A Strange Gift
A deep, comforting night had settled over the towering spires of Canterlot castle.
At this time of night there were only a few people left away. The two-dozen plus guards who were tasked with the graveyard shift, and one Princess of the Equestrian people, Luna. It had been nearly five years since she returned from her lengthy banishment, and she still found much of the modern world confusing and archaic. For all the years that passed though, there was one simple pleasure that in her mind would never change. And for the sake of that pleasure Luna was travelling down the polished marble corridors to one room in particular.
The mail room. A room in the castle that sent shivers down the spines of post-stallions and mares the nation over.
Luna was usually inundated with thousands of parchments, letters, gifts and various other things. Every night she would awaken to do her royal duty, and every night there would be a new pile in one of the formerly empty rooms of the castle – which she had now commandeered to manage the sheer volume of them. Luna thought it was only right to respond to as many of the letters as possible, although she understood her dear sister’s frustration with the rather benign nature of some of them. Celestia had long since abolished the practice herself. Those who wished to curry her favour had to do so in the flesh.
Luna enjoyed it, she had the time as many ponies took her night as an opportunity to sleep restfully. It allowed her to connect with the ponies whose sleeping schedules conflicted with her own. She would seclude herself in her study and spent a few hours writing responses and thanking ponies for their words and gifts. It wasn’t possible for any single pony to complete such a task in one night though, and a rather significant backlog had started to build. Luna needed to act before the swell of well-wishes busted through the doors and flooded the Canterlot streets.
Luna used her magic to levitate one of the older bundles and carried it into her office. She carefully untied the string binding them and neatly stacked the pile on one side of her large wooden desk. She hummed to herself as she began to cut open the envelopes and begin the process of composing her responses. She often used her levitation abilities to write multiple letters at a time, a monumental feat of mental and magical focus that added an extra challenge to what would be menial work.
Well wishes, prayers for aid in various endeavours romantic and economic, and even journals talking about their lives – Luna had seen everything. There were still some letters that caught her attention. Luna paused for a moment and re-read the contents of a particular letter, and then again. It was short, curt, to the point. Most importantly of all, the author had indicated that it was their birthday! A time for much jubilation for his friends and family.
Luna was a traditional mare and the day of birth was one of the things that she cherished most dearly. Without delay she drew her quill and began to compose her response, congratulating the stallion in question, ‘Starfire.’ Her eyes sparkled with excitement. She hoped that her response would brighten his day, even if it was just a little. As she slipped the final passage into an envelope and placed it on her growing finished pile, Luna got to thinking – maybe she could pay a visit to him personally during his dreams and give him a birthday to remember!
Luna spent another hour writing her responses before retreating back to her personal chambers. The mail pony would be by in the morning to pick up the letters and distribute them post-haste. Luna had cared so much for the practice that she had hired a personal courier just for that purpose. Without removing her clothes, she clambered onto her bed and stared at the ceiling which had been tastefully decorated to resemble her beloved night sky. Her eyes glowed with a divine power and she slipped deep into a trance that robbed her of her senses. From the comfort of her own chambers she could watch over and protect her subjects by bringing them pleasant dreams. She flew through the clouds using her wings and found the spirit she was looking for. She dived down into his home like a ghost and touched the surface of his mind, slipping in like a welcomed guest.
Meanwhile, Starfire was enjoying a walk through the fields of his hometown.
He was enamoured with the landscape that surrounded him. Grass illuminated in the moonlight such that it appeared a deep ocean blue, a quiet lake that shimmered with gentle ripples, and tall trees that hung low with tangled vines and brilliant blooming flowers. By the lakeside stood a mysterious shaded figure.
Starfire approached the stranger, “Hello?” he queried. As she came into view, Starfire kicked himself for his casual address. The blue fur, the flowing star-filled mane, it was none other than the princess of the night herself! “Oh! Princess Luna, I didn’t realize it was you. My apologies!” Starfire couldn’t believe his eyes; the real Princess Luna was visiting his dream! He never expected to have the privilege of not just her protection, but to meet and speak with her too. When he had sent his letter to Princess Luna, he thought that he would simply receive a canned response from one of her advisors, if they even spared the expense of the delivery.
He thought that would be the end of it, but Luna had evidently taken the time to visit him! Of course, he knew he was sound asleep at his home, but still – Luna was known to watch over the dreams of the ponies in order to ward away nightmares. Despite that romantic and whimsical duty, Luna was much more serious compared to her elder sister. Whereas Celestia enjoyed presenting herself as a loving matriarch; wearing ethereal white dresses that draped down onto the ground where she walked, Luna preferred a more practical style of dress.
Even in his dreams she was wearing something that would not be amiss in a big-city business meeting. Light purple stockings up to her thighs, a tight, dark blue pencil skirt that was a slightly different shade from her fur, a purple waistcoat that matched her socks, a silver tie adorned with an expensive looking gem, white dress shirt, and a navy-blue blazer emblazoned with golden stitched detail. On the inside lining of the jacket he could see carefully crafted constellations that matched those you could see on a clear night. He wouldn’t dare say it out loud, but she reminded him of his high-school headmistress.
“Do we? A curious comparison.”
Starfire slapped his mouth shut with his hands, before he realized that he hadn’t even spoken out loud. His red fur turned even redder as embarrassment flooded his features. “Uh, I’m very sorry. That was an unflattering thing to think.” Luna did not seem offended like he expected her to be.
“Our sister is the one with an interest in appearing flamboyant,” she explained, “the serious part of our royal line was distilled into us.” She gave him a gentle smile and beckoned him over to the lakeside, “Was your birthday celebration everything you wanted it to be?”
Starfire knew that there was no benefit in lying to her here, “Now that I’ve gotten to meet you, it’s everything I wanted and more. Thank you so much!”
“The day of birth is a wonderful time! We have had the greatest of privileges to live long and enjoy many of them,” Luna explained wistfully, “When we returned from the expanse, our dear sister ensured that every day missed was one we made up for.”
