Chapter 1: I Must Retrieve My Crown
Twilight Sparkle walked up to the Crystal Mirror to retrieve her crown Sunset Shimmer had stolen. Before going in, she looked back at Princess Celestia who gave her a nod of approval. With that, the alicorn walked straight through the mirror. Seeing this, Spike couldn’t take anymore and dashed towards the mirror.
“Spike NOOO!!!” cried the rest of Twilight’s friends. But it was too late. Spike had already entered the mirror and both him and Twilight were headed off to where Sunset had been inhabiting all this time.

Chapter 2: Where Are We? And What Are We?
“Uh, Twilight?”
“Huh? Spike you’re not supposed to-AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!”
“AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!”
Both Twilight and Spike jumped back after seeing themselves in a new body style.
“Spike. What happened to you?!”
“What happened to me?! Look at you! You’re all… blocky.”
“So are you. Actually, everything around us is all cubic.”
There was a bit of silence between the two. Spike was observing the blocky habitat. “Where are we?”
“I don’t know,” Twilight said as she put her left hoof, er, arm through the Crystal Mirror which was now in a square shape. “It must serve as the gateway back to Equestria.” Twilight then removed her arm from the mirror. “We need to find my crown as soon as possible and get back there.” Twilight then got on all fours. Spike gave her a confused look.
“Uh Spike? Did you not hear me last time? We have to get my crown back.”
“Well yeah, but you and I are the exact height. If I ride on your back, I’d crush you since you won’t be able to carry my weight. You’re gonna have to find your crown by walking like this.”
“Oh… yeah.” Twilight stood on her two hind legs, which were now just her legs, and instantly started flopping around.
“Whooooa. WHOOOOOOA. AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!” Twilight almost fell on her back but was luckily caught by Spike.
“You okay?”
“Yeah. Thanks.”
“Don’t worry. You’ll get used to it.”
“I don’t know. This is a completely new body style for me. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to walk properly in time.”
“Well, I could teach you.”
“Really?”
Spike shook his head ‘yes’.
“Aw, Thanks Spike.”

