Equestria, a place divided for so long. Now once more united through the magic of friendship; if it was not due to the efforts of the band that set off across the land to reunite the crystal. Thanks to their efforts magic was returned and peace once more reigned in Equestria. Sunny sighed happily as she wiped the sweat from her brow. The repairs to her home were coming along faster than she originally thought. She watched a Pipp and Zipp floated down and stood next to her. Smiling at her before looking at the nearly completed light house. Shortly after Izzy trotted up next to them; also admiring the work they had done. The last to join them was Hitch; who like them was also smiling happily.

They stood in silence for a moment before Sunny spoke, “I cant thank any of you enough for this.” Each of them smiled again.

Izzy replied, “You don't need to thank any of us. We were happy to help.”

Pipp nodded in agreement before commenting, “Beside it was partially our fault your house got destroyed.”

Sunny shook her head and spoke, “The only one at fault is Sprout,” She sighed before she continued, “But, even I can forgive him.”

They nodded before turning and walking down the road to the town. Maretime bay had actually grown over the course of the year. A few pegasai and unicorns now called the bay their home. Just like how some earth ponies now called Zephyr heights and bridlewood their home. Yes, unity had returned to the Equestrians and none of them could be any happier. As the group walked through the streets; they received friendly hellos and waves as they passed others on the street. They headed to a popular restaurant.

Izzy suddenly stopped and looked down an ally; she grew curious as she asked, “What the?”

Zipp doubled back and asked, “Everything okay Izzy?”

Just as the rest of the group joined them Izzy answered, “I thought I saw something.”

Hitch asked, “What did you see?”

She replied, “I don't know,” She started to walk down the ally the others following behind her. She then saw something dart around the corner, “There it goes,” She began to run after it, “Guys, come on!”

Sunny called out to her, “Izzy, wait!”

They started to run after their unicorn friend; for a moment they last her. But, thanks to both Pipp and Zipp providing watch from the air. They were able to locate her. They didn't see what she was chasing. But, for some odd reason she was heading for the beach. When they finally caught up to her; they couldn't believe what they were seeing. Their marooned on the beach was a large ship. A ship none of them recognized from the bay.

Hitch asked, “Uh, Sunny?”

She replied, “Yeah, Hitch?”

He asked, “What in the world are we looking at?”

She answered, “A ship obviously, Hitch.” She then turned and looked at Izzy and asked, “Izzy, why did you bring us here?”

Izzy answered, “I-I didn't,” She then pointed her hoof, “It did.”

At that moment a door on the side of the boat suddenly opened with a loud thud. The group jumped at the sudden noise. Before any of them could react Izzy was in full sprint towards the door. They tried to catch her but she unfortunately got onto the ship before any of them could. Without hesitation they entered the ship to find their friend.

Pipp called out, “Izzy, where are you!?”

The heard her answer, “I'm up on the deck! You guys need to see this!”

As they made their way up the boat suddenly shifted to the side; causing them to fall. Each of them groaned as they slowly got back to their hooves. Oddly, each of them started to feel a little queasy. When they reached the upper deck they got their answer. The ship was now sailing away from Maretime bay and out into the open ocean.

Izzy asked, “Where are you taking-?” She stopped before looking around, “Hey, where id it go?”

The other joined her as Sunny asked, “Where did what?”

The sudden boom of thunder and the pounding of wind and rain suddenly struck the boat. Each of them yelled out as the waves tossed them about. The ship was taking a beating from the raw powers of nature. It took her a moment but Sunny, but she did eventually regain her senses. It was at that moment she wished she hadn't. For, heading right for the boat was a giant wall of water. And, the boat was heading right for the water.

She yelled, “Everypony get below!”

The group scrambled to get below deck. When they dead each of them braced for the impact of the wave. The wind howled, the thunder roared, but the impact never came. It was then everything got quiet. They looked at each other as the though of still being alive slowly registered in their minds. Slowly, the group made their way back up on deck. The sky was now filled with dark and stormy clouds. The wind was calm but had an awful smell on it. And, the wall of water was gone? They each looked around even the water had changed color. It was now the color of oil. And, the ship was now heading right for a large island.