“So… you read my letter.”
Luna nodded, “We did. A curious request. Do you not think it’s rather strange for a stallion to want to be a Princess?”
Starfire tilted his head, “I know it is. I don’t know why, I just always wondered what it was like to be in your shoes for a day.” For Starfire it was an academic curiosity, especially given that Princess Luna spent much of her time watching over others. What was the interior of the castle like? And what did she do when she had some free time of her own?
Luna sighed, “I suppose I am in no position to judge other’s desires so harshly. The heart wants what it wants, and such a request is far from the worst thing I’ve had asked of me.” Starfire could imagine what kind of shameless things another pony may ask for. Princess Luna was the envy of mares the Kingdom over. Wonderful curves, a bountiful chest, and a beautiful, slender face. Even when trapped inside the confines of her usual styles of dress it was plain to see.
“My subject, what ought we do with such a request?”
Starfire scratched the back of his head, “I don’t know. A tour of the castle? Shadowing you for a day?”
Luna shook her head, “Such a lack of imagination. We can do so much more than that!” Luna clasped Starfire’s hands between her own, “You wish to feel what it is to be a Princess, do you not?”
Starfire nodded hesitantly.
“Then first, we must make you look like a Princess! And that means garments worthy of royalty!”
“I see.”
Luna snapped her fingers, and Starfire felt the clothes on his back change in an instant. It was a novel sensation. He looked down to find that he was wearing a perfect, stallion-sized replica of her own clothes, even down to the pencil skirt and stockings. Being seen in a mare’s clothes by the Princess he admired so much was a little embarrassing, but he had to admit that they were very comfortable. Luna stroked her chin and nodded to herself in self-agreement, Starfire looked positively fetching in it! There was certainly no personal bias clouding her judgement.
In fact, Luna concluded that it was such an amazing idea that she needed to see it for real. She immediately concocted a plan in her mind to get what she wanted. “If you have the time, we can meet at Carousel Boutique. Miss Rarity is a wonderful tailor, she can assist us with this task.” Luna did not know why her heart was beating so fast, why adrenaline was filling her veins – she was doing something for her own personal enjoyment.
Starfire did not know Luna’s intentions himself, so he nodded along as Luna excitedly explained her plan to him. “But a mere outfit cannot truly capture the nature of being royalty,” Luna paused for a moment before her face lit up with a bright idea, “Ah! We have the perfect solution!” Her horn glowed with incredible power. Starfire felt his entire body tingle with a thousand tiny needles, the feeling passed as quickly as it came.
Luna must have cast some kind of spell on him, “What was that?” he asked.
Luna smiled, “We believe they call it a ‘surprise.’ All will become clear tomorrow!”
Starfire couldn’t turn down an invitation from the Princess, “Okay. I’ll see you there. And thank you again.” Luna’s power had been expended. The world faded to white as Luna waved him goodbye. He couldn’t wait until he woke up.
Starfire sprinted down the cobble streets of Ponyville to reach his destination. It was the earliest he’d awoken since his school days, but for Princess Luna he was willing to sacrifice a few hours of extra sleep. Carousel Boutique was somewhere he would never visit of his own volition. He didn’t have the time for fashion. When he arrived outside of the colourful, tent-like building, Luna was already waiting with two menacing looking soldiers.
“Ah! There is our guest!” she declared. The two guards were unmoved as Luna ushered him closer. She was exactly as she was the night before. Every strand of magical hair and crease of her expensive clothing matched exactly as he remembered it. Luna didn’t not spare any further time. She immediately ushered a stunned Starfire through the front door, leaving the guards behind in the process.
Waiting inside was the owner of the shop, Rarity. She was every bit as beautiful as he had heard from his friends, but Luna was some stiff competition to come up against. “Princess Luna! It’s so wonderful to see you again,” she gasped in a heavy and sophisticated accent, “Please make yourself comfortable, would you like anything to drink? Tea perhaps?”
“That would be lovely Lady Rarity. We hath come here today to present a gift to this kind citizen,” she explained. “Forgive me for being so bold, but I would like to ask of you a favour.” Rarity clapped her hands together and nodded eagerly.
“Anything for the Princess! I am at your service!”
Luna took a seat on the purple couch that dominated the centre of the room and held out the sides of her jacket, fully revealing the intricate stitched detail that depicted a network of glimmering stars. Gems had even been embedded into it to make them shimmer under the light, “Do you think you could emulate this suit?”
“…Emulate?” Rarity pondered, “I certainly believe I could – but for what purpose? If you don’t mind me asking? The tailors in Canterlot are the talk of Equestria.”
Luna pulled Starfire into the conversation using her magic, presenting the sheepish stallion before the court. “Our friend enjoyed his day of birth yesterday, and we decided it was only right for us to celebrate such a jubilant occasion.”
“Thank you,” Starfire bowed his head again.
Rarity hummed to herself and rounded him with a tailor’s trained eye, “Hm. I could re-create that dashing ensemble, sized for a stallion of course. I assume that is your intent?”
“Intelligent as always, Lady Rarity!”
Rarity hummed to herself, “Making an outfit fit for a Prince, what an intriguing challenge.”
“Princess,” Luna responded, placing extra emphasis on the word. Starfire found it strange, but dismissed it as merely another one of Luna’s idiosyncrasies. She was just taking things a little too literally, that was all. Rarity ushered Starfire over to a curtained area at the back of the store and pulled out a long, thin measuring tape from her shirt pocket.
“Let’s measure you darling, if you’d please remove your top?”
Starfire obliged, lifting his jacket up and over his head – leaving him in a thin undershirt that exposed his arms and upper chest. Rarity was all business, quickly setting about the task of measuring his proportions and scribbling them down onto a memo pad with her magic. Starfire kept himself still to make the process easier, but having such a beautiful mare with pristine white fur run her hands all over him was stimulating.
