A/N: Out of all the Doom fics, the day I was making this, I knew there was something about this that was special. Such potential that still needed to be bloom. This was a story that in my heart I knew without a doubt would be become something that’ll surpass any Doom/MLP crossover. It is a goal and dream that I hope to achieve, and I can only hope when it does bloom, you all will be part of this exciting ride and read this from beginning—to end.

A wave of nausea coursed through Twilight Sparkle, a feeling she never felt before. Her head ached with a dull throb that matched her pulse, and she felt something warm dripped down the side of her face. Her ears rang with a perpetual, high-pitched sound. She prefers not to move… but she has to. Imbued with the little strength she had left, she carefully sits herself up. She looked around. Gone is the green grass that once blanketed the long mile field, as blood spread and discolored it.
Tilting her head up to the sky, She had to squint. Bright it was from the moon, but it was the sky that left her in horror…
She was met with a bloody sky. She also saw small dotted shapes flying in the sky, a large group of them soaring towards Canterlot.
“Oh no…” Twilight breathed in a hoarse voice, her ears faltering behind her head.
“—ligh. . . Tw. . . ! . .”
She started to hear snippets of syllables. Pulling her attention away from the bloodied atmosphere, she turns her attention towards the voice calling to her. Suddenly, as If someone poured a bucket of water on her face, her sense of smell returned and her brain was assaulted with all kinds of information. There was burnt grass, dirt, smoke, and ozone. Twilight recoiled immediately, pinching her nose as she picked up the distinct odor of burning flesh along with the stale scent of blood.
“—Twilight!”
She flinched—the ringing in her ears faded. She blinked. Concerned, mixed with worry, Persian blue eyes stared back at hers. She blinked twice, recognizing the anthro lavender unicorn in front of her:
It was Starlight!
Twilight’s whisper carried well enough to her dear friend kneeling before her. “S-Starlight?”
“Yes, it's me! Now come on, we have to get out of here, it's not safe,” Starlight said, reaching for her left pocket, pulling out a napkin in hand, and wiping off the wetness from the side of Twilight’s forehead.
Twilight’s eyes dart to her right, finding the wetness to be blood—her blood running down her cheek.
“Can you move?”
“I’m not sure…” She replied with uncertainty, “Where is every-pony?”
Taking her hand, Starlight slowly lifted her off the ground. Standing her back up on her feet before beginning to trot down the small hill.
“Everyone is waiting for us at the bunker back in Celestia’s castle, but we found that you weren't there, so I came to look for you,” Starlight told her teacher, her lips widening from ear-to-ear to a confident smile, “Lucky for me none of those demons spotted me thanks to my little trump card.”
“What trump card?”
“I’ll explain that later. For now, we need to get back to Canterlot quickly. Princess Celestia, Luna, and Doctor Hayden are waiting for us, and the flying carriage shouldn't be too far, so we should—” Starlight was about to finish when they both suddenly heard a massive thud shake the ground as if something big had just landed quickly.
Starlight and Twilight ventured, turning their shoulders around to see what’s behind them. The two mare’s eyes widened at the chilling sight before them. Standing at seven—and half feet tall were two hooded, ashen-skinned bipedal figures. They couldn't see their faces due to the hood covering its head, but they could see and feel its burning, yellow eyes staring deep into their souls.
The figure’s partner to the left took one step close to the two mares and chuckled. “Well, I was hoping we would find you here.”
The two hooded figures slowly stalked towards Twilight and Starlight, causing the two mares to cautiously take a few steps back. Distancing themselves away from them. When Starlight and Twilight tried to think up something to get out of this situation, they all heard a big thud that shook the ground. The lavenders and the two hooded figures instantly looked at the direction to where said thud had landed.
Shrouded behind the giant billowing smoke, someone had arrived…
