Mobile Suit Gundam: Lost Luminityby Alines ReinhardChaptersPilotChapter 1Chapter 2Path to warPilot"The city belows looks awesome! I could see we'll never get anything near that in our world!" A private squeezes when he sees a strange city, topped on a mountain that is surrounded by nothing but a sea of clouds. It's whiteness with some golden stripes make the pale blue haired guy, sitting calmly on the chair, suddenly remember something. "Nah... Those dreams just haunt me all over again", he shook his head. "Hey John! What's goin' on, buddy?" "Nothing Sir! I just randomly got a headache." he answered. The descent took the ship about a good 1 hour, giving it's hangar crew enough time to prepare for the landing process. "Well... Guess the Maretime Bay Avenger had to delay a few minutes due to traffic. Probably because of security reasons. We don't know!", a voice came up on the speaker, "All personnel were required to stay in position until further notice. Thank you!" John keeps panning his eyes to the city, desperately trying to find a piece of memory that have lost through years. Sometimes, people could find someone, something or a scenario that is familiar without remembering where they have seen or experienced them. -That's not possible, this is a completely different world! - he mumbled. ... John was somewhat a normal guy(as called "Not too handsome, not too ugly" by his comrades), living in a little town at Side 2. Before assigning to this operation, he had some experience of being a police officer at where he lives, so he was considered to have some morale for the Federation. "I think we need this guy!", an officer said to his friends after John found out he passed the test. The reason for his action was simple: he was trying to make more money. Being a cop in a suburban area of a rather peaceful colony is not a very profitable job, as well as a bit too boring for him. "Haha, you really joined this because being a cop was too boring? Welp, totally understand!", a comrade said to him during a conversation: -Pretty weird for you to patrol that area! -Why? -That suburban area was a real estate project. People barely move there! Why are you working as a cop in the first place? This brings him back to the year he started to question his memory, when he constantly dreamed of a small town lying by the sea. A place where there it's occupants are not human, but are small horses roaming around like humans. He saw a group of pony friends who are extremely caring about each other, befriending a red coated pony who he assumed was his partner. He was seen roaming around the town, as a pony, seeing others smiling at him, giving a wave, or chatting with him... He remembered those dreams like it was a memory... Or are those dreams actually memory? After the mountainous city was vanishing from view, John got back to his seat. "All personnel hold your position, we will be landing at Maretime Base in about 15 minutes!", the speaker announced. "Those horse pun... Why the Federation top bras started to obsesses about horses?", ... A light bump announced that the ship had landed safely. "Pack your stuff! We are gonna get a larger room...", an officer said to his subordinate, "...after all of you pilots have gathered at the left mission room, I will disseminate what we will do here!" But after packing all of his luggage to his new room, John decided to get out of the ship, the place that he was in for 3 days, to have some fresh air and sightseeing. Across the bay was a small town, lying over a rock cliff, looking out of the sea, just like what he had seen in his dreams. Houses are built with a huge variety of paints, making the town overall look like an Italian town he saw in a magazine. On top of the highest hill of the town, lay a huge glass building with, as much as he could see, a pink glass-shaped logo on top. But one thing that stood out all of that, is a light house with white and red stripes, which he finds strangely familiar. "I think I have seen this a few times... No! Countless times!", John thought to himself. After a few minutes of standing on a busy landing pad, where people are busy unloading and loading cargo, ammunition, weapons,... John decided to get inside. ... "So, as we have known, we are here to help a coup that will overthrow a corrupted government and perhaps protect the new government that soon followed it. But before that, we must try to destroy a group of rebels who are preventing this revolution from occured...", the officer said "... as far as I know, they are hiding in a wood that is called Bridlewood, a perfect place for hiding weapons and heavy equipment..." John looked around the room. There is only a group of 5 mobile suit pilots sitting with him in the dark mission room, with the only light