He tried to keep away sexy thoughts – Rarity was doing her job and it would be disrespectful to take the opportunity to gawk at the flash of cleavage he could see down the front of her shirt. Starfire’s eyes snapped straight ahead as they wandered.
Luna did not seem to understand the need for privacy and swept through the curtains to watch the process in full. Her eyes did not hesitate to run up and down Starfire’s exposed body, “Ah! Thou hath the body of a strong stallion.”
“Uh, thanks.”
Luna was not complimenting him for the reasons he thought.
He was relieved to move again when she was done. “All done!” Rarity declared, “Now, let’s take a closer look at those clothes of hers.”
It was Luna’s turn on the chopping block. Rarity was everywhere. Circling around the Princess, making notes and touching the material to get a feel for it. The level of detail on the jacket was extraordinary. Could Rarity recreate such a masterwork by eye? And how long would it take to perfect? Rarity gushed over Luna’s apparel for several minutes, “This is simply wonderful, what an exquisite piece of work! And this jewellery, I’m jealous!”
When the process was done, Rarity spared no more words to the pair. She used her magic to summon several different rolls of fabric and deploy a small table with a sewing machine placed on top. Rarity was skilled – and the speed at which she worked to recreate the suit jacket was awe-inspiring. No flourish was spared. Starfire and Luna observed her work for an hour.
What he didn’t see was that Luna had started to secretly weave her own magic into the fabric of the jacket. Luna felt nothing but excitement at the deception that she was creating. A high noble, one of the two monarchs of the great Kingdom of Equestria, doing something so scandalous. It was unheard of!
Rarity pulled out a mostly complete jacket and held it up to the light, “Ah. This is it! Starfire, be a dear and let us fit this to you.” Rarity danced over to him and slipped it over his shoulders. She took a step back and admired her work. She could see that there was much more to be done, but now she knew that the foundations of the piece were perfect.
The red fur on Starfire’s palms began to shift. First from their natural crimson to a deep purple, and finally a dark blue. Luna could not describe the burning feeling in her nethers. She found the prospect deeply arousing – even though she thought of herself as better than succumbing to such base instincts. Intent on maintaining the game for a little longer, she quickly swept around his back and removed the jacket. Rarity gave her a strange look, but otherwise had no comment on the display.
“P-please ensure that the measurements are put to good use!” Luna stammered.
Rarity, happy that her measurements were accurate, sat back down at her workstation and continued to stitch the panels together. “Allow me to complete the final adjustments,” Rarity insisted, “As much as I would love to keep you company, I do believe you have other plans for the day. I can have the final product delivered to you.”
“Thank you, Lady Rarity. We know this was a task given on short notice.”
“Perish the thought Princess, I will always be available to make an outfit as ravishing as this. And to you Starfire, I will endeavour to complete this gift as quickly as possible.”
“We thank you,” Starfire uttered before stopping himself. Had he just referred to himself using the royal we? “Uh, thanks. Sorry.” He scratched the back of his head sheepishly. He followed Luna back out into the street and breathed a sigh of relief. That was embarrassing. Maybe he was so starstruck by the Princess that she was rubbing off on him.
“Step one of our plan is now complete!” she declared boastfully, “Now, onto the second!”
“Wait, there’s more?”
“Of course! There is much more to being a Princess than mere clothes!”
Starfire was forced to follow Luna further into town. Most of the citizens gawked openly as Luna strutted down their local streets with two guards in tow. The attention was starting to get to Starfire. When you’re a Princess, everyone will want to look at you. Luna already knew exactly what she was looking for. A small shop with a big glass window that displayed several dazzling items.
Starfire had never once stepped hoof into a jewellery store before. It was both too rich for his blood, and not his style to accessorize. Luna on the other hand was covered with it. Her ears were pierced with expensive looking earrings encrusted with diamonds. A tiara that cost more than his home perched atop her head. It was covered with purple jewels, and was made from a silver alloy that shimmer with a deep purple under the light. She had another large gem hung around her neck in a matching necklace. She had one silver ring on each hand, again topped with an expensive gemstone.
He felt very out of place, even though everyone’s attention was focused entirely on the Princess. The proprietor of the store was quick to run from behind the counter and greet the Princess personally. “P-Princess Luna! It’s a great honour for you to visit our humble shop!”
“There is no need to make special exceptions for us, dear citizen.”
The guards posted themselves by the front door as Luna poured over the hundreds of items available. All of them contained within stomach high glass containers. Necklaces, rings, tiaras and more. This was the realm of high society to be certain and Starfire dissonance with Luna’s way of life was only reinforced. Was this the type of thing that she had to worry about every day? Judgemental nobles paying attention to only what she was wearing?
“Say, Luna; what do you usually do during a normal day, or night – I suppose.”
“Hm. We usually begin the evening by responding to the many letters and correspondences sent to us by our delightful subjects. Did you know that there are a large number of ponies who now revel in the night instead of the day? Such an idea would have been considered absurd a thousand years ago.”
“Ah, yeah. The big cities tend to stay awake twenty-four seven. The lights are always on.”
“After that, we ensure that there is no urgent business to be attended to while our sister rests. Unlike those big cities, the average noble hath not changed in the slightest since my imprisonment – so there is rarely aught to be done. A sleeping noble is a tolerable noble, as we always like to say.”
Starfire followed Luna’s gaze to a tiara cast from dark silver metal. It was similar to the one she was wearing at that moment. The silversmiths that could be found around Equestria had their own trademark designs and flourishes. The odds of finding one that matched something made especially for royalty was close to nil.
“If there is no further political business to consider and if the ponies are not currently being attacked by an ursa, we then move into the realm of dreams.”
“Like you did with me?”
“As you say. A restful sleep is a happy sleep. We must endeavour to ensure that Equestria is at peace during both my night and my sister’s day. Our magic allows us to interact with those dreams. Some are indecipherable, even to I. Others are lucid, and we have spent many hours speaking about what ails thee.”
“So, you must have a very intimate knowledge of everyone then.”
