Now, on with the story.

"Come on, you two, it's time for some AWESOME Rollerskating! There's no time to waste!"

Applebloom laid in her bed (Sweetie Bell her sleeping bag), only half-awake, exchanging tired looks. Scootaloo, on the other hand, was bouncing up and down with glee. Today was the day they tried Rollerskating, which was Scootaloo's idea for a while, insisting they should do it. However, it took the other two a few days to agree. In that while, they'd done Kiting and a few other things, which bored her of her mind. "Come, get up already!" she now said, giving Sweetie Bell a slight kick hoping that would speed things up.

Sweetie Bell, exhausted, managed to say "I'm up, I'm up," as she rubbed her eyes. "Well, I'm gonna leave these rollerskates here, so you can get ready. Meanwhile, I'll see you guys at the Ring!" Scootaloo almost shouted with joy as she lept out of the room.

The other two got out of bed and carried their skates out, becoming more awake and excited as well. "Thanks for letting us crash in your house, Applejack!" Complimented Sweetie Bell as she galloped past the kitchen, where Applejack was eating at the dining table. "No problem! You three have fun!" she chuckled.

As they went outside, streams of sunlight came down upon them. It was scheduled another perfect day in Ponyville, and out in the distance, Sweetie Bell and Applebloom could see the sounds of the ponies moving about in Ponyville.

The other two met Scootaloo at the front of the barn, with her traditional helmet on, and scraping the ground like an alert buffalo, on her scooter. She ushered the other two over. "Come on!" she hollered.

The other two got on the scooter with their skates, and Scootaloo zoomed off past the Acres and into the edge of Ponyville, toward "The Ring" Which was the Rollerskating rink in Ponyville. As they rode past the pony pedestrians walking around, their destination came closer into view. "The Ring, here we come!" they all said together. Suddenly, they slammed into the front door of the place, and flew back.

The three fell onto each other. "Ow!" they said. After a few moments, they managed to get up. "Scootaloo, watch where you're going next time!" snapped Applebloom. "Hey, it's not MY fault," Scootaloo said. She turned her head to the door. "It was..."

The three gaped in shock. It couldn't be! But there it was, in plain, oozing ink on a lined sheet of paper, "CLOSED." "Maybe they're trickin' us," said Applebloom, "and it's just open!"

Scootaloo sprinted to the door, and jumped for the handle. With her hooves on the door and the handle, she tried with all her might to pry it open. "We've waited -- so long -- for -- this -- day! NO!!!" She said. defeated, she landed softly on the grass, and gazed up at the paper sign that seemed to mock her. "You know how long ive waited for this?" she said.

"Scootaloo, it's just a MINOR inconvenience, it's not something to exasperate about." said Sweetie Bell. Applebloom nodded in agreement. "I'm sorry," said Scootaloo. "It's just...Ive waited so long for this."

"Come on, I know where we can go," said Applebloom, with a smile on her face. "Kiting!"

"NO!!!" yelled Scootaloo.

"Yeah, I know, it was just a joke anyway."

"Ooh, ooh, I have an idea!" Chimed Sweetie Bell.

"What?" Said the other two.

"Making cupcakes!!"

"Okay!" Said the fillies. "Sounds fun!"

"Then it's a plan!" Cheered Applebloom as the three got on Scootaloo's scooter and dashed off to Sugarcube Corner.

The three rushed past more Ponyville civilians as they went further into town. Soon they arrived at SugarCube Corner, and the three got off the scooter. they prepared to head in when Scootaloo interrupted, not focused on the place, but something else that caught her eye.

"Hey guys, is that... Rainbow Dash?"

"Rainbow Dash?" Applebloom said. Scootaloo pointed at the Mare, who sat between two Ponyville village houses. She laid there, huddled, her head against the wall. Even in the distance, the three could tell she was not there to sleep or to relax. Her pupils were barely visible, because she had obviously encountered something that scared her deep. in her crossed arms, she carried something mysterious.