source appearing to be the main screen. According to his commanders, Lieutenant Joe Offshore, this is an extremely classified operation that only a handful of people on board know exactly where they are going and what they actually do. Even John, a test pilot, doesn't really understand the inhabitants of the place that he and his ship was sent to. "I just heard they send us to Europe", one of his comrades told John, "... somewhere in Italy, I presume, but we have to stay in the base 24/7 anyway!" The Pegasus-kai class ship was docking at a huge depot that was somewhat another small town with a small airport with just a single dirt runway, some warehouses and temporary buildings. The whole place shares some characteristics of both a temporary city and a fully built base like the infamous Torrington base in Australia. But they don't have to stay in Maretime Base for long. The base is actually a depot, so the Maretime Bay Avenger only have to stay for refueling, loading important supplies and ammunition to get to her permanent base near a Luna Titanium-ish mine ("Luna Titanium-ish" how John's commander prefer to an alloy that the mines are currently mining). The ship was expected to leave the next day. ... John mostly prefers to sit alone in the canteen each time he has a meal there. Although he does talk to some, the fact that he doesn't have any close friends on the ship, as well as his entire career since he joined the Federation 3 years ago. The Heimdall Unit that John served in is a special operation unit that serves mostly on secret missions, this time, according to most of the ship's personnel knowledge, was about to put down a rebellion. Therefore, most of the crew are people from noble families and families with deep military relationships. The Unit mostly serves as a unit dedicated to help testing mobile suits for the Federation. John was a test pilot for a special unit that was brought along with the ship, so he also joined the crew of Maretimebay Avenger. "Hey! Weirdo!", a voice came up on his left. It was Johann Esper, the first kid of a Federation officer. John, as well as the rest of the ship, views him as a bullier. He often go around the ship with his gang of about 5 others personnel to take money and their personal stuff with a request to do something for them, often stupid things or they will lost those stuff forever. John tries to defend those poor guys at first, but he has to let them do what they want. After that one time they beat him to the point he lost 2 teeths and got in trouble with the commander. "Where is that "My Little Pony" image you kept?" "It's garbage. I already threw it." John answered. "My information source suggests otherwise..." another guy ,with a kid-like voice trying to mimic the voice of adults, said. "I just saw him pull it out with my own eyes!" "Give me that, douchebag! You obviously are not a human, right?" "Didn't I just tell you I already thought about it?" The 1.9 meter tall giant took the yellow eye John's shirt and lifted him up. "Search his pocket, as Cruz said." 2 other guys started rummaging through his jacket and his pale brown military pants. They found two pictures, one about a group of ponies and a certain orange pony in another picture, in just about 5 second. "Ha! See?", Cruz said. "Let me get this straight: they are someone that are crucial to your life, right?", Johann asked, "No wonder even after all those words you still have it with you. 24/7 I guess?" John silently looked at him. "Explain, or you will have to eat your dinner full of meat!" His group specifically just bullied some people at the unit, but they often know really well about their prey. They know John himself really hates to eat meat or animal products, though he does drink milk and eat omelette. But as a bullier, Johann loved to take it as an advantage. "It was... my sister's..." "Liar!" he yelled, making the whole canteen look at his table. But suddenly, he said with a calm voice, whispering into John's ear: "Okay, since I can't do anything with you, I have a proposal: Go to that town, or I will say your secret out loud. I know deep in you, you are not a human. Isn't it true, guys? His gang nodded. "Why do you want me to do that? Why don't you do it yourself?" "So you want to be called a baby girl right here? Heimdall Unit is only for true men, coward! Guys who love little girl stuff like ya should be at least working other units... or guarding bases! Guarding bases is the best for ya, don't ya think?" Johann knows John was a disciplined soldier. Unlike others, he never caught drinking, smoking cigarettes and always sleeping in time. "Too bad you are just a normal guy with skills. You would make us shit our pants with your owl-like eyes!" The gang laughed maniacally. "So... you are with