Author's Note

This got a lot more serious than I anticipated. I think the shift in tone gives it a nice ebb and flow feel, though. Kinda keeps readers on their toes. You never know whether you're gonna end up with a chapter that's more romance or smut.

Clarity

The following evening, the couple decided to try their hooves at role reversal. Harmonic took on the façade of the vampire, putting Atmospheric in the shoes of the "powerless" victim. Her husband blindfolded her, tying her forelegs together for a brief period.

"Please don't hurt me, Mr. Vampire!" she pleaded in an exaggerated tone.

"Now why would I do a thing like that? It would be a shame to waste such a precious morsel."

"What are you going to do to me?"

"Well, that depends."

Harmonic began circling his wife, playing up the moment to seduce her with the uncertainty. Eventually, he paused behind her. He placed a spiked choker around her neck and whispered in her ear.

"What would you like me to do...?"

Atmospheric shuddered. It was hard to explain how, but she could tell how much he wanted her. His desire was unmistakable. She felt his hoof slip between her haunches.

"My, my! You're positively soaked!"

"Please..." the seraph begged.

"Ah! I know just what to do with you!"

Harmonic removed the bind restraining her legs and stepped back.

"Pleasure yourself for your master."

Atmospheric inhaled softly as her heart rate increased. Unbeknownst to Harmonic, she'd begun to have second thoughts. It was one thing when they were both participating, but being watched...? It just felt...Off...

"(You okay, hon?)" Harmonic asked.

"(I don't think I can do this.)"

Harmonic approached his lover. Even with her eyes shrouded by the blindfold, he could see her fear. He took her hoof in his.

"(What's wrong, baby? Talk to me.)"

"(I don't know. Something about this feels weird. I'm not used to being watched, let alone like this...)"

"(You wanna call it off and just get some sleep?)"

"(I know you were looking forward to it. I'm sorry.)"

"(There's nothing to apologize for. Your safety and comfort come above all else. You're more important to me than some silly game. You know that, right?)"

"(I know.)"

"(I love you with all my heart.)"

Atmospheric removed the blindfold and choker.

"I love you, too..."

The angel embraced her husband, gently kissing him as a token of affection. Despite the turn of events, she still craved his touch without fail. She spoke only one request.

"Tonight, I want you to make love to me as I am - a child of God."

Harmonic nodded. Atmospheric guided her husband to their marriage bed.