Few minutes of training later, Twilight could now walk on two legs. However, the two had been transferred in the middle of a forest. There were no houses or buildings anywhere.
“Oh, I’m really sorry. I-I just found it, and, and I thought I should keep it until its rightful owner came to find it. I didn’t know you had dropped it.”
“Did you hear that Spike?”
“Yeah. It sounds like that voice is farther in those trees.”
The two headed farther into the forest and saw what looked like two… living beings. One of them was an anthropomorphic, cubed yellow pegasus with pink hair, back against a tree. There was something in her hands. It looked like Twilight’s crown. The other pony had an amber-colored body with a red and yellow mane. It was Sunset. She was the one facing the pegasus.
“Well, I did and was about to get it before you swooped in and ruined everything.”
Twilight and Spike were surprised by the bacon-haired pony’s choice of words.
“You shouldn’t pick up things that don’t belong to you,” the amber pony added.
“It doesn’t really belong to you either.”
“ExCUSE ME!?!” The amber unicorn shouted as she pinned the pegasus to the tree, putting her arms around the trunk.
“Nothing…” the pegasus whimpered as she slid down to the floor.
Twilight and Spike were crossed as to what they just witnessed. The pegasus had done nothing wrong and Sunset is scolding her for absolutely no reason.
“That’s what I thought.” Sunset swiped the crown of the poor pegasus’ hands. “It’s as good as mine and you know it! You really are pathetic! It’s no wonder all your friends are just stray animals.”
Hearing that comment was the last straw. Spike and Twilight came out from hiding behind the trees to confront the unicorn.
“How dare you speak to her that way,” Twilight started.
Sunset turned her head to see where that remark came from. “What did you just say?”
The two started walking up to each other, Spike being at Twilight’s side.
“I said, how dare you SPEAK to her that way!” Twilight repeated.
The two then stared at each other for a few seconds. Sunset made an evil smirk. “You must be new around here,” she said, flicking Twilight’s chin upwards. “I can speak to anypony, any way I want.” Sunset walked out of the forest until nopony could see her.
“I can’t believe you did that,” the pegasus said as she stood up.
“I couldn’t just stand there and let her talk to you that way,” said Twilight.
“Well, it’s just that, nobody ever stands up to-”
“Sunset Shimmer?” Twilight finished.
“You’ve heard of her?”
“Sort of.”
“I don’t think I’ve seen you around before. Who are you two?”
“My name is Twilight, and this is my friend, Spike.”
“I’m… Fluttershy,” the pegasus whispered.
“Sorry. What was that? I couldn’t hear you.”
“Fluttershy!!” The pegasus repeated but a little louder.
“It sounds like you’re saying “Fluttershy”, but how could that-”
“Uh, Twilight,” Spike interrupted. “Can I talk to you for a little bit? In private?”
“Sure. Fluttershy, we’ll be right back.” The two then walked behind a tree.
“I think I know why there is a Fluttershy here,” said Spike. “Princess Celestia said the others couldn’t come here since she said it could ‘upset the balance of this world’. So if Fluttershy came here, there would be two Fluttershy’s here.”
“Well that would make sense. Anyways, I need to talk to her about my crown. Sunset Shimmer walked away with it.”
The two walked out from the free and headed back to Fluttershy.
“Sorry about that. Now that me and Spike are finished, is it okay if I can ask you something?”
“Sure.”
“Okay, so Sunset Shimmer said you picked up something. Something that belonged to her. It wasn’t a crown was it?”
“How did you know?”
“Uh, lucky guess?” Twilight said anxiously. “If I may ask, how did you get your hands on it?”
“Well, I was sitting next to what looked like a mirror, relaxing with my pet bunny, Angel. While I was minding my own business, something came through the mirror and hit me in the head. I don’t know how it got here, but I didn’t want anything to happen to it so I kept hold of it until its owner came looking for it, and we all know how that went.”
Spike and Twilight felt a little bit of sadness after Fluttershy had finished that sentence. Suddenly, a little bunny came out from behind Fluttershy and laid down on her lap.
“Aw. Thanks Angel.” Fluttershy then hugged the little bunny. Twilight and Spike grew a little smile on their faces. “Well, I should be going now. See you two later.”

The next morning, Twilight and Spike were on the search for a library.
“Why are we doing this?” asked Spike. “It’s too early for this.”
“Because Spike, there’s still a lot to learn about our environment.”
“I don’t know if we’ll be able to find a library around here. The only building we’ve seen was at Applejack’s.”
“Well if we can find a house then we can certainly find a LIBRARY!!!” Conveniently, Twilight found her destination, a library in a little village. “Come on Spike!”
“Aaaaahhhh!!” Spike shouted as Twilight grabbed his hand and ran towards the library. Before entering, they met a villager, a creature they’ve never seen before.
“Who’s that guy with the big muzzle?” Spike asked.
“I don’t know. Maybe he knows more about this library.
Twilight and Spike went up to the creature with the abnormal muzzle.
“Greetings. My name is Twilight and this is my friend, Spike. We were wondering if you knew more about this library.”
“Hmm,” replied the villager.
“I’m Twilight and this is my friend, Spike. We were wondering if you knew more about this library.”
“Hmm.”
Twilight and Spike’s eyes turned to one another for a second, confused by the saying replied from the villager.
“Do you know anything about this library?”
“Hmm.”
“Listen here bucker!” Spike then grabbed the villager by his collar. “Why won’t you reply to the question normally?! Are you working with Sunset?”
“Spike!” Twilight grabbed Spike away from the villager, giving him a look of disapproval. “Sorry about that. Are you okay sir?”
“... Hmm.”
“Okaaaaay. We’ll just find out for ourselves.”
Twilight and Spike entered the library and scavenged for a book to learn about their block environment.

