Fluttershy reached into her saddlebag and pulled out some acorns. " Bye little squirrels." She pranced off through the forest. Above, something was following her through the trees. Fluttershy stopped and listened. " H-hello, is anyone there?" She asked, her ears were down. She kept turning, trying to find out what the noise was. " Is that you little bird friends?" There wasn't any noise anymore. She kept on walking. Behind her, a snake's head came down from the tree. It flicked it's tongue a few times. Fluttershy froze, then turned around. She calmed down to see it was an animal. " Oh, you scared me." She walked toward the snake. It's large, yellow eyes just stared at her. " You seem friendly. Your such a nice snake." " Why thank you." The snake said. Fluttershy's eyes widened. She stepped back. " Y-you can talk!?" She said. " Yesss my dear. I hope I didn't scare you." He said in his most polite voice. Fluttershy was still standing there. Since she wasn't responding, Kaa let a ring out. She calmed down. " Oh, I'm sorry, it's just I was a little frightened." She said. " It'ssss quite alright, many people are scared of me." " Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I'll be your friend." Kaa smiled. He wound around Fluttershy's neck. She enjoyed the smooth coil. It felt so soothing. " Would you like to sssee where I live? " Kaa asked. " Oh, I don't know, I should really check on the other animals." She said. Fluttershy ducked under Kaa's coil and walked off. He didn't want her to get away. Kaa came in front of her. " I insissst you sstay a while." He let a few more rings come out. Fluttershy mirrored his eyes for a moment. Kaa lowered his tail. Fluttershy turned around and walked over to it. He wrapped his coils around Fluttershy's middle to get a secure grip before lifting her into the tree. Fluttershy looked around the tree. Most of it was engulfed in Kaa's green coils. " Wow, you're a really long snake." Fluttershy said. Kaa just came up into the tree. " Oh, I forgot to asssk what your name isss." Kaa said. " My name is Fluttershy."She said. " What a lovely name." Kaa commented. Fluttershy blushed. " And my name, isss Kaa." Fluttershy saw that the sun was getting higher in the sky. And there was still lots of animals to check up on. " Well, it was nice to meet you, but I have to check on the animals." She pulled herself out of Kaa's coils and started flying. " W-wait!" Kaa shot out his tail and grabbed her back-right ankle. Fluttershy turned around and hovered in the air. " A pretty pony like yoursself sshouldn't fly around without getting some ressst firsst." Kaa said. Fluttershy landed on the branch. " I have been pretty busy lately. Maybe I could use a little rest and relaxation." Kaa smiled at the word,'relaxation'. " I can help you relaxxx." Kaa said, a bit of an evil look in his eyes. Fluttershy didn't notice. " Really? That sounds interesting. Ok, I'll stay a little longer." Kaa took his tail off of her ankle and again wrapped it around her middle. He lifted her into the air and laid her on his coil hammock. She leaned up against it. " This is really comfortable. Thank you Kaa." Fluttershy said, smiling at him. Kaa swayed the coil. " Now, jussst lay back, and I'll help you relaxx." Fluttershy just laid back and stared forward. This was going to be easy. She already trusted him, and, she was tired. It wouldn't be long before she was hypnotized. A butterfly flew onto her hoof. " Oh, hello. Aren't you a pretty butterfly." It then flew off. And she liked pretty colors. Kaa snickered to himself. It'll be a snap. " Ok, I know sssomething that'll really help you relax." Kaa said. He brought his head in front of hers. His eyes started flowing with beautiful rings of color. Fluttershy couldn't look away. She kept staring. After a few minutes, her eyes reflected his. She smiled and leaned forward to get a better view. It wouldn't be long now. Kaa brought his tail down and started wrapping up Fluttershy. Since she was so small, it only took a few minutes to coil her. " There issn't that more comfortable." Kaa bobbed his head up and down, causing her to nod. The sun was setting. He wanted to keep Fluttershy, make sure no one was around and looking for her. The spirals in her eyes were spinning more rapidly now. Soon, she'd be his. Kaa