The filly walked over to the others before her eyes fell on Luna.
“Princess?” She asked.
Luna smiled and nodded. “Yes. But, right now, I am simply a friend.”
“Do you know her, sweetie?” Asked Daisy.
Malice nodded. “I remember… she came to my, um… Lots of foals,” she muttered, trying to remember.
“Your school?” Twilight asked.
The filly smiled and nodded. “Yes. I remember the pretty hair.”
Luna smiled and felt flattered that the young one liked her hair. “My sister and I do visit schools on occasion. It’s possible we crossed paths.”
“You don’t recognize her?” Rainbow asked.
Luna sighed and looked at the filly’s eyes, mane, and tail. “Truth be told, I have seen many fillies and colts throughout my years. I cannot remember all their faces.”
“If she’s Sweetie’s age,” Rarity began. “She’d be in elementary. Could she have gone to our elementary here in Ponyville?”
“It’s possible,” Luna said, before an idea came to mind. “If anypony would remember a missing student, it would be Cheerilee.”
“Assuming Malice was alive at some point during the past 10 years and went to Ponyville Elementary,” Twilight pointed out.
Daisy shrugged. “It’s worth a shot if it means finding out more about her life.”
Fluttershy looked around the room. "Um... Where's Pinkie Pie?"
A light horn suddenly went off as confetti and balloons rained down from the ceiling. Pinkie suddenly ran out of the kitchen with a cart of cupcakes. "Happy birthday, Malice!"
The filly watched a red balloon float down in front of her before she crouched down and leapt at it. When she hit the floor, she rolled onto her back but kept hold of the balloon.
"Oh, look," Rarity cooed. "She's like a ca..."
POP!
Everyone stared as Malice pulled her mouth from the popped balloon. "Not juicy," the filly muttered, before tossing the rubber away.
Daisy chuckled nervously and quickly trotted over to the filly. "No, you... aren't supposed to bite balloons, sweetie."
Malice looked up at her. "It looked like an..." Her attention was suddenly brought to AJ's rear. "apple."
Applejack went wide-eyed and looked at her flank. "Oh," she said, before smiling as she looked at Daisy. "If she wants apples, I got plenty of those."
"Apple," Malice said quickly.
"Alright," Daisy said as she looked at Kyra, who just shrugged. "I guess we're stopping by Sweet Apple Acres and then Ponyville Elementary.
“You all go on ahead,” Luna said with a smile. “I must see if my sister needs me. But, I will try to be back for when you go to the school.”
“Sounds like a plan,” Twilight said as she stepped up to Malice. “Shall we go?”
Daisy nodded and looked down at the filly. “Who do you want to ride with?”
Malice looked up at her before disappearing in a poof of black smoke before reappearing the same way on Daisy’s back. The sudden weight caught the mare off guard but she managed to stay up. Kyra trotted over and rubbed the filly’s head.
“Already using her abilities,” the red mare said with a tiny smile.
Daisy looked back at her as the two locked eyes. The urge to kiss was rising before Daisy remembered where she was. Clearing her throat, she looked at the others, who were all smiling. “What?”
“You two are adorable,” Rarity cooed.
Daisy blushed hard and averted her eyes, but did so with a smile.
10:00 AM
Applejack led Kyra, Daisy, and Malice down the long dirt road to her farm after the others all went to their own jobs. The pale magenta earth pony glanced over at Kyra and hesitated before speaking.
"I love you," she said with a smile.
Kyra looked at her with a worried expression on her face. She then eyed the ground as they walked. "I... do, too."
"You love you ?" The mortal asked.
"N-No," Kyra muttered. "I... you know... you ."
Daisy sighed as her smile faded a little. "Still can't say it?"
"It wasn't that long ago I called you my sex pet," Kyra pointed out. "Love is a concept still unknown to me."
“Love is just when you like someone much more than a friend,” Daisy explained. “Someone you want to spend your whole life with.”
“I’m immortal,” Kyra pointed out. “I couldn’t spend my whole life with you.”
Daisy sighed and moved up beside the demon so their bodies touched as they walked. “You’re impossible.”
Kyra gave a weak smile and inhaled deeply through her nose. “I will… learn about this… Love thing… so that I can finally say those words to you. Okay?”
Daisy giggled softly. “You’re so awkward.”
Applejack led them through the archway and onto the farm. As they approached the barn, Apple Bloom came running out. “Hey sugarcube,” AJ greeted. “Got someone I want you to meet.”