Twilight and Spike had searched and read books but none of them were the right one.
“Hey Twilight! I think I found what we needed! It’s called, Minecraft Goo-we-dee?”
“Goo-we-dee? Hold on, let me see the book.”
Spike handed Twilight the book. The book was a dark green color and the title read Minecraft Guide . “It’s GIDE Spike.”
“Oh… oops.”
“Well, we have the book. Let’s check it out.”
The two walked up to the librarian.
“I’d like to check out this book please,” said Twilight.
“Hm-”
“Nope. You know what? We’re just gonna head out.”
Twilight and Spike exited the library with their guide.
“Twilight. Have you noticed that the librarian and the guy outside the library kinda looked the same?”
“That’s racist Spike… but now that you mention it, yeah, they do.”
“It also seems that they don’t really care about what you do to them or around them.”
“Yeah that’s funny. I wonder if this guide has anything about this place and the ponies here.”
A thought then hit Twilight in the head. “Spike. It’s getting late and I didn’t think about where we’ll be staying for the night.”
“What about over there? That house looks empty.”
The two walked up to the house. Twilight tried opening the door to check if it was locked or not, and it wasn’t. Inside, the house conveniently had two beds, a smoker, and a crafting table. Twilight and Spike sat on the beds and started reading the guide book.

“It seems like we’re in a place where we craft materials and use them for survival. We craft said materials, well, certain materials with the provided crafting table,” Twilight said, reading off the book.
“But where do we get materials?” asked Spike.
“Well for starters, we can use wood from trees and turn them into a crafting table. We can also use wood to make planks and those planks can be made into sticks.”
“Why would we need to make sticks?”
“The sticks are for making utensils like a shovel or pickaxe and making weapons like a sword or axe.”
“Oh, well that makes sense.” Spike let out a yawn. “Welp, I’m gonna hit the hay. Good night Twilight.”
“Good night Spike. I’ll just continue reading about this guide.” Twilight started flicking through pages reading about more minerals and mobs. “Let’s see what’s up with this place.” Twilight flicked through the pages until she found the one that said “Villages”. Reading it, she found a mob there called an iron golem. “What the? Never seen this around here.” Twilight started reading out loud. “If attacked or angered, the iron golem will fling the mob or… person(?), leading to death.” After realizing some previous events, Twilight shut the book and laid it down on a nearby table and headed for bed.
Author's Note
I know about golems retaliating if attacked, but not about angered. It's kinda the same thing. Right? And I know that Twilight is now going two days of not getting her crown back but... it's fine.

Another day, another morning. Twilight and Spike were in a cave with their iron pickaxes and shields, trying to collect diamonds. Mining deep enough, they finally had diamonds.
“Beautiful,” said Spike.
“Mm-hmm,” replied Twilight.
“Not the diamonds, her.” Spike pointed across from them.
Twilight looked to where Spike was pointing at and rolled her eyes. Across from them was a white unicorn with a purple mane that had some fancy curls. She, too, was also mining for diamonds.
“Perfect.” The unicorn collected her diamonds and was ready to walk out. Suddenly, she walked up to Spike and Twilight. “Oh hello. Who might you two be?”
“I’m Twilight and this is my friend Spike.”
“H-Hiiiii,” said Spike.
“Aw. Well Spike is such a cutesy wootsy.”
Spike let out a little laugh as Twilight rolled her eyes, again.
“I’m Rarity. Guess you two are here for diamonds as well.”
“Yep. We’ve already gotten some.”
Suddenly, three ponies came out from behind them. They were Fluttershy, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie.
“Rarity? Twilight? Spike? You guys are here? Yay now we’re all together!”
After saying that, a green four-legged creature came walking up to them. It was a creeper.
“AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!” they all screamed as the creeper exploded. Luckily, nopony was hurt.
“My diamonds!” screamed Twilight and Rarity.
Due to the creeper explosion, the diamonds had been obliterated.
“No!” Twilight said in defeat. “It took us forever to get those!”
“This is the WORST, POSSIBLE, THING!!” Rarity exclaimed as she fainted on a chair.
The others then looked at Rarity.
“What? Did you expect me to lay down on the dirty cave floor?”
“Wait a minute,” Applejack spoke up. “Ah know who has more diamonds. Rainbow Dash. She’s sure to lend you some, also for you Rarity.”
“That’s great,” said Twilight. “Do you know where she lives?”
“Of course. Follow me.”
The six exited the cave and headed off to Rainbow’s.

