Let there be CARNAGE

After my resurrection and rebirth, day has dawned and I have waited at the Canterlot Cemetery for my former teacher, her pupil, and her master to come here as the Royal Guard gave her notice of it. Hours later, she finally came to my grave along with Starswirl and Twilight to investigate of why my grave is empty and my tombstone missing.

"How could anything like this happen?" Celestia asked to herself.

"Is that Sunset's grave?" asked Twilight.

"Yes." she answered.

"So that's the reason why you concealed yourself away in the castle five years ago?" asked Twilight.

"Yes, Twilight. When she somehow escaped Tartarus and to the unexpected, killed Tirek, she came here but as a monster. When she smashed my right eye and before I restored it, I killed her when she was attacking me with broken bones and ripped flesh. When she died and I buried her, I closed down the School of Gifted Unicorns forever and it came to me that all I do is infect, destroy, and ruin the lives of ponies I come close to. I'm nothing but a parasite and that's all I will ever be for the rest of my days if I had never lied to her about the magic mirror in the first place." she said.

"Celestia, don't say that. Listen, if I hadn't been keeping secrets of the many arts of magic and deeming all of Equestria's ponies untrustworthy to learn all of them, only to lead one of them to be drunken for power, then all of those past five years would never have happened between you and Sunset. It is my mistake that I've made all of that possible, and now I don't know what I can do to pay for it ever since the day when I’ve turned my back not just on Stygian, but you, your sister, and everypony else I knew and betrayed. Only for them to be made into monsters by my transgressions." said Starswirl.

"Starswirl, I have already forgiven you when I and my friends brought you back. Especially for all of the mistakes you did back then okay? There is no need to pay for that mistake." said Twilight.

"I know, Twilight. But the thing is how could she come back from the dead?" asked Starswirl.

"I don't know. And I doubt if she ever came back as a zombie." she said.

Then as my que came in, I've jumped off the wall behind them and landed from behind making them jump in fright when the guards heard it and surrounded me. Then as they turned to take a good look at me in my symbiote form, Celestia was the first to break the silence.

"Wait. That hair, flame style. And that face..... Sunset Shimmer? Is that you?" she asked.

"The Sunset Shimmer you knew is dead, because you've killed her five years ago. So from now on, Sunset Shimmer is gone and no longer exists. There is only, SUNSET CARNAGE!" I said as I attacked the Royal Guard.

Multiple tendrils appeared from my back and formed many deadly weapons like swords, spears, axes, and scythes. I have ripped and tore the whole Royal Guard of their flesh and bones; their blood spilling all over the cemetery, I have shown no mercy as for I have shown my display of magical prowess. When the guard is wiped out, the three confronted me and I retracted my tendrils back into my body.

"What have you become?" asked Celestia.

"I became of what you have assumed of me becoming, CRUEL!" I said in pure rage.

"Sunset, I know I have never trusted you back then and I know you have potential to succeed me, but as this!? Why!?" she asked.

"When you took me in and when I've learned of how your niece became an alicorn by destroying a witch, I would have done something worth the ascension! But no! You've assumed of me relying on magical prowess leading you to assume of me being EQUESTRIA'S DESTROYER!!!" I said with eternal hate and rage.

"I only wanted you to have friends, and to help return my sister back to who she was. Friendship is also the key to ascend to be an alicorn like Twilight did." she said with tears in her eyes.

"Truly. But when you sent her to Ponyville to get friends before your sister returned she once knew that they are CRAZY DOLTS! She would've worked alone but no, she just had to have friends to change your sister back to who she once was before when you know that she betrayed you and your master! I would've killed her on the spot when you know you're sister's a traitor but instead you threw me out. All the land needs a strong leader without SENTIMENT! And I work ALONE!" I said.

"Sunset, how could you come down to darkness so quick? Why would you believe that sentiment and friendship are words for weakness when they can bring solutions of peace and harmony, not needing to resort to bloodshed?" she asked with more tears coming out.

"Peace!? Harmony!? Being made possible of what I described!? My new father who is a god believed in me and my beliefs like no one else can ever hope to. The strong and prowess will triumph over those who are pure evil and those who betray. Those who are strong in ambition I will make weak and put out of their misery and keep them in fear. And sentiment, friendship, love, honor? Those are nothing more but mere words for you and Starswirl's greatest weakness." I said in anger.

"How can you know that!? You don't know that Sunset Shimmer." she asked.

"My name is no longer SUNSET SHIMMER!!!" I yelled as I made a mighty stomp on the ground pushing them away as I walked forward.

"An it's not Princess Sunset Shimmer either! That ship has sailed away long ago. All I wanted is to convince you that friendship and sentiment will never be enough when it comes to strong leaders like me. I only wanted to show you what I'm really capable of when I don't need friends at all. Capable enough that I can do things myself without anyone looking out for me when I can look after myself! Keeping secrets from me is what I despise of you when I can be trustworthy to use them for good for once! And what did you say to me!?" I asked.

Flashback
"You need to start opening up to new friends."

"I thought I saw compassion and sincerity in you, but it was nothing but AMBITION."

"Being a princess must be EARNED."