"What is she doing here?" Applebloom said. "Ain't she supposed to be flyin'?"

"I have no clue..." Scootaloo replied.

"There's somethin' we gotta do about this! Come on!" Applebloom declared. the three galloped over to the frightened Rainbow Dash.

"Umm, Rainbow Dash, are you okay?" Scootaloo said over her silence of their presence.

Rainbow Dash suddenly shrieked. "AAHH, DON'T--" She pleaded, until her eyes only saw it was the Crusaders. "Oh, sorry. It's just you."

"Rainbow Dash...is...is something wrong?" Sweetie Bell managed to say.

"There's something I must show you, and fast," Rainbow Dash said. "Please, come with me, come with me!" Rainbow Dash then galloped off.

"Something must be wrong," Applebloom said. "Well, DUH!" Scootaloo replied moments later.

"Come on Cutie Mark Crusaders, we outta follow her!" Sweetie Bell chimed.

The three galloped again, to where Rainbow Dash was flying super fast to some unknown location. "Wait up!" they constantly called out. Rainbow Dash was flying faster and faster, until she abruptly stopped, which made the three bump into eachother. They seemed to be in a more empty section of Ponyville. Rainbow Dash fluttered between two buildings again, and called them over. The three sat in this short alley with Rainbow Dash.

"I'm sorry, but, why can't we just read this whatever thing you have in Sweet Apple Acres?" Sweetie Bell murmured.

"Because," said Rainbow Dash, as tears welled up in her eyes. Sweetie Bell handed her a handkerchief. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I shouldn't show you this..." she barely got her words out before she started to sob. With all her wits, she handed them the book.

The book that would change them forever.

---

Rainbow Dash continued to cry as the three opened the hard, black cover of the book. The book seemed to be aged, and was slightly torn. but the black text was readable, and so the fillies read it, word by word. And as they read, their eyes widened, and they read faster and faster, getting more shocked by the minute. Pinkie Pie offers Rainbow Dash a cupcake, which turns into a mass murder as she completely slaughters her. Next, Big Macintosh utterly rapes and slaughters the Cutie Mark crusaders. Next, Fluttershy slices Rainbow Dash in half in her "Shed," where many tinkered, dead animals lay on the walls. Rarity cuts the skin of her victims as she needs them to make her dresses. And finally, their own teacher, Cheerilee, hysterically murders her own students during a School play. When the last page was finished, The three closed the book and sat in a position similar to Rainbow Dash. By this time, evening struck Ponyville.

It was too late for them four, as, reluctantly, the innocence of their world was crushed, and they were forced to face what could be the truth of the people they knew and loved.

"W -- where'd y -- you managed to find this?" Applebloom managed to choke out.

"In the edge of the forest," Rainbow Dash muttered. "I -- it was just laying there, and I got curious."

"I'm sorry, Cutie Mark Crusaders, but I'm not gonna go home." Applebloom scoffed.

"Me neither," replied Sweetie Bell.

The four lay there, only half-conscious, as the stars started to show between the roofs of the two Ponyville houses.

"Since when did you read this, Dash?" Scootaloo said.

"A few days ago," she said. "Ive never been the same since."

A few hours past, as they all thought the same thing. Do the ponies do this?

It couldn't be possible, because if it was true, they would be dead. But the reasons for their actions can sometimes explain the things they've noticed about their friends. For one, Big Macintosh DOES have a secret Apple Cellar basement, which Applebloom discovered. Some ponies have been disappearing lately, and the last time they've seen some of them is at Sugarcube Corner. Cheerilee does sometimes get into fights with herself, as when they exit the class, they can sometimes hear the bangs and crashes of her smashing things, and they've also recently been in a play. Sweetie Bell swears one time while she was near Fluttershy's house, she saw a shed. And, last but not least, the Carousel Boutique DOES have a basement, but Rarity would never let her inside, for whatever reason.

So was this true? Was this book telling them what it desperately wanted them to know?

Or was it just a book of lies, hastily scribbled by a troublemaker with a rather cruel imagination?