us tonight?" Author's Note This is my first chapter for my novel. It may not the first time I write a novel here on Fimfiction but I have to say how people react to this would dramatically affect my writting. I would love to see how you react to this Chapter. Thank you for choosing my story. :)) Chapter 1John came back to his cabin. The clash at the canteen really makes him think of the possibility of doing what they want. As Johan acknowledged, John didn’t dare to break military protocol. Sometimes it’s okay to stay up late or eat a bit more than average, but escaping the base is a whole new level. Not only it is heavily prohibited, as the commander said “Because of Federation policies, personnel from the base must not leave it by all means, unless it was authorized by the local authority and the commanders' ', as well as how far the town was. The base and the town, separated by the bay itself, only connected by a road with barely any lighting… “But… There is a regular supply line that was maintained by trucks from the town to here. Maybe we can infiltrate the guards and climb into a truck so it can take us to the town.” According to some personnel that has already stationed at the base before, they really never let anyone get out of base by foot or by waterways. Only the truck that was driven by someone behind the dark glass the supply from space can get in and get out of Maretime Base. “By the way, they searched the truck very carefully.” A personnel told his friend while he was checking his mobile suit. … In the hangar consisted of 4 humanoid machines; his suit was the most eye-attracted object. It was a weird looking mobile suit that would bring a feel that it was incomplete if looking at it: there is some exposed-weird looking armor that, according to his engineer, it was a psycho frame. He doesn’t know what that is, but he just guesses they added it to the suit to enhance defending capability. On its edgy head, the suit has a long horned antenna and a GM-like face, but with a smaller sensor than it should. Its white paint with some black armor section added to its attractiveness amongst the black mobile suit that was called Jesta. “Woah! Neat machine, dude! A test unit, I think!” His friend, named Hover, was totally blown away when the cloth that covered John’s machine was pulled out. “Look… look at it! Look just like the RX-0s, but kinda unfinished, eh?” “Yeah… Kind of…” John answered. Being a test pilot could be troublesome to him, even though he doesn't have to fight. According to his commander, John was an excellent pilot. But the commander notices that he has some trouble firing rifles, more specifically, aiming. Lieutenant Margot, his former commander, said that he often hesitated to shoot since his hand was too shaky to effectively lock the enemy. “You have morale problems, John?” she asked in one of the practices, “I notice that you are very hesitant to lock the enemy, look like you have trouble with guns…” “I… I don’t know…” “But you have immensely good saber skills. Looks like you will have to pilot some Zeon’s suit… An Efreet may be…” … While the couple was still looking at the white machine, suddenly, from nowhere, Johann showed up. His large hand instantly grab John’s collar and drags him across the hangar to a deserted corner, pushing him over the wall. He looked around for a while before turned to John: “Why don’t you show up at the gate!” he growled, “I said see me at 8pm!” “Why do you have to break military protocol for your entertainment?” “Because I would die if I didn't have anything to do here! I… I… simply… Listen, coward! I don’t have time to explain, but we have to get to the main gate as fast as possible. I just heard that there are 2 or 4 trucks that are just coming here. I just asked Lieutenant Juan, he suggested that we should infiltrate 2 front trucks. I will convince the guards to just let those 2 front trucks go without checking their container, but he said we should be fast!” “How… How…” “No time to explain!” He then pushes John to his front and the couple ran as fast and as sneaky as possible to the loading area. … After successfully passing the guard and climbing up to the trucks, both of them sighed. “Can’t believe we make it, right John?” he squeezed, “By the way, how many times I have to tell you to go faster?” “I… I always wish we … we… never do this, Johann!” John answered while heavily breathing. “We will be in jail for sure! But at least the whole ship doesn’t have to know that deep inside you is a little pony, huh?” “Johann… you jerk!” John looked out of the container. It was pitch black and there was barely any light. But he could see the town’s reflection on the sea with all of its sparkling lighting. “Are there anyone going with us?” “Cruz and Yang are on