had an evil smile on his face. And the final thing Fluttershy remembered was a tiny *ping*. A huge smile broke out on her face. Kaa ceased his hypnosis. " That actually ssseemed too eassy." Kaa chuckled to himself. He came right up to Fluttershy's face. He used his hypnosis again. " It'll be dark ssoon. You should go to sssssleep." Fluttershy let out a big yawn. Her eyes started to droop. And soon, feel asleep. She wriggled out of Kaa's coils. He woke up from the movement. Kaa had a worried look on his face. Looks like the hypnosis has worn. He wrapped her up again. " Look Kaa, I appreciate you kindness, but I really must get going." She said in a scared tone. Even though she was hypnotized, she did not remember what happened last night. Kaa pulled her closer to his face. " Your not going anywhere my dear." He said, an evil look on his face. Fluttershy squeaked from fright. Kaa's eyes again swirled with blue, green, and yellow rings. She was instantly enticed by their beauty. Once she started smiling, Kaa sat her on the branch. " Flutterssshy, I want you to go into town, and bring me back another pony." He said, still using his hypnosis. Fluttershy nodded. Kaa sat her down on the ground. She wobbled a moment before walking off to Ponyville. Kaa followed her to the edge of the Everfree Forest as she slowly walked toward town. - Rainbow Dash was in town practicing her stunts. She flew up into the air as fast as she could, did a loop-da-loop, spun around a cloud, glided up into the air, and finally dived back down, pulling up before she crashed. Fluttershy had just arrived to see her finish. " Another great day of practice." Rainbow Dash said, complimenting herself. " You did a great job." Someone said. Rainbow turned around to see Fluttershy, smiling at her, she didn't notice the rings in her eyes. " Hey Fluttershy, what's goin on?" She asked, trotting over to her. " Oh, nothing. I just came to ask you if you wanted to race." Rainbow looked surprised, Fluttershy had never asked her to race before, but she wasn't going to turn down a challenge. " Alright, where are we racing to?" Rainbow asked. Fluttershy pointed to the Everfree Forest. Rainbow was shocked. " You want to race over Everfree Forest?" Fluttershy nodded. They got into their racing position. They leaned down, wings open, pawing the ground. " Ready, set, GO!" Fluttershy said. Both ponies took off flying as fast as they could. Normally, Fluttershy would never fly that fast, but she wasn't in control of her actions. When they approached the forest, Fluttershy slowed down until she was hovering right at the edge. Rainbow Dash was still flying as fast as she could over the dense forest. Suddenly, without warning, a tail shot out from the trees and quickly wrapped around her ankle. She nearly crashed once the tail was fully wrapped around. She kept flying upward, trying to pull herself out of it's grip, but instead the tail continued up along her body until two thick coils were wrapped around her middle. The coils pulled her into the trees, there was nothing she could do. One of the coils unwrapped from her ankle to hold her up. Kaa came over to see her. He turned his tail to face her. " Hello there, I am Kaa. May I assk what your name isss?" Kaa asked. Rainbow Dash was frightened, she had never encountered a snake this large before. She pulled herself out of Kaa's coils and took off in a dash. Fluttershy flew up to Kaa. " Don't let her get away!" Kaa pointed at Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy flew as fast as she could after her. Rainbow Dash turned around to see Fluttershy following her. " Fluttershy! C'mon, let's get outta here!" Rainbow said excitedly. Instead of hugging her, Fluttershy grabbed her and started flying back to the Everfree Forest. " What are you doing?! We're going the wrong way!" Rainbow yelled. She pulled herself free from Fluttershy and flew away. Fluttershy followed after her. Rainbow Dash hid in a cloud, hoping she wouldn't find her. " Come out Rainbow Dash." Fluttershy said, slowly flying through the sky. Rainbow laid down in the cloud, trying to be as quiet as possible. She felt something grab her tail and pull her out of the cloud. It was Fluttershy, she grabbed Rainbow Dash again and flew back to the Everfree Forest. Kaa brought his