The farm filly tilted her head. “Huh. Who? Kyra? I already know her. Sort of.”
“No, M…” AJ began, turning to the couple behind her. “Where’s Malice?”
Kyra and Daisy looked at each other before looking at their backs. Daisy then began to turn in a circle. Apple Bloom felt something on her tail and turned around, finding herself staring directly into the eyes of a black filly. She let out a yell and stumbled back into her flanks.
All three mares looked over and sighed with relief. “This is who I was talkin’ ‘bout,” AJ said as she walked over to her sister. Malice stared at Apple Bloom before falling backwards onto her own flanks. “AB? Meet Malice. Kyra abs Daisy’s daughter.”
“Daughter?” Bloom asked, confused. “When…”
“It’s a demon thing,” Daisy said quickly. “Don’t ask about it.”
Apple Bloom leaned to the left, and Malice mirrored her. She leaned to the right, and Malice mirrored her again. “Wanna play tag?” She suddenly asked with a smile.
The demon filly kept staring at her. “What’s tag?”
“A game,” AB explained. “I run from you, but if you touch me I’m it and then it’s my turn to chase you .”
Malice thought for a moment before leaning in. “Does the winner get… an apple?”
Apple Bloom giggled. “Sure. But, we’ll give you an apple anyways.”
When the two got up, Daisy looked at Applejack. “You don’t think her fascination with apples…”
“I was thinkin’ that, too,” AJ admitted. “Although, I don’t recognize her.”
“You first,” Apple Bloom said as she booped Malice on the nose and took off. When she turned to look where she was going, she bumped into Malice.
The black filly tapped her on the head. “You’re… it?”
Apple Bloom sighed. “No fair using your powers. Now start runnin’ and don’t use your powers to avoid me.”
“Just run,” Malice repeated. “Got it.” She then took off at a normal foal’s pace. AB smiled and ran after her.
Applejack watched them with a smile. “Maybe… Maybe Granny knows her. She may be old, but she’s got a mind like a steel trap. Can remember events from years ago. If she’s seen Malice, I’m sure she’ll remember her.”
“Should we try that first?” Daisy asked as she looked at her marefriend. “I mean, we’re already here.”
Kyra smiled and nodded. “Don’t see why not. After all, I’m sure we’re all curious as to who Malice really is.”
"Unfortunately..." Applejack went on. "Granny'll be gone until Tuesday."
"Two days from now?" Daisy groaned.
"It's okay," Kyra assured her with a small smile. "We can still investigate the school."
“Will Malice be going to school with us?” Asked Apple Bloom with a smile as she trotted up to them.
Malice suddenly pounced on her and tackled her to the ground. “Tag,” she said as she lay across the farm filly. AB let out an “oof” upon impact before giggling.
“A demon in a normal school?” Asked Kyra. “I don’t know. I mean, everypony’s still afraid of me. I don’t think they’d be ready for another demon. Especially not worth having one around their children.”
“True,” Daisy muttered. “Maybe we can ask around? Introduce them to Malice. Maybe they’ll be okay with her.”
“I can help,” AJ offered. “Might help them get on board if the Element of Honesty is vouching for her.”
“Thanks, Applejack,” Daisy said, before she looked down at the foals. “I think it would help her adjust if she was around others her age.” She then looked at Kyra. "She wouldn't... hurt anyone, right? Accidentally , I mean."
"Demons have better control over their powers than unicorns," Kyra explained. "Malice will be fine among the others. We just need to tell her not to use her powers in public."
"That's a little much, isn't it?" Daisy asked with a nervous chuckle. "That's like asking a unicorn foal to never use their magic."
"Malice is a demon," Kyra said as she leaned in. "A demon . If she used her powers in public, she could start a panic."
"They're warming up to you ," Daisy stated, her expression turning serious.
Kyra scoffed. "They're still on edge. And, two demons may make them worry more . If the townsponies become to fearful, Malice and I will have to leave to avoid a conflict. Is that what you want?"
Daisy stared into her marefriend's eyes before looking down at the ground. She let out a sigh and looked over at Malice, who had created a butterfly out of fire and had it flying around herself and Apple Bloom. The yellow filly seemed to be enjoying the show. "I don't like the idea of her hiding a part of herself, but... maybe it is what's best. For now, anyways," she added as she returned her attention to Kyra.
The red mare smiled lightly. "I don't like it, either. And hopefully someday she won't have to hide anymore."
When they looked over at the fillies, they saw Applejack dragging a bucket of apples over. "Alright, Malice," the earth pony said as she stood beside the bucket. "Got ya some apples."