the truck behind us” At that moment, Johann looked around the empty cabin. He noticed that everything, even the truck, is strangely small, at least to the average human standard: the boxes that are left at the end of the container seem to be too big. Normally, the container height would be more than enough to fit 2 or 3 boxes, in this case, there is just one. “It appeared to contain some stuff. Haystack, I presumed”, Johann thought. Then, he was shocked when he put his head to the position of the driver. “What? No… No way!” he gasped. He looked into the cockpit to see a creature with hooves, and took the truck to the town. The hooves take the wheel and drive it perfectly, although his, or her, hooves have no finger. “What… What is that?” … The truck finally stopped. “Are there any ways to get out of this?” John asked, “The driver will see us and might report…” “Are they even human?” Johann answered with a smug, “I would sure they don’t know what to report! Plus, they may be civil drivers!” There are noises of the container’s door being open. Johann guessed that the driver wanted to take the haystack box out, so he told John: “When he opened the door, just stormed out! Cover your face!” Johann said. “Okay, here we are. One, two, three…” When the door opened, they did just that. Both sides were surprised by what they saw. The one who opens the door is not a human. Is a horse-shaped creature, more specifically, a pony. The pony who opens the door is also surprised. He questioned how on Earth those humans can get on his truck so quietly. “Are they deserting?” he thought “Hey! You two!” the blue pony yelled. … They were shocked to the core when they finally get into downtown. The whole town was occupied by ponies. They largely do human activity, but with hooves and magic, topped by pegasi flying in the air with wings. “Sneaky, we have to be sneaky!” Johann told his yellow-eyed companion, “There is a bar where we will hide for a while before going back to the base. It should be near here!” “You know if they know we sneaked out, they will shoot all of us down, right?” He was right. Since the policy is to not get out of the base under any circumstances unless it was authorized by the unit's supreme commander, Lieutenant Colonel Josef Garry, they could be executed by the military. “It's fine, they won’t notice!” “How?” “Too bad… There is a whole business at our unit that only allows a handful of personnel to escape the base. We are the very lucky one. Consider it from me, jerk!” “If so, why do you want me to do this instead of showing the ship that I am a little baby girl?” “Your attitude shows that you love to be the ship’s sheriff, so if we are caught, you will die first so no one will randomly tell commanders about our little mistake. No one is perfect, jerk!” After a few minutes sneaking through some dark alley, they finally reach the bar. Cruz and Yang are already inside. The bar is working under an earth pony bartender, who seems to get used to some human soldier deserted to his bar in, perhaps, the most hidden place in Maretime Bay. “There is a reason why I call you at this time” the bartender said, “no pony will see y’all this time. By the way, humans only started to come here about 2 months ago. Enjoy!” “What time is it?” Cruz asked. “7 pm” the bartender answered, “let me guess, the military asked y’all to sleep at 10? Good! You have about one and a half hours until other trucks come to the base. This is the preparing time for the Maretime Bay Avenger, so there will be more supply come from this very town to there.” “Thank… Thank you…” “No problem! Now what do you want to drink? Soda? Margarita? Sunny’s Grand Cocktail? Ha! I just came up with that name!” But the name “Sunny” triggered something in John’s mind. He has heard this name a lot of times. “No… It's straight up familiar… Like I know the one bearing this name really well!” John thought. He had some unpleasant experiences while that name came up. “Hey sheriff! You okay?” Cruz asked. “I… I think I needed a walk…” John answered. “Come back soon, kid! Make sure to cover yourself well. I don’t want to have any trouble with the new sheriff! He is kinda harsh on us these days!” the bartender called out. John smiled and walked away. … Although he has come to a completely new world, John has a feeling this town has something really familiar to him: the glass building that he has seen from the base before, the town’s police station, a smoothie cart, and… “That… I know that lighthouse!” he gasped. When John tries to sneak through the alley, towards the empty seaside street, he suddenly feels like someone is staring at him. He turned back. Looking at him was a blue unicorn pony with a long blue mane. She then shocked him by waving at him happily. -Hi old friends! Nice