tail out and wrapped her up again, only this time, his grip was more secure. " How about we try again. What iss your name?" Kaa asked again. She continued to struggle. He squeezed her, Rainbow gasped for breath. " It's *gasp* Rainbow Dash *gasp*." She chocked out. Kaa loosened his grip. " There, wasss that sso hard." Rainbow Dash wasn't about to give up though. She took a big huge breath and closed her eyes. " HEEELLLLPPPP MEEEEEE!!!!" She screamed. Kaa couldn't take the noise, he slipped his tail over her mouth, muffling her cry. His eyes once again were filled with rings of color. " Would you pleasssse quiet down." He said, coming closer to her. Rainbow Dash opened her eyes. She came face-to-face with Kaa, his eyes pulsing with beautifully colored rings. She stopped screaming. Her eyes reflecting his. It was all going according to his plan. He didn't take his tail off her mouth, just incase the hypnosis wore off and she started screaming again. " Get sssome resst little pegassusss." Kaa soothed, he kept lightly squeezing. She became more and more relaxed with each squeeze. Her eyes started to droop. Kaa wickedly smiled. She kept fighting to stay awake, which only further exposed her to Kaa's hypnosis. He removed his tail to find her starting to smile. It was working, she couldn't last much longer. Fluttershy landed next to Kaa. " Very good Fluttersshy." Kaa complimented. She smiled. " It'ss alssso time for you to go to sssssleep." Kaa said. Fluttershy started to lay down. She laid down her head and closed her eyes, awaiting for what her master wanted next. He turned to face Rainbow Dash again. Her hypnosis was starting to wear off, her eyes lifting and her smile disappearing. He brought his face closer to her, forcing the hypnosis in. Her eyes drooped again and her smile returned. Kaa calmed down. " Get sssome resst little pegassusss." Kaa soothed again. Rainbow Dash's eyes closed. She drifted off into a deep sleep. He brought his coil down to Fluttershy and wrapped her up too. The two pegasi were back-to-back their head leaning down as they slept. The two walked to the edge of the branch and took off, flying towards Ponyville. - Applejack was in town buying some things for her family. Her saddlebags full from everything like food and apple seeds. She walked back towards her house. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash landed behind her. " Hey Applejack." Rainbow Dash said. She turned around to see her good friends. " Well howdy there. What'cha'll doin?" She asked. " We were going to see if you wanted to see a friend of ours." Fluttershy replied. " He really likes apples." Applejack thought about this for a moment. " Alright, just let me drop off some things at the farm and we can go." Applejack walked to the farm while Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy flew over her. She emptied out her saddlebags and filled them with apples and emergency rope instead. " Ok, we can go now." The left the farm, Applejack followed the two pegasi to the edge of the Everfree Forest. She stopped. " Whoa-ho, I ain't goin' in there." She said, backing away slowly. " C'mon Applejack, don't chicken out now." Rainbow Dash said. " Besides, our friend is only a little ways in there." Fluttershy comforted. " Well, alright, if you say so." She slowly walked in, the two pegasi leading her to where Kaa was waiting. Applejack started getting worried. It seemed like they'd been walking forever,(even though it's only been half an hour), and she didn't like this place. " How much longer till we get to this 'friend' of yours?" She asked. They stopped. " We're here. Rainbow said. It was only a clearing surrounded by trees. No one was here. " Are y'all sure your friend's here?" Applejack asked. They started searching the bushes. " I don't see nothin'." Applejack yelled. She felt something wrap around her leg, and was suddenly pulled up into the air. Her saddlebags fell off. " LET ME GO!! I'm warnin ya. I'm the four time Rodeo Competition champion!" She swing her hooves left and right, trying to hit the person who grabbed. " Calm down, I won'y hurt you." A voice said. She opened her eyes to see an upside down snake. He smiled at her. " AAAHH!!! LET ME GO, LET ME GO!!" She yelled, trying to wriggle free. Kaa decided to toy with her before