Force To Be Reckoned With

Some would think that losing such an important figure in their life would be terrible. This is not true for Peaches. Being only 4, she had already made such significant changes from when she was just a filly. Because, she was forced to grow up quickly. Her father had died only 4 years after she was born. Given this, her mother had fallen into a deep depression. She had done the best she could to cope, but in the end it wasn’t enough. When peaches was just 10, Butterball had taken her own life. Without parents to look after her, she needed to grow up and take care of herself. When she was only 12, she found out that her special talent was cloud clearing, and she got a cutie mark of 3 swirling clouds. When she was 15, she finished Cloudsdale. After that she joined weather patrol in Ponyville, which is where her parents and her had lived. She met a nice stallion at the age of 16. His name was Blunder, because he was sort of a cluts. But, he was 20 and took care of Peaches, so she married him at the age of 18.

Being such a good flier, she was promoted to head of the squad at the age of 21. She got moved to night work. That is when she met Lunar Divide. They had become good friends when they were young. After Flareshock had died, her mother had started to home-school her until she committed suicide when Peaches was 10. It had been nearly 17 years since she had seen him, and he had definitely changed. He now was an alicorn, and mighty fine one at that. One night things became a little tense. When the sunset, all of Ponyville began to shake. It was unusual, because it wasn’t earthquake season.

After the slight jolt, something started to glow in the center of Ponyville. So Peaches and Lunar Divide went to check it out. When they got there, they noticed that the stone-imprisoned Discord was no longer there. In a state of complete shock, Peaches and Lunar Divide heard a voice they did not remember. As they turned to attention, before them stood the God of Chaos, Discord. He laughed maniacally and chanted, “Why hello there! It’s so nice to see you, given that I finally get my vision back. I just can’t wait to go see my good friend Celestia.” With that he disappeared. With awe struck looks on their faces, they both started flying towards the Canterlot castle. When they got there they noticed that everything had been trashed. Books laying everywhere, paper still fluttering down to the ground and even ink spattered on everything, but Celestia was no where to be found. They frantically ran to Luna’s room and found that she was a sobbing ball stuck in the corner.

They rushed over to her, and attempted to comfort her. “Discord returned,” said the broken, black mare, “and he took my sister.” They knew that they were unable to comfort her, so they decided to ask a few questions. “Where did he take her?” Lunar Divide asked. “He said something about ‘Getting back at the Elements of Harmony’ but other than that I don’t know.” They immediately knew what was to happen next.

They rushed back to Ponyville and found the 6 mares that once held the Elements of Harmony strung up by their hooves. Alongside them was Princess Celestia. “Attention everyone,” Discord called out, “this is what I have wanted to do since I was turned to stone. All 7 of these fine mares will suffer the crime of harming me. Now, here is the good part. All of you are going to suffer the same fate.” As soon as he said that, Peaches rushed up and clipped Discord with her wing. This enraged the mixed and matched beast.

“How dare you! Looks like you want to be with them.” Before he could do anything, Discord was enveloped by a glowing aura. “Back away from my friend you unholy beast!” Lunar Divide called to Discord. “Don’t you dare lay a finger on her! Or I swear, I WILL KILL YOU!” Lunar Divide was now enraged. He lifted Discord and launched him as far as he could. But his effort was short lived, because Discord had appeared out of thin air. “And you actually thought that would work? Pathetic.” Discord slammed Lunar Divide as hard into the ground as he could, shattering his horn.

He shrieked at the top of his lungs. “AHHHHHHH!” The pain was more than he had ever experienced. “I will show you what happens to ponies like you.” With that he began shattering Twilight Sparkle’s, Rarity’s, and Celestia’s horns all at once. They squealed in unision as they experienced the same pain as Lunar divide. “That was fun wasn’t it? I’ll try something else.” Discord reached over to Rainbow Dash and began to crack her wings. At that moment, she nearly fainted from pain. He did the same for Peaches, Fluttershy, Celestia, and Lunar Divide. With no end to this horror, Peaches and Lunar Divide closed their eyes in defeat.