“Whoaaaaaa.” Twilight and Spike arrived at Rainbow’s and were stunned. Rainbow’s house was actually a mansion made out of some smooth brick. Applejack knocked on the door. The door opened and a blue pegasus with a rainbow mane appeared.
“Hey guys.” The rainbow pegasus then noticed Twilight and Spike. “Hey, I know you two.”
“You do?” they both asked.
“Fluttershy and AJ told me about you. You TOTALLY kicked Sunset’s butt!”
“Well thanks,” Twilight replied.
“So, why are you all here?”
“Well, Twilight and Rarity were minin’ in a cave and a creeper blew their diamonds up,” Applejack said. “We were wonderin’ if you could lend them some.”
“Of course! Come on in.” The seven friends walked inside the mansion. Rainbow Dash handed Rarity and Twilight their diamonds.
“Thanks Rainbow Dash,” Twilight said.
“No problem,” Rainbow replied.
“Now we can defeat Sunset.”
“Sunset?!” exclaimed the five ponies.
“Oh… Spike, can I talk with you? Outside? In private?”
“Sure.” Twilight and Spike walked outside of Rainbow’s mansion.
“How do we tell them that we need to get our crown back from Sunset without looking weird?” asked Twilight.
“We tell them the truth. They’ll help us figure something out.”
“But what if they don't? What if they find out how different I really am?”
“Twilight, these ponies are your friends. They won't feel any different about you when they find out that you're an alicorn princess back in Equestria.”
Twilight looked at Spike and gave him a little smile. “Thanks Spike. I'm glad you followed me here.” The two then walked back inside the mansion.
“Everythin' alright?” asked Applejack.
“Well yes, but, actually no. The thing is that… I'm a pony princess in an alternate universe and Sunset stole my crown. I'm here to retrieve it.”
“WHAT!?!?!” exclaimed Pinkie.
“That was your crown?” asked Fluttershy.
“Yeeeeesssss.”
“So you're a pony princess?” Rarity stated.
“In another world?” Applejack finished.
Twilight nodded her head ‘yes’ nervously.
“That… is… AWESOME!!” Rainbow exclaimed.
The five then huddled around Twilight.
“See? Told ya.” said Spike.
“If I'm going to fight Sunset, I'm going to need practice with my utensils and weapons.”
“Well, you're looking at the best, and the most awesome battler of all time.” Rainbow said, referring to herself. “I'll totally help you defeat Sunset and help you get your crown. We all will.”
Twilight looked at the five ponies, Spike, and gave them a smile. “Thank you. Thank you all.”
Rainbow then gave Twilight diamond armor, a shield, and a diamond axe. She then applied the same thing for herself. A battle had commenced between Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle.
“Ready?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“Ready,” replied Twilight. Twilight and Rainbow Dash started charging after each other, axes in their hands.

Chapter 6: Crafting is Magic
Twilight and Spike were now ready to take on Sunset. As they headed off to find her, Spike burped out a letter.
“What the?” Spike read the letter that came out his mouth. “You want your crown back princess? Then meet me at The End.”
“She’s in The End?!” exclaimed Twilight. “And how did she send you a letter? I thought only Celestia could do that.”
“Who’s Celestia?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“Long story,” replied Twilight and Spike.
“Back on track, Sunset has my crown and it’s best that we retrieve it sooner or later.”
“Well, to get to The End, we need ender pearls,” said Applejack.
Pinkie reached into her body taking out a stack of pearls. “Way ahead of you.”
“Great.” Pinkie handed Twilight the pearls. “Now then, let’s head to The End.”