hypnotizing her. " Alright, if you inssissst." He let her go. Applejack started falling toward the ground. " AAAHH!!! GRAB ME GRAB ME!!! She yelled. When she opened her eyes, her snout was an inch away from touching the ground. Her eyes widened, sweat poured down her face from fright. Kaa slowly pulled her back up into the tree. " I'm sssorry." He said, setting her back down on the branch. " Iss that better insstead of upsside down?" He asked. " A lot better." She replied. She reached behind her to reach into her saddlebag. It wasn't there. " Hey!? Where's my saddlebags?" She asked. Kaa lowered his tail down and pulled up the saddlebags. " Isss thiss it?" He asked, holding it out to her. She grabbed it and put back on her. " Why thank y'all kindly. I'm Applejack. And who are you Mr. Snake?" She asked. " Of coursse, I am Kaa." He said. Applejack reached into her bag and pulled out a big red apple. " Since ya saved me in all, I thought I'd give you an apple. Grew it myself." She showed the apple to Kaa. He took it from her. " Thanksss ssso much." He said, putting the apple on a higher branch for later. " I'd best be on mah way. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash want to show me a friend of there's. She started walking, trying to find a branch she could lower herself onto. " Oh. That would be me." Kaa said, Applejack turned around. " Really, your their friend?" Applejack asked, walking over. " Yes. They probably wanted me to ssshow you a trick I can do." " A trick?" She said. " Would you like to sssee it?" He asked. " Alright, since it's that good." Kaa came closer to her. " Oh well, why don't we head back then." Rarity replied. " Wait! There they are!" Applejack said pointing to a bush. Rarity ran over to grab them. But on the other side of the bush, there was nothing. When she turned around Applejack was gone. She heard a hissing noise from the trees. " Hello there." A voice said. She turned to face a massive python. She nearly fainted with fright. " Do not be afraid. I am Kaa. And who might?" Kaa asked. " I'm Rarity, have you happened to see any gems around here?" She said, looking around. " Why yess, I did. Sssome poniess took them a little while ago." Kaa lied. " Thank you, I should head back and finish my dress." Rarity turned and started walking away. Kaa had to think of something quick. " Wait. Could you maybe help me fix up my old ssscales. They're not as beautiful asss they ussed to be." Rarity couldn't refuse someone who needed beauty tips. " Why of course I can." She said trotting over to Kaa. He lowered his tail down for her to look at. Rarity examined the green tail. " Oh yes, you do need some fixing up. Nothing a little mud can't do." She found some mud and mixed it up with a bit of sand. She came over to rub it on. Before she could put it on, Kaa moved his tail. She kept trying to put the mud on. " Hold still." She said, trying to put the mud on. He lifted his tail and Rarity met Kaa's color filled eyes. She dropped the mud and stared at him. Her eyes soon mimicked his. " I think my sscales look jusst fine now." He teased her. Kaa brought his tail back down and wrapped Rarity up. Once she was fully wrapped, Kaa came closer to her. " You can finissh your dresss tomorrow. It'sss time for you to resst." Kaa smiled. Rarity closed her eyes and fell asleep. Below, Applejack came out from the bushes. She stood under the tree, ready for Kaa to get her. After setting Rarity on a branch with the other two sleeping pegasi, he brought his tail down, wrapped it around her, and hoisted her back into the tree. Pinkie gasped with excitement " Awesome! But where's the party?" She said, looking around the empty room. " Follow us if you want to see it." Rainbow Dash said. They all left. Near the outskirts of the Everfree Forest, there was a large picnic blanket set up with all kinds of stuff. There was cake and ice cream laid out, balloons were staked to the ground, a radio to dance to, and Pin-the- tail-on-the-pony up on a tree. " This is gonna be awesome!" They all had a good time. Fluttershy left and came back with a beach ball. They all threw it around. Applejack threw it to Pinkie Pie, but it flew over her head and far into the Everfree Forest. " Don't worry gals, I'll get it." Pinkie said. She hopped off into the