Malice looked over and gasped before running up to the bucket. "Oh, wow..." She then grabbed one and bit into it. Her eyes suddenly lit up like the life was coming back to her. However, she seemed to freeze in place.
"Um..." Apple Bloom said as she moved closer to see the juice dripping from the filly's mouth as her teeth were buried in the apple. "Is she alright?"
Applejack leaned in. "Um... I don't know."
The black filly finally finished her bite and chewed on the piece of apple in her mouth. As she did, she looked up at Applejack and swallowed. "Thank you," she said, before taking another bite.
"Yer welcome, sugarcube," the orange mare said with a smile. Standing up, she walked over to the child's parents. "Does she seem different to you?"
"Her reaction did seem more genuine," Daisy pointed out. "Not the usual emotionless comments we've been getting."
Kyra nodded in agreement. "The taste of the apple must've triggered some memory. Either she's tied to this farm or she just had a liking for apples before. I'll check out the school for any clues tomorrow and take Malice out for a walk while you help with your flowers."
Daisy smiled. "Sounds good. You be sure to tell me if you find anything."
The red mare chuckled. "Why wouldn't I?"
"Uh..." Apple Bloom said, getting everyone's attention. Malice was laying on her back with a slightly bloated belly, the bucket of apples now just full of apple cores. "You should've seen it. It was intense."
Applejack rubbed her forehead. "Maybe one at a time from now on..."
The Next Day, Monday
Kyra and Malice stood at the path leading to the Elementary school. "Alright," the demon mare said. "Wait here. Don't wander off. I'll be right back."
"Why do I need to wait here?" The filly asked, looking up at her mother.
The mare looked down at her daughter. "Well... because we aren't yet sure if the other parents would feel safe with a demon among their children. Remember, sweetie. It's not you . It's them ."
Malice nodded and sat down. Kyra gave her a smile and trotted towards the school. As she approached the front door, Cheerilee stepped out.
“Kyra?” She asked, looking on edge. “Why are you here?”
“Well…” She started, before looking over at Malice. The filly was watching a butterfly dance around a flower.
“Oh, uh…” the teacher muttered. “I’m sorry, but I don’t know how the other parents will react to hearing that their kids are…”
“Around another demon?” Kyra asked, returning her attention to the mare.
Cheerilee gave a nervous smile and rubbed the back of her head. “Congratulations, by the way.”
“Thank you,” the demon said plainly. “But, I’m just here to learn more about my daughter. It seems the soul of a filly found its way to Daisy and merged with the fetus. Now, we have a child with a past life who has no idea who she is.”
“Um…” Daisy said, her eyes wide at hearing everything. “That’s sure a lot to lay on somepony,” she said with a forced laugh. “But, as a teacher, I can’t turn away a filly in need.”
“Great,” Kyra said with a small smile. “First things first, do you recognize her?”
Cheerilee shrugged and looked over at the filly again. Malice was now on her back as the butterfly fluttered above her. The teacher let out a soft giggle. “No, I can’t say that I do. Doesn’t resemble any filly I’ve ever seen.”
“Before your time, then,” Kyra muttered. “Anyone elder who may know?”
“Um…” Cheerilee thought aloud. “The school nurse. She knows a lot about the school’s history. Maybe she knows something?”
“Cool,” Kyra sighed with a nod. “May I… a demon… enter the building full of foals to go speak with the nurse?”
The teacher chuckled nervously. “I didn’t mean anything by that. I was just…”
“I understand,” Kyra interrupted, stepping up to the mare. “You’re protective of the foals. Like a good teacher. Now, I’ve done a lot of bad things, which gives you every right to be cautious. However, I’ve left that life behind me and now I have a daughter. And, I’m just trying to be a good mother to her.”
Cheerilee smiled gently and nodded. “Fair enough,” she said, babies opening the door for the demon. “Down the hall, first door on the left.”
Kyra entered the nurse’s office to see the mare going through some paperwork at her desk to the left. To the right was a bed with posters all over the wall about various things foals had to watch out for. One was a poster about ticks. Kyra’s attention was suddenly pulled away from the posters to the nurse when the mare spoke.
“Oh,” the nurse said cautiously. “Hello. Can I help you?”
Kyra looked over at the posters again. The next one was about wearing helmets while on scooters or blades. “I’m just looking for some information regarding…” She trailed off when she saw the next poster. Mane lice.
“I’m not allowed to give out information about our students,” the nurse said in a professional tone while she wore a look of confusion.