Luna nodded, “Aye. But we do not pry if they do not wish for it. To allow us into their deepest thoughts is already a practice in trust, it is of upmost importance that we do not violate that gift.”
Luna was decisive. She quickly scooped up several of the items. A pair of ornate silver earrings that again, were similar to her own. A tiara with space for a cut gem to be placed in the middle. A pair of rings. And a matching necklace. The whole set was eye wateringly expensive, and Starfire was still hoping that these were personal purchases.
“Isn’t this a bit much?” he asked.
“Whatever do you mean?” Luna responded, “The royal treasury wastes bits on purchases far more extravagant than this.” Without listening to any further complaints, she stormed over to the counter and laid out the haul. She then began detailing what types of gem she’d like embedded into each piece which was a conversation filled with terminology that made Starfire’s head spin.
“They’ll be ready by closing time,” she proprietor explained, “We can also deliver them to a place of your choosing.”
“Starfire, dispense the name and location of your dwelling post haste.”
“Eh? Our home?”
“This is all for your sake, is it not?”
Starfire sighed, “12 Fallweather Road.”
The mare behind the counter simply gave him a pleasant smile and took the items from Luna’s hands, “Very well. We’ll be happy to prepare these for you.” She took out a quill and scribbled down the address onto a piece of paper for later. Luna slammed a large pouch of bits onto the table and made a hasty exit with Starfire in tow.
“See, that wasn’t so difficult was it?” she asked aloud.
“What are you trying to do?”
“Why, trying to show you what it’s like to be us, of course!”
“But being you isn’t just about clothes and jewellery. And even if I did start dressing like you, we look nothing alike! I have red fur, and I’m a stallion for that matter!”
Luna smirked at the flustered man, “That is of little consequence, and we are aware of the differences between us. This is simply the first step in our plan.”
“Whatever, I appreciate everything you’ve done for me today.”
“Do not worry yourself with the details subject. When our purchases are complete and delivered to your door – the next step will begin. Surely then you will see the wisdom of our intent.”
Starfire wasn’t going to stop Luna’s roll now. This seemed like something she really wanted to do. “Okay. I’ll see you later then.”
“Goodbye dear subject!”
Starfire couldn’t quite grasp what was wrong with him. Ever since he’d had his dreamland meeting with Princess Luna the night before, he couldn’t get her off of his mind. That wasn’t unusual when you met one of the two monarchs of your Kingdom, but now he even found himself replicating her anachronistic manner of speech.
“We are most unamused,” he commented dryly in his bathroom mirror. The tenor and intonation of his voice was uncannily similar to Luna’s. If he didn’t still have his deep stallion baritone he could have made a good living as a professional Princess impersonator. He sighed and turned off the lights, crashing down onto his bed and screwing his eyes shut tight. He was barely halfway through the day and he’d already made a total fool of himself.
He was jolted back to reality by a knocking from his front door. He hauled himself up and out of the room to the front door, where the outline of someone could be seen through the frosted glass window. He unlocked the door and found the mail-pony, Special Express, waiting for him, “Hey there Starfire, a special express delivery from Carousel Boutique for you.”
“For us?” He took the lumpy brown package from Special, who quirked a brow at the strange voice he was using. “Thank you!” Starfire quickly closed the door before he asked any further questions. He then remembered what the package actually contained.
He laid it out on the dining room table and ripped into it using his hands. A flash of blue fabric clued him into the contents before they were fully revealed. He pulled out the first item and unfolded it, revealing a perfect replica of the blazer that Luna was wearing the night before. Up close her could admire the artisan stitching that had been used to detail it, or the soft feeling of the high-class silk fibre that it was made from. Had Rarity taken his measurements and made this garment in the mere hours since they visited?
Starfire couldn’t evacuate Luna’s words from the front of his mind, what did she mean when she said they were making clothes fit for a Princess? Had she simply misunderstood the meaning of the phrase when he’d said it? Rarity had stuck to the script and put together a male sized replica, although he had to take a second glance as he fished out the pencil-skirt that was decidedly not in vogue for a stallion. There were no pants included in the package.
A singular piece of paper lay flattened at the bottom of the pile. Starfire looked at the note, revealing it was written by Luna herself. ‘Greetings subject’ it began, ‘I hope that this package found you in good time. We agonized for many hours over the best way to communicate what it was like to be a Princess, and decided that this gift will bring you closer, if not mentally, at least physically. Adorn these garments and consider it a present from us. We hope you enjoy it. – Luna.’
Luna was known for her eccentric behaviour, so Starfire was not so surprised that she considered a matching outfit to be the essence of Princessdom – still, she had made no adjustments to it beyond the size. It was certifiably not Starfire’s style. The blue, silver and purple clashed horribly with his vibrant red fur. Not to mention that he rarely if ever dressed himself to the nines in something so high quality.
Unbeknownst to Starfire, Luna was not a passive observer to the events unfolding. The Princess had made sure that she was present for the next step of her plan. Using powerful magic, she disguised her presence and snuck into his home with the voyeuristic intent of seeing her scheme unfold in full. After all, what good was putting together this show using her magic if she wasn’t there to enjoy it in person?
He was completely unaware that anything was wrong. He pulled out the dress shirt from the package and considered it carefully. At least he could make use of this for formal occasions, the skirt was a total miss though. He took off his hoodie and shirt and threw them onto the couch. The shirt was made from a very comfortable material and fit like a glove. Rarity had made something very nice, if nothing else was to his liking, the shirt alone was worth the day out with Luna on its own.
The second thought that went through his mind was how tight it started to feel when buttoned up. He unbuttoned the top two to try and release some of the pressure – but he quickly learned that the feeling wasn’t being caused by the shirt at all. It was his own body. It felt like he had heartburn, but even more painful than usual.