forest. She hopped for a while but stopped, seeing all the scary things in the forest. " There it is!" She said, the ball resting at the foot of a tree. She ran over to it. Pinkie tried to pick it up but something was weighing it down. " Huh?" She tried again. But instead of it staying on the ground, it floated in the air. " What's going on?" She asked no one. Kaa's head came behind Pinkie. He turned the ball so she's face him. " Hello." Kaa said. Pinkie just blinked at him. " I'm Kaa, who are you." Pinke just blinked again. But the question slowly set in. " M-my name's p-p-Pinkie Pie." She said, slightly shaking. " Hello Pinkie, I wass jusst wondering if you wanted to play sssome ball. I haven't played in a long time." Pinkie smiled. Kaa set her back on the ground. " Sure, I'll play." Kaa threw the ball over to Pinkie, and Pinkie threw it back. They kept throwing the ball back and forth when Kaa hit it a little too hard and it again flew over Pinkie's head. " Oopss. Sssorry." Kaa apologized. " It's ok, I'll get it." She turned around to grab the ball when she felt something on her back legs. He brought all of them up to the tree and set them on a branch. He yelled, not knowing she left. Spike ran down the stairs holding the book. On the last step he tripped and fell. The book fell open in the K section. On the page was a picture of Kaa " Spike! Are you ok!?" Twilight asked, running over and helping him up. Spike rubbed his head. " Yeah. I found the book." He looked at Fluttershy, he noticed the colorful rings but didn't say anything. " Great, please put it back." Twilight asked, and walked out the door with Fluttershy. Instead, Spike read the page about Kaa. It read: Kaa Rock Python Kaa the python is a very large, green snake with dark green spots and large yellow eyes. He constantly follows ponies that wander into the Everfree Forest. -That's where Twilight's going.- Spike thought to himself. He kept reading. He may be just a snake, but he's more smarter and more charming than any other living snake. Kaa befriends ponies he meets. Even though he helps them, it's not with good intentions. After befriending them, he hypnotizes them with colorful rings. Then he has the pony get his/her friends and bring them to him. Once he has enough, he starts eating them one by one. Spikes eyes widened. " TWILIGHT!!!!" - Fluttershy and Twilight were just entering the forest. They searched around for Angel " Any sign of him?" Fluttershy asked. " No." Twilight said, searching in a bush. When she turned around, Fluttershy was gone. " Fluttershy?" Twilight asked, walking toward where she was. She looked around a little bit. She heard a chuckle behind her. " Who's there?" She asked, circling around. Kaa came down in front of her. " Hello there little unicorn." Kaa said, bringing his tail over to stoke her mane. She backed away. " Have you seen my friend?" She asked, making sure not to lower her guard, she didn't trust the snake yet. " I haven't ssseen any other poniesss in this foresst besssidess you." Kaa lied. Twilight sighed. " Well have you seen a bunny?" She asked, brightening up. " No, sssorry." Kaa said. Twilight sighed again. " Don't worry, I'm sure you'll find your friend and bunny. Oh how rude of me, I forgot to introducce mysself. My name isss Kaa." " Hello Kaa, I'm Twilight Sparkle." Twilight said. Kaa smiled, seeing she was calming down a bit. He stroked her mane, this time she didn't refuse. Instead of freaking her out, she actually found getting stroked soothing. She smiled as Kaa stroked her. Since she was the smart one, he decided not to play with her for long. It was time to hypnotize her. While she was enjoying the stroking, Kaa started wrapping around her. " Huh, what's going on?" Twilight asked. She saw the large coils wrapped around her. " What are you doing Kaa?" Twilight asked, wriggling to get out of the coils. He squeezed her slightly to stop her from moving. Once she met his eyes, his coils returned to the way they were and her horn stopped glowing. It wasn't long before her eyes were filled with colorful rings and she started smiling. And soon she fell asleep. Kaa stopped his hypnosis and put her with the others. He finally did it, Kaa had all the ponies. It was getting late, instead of Kaa eating one now, he decided to wait till