Atop of a hill in the town of Maretime Bay, haven to the great earth ponies who have repelled the treacherous unicorns and barbaric pegasi from the coast, lies a modest house that doubles as a lighthouse, overlooking both the vast sea beyond and the open streets full of galloping giggling ponies. No, they just plain didn’t like the stallion that resided there, one earth pony by the name of Argyle Starshine, and as to why most of the towns ponies didn’t see him eye-to-eye was simple: he was Strange.
He collected a lot of olden equestrian relics, from maps to doodads, he had it all. How could somepony be so interested in constantly researching such ancient things instead of going to the cinema like any normal pony was anypony’s guess. But no, what made the population really wary of him was the fact that he - gasp - promoted friendship between all 3 of the pony races! The audacity! The nerve! He would say such blatant lies like “Pegasi aren’t blood-thirsty brutes” and that “Unicorns can’t read your minds unless they specialized in that field”. As if he has ever met any before!