That was only the beginning. Starfire fell to his knees as a sharp pain shot up and down his legs. He tried to take in enough air to numb the pain, but it was so extreme that his eyes started to water. He could see dark fur covering his hand and legs, creeping upwards like weeds. Something was horribly wrong with him. He felt a searing pain on both his flanks like somebody had branded him with a white-hot iron.
His snout became thinner and fairer, longer and more attractive than even the most beautiful supermodel. Moment by moment his masculinity was being stripped away, and the entire time Luna was ecstatic. She had to contain her own joy for fear of revealing her position in the doorway. The heat in her nethers intensified as Starfire became more and more feminine.
Starfire tried to crawl away from the table, he had no intentions of continuing to adorn himself with Luna’s gift. As far as he could tell – something was going terribly wrong with his body. He hadn’t yet made the connection that this was all Luna’s doing. Why would he have any reason to suspect the Princess? Her and Celestia had been working to protect the country and its people for hundreds of years.
His chest had already started to transform, but to complete the process he’d need an extra push over the edge. She had hoped she could enjoy things from her hiding place without having to intervene, but it seemed that it was much more painful than she’d anticipated originally. Luna decided now was the time to make her presence known. She dispelled her disguise and stepped into the room. The last thing she wanted was for her fun to come to an end when it was so close to the climax. Starfire didn’t notice her presence until her blue hooves stomped down in front of him. Starfire couldn’t move – the pain was so intense that he couldn’t move his body anymore. Starfire struggled in vain as he felt the grip of her magic pick him up from the ground and place him down onto his couch, “L-Luna? What are you doing?”
“We are here to ensure that the process goes smoothly, of course!”
“Process?”
Luna pulled him back up into a sitting position and adjusted the white blouse that covered his chest. Luna smiled to herself. She was happy that Starfire had tried to wear her gift on his own without her prompting. She danced towards the table and held the stockings between her fingers. Starfire could only watch as she slid one of the soft coverings up and over his leg from below.
“Luna, what are we doing?”
“There is naught to be worried about Starfire, allow me to help you.” Luna put the second stocking into place. At first it struggled to fit over his large, masculine thighs, but as Luna’s magic set in they began to change. The muscle and fat shrunk down until they fit perfectly. Thankfully the change did not cripple Starfire with a fresh barrage of pain. Luna’s fingers drifted upwards until they reached the side of his thigh where his cutie mark should have been. She could see the black splotch emerged from under his jeans.
Luna shuddered. She had replaced it. His cutie mark. The one thing that defined the very existence of what it was to be a pony. A special mark anointed by a greater power that even Celestia and Luna could not control. That was his mark, and it was gone. Replaced with her own. She could feel the front of her panties dampening.
“Now, let’s get you out of those horrible clothes!”
Luna’s horn glowed brightly. Starfire’s own clothes were torn to shreds and flung to the far sides of his living room, leaving him completely naked. He was a curious sight, with the legs of a mare and the upper body of a stallion. His fur had started to change to a shade of dark blue, but only halfway up his body. His sheath and balls sagged low between Luna’s legs. She found the idea irritating. A pair of legs as wonderful as hers needed a beautiful pussy to match.
But that was what the panties were for. With the old, stinky, brutish boxer shorts disposed of, she could move onto the next item in the package. A pair of black lace panties, held together by a small pair of strings. Luna always liked to wear something a little sexy under her chaste outfit – and these were as elegant as they were arousing. It took much convincing to make Rarity design them.
Starfire could only watch as Luna slid the panties up his legs and towards his exposed crotch. They were far, far too small to contain his flaccid genitalia. Luna carefully stretched the front and back until they slipped up and over his large testicles. His sheath peered out from over the top, but for the sake of activating Luna’s devious magic it would do for the moment.
Starfire could feel a churning deep in his stomach. A sense of vertigo caused his head to swim and bile to swell in his throat. He could feel his testicles pushing up inside of him. He pumped his hips as they compressed themselves against the hole they emerged from. Starfire, like any young stallion, had been subject to testicular damage caused by his friends before. This eclipsed any mischievous nut-shot he’d ever felt.
A trained boxer could have pummelled them like a speedball, and it still wouldn’t match the agony he was experiencing. He doubled over and tried to control the pain by breathing heavily. Luna watched with an enraptured expression as the once oversized sacks shrunk into a neat package that fit snugly inside of the panties. She used to her magic to tug the front of the panties up all the way, finally concealing his sheath from sight.
“Ah, much better!” she concluded, not concerned for Starfire’s health for even a moment.
What was once his pride and joy was no more. The leathery patch of skin that was once a mighty shaft and virile balls was now primed for something new. Starfire felt a sharp stabbing pain downstairs, and then the feeling of his skin splitting in two. He wailed until his voice grew faint and hoarse. Thousands of new nerve endings stitched themselves together from the old as the internal walls change to a soft, welcoming pink.
A thick, suckable clit peered out from between onyx black lips. This was no imitation. A new cavity had been created inside, a fully functioning womb and ovaries that were ready to produce a healthy foal. Starfire reached down and pressed against the front of the lacy black prison, only now realizing the full extent of what Luna had done.
“O-Our… our cock!”
The vulgar language sounded so much worse in Luna’s royal timbre. “Don’t not use our voice to air such vulgarities,” Luna complained, “I am giving you a delightful gift. The least you can do is be thankful, and remember that a proper royal lady should always consider her words carefully!” Starfire was in too much pain to take in Luna’s lesson on manners.
The next target of Luna’s magic was his chest. She used her magic to quickly unbutton the white dress shirt and removed it from his body. He’d completely neglected to contain his buxom chest within the bra she had provided, and that just wouldn’t do! Luna irritably took the matching black bra from the package and reached around Starfire’s chest, clipping it shut. The broadness of his chest allowed it to stay up for the time being. At least now her counterpart would not have to suffer the discomfort of having his nipples rubs against the inside of his shirt.
Luna retrieved the shirt and redonned Starfire with it, making sure to tightly button it shut and remove any creases using her magic. Half transformed, wearing a woman’s underpants and wearing nothing but a shirt – he looked every bit an image of a shameless pervert. Luna forgave him though, after all, it was for her eyes only. And a good royal would never gossip with others.
