Flutter Heart
The first warning
Load Full StoryThis was how Fluttershy lived her life. Alone in her cottage by the Everfree forest, she only had her animal friends to keep her company. And of course, there was me, Angel, her pet rabbit.
I've known Fluttershy all my life. Ever since she fell off her cloud and hit the ground. She only found me after the sonic rainboom, huddled up and shaking under a bush along with my siblings and a few other scared animals. She comforted all of us. That’s how she got her cutie mark. I was only a young kit then, but now that Fluttershy's gone I'm the only one who lives to tell the sad tale.

It was a hot summer afternoon. Fluttershy had just come home from shopping. She lay out each bowl carefully and filled them with food for (lunch/dinner/breakfast). How she managed to look after so many animals each day was beyond me.
The yellow mare seemed awfully quiet. I jumped up to her as if to ask ‘What’s wrong?’
"Oh Angel, I can't believe it!" She said almost whispering, her eyes wide with fear. Anyone could tell was close to crying. "Today I got my first warning, the one about my actions and the punishment!"
She was talking about Luna's guards. Strict rules had been sent across Equestria ever since Celestia died. In case any pony thinks that Equestria is weak, now that Celestia was gone, Luna sent guards that patrolled each town, city, and village to make sure no threat against canterlot is made. Warnings such as these can be caused by multiple reasons. Thus Fluttershy's was for her actions.
. Each pony had a limit of five warnings. If any pony got five, they would get sent to Canterlot to receive their punishment. Every pony knew Luna could never replace Celestia but Luna was their only hope of keeping safe.
Luna, however, thought that this wasn't harsh at all. Having spent a thousand years on the moon, she has now only come to believe that nothing is worse than banishment to the moon.
Fluttershy couldn't believe that in the 3 years of Celestia's passing she has received a warning. I tried to comfort her, nudging her cheek as if to say that it wasn't much of a big deal. The sad mare smiled weakly back at me and put me down. I hopped towards my bowl now that Fluttershy had calmed down.
"Angel," she called. I turned around to see her eyes welling up with tears again. "What if I get four more warnings? What if I…" She trailed off as I gave her a sarcastic look which I felt awful for doing, seeing her tear-brimmed eyes again.
She sighed. "You're right Angel. It's just a one of the warnings from Luna's guards. Nothing to get worked up on." The yellow mare trotted up to me and kissed me on my forehead, then promptly flew upstairs to bed. That mare ought to know how to control herself and be more assertive. But that's just fluttershy for you I guess. I hopped off to my basket and silently drifted to sleep.