The not knowing frustrated them to their strongest extent, but yet they were too afraid of what would happen when they found out. They wanted to know, and they wanted to know badly. But those thoughts were quickly sub-sided as they felt their eyes getting heavier, drowning them into sleep.

---

The four woke up in a pitch-black room. Applebloom woke up first, to find that she could not see anything. her tired eyes gazed around and found nothing. With a sudden realization, she crazily flailed her arms and legs, but found that she could not move them at all. growing with more fear each minute, she tried to speak, but found something clamped in her mouth, which prevented her from possibly screaming. Her eyes adjusted to the darkness, and she saw her friends, also in the same situation as hers. Applebloom did not like the looks of this.

Then, she could hear a voice of someone laughing in a malicious manner. She came to realize that the voice sounded oddly familiar...

"Well, look at you four, all tied up! It took me awhile to find you, too. I'm surprised you had that book with you! I've had to skip an entire session to get YOU four out of the way," it said. Applebloom could not figure what pony it was, but she could see the sillhouette moving in the darkness. She heard the sound of the pony as it pushed a cart toward them. Applebloom cringed as she saw sharp, metallic tools of all kinds on it's top. "Well, guess who's awake!" said the pony as it noticed her. Applebloom didn't want to imagine who it was, but it was too late as it came toward her. She saw the blue eyes, the pink skin, the bloody hair, and of course, the trademark dress, which, Appebloom knew, were stitched together by the Cutie Marks of other ponies she had killed in the past. Applebloom now realized, every piece of the book was true!

And now, she was going to die knowing it!

"Oh, do you like this dress?" Pinkie Pie said, responding to her gaze."I made it myself."

Applebloom couldn't respond. she looked over, for just a second, to see that Sweetie Bell, Scootaloo, and Rainbow Dash were awake, and wide-eyed. Scootaloo started to shake and try to break free, but she too realized she could not move. Pinkie Pie turned her attention to the poor orange filly. "Well, YOU'RE late for sunrise, I see!" she joked. "Even though there's no real sunrise here, it's just black where this is!"

The three others knew the same thing Applebloom knew. But sadly, they could now do nothing, but die. Except, Applebloom realized, there was a small chance of survival. From the corner of her eye (She could not look at it directly, or it will catch Pinkie Pie's attention and they would die) she saw a flaw in Pinkie Pie's slaughter basement. Each of the pony's arms and legs were chained to the wall, EXCEPT for Rainbow Dash's left leg. as she studied the blurred image, she saw that Rainbow Dash noticed too. but how could that help them survive?

"Oh gosh, you naughty ponies! You should never have read that book. sadly, I need you out of the way! THAT'S the reason why you're here. See how nice I am, explaining the reason why you need to go?"

Applebloom knew of Pinkie's one-sided humor, and decided to ignore it.

"Here, I've got something to show you," Pinkie Pie said cheerily. she crossed the room, and came back with a sharp, pointy needle. "Also made by yours truly. You're my first customer to witness this!" she said. "But now, I must do my work. Starting with you."

The other three victims stared at Applebloom, speechless.

Pinkie Pie took a sharp, shiny blade, and slowly brought it closer to Applebloom's flank. "This area here is what you would have had, had you actually earn it! Poor you, you'll never discover your true talent..."

Applebloom ceased in pain as the sharp blade slowly cut deep into your skin. "Don't worry, I'm going easy on you now," Pinkie said. "Of course, you wouldn't be as lucky had I not spent the time getting over the fact that you read that book! Oh, you should've seen me. I was pissed!"

Applebloom, panicking, quickly stared at Rainbow Dash, and then to her leg. Rainbow Dash seemed to faintly notice, and she looked down. Sure enough, her leg was free. She moved it around a bit, but not too much. She stared back up at Applebloom, now with her flank half exposed to the bloody torso underneath. And then Rainbow Dash couldn't take it. She came up with a plan.