“Don’t worry our beloved subject! Just a little more and you will finally be worthy of royalty.”
Starfire tried to resist her grip, but the strength had been completely robbed from his body. All he could do was watch in terror as she approached with the thin pencil skirt. She slipped it up and over the thigh socks and zipped it to him. She returned a moment later with a dazzling black belt, with a silver and gem studded buckle at the front. Luna pulled on the end of the belt until it took his breath away.
“A slim waistline, our pride and joy,” she explained, “We drive those drooling nobles wild with these curves of ours!”
He felt the corrupting influence of Luna’s magic creep up away from his waist and legs until it reached his chest. He couldn’t see the spread of the blue fur now that it was covered, but he knew something was when as his chest began to ache. His heart burnt in its cavity as he suddenly struggled to inhale. Luna moved again, returning with a purple waistcoat between her hands. Luna quickly threw it on over the shirt and buttoned it up tight. She then unwrapped the matching tie that was wrapped around her forearm, slipping it through and under his collar and quickly knotting it closed.
Starfire’s blossoming chest pushed against the padded insides of the cups. His nipples, not intended for use by the males of the species, grew larger and more sensitive. The pain was punctuated by a touch of pleasure as he felt the lining of the bra dig into the new, soft flesh of his breasts. Years of work to sculpt a body he was proud of was washed away in moments as his muscle was replaced with fat – for the singular purpose of titillating the opposite sex or feeding a prospective foal.
As the fur crept further up his neck and contacted his face, he could feel his mind becoming jumbled with years and years of unfamiliar memories. A second birth, a beloved sister, jealousy, anger, hate, isolation, sadness. The emotional toll was almost as great as the physical one. He was split into two, an internal battle in his mind for control over his body. Luna paid his bitter expression no mind. “You will feel what we feel, see what we see – we will be of one mind! And your heartfelt desire will finally come true.”
Luna retrieved the final pieces of the ensemble from the table and brought them over to the bubbling, shifting flesh that was once Starfire. He was almost complete. But even now his own features pushed through the Lunafied mask and created sometime entirely too uncanny for her own comfort. The last few items would deal the finishing blow and eradicate his individuality.
Luna pulled Starfire up and off the couch so that he stood before her. Where he once stood two or three heads above the Princess, they were now eye to eye. He stared into those vicious cyan orbs as she set about the final part of her grisly work. Using her magic to hold out his arms, she forced the jacked on and over his shoulders. Starfire nearly buckled over as he felt his shoulder blades crunch and close inwards to narrow his torso. Luna used her hands to keep his head captive.
“Nearly there, nearly there…” Starfire’s ears flicked as the cold metal of the tiara slipped over his eyes. Luna had specified a gem that matched her own in colour and shape, although the imitation was less than perfect giving the hand-crafted nature of her own crown. That was something that Luna would rectify as soon as the transformation was complete. She had a few dozen other headpieces spare in her bedchamber.
Starfire could feel a deep ache in the muscles and bones in his face as the final adjustments were being made. From someone who would induce a double-take from a passer-by on the street to a perfect reflection of the mare stood across from him. Pursed, kissable lips, high noble cheekbones, and a lengthy muzzle that captured the essence of royalty and high breeding. Luna stared into Starfire’s eyes as his usual shade was replaced with her own cyan.
“Now for these…” Luna was quick to slide the silver rings on the same two fingers that she wore her own on. A personal touch! The transformation was so perfect that his ears already contained the holes pierced into the real Luna’s. It made the job of pinning them onto his long blue ears easy. They were the same shade of chrome silver as the rest of the accessories she’d selected, decorated with hanging chains and gems that formed a snowflake like pattern.
“I almost forgot!” Luna pulled out a small bag from her pocket and opened it out into her palm. She had brought one of her tie broaches from her personal collection. She clipped it on over the front of the tie. She then got down onto her knees and pulled out a pair of tall black high-heels, slipping them over Starfire’s new and dainty feet.
Luna stepped back from the exhausted Starfire with a smug grin. She snapped her fingers and a full-body mirror appeared in a flash of light. Starfire could not believe his own eyes. In the place of his normal self was… Princess Luna. When he moved his arms and legs, the Luna in the mirror did the same thing. Meanwhile, the real Luna stood behind him with a beaming smile on her face. She hopped up and down on her hooves like an excited filly. “You look perfect! It is like looking upon mine own visage!”
Starfire twirled to face Luna with a panicked look on his face, “W-Why hath you turned me into thyself?” Even his own normal style of talking had been erased!
“Is this not what you wanted?” Luna asked with genuine confusion, “Now you may experience our own daily life first hand!”
Starfire now realized the blunder he had made. Luna had taken his request not just seriously, but earnestly. She had used her incredible, godlike magic power to transform him into her. And not just physically. The feelings and memories that had been jostling for position in his mind since the dream were put into a new context. They were Luna’s! The clothes, the speech, Luna had planned the entire thing from the very start.
Now that he was equipped with all of Luna’s memories and emotions, the twisted logic that she had used to justify this invasion of his life became clear to him. In Luna’s eyes she was merely fulfilling a wish given to her in earnest, after all, why would any of her subject lie inside of a dream? Not only that – but Luna had a tangible, inexplicable lust for herself. Starfire felt his own pussy growing moist as the preceding events filled his mind from Luna’s perspective.
Wait, what was that?
Starfire walked it back and thought it through again and again. No amount of soul searching could explain it to him. Luna lusted after herself, he’d heard of people who suffered from narcissism, but to be attracted to yourself was something else entirely. Luna found it sexually fulfilling. She hadn’t realized it until the plan was set into motion. She’d been enjoying herself, and now that there was a copy of her vulnerable and breathless…
That was when he finally noticed. The hunger in the real Luna’s eyes was palpable. Her mind raced with a dozen foreign thoughts; seeing her beloved subject turn into an exact copy of her had driven her wild with lust. To completely and utterly eradicate all that he was and replace him with her, her body, her mind, her refined manner of speaking. And why should Starfire not be honoured? To turn into such a monument to the pony form? To be the apex of was and could be of his species?