"I am removing you from the position of my PUPIL."

"I hereby forever banish you to Tartarus for the near murder of my pupil Twilight Sparkle and using her element to overthrow me as Equestria's Destroyer! You are CRUEL, DISHONSET, and SELFISH."
End Flashback

"All those words you said to me when your new pupil Twilight came after me and brought me back and after you forever banished me to Tartarus, all that tore me apart. That is why while I was in the Human Realm driving everyone apart. A word for tearing friendships apart, tearing the Magic of Friendship apart piece by piece until its existence has halted." I said.

"Why!? Why would you want to destroy the Magic of Friendship!?" asked Celestia.

"That magic maybe powerful over everyone and me, but that magic's title is weakness and it will never be enough to vanquish the evil just like of what Chrysalis did in this city's wedding and you never believed your new student Twilight at all when she was trying to tell you the truth and you ignored her like the dishonest hypocrite you are. And I have learned an important lesson when you threw me out and while I was in Tartarus, you maim everyone, you don't trust anyone, you don't care about anyone and you can't count on anyone you take in as your new pupil or student assuming all of them who may become Equestria's destroyer. Especially your own sister when she betrayed you and all of the land." I said.

"Sunset, I was wrong to treat you that way. And you're right, I was also wrong to not listen to my student's warning before the wedding and to push my sister away from all those 1000 years. And I was wrong to not trust you and push you away making you feel like this. I'm sorry." she said.

"It's already too late to apologize. FIVE YEARS TOO LATE!!!" I roared.

"Sunset, you'll never understand that dark magic will control you! You never knew that because she didn't and I didn't when she took you in." said Starswirl.

"Then you know what Starswirl? You don't know me, AT ALL!" I said as I formed a sword on my right arm and stabbed him in the guts. With blood spewing out, I jumped on him and mauled his throat and neck very deep getting a taste of him and pulled that big chunk of his neck off.

As he breathed for his final moments, I said, "You are no sorcerer. You are nothing. You turn your back on me, I turn my back on you."

"Starswirl!" said Celestia and Twilight.

In deep rage, Celestia lit her horn fit to burn me. I turned to see her eyes with burning rage and it amused me to see of what she'll do.

"That's so dark for you that you want kill me again just like last time five years ago?" I asked.

"It will be easy, like a moth to the FLAME!!!" she said savagely.

"Well then show me. You've been waiting a long time to resort to bloodshed, hopefully that you'll take Nightmare Moon's place and all of Equestria will see you as the tyrant and murderer you were destined to be." I said.

As she stared at me more, she would without hesitation, burn me without sentiment and cowardice. But she calmed and the flames faded from her horn, letting sentiment get the best of her as always.

"I knew you couldn't do it. Even when you had nothing else to lose. You, your student, and her friends are weak! And I've outgrown you." I said.

I leapt away from the castle and Canterlot itself to hunt this so called 'Legion of Doom' leaving Celestia and Twilight to bear witness of his death.

As Celestia and Twilight rush to Starswirl, tears are shed from their eyes into witnessing the death of the bearded as he gloated his last words.

"Celestia, Twilight, I have failed you all. I've doomed all of Equestria. If I hadn't made you and your sister feel like you were meant to be in my shadow, keeping all the arts of magic a secret, and turning my back on you and everypony else, this would have never happened to your once beloved student." he said as blood came out of his mouth.

"Starswirl, we've already forgiven you. But with Sunset coming back from the dead as a monster, somehow resurrected by a god, my assumptions and my fears of her being equestria's destroyer made it all come true. As long as she desires to bring carnage to all, she'll never find peace." she said.

"One day, you'll find a way to help her find it. I believe in you, your pupil and her friends that you can save all the land from her rage. I'll be with all of you always, and I'll be at peace with you." he said as he made his final breath and died.

Celestia and Twilight broke down in endless tears of their friend murdered by my hand. Now that my revenge is complete, my quest to bring carnage to all the land has begun starting with the 'Legion of Doom'.

A few hours later after the funeral…

As they buried him at the cemetery and left, Twilight said, "How could this day be like this? My idol, your master, murdered!"

"I know my student. We'll miss him very much. And Sunset is right, I'm a fraud. A Princess of Pride, Folly, and Selfishness. And I've been in the wrong all these years. I'm so sorry Twilight." she said as they cried in tears for the loss.

"Celestia I already forgave you when I heard the truth, I would never hate you. But what can we do? Sunset is still out there and if she continues on her quest to bathe Equestria in blood, she'll never find peace and she will again challenge you for the throne." she said.

"Then we all must try to mend her heart, but it has gone more darker than before when I darkened it." she said.

"I fear that, she no longer has one." said Twilight.

Above in the sky on a cloud I rode on, I took one last glance at Canterlot and said, "Enjoy your time of sentiment while you can Celestia. Because starting tomorrow when I slay the Legion of Doom, all of the land will be bathed in the blood of its people and you'll finally understand that you have doomed your subjects. Let there be pain. Let there be bloodshed. Let there be strife. Let there be hate. Let there be destruction. LET THERE BE CARNAGE!"