Rainbow Dash started waving her leg franticly, and kicking the wall with it, which brought Pinkie's attention. "Well, well, well, I think I made a small mistake in tyeing YOU up, Dash!" she said happily. "You're such a good friend, always reminding me of my flaws! Thanks!" as she crept closer, Rainbow Dash look at her angrily. When she was just about to press the button to have a chain link around her leg, she madly struck it at her face. WHAM!

Pinkie Pie stumbled backwards, and, with a bruise on her head, fell backward and hit the ground, fainted. Rainbow Dash smiled underneath her mouth restraints, and, with Karate skill, raised her leg to a button to remove the chains from her body. she clicked the button with her hoof, and immediately the chains closed off and went back into their holes. she lept on the ground, and crossed Pinkie's body to the Crusaders, which were still chained up. she clicked the button on all three of them, and they fell to the ground.

"Th -- Thanks Dash, I would have been dead -- if it wasn't for you," Applebloom said.

"Yes, but you're still hurt," Dash exclaimed. They looked at Applebloom's right flank, which Pinkie attempted to cut a hole in. It was bleeding immensely, and she needed some medical treatment or she could bleed to death. "Hold on," said Scootaloo, mixing her words from her extreme panic earlier. "I'll go look for bandages." and went to the far corners of the room, checking into some cupboards.

"We don't have much time, guys, Pinkie Pie could wake up any minute," Sweetie Bell said.

"We can't just leave her like that, either." Rainbow Dash said. "We have to do something."

"What are you saying?" Sweetie Bell questioned.

Rainbow Dash let out a tear of sadness, and sighed. "She can't continue to kill the ponies. We have to kill her."

Scootaloo was returning with a large bandaid when she dropped it and stood there, frozen in her tracks. Sweetie Bell shared the same utter silence, until Applebloom let out a yelp of pain. Scootaloo put the bandage on her flank. "It'll do for now," she whispered.

Finally Sweetie Bell snapped, "KILL HER?!"

"Yes," Rainbow Dash said, "What will happen if we left her alive?!"

"She would kill more ponies, right!" Applebloom said. "But what about the Royal Guard?!"

"NO. We can't let anyone know. Instead, we need them to figure it out."

The Crusaders exchanged looks of confusion.

"I know what I'm doing," the cyan pony said. "Just trust me on this, okay?"

The fillies half-nodded their heads, but still had the same confused look.

Rainbow Dash went over to the cart with the tools, and grabbed a knife. Then she knelt down next to Pinkie Pie, and with a swift motion, brought the knife down to her heart. A sharp STAB! noise rang in the fillies ears. Scootaloo was the only one who forced herself to look, and she saw the blood coming from around the knife and spreading onto the floor. "We don't have much time to lose," Rainbow Dash responded. "We have to get out of here."

She turned to the wall, which, to the other fillies realization, had a small window on the top of it. Dash flew to it, and slowly opened it. She then lifted the other three out through the window, and shut it.

"That's one pony down," Rainbow said, "And four more to go."

---

Two days later, The Cutie Mark Crusaders found themselves in Twilight's library, reading books. All three of them could not get over the tragedy that struck Pinkie Pie. Who'd knew that Pinkie Pie was a killer? Who'd knew that NOBODY knew but the ones who were on their way to death? That was something that no one would realize about the innocent Pinkie Pie, so cheery and wanting to have fun and smile. But now, The Cutie Mark Crusaders (and Rainbow Dash) knew the truth. Equestria was not as colorful and happy as one would make it out to be. And now there was no time to play fun and games. The CMC and Dash have a mission. Kill the Killers.

"The Royal Guard is still confronting the scene," Twilight said over the table, where the CMC read their black book. "Supposedly, they say she killed herself. But they also found all sorts of mechanical tools, and a bunch of bloody..." she couldn't finish. The CMC looked up and saw Twilight tearing up. "How could she do that?" she said. "Why did she kill ponies? Why?"

"We don't know," said the CMC at the same time, pretending to not know.