Starfire yelped as the clothes that Luna and Rarity had so carefully created for him were removed from his body at incredible speed. The tell-tale glow of Luna’s levitation magic left little doubt as to who was responsible. Luna approached her double with a sway in her curvy hips. She planted a firm pair of hands on Starfire’s flanks, and pull her into a deep embrace. Starfire blushed as he felt their identical chests push into each other.
“We must admit, we findeth our own form most pleasing.”
It was almost like Luna’s feelings were being transmitted to his own mind as she felt them. Starfire had found Luna attractive, as did most stallions with a working pair of eyes, but now he felt a deep, inexplicable lust towards his counterpart that he could not explain. To wit, there was something about engaging in sexual activity with his own copy that felt especially scandalous, and all the more exciting for it.
Starfire let out a beautiful moan as Luna’s fingers pinched and pulled on her new nipples. Luna knew all of her own weak spots, she had hundreds of years of isolation to learn how to play herself like a fine instrument – but Starfire didn’t. She smirked devilishly, a plan forming in her mind to drive the former stallion wild with desire and show him just how much fun being Luna could be.
“P-Princess…”
“Shh. There is no need to be afraid sister. Enjoy thy own hands.”
With the final stage of the spell having settled in, there was no longer any need to keep her counterpart clothed. Luna eagerly unhooked Starfire’s bra from being and released her perfect, perky DD tits. Such a thing had only attracted unwanted attention from lecherous nobles before – but now on the other end of enjoying them she gained a new appreciation for her gifts. Her horn lit up for the last time. His stomach jumped as he felt the spell fire next to him. Starfire opened his eyes and found himself stood inside of a beautifully decorated bedroom. Luna had teleported them all the way to Canterlot!
“No fools will dare interrupt us here, now, where were we?” Starfire yelped as the real Luna threw him down onto the bed behind him. With the only pieces of clothing remaining on his body being his panties and jewellery, there was aught he could do to protect himself from Luna’s probing fingers. She ran them through his soft fur affectionately, and cupped his large breasts in her palms, “Hehe. This is most enjoyable!”
“N-No, keep your hands off the royal breasts you fiend!”
Luna laughed freely like a child. Starfire kicked his legs to try and ward away the horny monarch. But there was nothing he could do to stop her from getting to the panties and throwing them away. Starfire covered his exposed nethers with his hands, but Luna’s magic made any kind of resistance futile. His onyx black pony-pussy was exposed for his audience of one. “As egotistical as it sounds, we believe there is no better marehood in all the Kingdoms,” she boasted, “It feels as fantastic as it looks!”
“Wah! What art thou doing!”
Luna did not delay any longer. She slipped her fingers inside of the tight, wet hole in front of her, eliciting a moan of pleasure from her body double. Luna knew how to drive Starfire wild and bring him to a violent orgasm in no time at all – but what would be the fun in that? Luna intended to stretch it out for as long as possible. After all, she’d used a huge amount of her own magical energy. She was going to get her money’s worth come hell or high water.
She curled two of her fingers upwards and stroke against the front wall of her vagina. Starfire shuddered and gripped the bedsheets until the knuckle skin under his fur turned white. There was no escape from the pleasure that he was feeling now. Every time Luna brushed against another raw nerve it sent shivers up and down his spine and sent his mind into further turmoil.
‘Should I be enjoying this?’ He thought to himself. ‘Aye, of course we should!’ The rebellious Luna inside of him would respond. All of Luna’s earthly and arcane knowledge was his, but he could not drive himself to use it to escape her grasp – because he also shared in her deepest, darkest desires. The unknown part of her psyche that had snapped one day and settled back into the wrong place, the one that wanted to take someone and simply remove them from being.
Starfire screamed as the first orgasm hit. Luna mercilessly thumb-fucked his exposed clit, forcing more squirt from his spasming hole. ‘Starfire’ was knocked flat by the feeling, and for a moment ‘Luna’ took full control, “Oh! Oh! Sister! Sister!”
“Did thou enjoy mine fingers, dear twin?”
“Yes! Yes!”
Luna pushed herself away from the bed and teleported away her own clothes, leaving her completely bare from top to bottom. She swayed her hips with a sexy gait and clambered over the top of herself. Luna kissed Starfire with a burning passion, their tongues duelled and exchange a copious amount of saliva in the process. They kept kissing until the two of them ran out of breath and were forced to separate.
Starfire’s mind was cast asunder by a wave of lust. He saw no reason to be upset about the proceedings anymore. What better gift could Luna have offered him? Not only was his curiosity to be sated, but he would also get to spend the night bedding one of the most beautiful mares to ever live! Magic tugged his head down to Luna’s exposed crotch, “Now – tis only right that thou return the favour.”
Luna’s marehood was wonderful, just like the rest of her. The cotton-candy pink insides contrasted and complimented the leathery black lips that surrounded it. A thick clit peered out from between those vaginal folds. Luna was wet already. Her juices seeped down into her fur leaving uneven streaks in the fluffy hair. He dived in with reckless abandon. His thick tongue slipped inside of her welcoming cavity. Luna shivered as her copy finally started to bring her to her own orgasm induced bliss.
“Thy tongue is most pleasurable!” Luna cried in her royal Canterlot voice - the furniture shook and the windows rattled in their wooden panes, “Our favourite places are the same as thy own!”
Starfire trawled the depths of his new memories for the information he needed. Luna was a kinky young mare. She’d spend hours bringing herself to orgasm after orgasm with illicitly obtained sex toys. By the time came for her to turn the Kingdom over to her sister, her bedchambers would reek of mare cum and her legs would be made from jelly. Luna would sneak the soiled sheets to the laundry room and slip them into one of the incomplete batches.