Kyra trotted up to the poster and squinted her eyes before placing her hoof over the N and E. She went slightly wide-eyed and locked over at the nurse. “Did… anything ever happen to this building? Like, a fire, or a flood? Anything?”
“Well, uh…” the nurse muttered as she thought. “As a matter of fact, there was a fire here. About seventy years ago, I think. Destroyed most of the school. Poor filly got trapped inside, what I hear.”
Kyra gasped and took off running. The nurse watched her leave and shrugged before going back to work.
Malice followed the butterfly over to a picnic table in the filed just outside Ponyville. When it flew out of sight, the filly hopped onto the table with a sigh and sat down. Nearby, was Lyra and Bon Bon out on another date. She watched as the two mares kissed, then giggled.
"I love you, Lyra," the white earth pony sighed.
"I love you, too, Bon Bon," the unicorn replied.
Bon Bon chuckled and held the mare's cheeks. "Let's go home. I got a surprise for you."
"Ooo, really?" Lyra asked with a wide smile as the two mares chased each other back in town. As they past Kyra, they slowed down and eyed her before running off again.
Kyra eyed them back as she sighed and trotted up to Malice. "There you are. I thought I told you not to..." She was cut off when Malice grabbed her cheeks and kissed her on the lips. Her eyes went wide before the filly pulled away. "Uh..."
"I love you, mommy," Malice said plainly.
"I... love you, too, sweetie," Kyra replied with a weak smile, still weirded out.
"Let's go home," the filly said as she stared deeply into her mother's eyes. "I got a surprise for you."
"Excuse me?" Kyra asked, before remembering Lyra and Bon Bon. "Oh. Malice, there are different ways to show you love someone, and some ways are okay to with some while not okay to do with others."
"Explain," the filly said as she kept holding the mare's cheeks.
"For example, kisses on the lips are meant for couples," Kyra said. "For family members, kisses on the cheek are more accepted."
"Huh..." the filly muttered. "Some part of me understands what you're saying. Another part doesn't seem to care."
Kyra giggled. "Oh, you have my succubus urges," she said, before sighing. Her eyes then went wide again. "Oh... You have my succubus urges."
"Suck-you-bus?" Malice asked. "What's that?"
"Better question," Kyra said as she took the filly's forehooves and lowered them back down on the table and off her face. "Why don't we forget it? Just... if you feel like putting your mouth or hooves on another's body... Don't."
"What about you?" Malice asked. "Can I touch you ?"
"Of course," Kyra said with a smile. "Just not certain areas. You can still ride on my back and kiss my cheek."
The filly tilted her head. "O... kaaayyy..." she muttered, confused.
Kyra groaned and hung her head. "I have to teach you about sex now, don't I?" She asked. "So you know what not to do." She then lifted her head and sighed heavily. "If I can get in touch with my sister, I might be able to get an old friend to teach you."
"Why can't you teach me?" Malice asked.
"It's not really something a mom should show her daughter," Kyra explained. "My friend would be able to show you without you actually doing anything."
"Okay..." Malice muttered.
Kyra tapped the ground nervously with her right forehoof. "Mmm... You may be over seventy-years-old but this still feels weird."
"I'm over 70?" Malice asked.
Kyra smiled widely. "Oh! Right! I found out some stuff about you at the school. We have to go tell Daisy."
They found Daisy with Rose and Lily. On their approach, Daisy spotted them first and trotted over. “I found something,” Kyra said with a smile. “I think I know what happened to Malice.”
“Oh?” Daisy asked.. “What?”
“The same thing that happened to me,” Kyra said simply. “Seventy years ago, a fire destroyed the school. A filly was trapped inside.”
“Why do you think that’s Malice?” Daisy asked. “Could’ve been any filly.”
“There was a poster about mane lice,” Kyra explained. “If Malice was in that room when she died…”
“One of the last things she would’ve seen would’ve been the sign,” Daisy finished.
“And, let’s say the fire destroyed part of the sign,” Kyra continued. “burning away the N and E?”
Daisy let out a soft gasp, remembering back to how Malice introduced herself. “Ma… lice. That’s still a stretch.”
“But, still,” Kyra said with a smile. “Now, we just need to wait until Granny Smith gets back to see if she can recall a 70-year-old memory.”
"So, she's definitely connected to this town, then?" Daisy asked, before letting out a sigh. "Wow. I mean, I guess it makes sense. I doubt we'd attract a soul from another city."
Kyra nodded.“And, all we have to do now is wait.”