"I'm going over there," Twilight said. "I can't handle being away from her."

She then almost tipped the table over as she bumped into it on her way out.

"Now what?" Applebloom said. "I don't feel like killin' anyone at the moment. Yet at the same time, ah bet my family's worried sick 'bout me..."

Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo had spent the last two days sleeping in boxes in the allies, hoping none of the killers -- or anypony -- would find them.

"I'm too depressed to go Crusading, too," Scootaloo whimpered.

"And we can't even go to the clubhouse, because it's next to Sweet Apple Acres!" Sweetie Belle said. "And I can't go home because of Rarity!"

"And we can't go to school, because of Cheerilee," Scootaloo added.

"We're hopeless," Applebloom declared.

The three were silent for a few moments, not really reading the book anymore but rather gazing around the library.

"I know!" Sweetie Belle said, breaking the silence. "Let's sneak into Sugarcube Corner and see if there's any clue that had to do with this book!"

"Okay, sounds like a plan!" Scootaloo agreed.

The three galloped out the door of Twilight's library and across town to Sugarcube corner. When they arrived, they noticed a crowd of ponies murmuring rumors and whispers to each other out front, and "DO NOT CROSS -- ROYAL GUARD INVESTIGATING" out front. The CMC expected that, as the place had been a crime scene for 2 whole days. CMC slipped in and out of the crowd, secretly heading out to the back of the shoppe. Once there, they found the window that was their escape route just a few days earlier, and looked inside. They saw Royal Guards searching in the room, with their horns which currently produced a spotlight-like light, which flashed across the room as they moved. Fortunately, they did not notice the fillies looking at them.

"Well how are we gonna get n' there?" Applebloom retorted. "Those Royal Guards'll be there all day!"

"Hey, look!" Scootaloo said, pointing at the window. "They're leaving!"

Sure enough, the Royal Guards, done with their work (for now) headed out of the room and up the stairs.

"I stand corrected," Applebloom responded. "Let's head in!"

Silently, the fillies opened the window, and jumped down to the floor. "Let's begin!" Sweetie Belle declared. They searched the room, looking in cabinets, cupboards, drawers and desks, hoping to find some valuable evidence themselves while trying not to make any loud noises. "Hey, guys!" Scootaloo whispered over. "Found something!"

The three headed to the little spot where the sunshine from the window met the floor, and Scootaloo showed them an odd diary she found in one of the upper cabinets. Scootaloo immediately flipped to page one. It was hard to read, as the writer had scribbled on it furiously. faint Tear marks were splotched all over the text, which made it even harder. but they still managed to read :

"Day 1.

Dear Diary, today I am under serious depression. Those ROTTEN ponies I used to call "Friends" didn't come to my second party! The NERVE of them! Today I lay in my basement, crying in endless sadness that I have never experienced before, waiting for something to bring me back to my senses but never has, which just makes me even more sad. I have nothing to do but write on you, diary. I hope you don't mind.

--edit--

As I walked outside to buy a tissue (I ran out of all of them at home) I encountered something STRANGE. No, REALLY STRANGE!!! It was a book! I brought it home, forgetting about the tissues, and read to myself. This book was about a new hobby I could take, a new beginning of my life as long as I kept it secret. I loved whoever came up with this idea, and I had much inspiration. After all, who ever thought of a PONY cupcake? It waters my mouth just THINKING about it! I have some knives off of making cakes, and I can use some of those for my 'new' design of cupcake making. Thanks, book! Love, Pinkie Pie."

The three gaped in shock. They read on. Now the text was swirly and happily written, Pinkie's traditional style.