Those years of experimentation had borne some kind of fruit. Luna had little need of living lovers when she could enjoy herself alone. Starfire prodded at those spots with the tip of his tongue, eliciting tensed muscles and a squeeze from the thick thighs that surrounded his head. He followed a trail, well worn from decades of violent masturbation.
“Ah, very good!” the Princess sighed, “Perhaps there is value in sexual intercourse after all.”
Starfire knew that a single night wouldn’t change her mind that easily. He pulled back from inside of her gushing pussy and planted his lips around her clit, sucking as hard as he could. Luna squeaked like a chew toy and expelled a thick flood of fluid onto his face and chest. He could shower for a month straight and never get the smell out.
Starfire didn’t have time to regroup. Luna was quick to change positions once more. The pair of identical Princesses wrapped their legs together, planting their still sensitive lips together and pushing inwards. The male part of Starfire’s mind was amazed at the sensation. “This position was described to us as ‘scissoring,’ what a crude name…”
Crude or not, the pair were enjoying it to it’s fullest. It was a hard workout for their hips and midsections as they mashed their needy pussies together, seeking a higher level of climax and pleasure. The stench of sweat settled into the air as Luna and Starfire ran themselves ragged. Their moans peaked in unison, and then suddenly they reached a mutual orgasm. Starfire’s vision blanked out for a moment as he fell back onto the bed.
“Ah, an excellent start, dear sister!”
He propped himself up to look at the smiling Princess, “Start?”
Luna smiled, “The night is young! Let us continue!”
Starfire’s body was weak, but the spirit was willing.
Luna’s chambers remained undisturbed for the rest of the night, and even through the following day. Celestia wasn’t going to nag her dear sister to attend breakfast if she was busy with something else. Luna knew this and took full advantage. Starfire – or rather, the second Luna was exhausted having been driven to over a dozen violent orgasms by her counterpart’s skilled tongue and fingers. The identical alicorns were wrapped into an intimate embrace under tangled bedsheets.
“We have enjoyed ourselves!” the real Luna declared, “Would you not agree, my wonderful reflection?”
Starfire groaned and rolled over to face the boastful monarch, “You are a beast most ravenous – what in Equestria drove you to do such a thing?”
“For a lack of shame, sister, we have lived for over a thousand long years. There is naught we can experience that we will reject without trying.” Starfire felt the weight of that time heavily burdening his heart, like he had lived it for himself. He could also now feel the way that Luna did when she decided to molest a copy of herself just for fun.
“Perhaps that time in isolation drove us quite mad.”
Luna laughed, “And what a wonderful madness it is sister! I despair at the thought of us ending this arrangement so soon.”
Starfire’s mind was in no position to make a rational decision. He had been split in two by Luna’s magic, and only one side was holding the controls at the moment. She blinked herself to awareness and sat up in her bed, “Sister, who says the fun must end now?”
“Quite right!” her counterpart declared, “Let the fun continue!” The two Lunas got out of bed and headed to the wardrobe, dressing themselves in the same clothes, brushing their tangled manes in the same way, and adorned themselves with the same makeup and jewellery. More and more, Starfire’s old self was being drowned in a sea of lust filled enthusiasm.
‘No you idiot’ he chided himself, ‘We can’t stay like this!’ No amount of shouting would change her course now. In the blink of an eye the two Lunas had co-ordinated a pair of matching outfits and were making plans for the day. Luna had managed to convince herself that there was nothing strange about turning someone into a copy of herself.
It wasn’t that Starfire was a captive, banging against the bars of a locked cell. Luna’s memories and actions were stilling being dyed in his colour, passed through a filter that made them slightly different. It was a peaceful existence of two minds occupying one brain, except for one major problem. His own Luna didn’t want to go back to how things were.
After all, this was everything they ever wanted, wasn’t it? They had never been so thrilled by anything in the thousand plus years of their life so far. What kind of fool would give it up so readily after finally finding a reason to enjoy life?
That sobering thought made one thing clear to what was left of Starfire. He needed to take back control before the Luna in his own mind decided to make it permanent!
Celestia had been getting increasingly suspicious about the absence of her sister for the past few days. Luna rarely made herself sparse unless some kind of shenanigans was being planned behind her back. Those suspicions were proven true one morning when their usual morning breakfast took a turn for the strange. The large wooden doors at the end of the dining room swung open, and two Lunas walked through the door and took seats next to each other. Neither saw fit to comment. Celestia held her tongue for the time being, content to observe the strange occurrence.
“Good morning Sister,” she began.
The two Lunas turned to face her with the same characteristic tilt of their head, they then spoke in perfect unison, “Good morning Sister ours.”
Celestia’s eyes narrowed, “I see that you’ve been keeping yourself busy.”
“We have.”
Celestia couldn’t sense a magical signature that she’d associate with deception spells. Whatever was going on here was something different. There were certainly two others in the room with her. But she had to wonder what Luna had done. She scanned the two of them with her magical touch. Still, despite her close relationship to her dearest sister – she could not sense a single difference between the two of them.
“Luna, forgive me for prying, but have you noticed anything amiss?”
Both Lunas shook their heads, “Nay.”
“Perhaps the presence of a twin?”
The two Lunas turn to face each other. Celestia could see the gears turning in their minds as they tried to figure out just what was so strange about what was going on. Eventually, they turned back and once again pled ignorance, “We see naught amiss, sister dearest.”
“We simply with to enjoy this fine meal with you.”
Celestia could feel the mother of all headaches approaching at a rapid speed. Luna had done something incredibly silly. She could feel it in her bones. “Sister!” she roared in her royal voice, the windows quaked and the carefully laid breakfast spread scattered to the four corners of the grand hall.
“W-We can explain!” the twin Lunas begged as an incredibly angry sun goddess stormed towards them.
“Undo this right this instant, or heavens help me you’ll wish you were back on the moon!”