to meet you again! Chapter 2John screamed, but he soon had to shut his mouth off to not awake a whole town. “Who… who is that?” he asked himself. “Hello…” he waved back, “Who… are you?” “It’s me, Izzy! Izzy Moonbow! Don’t you remember me?” “Izzy Moonbow?” John mumbled. He actually heard this name before, but couldn’t remember when, or where. Tons of questions suddenly emerge in his head. Everything looks strangely familiar at first. Then, a pony comes and claims that she has known him for a long time. “Oh… So glad to see you again after all these years!” she said with a sweet voice, “Where have you’ve been?” “Wh… What?” “Uh… Hello, H…” “Sorry, sorry Izzy”, John said, “but… I have to return to the bar. Nice to meet you though!” “Nice to see you again, old friend!” “Hey John!” Cruz shouted “Come back to the bar, quick!” … On the way back to the base, John starts thinking about the strange encounter with a strange yet familiar pony. It turns out that there is a truck that leaves for Maretime Base sooner than it should, so the whole gang has to get on it or they would be late for the personnel count before the sleep. “You should come back there since you haven’t paid him a drink. That bar is a must visit.” “Yeah… I guess.” Just after the truck entered the main gate, the pony who drove it opened the container’s door to reveal all four men at the back of the truck. They were taken into custody almost immediately. “It turns out we have to die together!” John mumbled … “Quick! This way!” Zipp shouted to her younger sister. Behind them is the Zephyr Heights’s royal guard chasing them. With the support of the military, a businessman, who has previously come to Zyphere Heights by a research vessel , decides to secretly capture and imprison the ruler, Queen Haven, forcing her to sign a deal so that he can use the city’s mine. The royal sisters decided that they have to show the whole Equestria what really happened. The business man can’t let just two ponies ruin his whole plan, so while calling the Heimdall Unit, the one John is stationed at, he ordered the military to chase off the sisters. This is how the conflict started. Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals continuously glided across the hall, towards the city’s main train station, trying to widen the distance between them and the guards. “Princess Zipp, Princess Pipp!” Ensign Thunder shouted when he saw the sisters “Over here!” They ran to him, seeing some other guards who decided to disobey their commander to remain loyal to their queen and princesses. At the moment, they are also trying to flee their commander and comrades. “Come to the station! There is a military train that will transport us to Briddlewood. They are the last loyalists!” “Good! You will lead the way!” shouted Zipp. … Another tall guy punches John in the face during custody. “You jerk! How many times I have to tell you: DO NOT LEAVE THE BASE!” “Sir… Sir… Let me explain! Never in my mind do I think of sneaking out! Violating the military code is never who I am. It was…” “Johann and his gang forced you to do it? Never! Those are good kids! They never violate the military code, let alone do as much as you. And I haven’t punished you because you punched him in the face!” The tall guy, which John knows is Johann’s cousin, punches him when just finished the line. Sometimes, it is disturbing to know that the Earth Federation often has family members of the same noble family serving in the military. Almost everyone on Maretime Bay Avenger knows that the tall guy named Horner, who is also the mobile suit team Alpha’s commander, is Johann’s cousin. John knows, but since he hates injustice with a passion, he often has punishment because of what Johann commits, and sometimes, his bullying habit. “Now, just say that you do it by choice” Horner said “Yes I know, you will be executed anyway, but I will let ya survive until we get back to Earth, okay?” “Sorry… Sir…” John answered while his mouth was bleeding “But… they… They really force me to do that!” “‘They really force me to do that’? What an answer! I know you sneak on to that truck yourself! Now, if you just admit that you do just that, I will let you be shot at when we finally go back to our mother Earth. And maybe you could use your genius ability to flee out of the shooting range before the executor even notices, what do you think!” Suddenly, there is the sound of an explosion outside, rumbling their room where John and Horner are staying in. Horner continued his speech without even noticing. “Be a man, dude! He is right when he says just throw those little pony pictures into the trash can. Those little girl stuff just makes men become weak just as bad as missing your family too much! Oh! And never cry in front of people too! I know