Travelling up, down, left, right, the gang had made it to The Stronghold. Twilight placed the remaining pearls, accessing The End. “Is everypony ready?”
“Yep,” they all replied. Before jumping in, Twilight noticed something off about Spike.
“Spike. Why is there a stick on your head?”
“I have a stick on my head? Well, we should stick OUR heads into this portal.”
“Oh right.” Everypony then hopped into the portal.
Entering The End, the gang noticed something off.
“Where are the Endermen and the Ender Dragon?” asked Rarity.
“I bet Sunset had already defeated them,” said Twilight. “But how did she clear out all the Endermen?”
“There she is!” Rainbow Dash pointed to Sunset who was in the distance. She was next to the Exit Portal. “Let’s get her!” The seven ran up to the Exit Portal. Getting closer to the portal, they immediately stopped running as Sunset turned her head towards them. The Exit Portal was blocked up with obsidian and next to it was a soul sand tower in a T-shape. On top of it were two wither skeleton skulls. Sunset had the crown in her left and another wither skeleton skull.
“You don’t belong here Twilight. If I can keep this crown, I’ll break the obsidian so you can go back to Equestria tonight. But if you want it so badly, well, you don’t want to know if you do.”
Twilight let out a gasp while Spike made a terrified look. Sunset was ready to place the last skull on top of the almost completed sculpture.
“Tic-toc Twilight. We haven’t got all night. So what will it be? Actually, it doesn’t matter.” Sunset placed the crown on her head. Suddenly, setting the crown on her head sent a strange aura of power surrounding her. Sunset rose up to the sky as she transformed into what looked like a demon version of herself. The aura surrounding her disappeared as the ponies and Spike gaze at Sunset’s new look.
“I’ve had to jump through so many hoops tonight just to get my hands on your crown and it really should've been mine all along.” Sunset flew down and perched back next to her sculpture, standing in front of Twilight and her friends. “You want your crown back? Come and get it.”
Sunset placed the last skull on the sculpture summoning the most dangerous creature on the planet, the wither. The wither flew up to the sky as it and Sunset fired bombs. The seven avoided and blocked the bombs with their shields. Luckily, Rainbow Dash equipped the non-aerial ponies bow and arrows for those who couldn’t fly so they could attack the wither. When it came to firing Sunset with arrows, she tended to avoid almost every one. The wither had stopped attacking and flew next to Sunset who was preparing her biggest attack.
“For too long, Twilight has tried to interfere with my plans and she needs to be dealt with.” Sunset launched a ball of energy towards Twilight. Her friends then jumped, knowing if Sunset was taking her down, they’re going down with her. Sunset let out an evil laugh after the energy ball had exploded. As she looked to see the damage done, she was confused. A psychic handed aura surrounded the six ponies.
“The magic contained in my element was able to unite with those who helped create it!” Twilight said as a light pink beam from her crown aimed right towards the six. Absorbing this energy gave the ponies striking new looks. Some sort of rainbow power. “The elements with the crown create a power beyond anything you could imagine. But it is a power you don’t have the ability to control. The crown may be upon your head Sunset Shimmer, but you cannot wield it because you do not possess the most powerful magic of all, the magic of friendship!”
Levitating in the air, the ponies shaped themselves into a heart and produced a rainbow-swirl shooting up to the sky aiming at Sunset and the wither.
“What… is… HAPPENING?!”
“Here and in Equestria it is the only magic that can truly unite us all.”
The rainbow swirl exploded and died down. The six ponies then came landing back on the floor, transforming back to normal.
“Wow! That was AWESOME!!!” Spike leaped up to Twilight giving her a big hug. Twilight returned the favor as her friends walked up to the two. Looking back to where the explosion happened left a big hole in the ground. There was Sunset laid while the wither had been defeated. Twilight and her friends walked up to Sunset. “You will never rule in Equestria. Any power you may have had in this world is gone.”
Sunset had tears dripping down her face. “Uh, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry! I didn’t know there was another way.”
“The magic of friendship doesn’t just exist in Equestria, it’s everywhere. You can seek it out, or you can forever be alone. The choice is yours.”
Sunset slowly crawled out of the hole. “But, all I've ever done being here was driving ponies apart. I don’t even know the first thing about friendship.”
Twilight grabbed Sunset's hand, helping her out the hole. “I bet they can teach you.” She gestured her hand towards the five ponies.