tomorrow. Leaftop was still sleeping in his. She quietly opened the door and headed toward Applejack's farm. - She arrived soon, but Applejack wasn't out bucking apples. " Hey Big Mac! Have you seen Applejack?" She asked. " Nope." Big Mac replied. " Ok, thanks anyway." She left, this time heading to Rarity's shop. " Rarity, you here?" She yelled into the store. Rarity didn't come down from the stairs as she usually did. She left, feeling a little down hearted. She went to Fluttershy's cottage. Angel was outside eating carrots. " Angel, have you seen Fluttershy?" Fireheart asked the bunny. Angel just shrugged. Now she went to Sugarcube Corner, where Pinkie Pie usually was. She walked in. " Hello Mr. and Mrs. Cake." Fireheart said. " Hello there Fireheart." Said Mr. Cake. " Your looking for Pinkie aren't you." Mrs. Cake said. Fireheart nodded. " Sorry, I haven't seen her for a while." " Ok, bye then." Fireheart went toward Rainbow Dash's house. " Hey RD, you wanna have a race?" She asked, nocking on her door. " Rainbow?" She opened it to find the house empty like the others. There was only one pony left. Twilight. " Twilight, you here?" She asked opening the door. " No, she's not." Spike said, coming down from the stairs, looking sleepy. " She went to the Everfree Forest and never came back." He explained. " Well, I'll go look for them." She turned around to leave. " Wait!" Spike shouted. He grabbed a book of the table. " Take this, I think it'll help you. Bye." She left for the forest. - The forest looked dark as she approached it. Fireheart summoned up all the courage she could as she walked through the dense, leafy forest. She grabbed the book from her saddlebag. " Now what's this book. Mythologic Creature of Equestria." It said on the cover in silver letters. She opened the book and flipped through the pages until she reached the page about Kaa. " Huh, what's this?" She saw the picture of Kaa before noticing something in the trees. It was a familiar rainbow colored tail. " Rainbow Dash." She whispered. Fireheart carefully flew up into the trees. Instead of finding just Rainbow Dash, she found her, Fluttershy, Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack. They were all sleeping in something green and cold. " What happened to you all?" She whispered. Fireheart felt something slowly wrapping around her legs. It felt cold, like what the other ponies were sleeping in. In front of her, a snake's head came down from the trees. " Hello there little pegasssus." The snake said. Fireheart felt uncomfortable. Despite her never meeting this snake, he somehow looked familiar. She stared at the other sleeping ponies. Kaa turned to see what she was looking at. " What happened to them!?" She asked. " Oh, ahh, umm. They fell asssleep after we were done playing." Kaa lied, hoping she'd buy it. Then it hit her. She knew who it was, it was the snake from her book. Before Kaa knew it, she flew off into the tree. He didn't know where she went, but he followed the trail she left in the leaves. Suddenly, she appeared behind the ponies. " Wake up." She said, shaking them one by one. Once they were awake, they all groaned. " Ugh, what happened?" Twilight asked, rubbing her head. " My head hurts." Rainbow Dash groaned. " Where am I?" Fluttershy asked. Kaa appeared behind them. They all were fully awake and angry. " Uh oh." Kaa was scared, they all were giving him mean looks. " I remember that snake!" Applejack said. " He did something to me." " Us too." The others replied. Kaa gulped. Apple jack found her saddlebags and got her rope out of it. Without warning, Pinkie started jumping on top of him. Then, Rarity, smacked him in the face with a branch. Next, Rainbow Dash threw him down on the branch. Fluttershy just gave him 'The Stare'. Applejack chocked him with her rope. And finally, Twilight imprisoned in a cage of magic. " Don't ever, bother us again." Twilight said menacingly. Kaa nodded. Then she through him far off into the forest. They all ran over and hugged Fireheart. " Thanks so much for saving us!" Applejack said. " Yeah, if it weren't for you, we'd be snake food." Rainbow Dash said. Fireheart blushed, no one ever really congratulated her. " Let's go before he comes back." Twilight said. They all got down from the tree and headed back to Ponyville.