you have a harsh life back on Side 2, but you have to get over it!” “What do these lectures even mean…” The siren on board the ship goes off. There are voices warning the personnel to get to the battle station and ready for combat. “What? Those terrorists come here? How can they...” “I think you should... let me go now. The Unicorn Alpha...” “Only you can pilot it now, yeah yeah I know! Curse those engineers! They only come here next month!” ... “Ha! So that is the Heimdall base? Surprisingly under-armed I see!” Lieutenant Sprout said from his cockpit. Four mobile suit with base jabber quickly closing up to Maretime Base. They were surprise to see there are almost no response when they fire their first shot towards Maretime Bay Avenger. They could saw that their enemy’s suits are slowly come out of her hangar. “Okay! Rob and Sparkling Joy, wait for my order!” Sprout commanding from the Heavy Dijeh “Hiram! You and I will make sure those defenders don’t get too close to Rob and Joy while they try to capture the test suit.” “Yes Sir!” they responded. ... John quickly ran to the hangar with all his gear on. Despite his lips still bleeding and a bruise on his left eye, he still managed to ignore them and climbed to the Unicorn’s cockpit. “You ready dude?” Ensign Ronald asked “You seem to have some little injuries on your face. You just got into a fight or…” “Believe it or not, I was captured because I sneaked out of the base. I will told you the rest of the story when we come back.” … Another shot hit the base. Smoke and fire had taken over John’s view when he finally got out of the hangar. Tons of questions emerged from his mind when he saw the damage the enemy caused for the depot base. “How can those terrorists get the suits? Are they from Briddlewood?” he mumbled while making the Unicorn Alpha slowly walk out of the hangar. “Hey John, remember that this is your first time you encounter those terrorists! Just stay behind the line until one of them decides to attack you… Or the town right there!” Lieutenant Horner said while he made his Jesta come out of the base. From their view, they could see 2 base jabbers advancing. “Just another version of Mafty, huh?” he mumbled. Mafty was an armed group that was labeled as terrorists by the Federation back on Earth. Their goal was to make the Federation Government collapse and force everyone on Earth into space. But this “terrorist” group is different. Their motive was still unknown, yet they could see that the “terrorist” certainly didn't like Heimdall’s present. Path to warIn the year UC0105, there are reports of missing crafts and shuttle in the middle of space. The Federation decided that they should open an investigation side by side with searching for missing shuttle and spacecraft. It is highly unusual that something could be missing from the radar from outer space. After a 2 years searching and investigation, the Federation found something that was labeled: the Bifrost Bridge. According to the classified document, it was basically a black hole-like space with the only way to notice it is how the space bends around them. The Federation decided to establish a secret expedition team to get into The Anomaly. The shuttle consists of 2 mobile suits, some heavy scientific equipment, and especially, one of the members of Anaheim Electronics’ board of directors, Aaron Marcenas, who somehow convinces the Federation to include him as a member of the expedition team. After a 2 months expedition, the shuttle returned with some shocking information: they have traveled to the world, more specifically, a kingdom named Equestria. There are several different creatures, which are also sentient species, occupying the whole kingdom. The shuttle they were flying on nearly crashes, due to a huge storm when they just enter the atmosphere. The shuttle was a special design space craft that was used to fly in extreme weather, so they nearly crash landed at the city that is called Zephyr Heights. They also happened to find some people who were lucky enough to survive the beautiful yet hostile world to humans. The shuttle crew has saved about 10 men, whose shuttle has crashed out of the wild. Two of them are a fast response shuttle that was developed by Anaheim that is on a secret cargo flight. According to the list that one of them has, one of the shuttle carrying 4 mobile suits, 2 base jabber and all of their weapons and maintenance equipment. “I could ensure that the other one carries the same cargo type with the same quantity on board”, Aaron wrote in his report “Perhaps they are Flight 262 and 263 that are on a drill to rapidly set up a depot base for combat.” Also according to the classified report about the expedition, they have discovered a mine that has a healthy amount of rare alloy