The Unusual Family

Three Years later.

In Canterlot it's April 15th, Base's thirteenth birthday. But he really isn't in the mood for playing what he calls 'Foal and Colt's games'. when Booker told him to take his baby brother outside to teach him how to play baseball or any other sports but he told her no calling it "A foal's game."

Bit Counter told him to do on what his mother said. Base told him that he would rather see his baby brother die by swimming in corrosive acid.

Bit Counter and Booker politely Blue and Purple to go to school. So the Blue and Purple did what they were told to do.

Bit Counter and Booker scolded Base on what he said. But they reflected on how they were rebellious to there parents when they started to date and there parents hating each other and hated them when they were dating.

They would sneak out at night to date or a little bit more adult like and make serious love but he would have to hide her when she was over at his house and vice versa but when they announced that when they were going to get wed they decided to finally temporarily bury the hatchet. Only for the holidays and when they got married.

Bit Counter and Booker kissed at the door, Booker told her husband that lately she been thinking about getting a job. She wants his seal of approval or what he thinks about it. He told her if she wants a job then she can go get one. But to do on what she wants to do.

She did her domestic duty of cleaning and planning tonight's dinner. Then she went out and started to apply for a job but her heart was telling her that she belongs home. Especially to be with her adopted pride of joy named Purple Artist but she also wants to have a 2nd income so she won't have to rely on her husband 24/7.

She went outside of the house after eating lunch. She was singing in her head but was outside all day but didn't notice until seeing Base come home from middle school. She asked on how was school where he ignored her, walked in, and slammed the front door shut.

She told herself that when Blue and Purple get to teen hood then they'll be the same as Base. But unknown that Purple will be the only one who won't let his mood or changes change on who he is.

Four days after Base's thirteenth birthday Bit Counter and Booker tried to be friendly to him. They though he is being a bad influence to his baby sister and baby brother but he told them that he doesn't care.

On a nice warm Saturday Purple was outside throwing a football with his adoptive father but Base came out, Purple threw the ball but Base got in the way and it hit him. He told Purple hostilely "I'm going to kill you!".

Base chased Purple. Bit Counter would tell Base to calm down but Purple then ran inside where Booker told Base to stop chasing his baby brother where what he did was a accident.

When they ran around in the kitchen and dining room but when Purple hid behind Booker she said loudly "I SAID STOP!".

She's was ticked off at Base where she told him it was a accident. Purple he threw the ball but he walked in it's path. It wasn't Purple's fault where Base wasn't moving when he threw the ball.

Purple even told his older brother that he's sorry where Base said mockingly then angrily . "I'm sorry... I'm sorry. I'M SORRY DOESN'T FIX EVERYTHING! IT'S YOUR FAULT THAT MOM AND DAD ARE DEAD! IT'S YOUR FAULT WHEN EVERYTHING GOES WRONG!"

Booker then told Base to apologize to his younger brother. Base told her that on why he meant on what he said where he wishes he didn't have a baby brother and that there parents were still alive.

She then used her magic and threw him out of the front door. Her husband asked what the yelling about. Booker told him that she yelled at Base to stop yelling at Purple and stop chasing him. But Base yelled wishing that Purple wasn't born and that there parent's were still alive blaming him that everything that goes wrong.

In the laundry room, Bit Counter and Booker found Purple sitting next to the washer where he's deeply sad. They walked over to him where Booker has a special bond with her adoptive son. She was able to cheer him up where she picked him up with her hooves, place him on her back and took him into the kitchen. They 2 made macaroni and cheese casserole.

At night it was peaceful but the Bit Counter and Booker heard banging on the wall sounds and Bit Counter went into Purple's room to see Base is choking Purple with a blunt object but the unicorn father used his magic to pull Base off of him and take the blunt object.

Purple wasn't breathing where Bit Counter took Purple next door and went into the fire house where he yelled for help. His son isn't breathing but the firefighter ponies took him to the hospital in the ambulance wagon.

Bit couldn't go to sleep he just tossed and turned but he hit his alarm clock when it went off at 6:40 am. His loving and caring wife asked on why Purple isn't out of bed where he's the first one to come and eat. Bit Counter told her that last night that Base was trying to suffocate him with a blunt object. The fire dept took him to the hospital where he has a broken windpipe.

At 8:00 am, Booker went to work for the 1st time at a diner where she's a line cook. At lease her shift wasn't long where it's from 8:00 to 2:30 pm and she makes 120 bits a day. After her first day of work she just galloped over to the hospital like nothing but didn't knock any ponies down.

She was shocked in the waiting room to see her mother and mother-in-law sitting there. They told her that there sorry to hear about Purple but there just hoping that he makes a speedy recovery. She decided to see her son where he stuck a hoof out.

She just said sadly "Purple. Don't worry Purple mommy's here. Mommy already here for you don't worry I'm always here for you."

He couldn't talk due to he had a tube down this throat to help him breath. But Booker saw a tear go down his cheek and she doesn't want him to suffer. She doesn't want to see him suffer but there's nothing she can do it about it. She's split minded about it where she wants him to grow up, get married ,and have a family but she doesn't want him to have a tube down his throat to breathe.

At home, Base came in after school. He was in the kitchen he was looking through the fridge for something to drink. He noticed his sister in the backyard sitting down but deeply sadden. He didn't care on how his sister is feeling not caring that she's sad that Purple is in the hospital.

He asked Bit Counter on what's for dinner but he just flipped the next page of the book he was reading with his magic and ignored him.

It was 3:30 pm when Booker came home and made mac and cheese. She only made enough noodles for her, Blue and her husband but she asked on where there isn't any for him where they just gave him the cold shoulder. But he would try to take a fork and take a bite of there's but they would block him.

Base told them that he's hungry Blue told her older brother that he should've thought of that before he put Purple in the hospital. Booker told him that this is a form of punishment where for nearly killing his brother. So doesn't get nothing to eat.

Base just stormed off to his room slamming the door where he laid down on his bed where he threw a baseball into the air with his wing. Soon the door opened and Bit Counter took all the stuff. So he couldn't read, write, or entertain himself like throwing a ball into the air but he told his adoptive father on that's not fair.

Bit Counter told him "tough luck" and Base should think about it again on not to put his baby brother in the hospital.

Booker told her husband and adopted daughter that the doctors say that it should take five to seven weeks until Purple is out of the hospital but they have to sedate him at night so Purple can sleep peacefully.
