Twilight Writes a Story… or Tries To
It was a beautiful day like any other. The sun was chirping, the birds were shining, and everything was-
“Uggghhhh!!” Twilight Sparkle, the princess of friendship, was writing a story. However, she was running out of ideas. Her number one assistant, Spike, came to her service after hearing her frustration.
“What’s wrong Twilight?” he asked.
“Oh, hey Spike. I’m trying to write a story but I can’t think of anything to write.”
“Well, can I help? I actually have an idea.”
“Really? Let’s hear it then.”
“Okay, so there’s this dragon trying to kidnap a beautiful pony princess. But when he does try to kidnap her, he decides not to since he lo…” Spike suddenly stopped as Twilight gave him a smug look.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Spike asked in confusion.
“I don’t suppose this dragon and pony princess is you and Rarity is it?”
“What?! NO!!… Shut up… They were supposed to be Garble and Celestia.”
“Wait, what?”
“Nothing!”
“Well, thanks for the suggestion Spike.” Twilight sat still for a moment until an idea popped into her head.
“Oh I know!” the alicorn said in excitement.
“What?”
“I’ll take a walk through Ponyville. Maybe I can get some inspiration there.”
As Twilight headed towards the front door, something, or, someone, stopped her in her tracks.
“Wait! Twilight! Can I come too?”
Twilight rolled her eyes. “Sure Spike.”
Twilight and Spike set off on their journey. On their way, they met somepony none other than-
“Hey Twilight! Hey Spike!” greeted Pinkie Pie.
“Good morning Pinkie Pie,” said Twilight
“Whatcha doin?”
“Me and Spike were heading off somewhere since I don’t have an idea of what to write in my story.”
“Well maybe you could head to Canterlot, or Neighagra Falls, or the Everfree Forest.”
“Oh wow, those are some good suggestions. How did you think of those?”
“Pinkie-Sense.”
“Well we’ll definitely check those places out. Thanks Pinkie.”
Pinkie nodded as she bounced away to… Pinkie somewhere else.
“So where to Twilight?” Spike asked.
“Hm, I’m not sure Spike. Even with Pinkie’s great suggestions I’m still not getting that… spark for my story.”
“Well we can just keep on walking till something gives you an idea.”
“Then I guess we’re doing that.”
After walking for a little while, Twilight and Spike decided to just go with Pinkie’s suggestions. First was Canterlot. Twilight and Spike hung out with their old friends, Minuette, Twinkleshine, Lemon Hearts, and even Moon Dancer. They talked, had lunch, and played games.
“Well, it’s time for us to go,” Twilight announced. “Hope to see you girls next time. Twilight and Spike then waved to the unicorns signaling a ‘bye’ (cause, what else could that mean).
“Bye,” replied the unicorns.
Next on Pinkie’s Suggestions of Places to Go was Neighagra Falls. Spike and Twilight went on a cruise looking at the pouring waterfalls and going barrel-jumping. After a little more messing around, Twilight and Spike sat down looking at the waterfalls one last time.
“You know Spike. I think with all this traveling, I know just what to write for my story. Everfree Forest will most likely have some interesting stuff, which is where we’re headed off to.”
As Twilight stood up, Spike quickly stopped her in her tracks.
“Wait. Before we head off, do you still have any extra bits?”
“Yeah? Why?”
“I want to make a wish in the waterfall. Er, well not literally. I meant just make a wish and flick the bit into the waterfall.”
Twilight rolled her eyes knowing that this is only usually common around wells but didn’t bother to argue with Spike. She gave Spike the bit, he made his wish, and flicked the bit into the waterfall.
“Okay. Now can we go?”
Spike nodded his head ‘yes’.
With that, Twilight and Spike traveled back to Ponyville to head to their last destination, the Everfree Forest. The two had met up with Zecora, making potions together. Before they headed home, Zecora lent them some potions and they finally headed home… or, Spike thought they were.
“Uh, Twilight? Home is that way.”
“Well, I know that. It’s just, I still feel like there’s something my story is missing. That’s why I think we should head further into the forest.”
“Uh, okay.”
Twilight and Spike trekked further into the Everfree Forest. The further they headed in, the darker it got. Twilight then bumped into something.
“Oops. Sorry Spike.”
“Uh, Twilight. You didn’t bump into me.”
“What?”
Twilight then emitted light from her horn to see that she had bumped into none other than-
“AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! TIMBERWOLVES!!!!”
“Would you guys please stop interrupting me?!” yelled the narrator.”
“Shut up Narrator!... AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!”
“What’s wrong Twi-OH MY GO-I mean, CELESTIA!! TIMBERWOLVES!!!!”
“Let’s get outta here!” the alicorn announced.
Spike clumsily hopped onto Twilight’s back as she zoomed away as fast as she could with three, ferocious timberwolves on her tail.
“Wait! Can’t you just teleport us out of here?”
“Oh yeah.”
Twilight safely teleported herself and Spike out of the forest. They then quickly headed back to Ponyville.
As the two were on their way home, their friends, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash came running towards them.
“Twilight. Spike. Just where on Earth have you two been?” asked Applejack.
“Yeah. We’ve been looking all over for you two,” Rainbow Dash added.
“Well, I’ve been trying to write a story but couldn’t think of any ideas. While walking around Ponyville, I met up with Pinkie Pie and she suggested some places for my story.”
Everypony then looked at the party pony.
“What?”
“Anyway, we’ve been looking for you two since today is the Grand Galloping Gala!” said Rarity.
“OHH yeah. I guess I was so determined to get ideas for my story that I forgot that the gala was today.”
“So? Are you coming?” asked Pinkie.
“Of course. That sounds great.”
“Aw,” Fluttershy said with a small smile. “Spike looks so cute when he’s sleeping.”
Everypony turned their attention to the sleeping little dragon on Twilight’s back.
“Awwwwww,” they all said.
“I’ll put Spike to bed and be right back. Looks like we’ve been through a long journey.”
Twilight headed back to the Golden Oak Library to put Spike into bed. She then headed to the Carousel Boutique to meet her friends. Rarity gave everypony their dresses and they all headed to the gala.

Twilight opened the door to the Golden Oak Library and headed upstairs. “Whew, what a day.” Twilight headed to her desk and turned on the lamp. The alicorn slowly walked up to Spike who was sleeping tightly.
“Thanks for going on this journey with me Spike. I don’t really say this very much when we go on journeys together, well, other than that time we went through the Crystal Mirror, it’s just that, you make my journeys a lot better if I went on them alone. So thank you, again.”
Twilight kissed Spike’s forehead and walked back to her desk.
“I now know what to write for my story.” Twilight picked up a piece of paper and a quill and started writing her story.
Author's Note
I'm overall mixed whether this is a good comeback story or not. My idea was that... well I didn't have any at the time. I didn't know what to write so that's what I did for Twilight in this story... until ideas started to come up further in the story. Does that make sense?