that could even rival the Gundarium alloy. Aaron Marcenas himself has talked to the business who owned the mines, and he has asked him whether he is interested in buying the mines or not. “It’s nice to actually know that the ponies will do the mining for us. We just have to protect it and transport its product back to Earth. But first, I have to prevent the Queen from shutting down the mine for good!” Aaron said in one of the reports. Turns out, the ruler of Zephyr Heights, Queen Haven, has decided that the mines have to be shut down since there are reports saying if they keep mining (because the mine was just below the city outskirts), part of Zephyr Heights might collapse. The other reason is that there are reports of labor exploitation in order to take as much material as they can, which also speeds up the collapsing process of the mine’s ceiling. Aaron Maecenas returned to the Federation headquarters and demanded that they should buy the mine as fast as they could. “If we don’t have it first, the Neo Zeon might discover this mine and take advantage of us!” he said in the report. Luckily for him, the military brass decided that he was right. The Federation decided that they should take mines as fast as they could, so they gave Aaron about a billion dollars to buy off the struggling business. Next, they establish a special unit called “Heimdall”, named after the Norwegian god who guards the Bifrost Rainbow Bridge, the only way to get into Asgard. “Zephyr Heights itself looks quite like Asgard, so it is understandable to name the unit as Heimdall. We will guard this ‘bridge’ to prevent anyone from getting to this beautiful world!” one Federation General told his subordinate. This also means that they should keep the existence of this world as well as the Bifrost Bridge totally classified. To make sure their plans work well, Aaron ran to Zephyr Heights itself to convince one of the Royal Guard’s commanders of the city, Lieutenant General Thunderstruck, to make a coup. They have imprisoned Queen Haven herself, forcing her to allow the mines to be transferred to Anaheim Electronics. The news that the Queen has been captured leaked out and came to the news outlet on March 4th, UC0107 (Earth day). Next, they set up 2 bases: a depot base that was set up in just a week for Heimdall’s multi-purpose Pegasus Class mother ship, the Bifrost, later renamed as the Maretime Bay Avenger, and another one, permanently, just near the mine itself. The Maretime Bay Avenger’s purpose was to act as mother ship to her 2 mobile suit teams that were stationed within Heimdall, transporting goods and supplies to the bases and transport material from the mines back to Earth. The Federation decided that it is impossible to retrieve all missing equipment that was lost at Equestria, so they just proceed to the secret mining plan that Aaron and the military brass has set up, called Operation Asgard Liberation. They have traveled back and forth with the Bifrost Bridge, which have both ends orbiting each respective world moon, several times before the depot base, temporarily named the Maretime Base, on March 11th, UC0107. On April 20th, the first mobile suit team, which transported John Fanning himself and his suits, arrived at Maretime Base. On board are 5 mobile suits: 3 normal Jesta, 1 Jesta cannon and the test unit, Unicorn Gundam Alpha, and all of their necessary ammunition and weapons. “We decide that there should be a military presence at Equestria. Since the missing suits and equipment are relatively new, it is highly likely that there will be some pony who has figured out how to use them against us” an officer wrote in one of the reports on the operation. “With this, this is also a perfect opportunity to bring our latest psycho frame mobile suit for testing. There will be no restriction for us to test it in combat. The UC Project will continue!” The coup, as well as the presence of Heimdall to support it, have created opposition and resistance among the citizens of Equestria. They have formed a military unit called: Unit 625. Consist of ponies from all around Equestria and some humans who agree to help, they have set up a mission: protect their most important ponies: Izzy Moonbow, Zipp Storm, Pipp Petals and the famous unity activist, Sunny Starscout, helping them free the queen and prevent Equestria to be separated again. Their first mission: destroy the suits at Maretime Base, prevent them from advancing further into Equestria. At 9:13 pm, April 24th, UC0107, 4 mobile suits and base jabber, led by Lieutenant Sprout Cloverleaf, leave their base of Briddlewood, heading to the first ever battle of the Zephyr Heights Conflict. Author's Note Zephyr Heights kinda look like Asgard to me, honestly :)

Chapter 1John came back to his cabin.