"Day 6

Sorry I skipped a few days, diary. I was too busy making arrangements for my new cupcake making and I was SO busy that I forgot to write on you! I bet you're proud, huh? See, depression is released! Of course, I faked the fact that I got happy again because of some old party. Oh nononono, A simple party is stupid. I would've really cheered up if they allowed me to stab Rainbow Dash with some kind of butcher knife, but I knew they wouldnt, which was lame. I'm starting to make my list of ponies that I'll kill, and I'll give you the top 5 : Twist, CloudChaser, Cute Lil' Pumpkin and Pound Cake, Granny Smith, and finally, Gilda. Why Gilda? Because eventually I want to experiment with the cupcakes, expanding the variety of them. And yes, I can't wait till Rainbow Dash' number shows up, so that I'll have a little "Special friend treatment" on her! Can't wait! Love, Pinkie Pie."

"THOSE FIVE PEOPLE DISAPPEARED!!!" Applebloom exclaimed, closest to a whisper as she could, but it was still pretty loud. "I thought Granny Smith died of old age! I thought Pumpkin Cake and Pound Cake moved to Canterlot along with Mr. and Ms. Cake! That's what THEY told me!"

"Well, we can't trust 'they' anymore. We can only trust ourselves." Sweetie Belle said. Her statement was very true.

"Keep reading," Scootaloo urged.

"Day 7

Today was my first cupcake, with Twist. She sure was a struggler, but it got easier toward the end. I was happily pleased at the end of my session, and the length of torture for poor old Twist was perfect. Twisting her plot with a drill was such a coincidence as her name is Twist, And I called the cupcake outcome at the end the "Plot Twist" Get it, Diary? Because her name is Twist? and it was made by her plot?

So anyways, setting aside the delicious cupcake, I decided to find use of the other side of the plot, because I only needed one for the cupcake. Finally I decided to make an elegant dress, and make sure it's colorful and pretty. And soon, once I have enough pony organs, I'll make the basement "Party-themed" and make balloons and streamers and all sorts of decoration with the organs of each pony. All my new customers will be so pleased that I've outdone myself! Love, Pinkie Pie."

The three's mouths dropped. They couldn't believe what they were reading.

"I can't read any more of this," Sweetie Belle said. "It's too nauseating."

"We have to," Applebloom said. "It's the only way we can find out more about the book."

"But we already know that Pinkie found the book," Scootaloo said. "What more information do we need?"

Applebloom flipped the pages of the diary to a more recent date. "Whoa, check this out."

"Day 47

Hello again, Diary! Did you like those recent entries I sent you? I tried to describe each kill as vividly as I could, but if only you had eyes! Hmm. That's an interesting thought. Anyways, so was my session with Fluttershy!"

"Wait a second, Fluttershy isn't dead," Sweetie Belle said.

The book seemed to answer her confusion. "While I was cutting off her first flank, she yelled out a very remarkable statement. 'I will let you kill me, Pinkie, because that is the best thing you could ever do to me.' 'Why?' I asked her. 'Because the land above is my sanctuary. It is much better than this one.' Puzzled, I had realized that I was actually HELPING her by killing her, which was not fun at all. 'Okay, Fluttershy, stay here.' I said, coming up with a magnificent plan in my head. I escaped the basement, cleaned myself up, and headed to the Ponyville hospital. Once there, I stole many drugs and pills alike, and slaughtered another doctor quickly, just because I wouldnt get my fun with Fluttershy. Once I headed back, I read the black book further, and, following the instructions it gave me, fused two of the drugs together in a small potion containing Fluttershy's serum. Then, I sucked a small sample out with an injection needle, and injected it into Fluttershy's Cutie Mark. Then, I begun to see my masterpiece at work. Handing Fluttershy my book (which I still miss to this day) I stripped off the chains that hung her, and let her out of the basement. And I knew that she'd never be the same again."

"Wow..." Scootaloo said. "I didn't know she had such an evil mind."

"But this does tell us something," Applebloom said. "This book that we have now is affecting every pony who possesses it. We have to keep anyone from taking the book!"

"Right," agreed Sweetie Belle. However, they were interrupted by the sounds of heavy hoofsteps coming down the stairs. "Quickly!" shouted Scootaloo, and pointed to the window. The three barely managed to escape when the Royal Guard entered the basement again.

"Damn, I could have sworn I heard SOMEthing down here," said one of them.