Everypony was back in the overworld. The five ponies exchanged hugs. Twilight was the first to speak up. “I know we’ve only been friends for a little while but I’m gonna miss all of you so much. We best get going.” Spike was first to jump into the mirror. Before entering, Twilight noticed Sunset behind a tree. She gave her a little smile. Sunset smiled back, but it wasn’t the sinister kind, it was a gentle kind of smile. With that, Twilight walked through the portal

“They’re back!” Fluttershy announced.
The five ponies ran up to Twilight and Spike.
“You’re back!” exclaimed Rainbow Dash.
“You got your crown!” Rarity added.
Pinkie gave Twilight a hug. “I knew you could do it!”
“We were so worried,” Applejack said with a tear pouring down her face.
Princess Celestia walked up to the little ponies. “Sunset Shimmer. Is she alright?” she asked concernedly.
Twilight looked back at the mirror with a smile. “I think she’s going to be fine.”
For the rest of the night, her friends asked Twilight questions about her journey.
“Was it fun?” Pinkie asked.
“What’d ya eat?” added Applejack.
“Would you say she’s just as awesome as me?” asked Rainbow Dash.
Twilight looked at Spike, then back to her friends. “That is a story… that I’ll go over for tomorrow.”
Author's Note
Looking back at this, this is basically just the first Equestria Girls movie with very little changing of writing so if you guys don't like it, that's understandable. There are also some weird decisions I made like Twilight not getting her crown back for like 3 days and probably more questionable stuff but, honestly, I don't really have a reason why I wrote it out like that so yeah...
Edit: I would also like to point out that for some reason I put some dialogue in paragraphs. I'm sorry for that. I honestly have no idea as to why I did that

Twilight and Spike were now walking the plain biome. Furthermore, they encountered a house made of wooden planks.
“Look over there Spike! A house!”
“Let’s check it out.”
The two ran towards the house. Twilight then knocked on the door. The door opened and they were greeted with a pink pony with a pink fluffy mane.
“Hi there!” greeted the pink pony.
“Hi. My name is Twilight Sparkle and this is Spike. We’re here to… Pinkie Pie?”
The pink pony jumped back in shock. “How did you know my name?! Are you psychic?!”
“Uh… no?”
Pinkie stared at her with a suspicious look for a brief second. “Okay!”
“Anyways, I’m new here so I’m wondering if you could-”
Twilight was then interrupted as Pinkie dragged both her and Spike into her house.
“AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!” screamed both Twilight and Spike. The two were now inside the house. Pinkie then examined Twilight from left to right, up to bottom. “So now that I’m really looking at you… Do you have a twin sister who lives around here, has a dragon named Spike that looks just like that.” Pinkie then pointed to Spike.
“Uh… maybe?”
“Thought so.”
Suddenly, a door was heard opening. The pony who opened the door had an orange coat with blonde hair wearing a cowgirl hat carrying a cartridge of what looked like apple cider. Twilight noticed that that pony was Applejack.
“Cider’s ready Pinkie!” the country pony announced. Pinkie went running to the cartridge, taking out a bottle. Applejack then noticed Twilight standing in the middle of the room with Spike. “Hey. Ah know you.”
“You do?”
“Sure. Fluttershy told us you’re the new pony who gave Sunset Shimmer the what for today. You two want some cider?”
“Yes please. Thanks Applejack.”
“Of course. Wait a minute. How’d you know mah name was Applejack?”
Ah shoot! This again. “Um… didn’t you say?”
“Uh… no… Anyways, I hope you two enjoy the cider.”

“Thanks for having us over Pinkie and Applejack,” said Spike.
The two earth ponies nodded their heads.
“Well, it’s best that we get going.” As Twilight and Spike headed for the door Sunset bursted inside the house, making the two jump back.
“Pinkie? Didn’t you lock the door?” Applejack asked angrily.
“Uhhhhh…”
Sunset looked at all four as they all furrowed their brows at her. “Hmmph!” Sunset walked away from the house.
Twilight and Spike continued to exit but stopped when Applejack spoke up. “Wait! Would you two like to spend the rest of the night here?”
“That sounds great. Thanks!”
