Rancor is just a normal thestral..on the surface, he's got a lot of skeletons in his closet and hasn't been very good on sharing them, he keeps them close to his chest and has always been traveling before he can make a permanent trace on the globe. The thing he wants more than anything is to try to act normal, be normal, try to fit in. Sadly things don't ever go the way we want.