When the ship made landfall it suddenly vanished. Leaving all of them stranded on a beach with sand as black as night. They looked around none of them had any idea where they were. Not even sunny who had memorized every map her father owned. This island was not on any map.

Hitch asked, “Any idea where we are?”

Before any pony could answer a cry was heard. It sounded almost like a baby crying; they looked at each other and then started walking where the crying was coming from. They eventually found it coming from some strange creature. None of them knew what it was exactly. It stood on too legs and it wore ragged clothing.

The crying continued and slowly Izzy approached the creature. She was stopped by Zipp grabbing her tail and pulling her back. It caused her to yelp out in slight pain as she heard her ask, “What are you doing!?”

It was then the creature in front of them stood straight up and turned around. It released a snarl in the process. The group got a better look at it now. It had a strange hammer shaped head and dark yellow eyes. It roared at the group causing them to scream in fear before the turned and ran. It ran after them snarling loudly as it chased them.

On the bridge a creature watched from above; its eyes narrowing slight as it followed them. Sunny looked over her shoulder; the creature was still hot on their tails. She didn't know what it was or what it wanted. But, she knew she didn't want to find out. As they ran the creature came to a sudden stop and stood its ground. It roared loudly as they continued to run away from it. The moment the group noticed they were no longer being followed. They came to a slowly stop and tried their best to get air back into their lungs.

Hitch asked, “Why isn't it chasing us anymore?”

Sunny panted a little before she answered, “I don't-.”

All of sudden something wrapped around her hoof and dragged her. She screamed as she was dragged from the beach and into a forest. She could hear her friends calling to her; asking her to respond or to say that she was okay. She tried to answer but she was being dragged to hard on the ground. At one point she was nearly knocked out when her head hit a rock. All of a sudden she lifted into the air. She quickly looked around only to come face to face with a hideous looking tree. Its limbs were serrated almost like teeth. In it's trunk was a large mouth full of teeth. She screamed as she braced herself for her end. The tree released and she fell towards its mouth; everything then faded to black.

She groaned a little as she slowly woke from her slumber. Her body felt heavy; drained of energy. She thought she heard Izzy but at the same time she wondered if her mind was playing tricks on her. It was then she felt something gently wrap around her. It was Izzy; she was being hugged by her.

Izzy spoke, “You're okay.” She released her from her hold and left to get the others.

Sunny looked around before asking, “Where am I?”

Hitch's voice replied, “Sunny!”

All of a sudden she wrapped in a huge group hug. She smiled happily as she tried her best to hug her friends back. She was happy and thankful to still be among the living. When the hugging ended she asked, “Where are we?”

The group turned and Zipp replied, “You can ask her she saved you.”

It was then another creature entered the room; the creature was long like a serpent. It had four different kinds of legs, it hinds legs were that of a deer and a lion. While its front two legs were a dragon and a bears. It had the head of a dragoness; with the horns of a ram. Her eyes were deep green almost like a forest.

She spoke, “Good to see that you're still alive,” She gently moved the others out of her way as she check over the earth pony, “Looks like the Yateveo didn't get a chunk out of you after all.”

Sunny asked, “A what?”

She answered, “Yateveo, it's a creature eating tree.”

Sunny nodded before asking, “Who are you? What are you?”

She nodded and answered, “I'm Mirage; I'm a draconiques.”

Before Sunny could ask any more another voice called out, “Mirage, I need some help! Bandit took a bad hit!”

Mirage replied, “I'm coming Blind eye!” She turned and look at them and spoke, “All of you stay here. I'll be back.” She then turned and left leaving the group to themselves.

After a little while Mirage eventually returned. This time with some food and drinks for them. They each thanked her before they asked her where they were.

She answered, “Welcome to Nightmare frontier. The worst island anybody can land on.”
