He stopped by in one of the coffee shops in Canterlot and dranked to make use of comfort. "Is this sit taken?" a feminine "alto" voice asked him. Chancellor Neighsay looked at her, and appears to be a dark orchid broken-horned unicorn mare with moderate rose hair with lighter edges, and was wearing a poncho and scarf, both black, with a scar in her right eye. Chancellor Neighsay paused for a moment but gave a shook as a response, and she sat down beside him. "You must be the one who invaded Canterlot with your "team", but I don't clearly know who you are, so... your name?" Neighsay asked the unicorn, which gave her a bit of a misunderstanding. " Some call me "Tempest", while some call me by my real name." She answered. "And what was that?" Chancellor Neighsay asked the mare. Tempest seems to be worried about disclose her real name, but still have to give an answer. "I don't want to say it" She nervously answered. Chancellor Neighsay looked at her from mohawk to hoof, and he thought she looked more than familiar, and thought he wouldn't asked about her real name, but still he had no choice. He answered: "Whatever is your real name, "Tempest" still suits you. " "They were two ponies, one was unicorn who lost her horn from her fear, the Ursa Minor bear, and had her friends abandoned her, while the other one was a unicorn who was a cold, merciless, and spiteful pony who cared for no other creature but herself...so, your name?" She asked. Chancellor Neighsay cleared his throat and answred:" Chancellor Neighsay, or just simply Neighsay, I am the Head of-" "The Equestrian Education Association." Chancellor Neighsay paused when Tempest answered this, and Tempest explained. "Well, I can tell you mentioned you are a head, and I can recognize you by your EEA medallion, am I correct? " Tempest asked, and Neighsay gave her a nod, but still confused. "How did you know, that, I mean, you didn't even opened a school." Neighsay said. "How would everycreature forgot the detail that the EEA is a full government body, and many creatures still haven't forgot your judgement againts them." Tempest mentioned, which gave Neighsay a frown. "Sorry, I shouldn't have mentioned that." She said while sipping her coffee. Chancellor Neighsay made an eye contact with her, which gave Tempest a feeling something is suspicious. "Was there something, aside from my scar, or you know, my horn?" Tempest asked. "You have my eyes." Neighsay answered with a smile, which made Tempest in a cute, bashful, light, blush. "Wanna come over?" Chancellor Neighsay asked, and Tempest answered with a no. "I still have to buy bread, ang give them to Grubbber, he seems like his stomach is never full." Tempest said, which made the stallion giggle. "See you soon!" Chancellor Neighsay waved. Chancellor Neighsay never met any mare like that, someone like him, someone who learned what friendship really was, still, they will be learning what friendship is to both of them. "I'm Glad We're Friends"Chancellor Neighsay and Tempest Shadow were walking back to the castle. They were talking about the situation they had moments ago and they were giggling and chuckling. Neighsay asked if she want to come over. The mare said yes and followed him. When they were in his room, they sat in bed beside each other. "Can't believe you watched the whole thing? , I didn't even noticed." She said. "It was the same when you hit the princesses, you had a great way when it comes to fighting. No wonder why you decided to become a captain." Neighsay responded "It was not just I wanted to become captain because of my skills, it was because foals always depend on guards. They always say "If you worked hard, you'll make a better world for them.". The mare said. "I also tried that, so foals can be the ponies they are today." the chancellor said. "Looks like we are on the same page." Tempest said, as she put her hoof in his shoulder. Neighsay saw this and reached his hoof to her hoof, and had an eye contact. Then out of the blue, there was someone knocking Neighsay's door, Tempest opened it and saw it was Grubber. " Tempetht! There you are, I have been looking in every guard room, and you we're in a random room of thith pony!?" He said. Neighsay came beside her and said: "She is not a random pony, she is my friend." Neighsay said. "Well, what if I tell you she only has few minuteth 'til her next practithe." "Oh shit! I forgot, Neighsay, I have to go, I'm gonna be late!" She said, and Chancellor Neighsay closed the door. "Glad that we're friends" Tempest and Neighsay had these in their minds. They will never forget their promise. "Let's be friends" "What?" "Hoof bump if you wanna be my friend." *hoof bump* "So, I did not mean to be furious about what happened moments ago, but it all worked out." "Oh really?" *gulp* "Nah!, Just kiddin'" One day has passed and Chancellor Neighsay was done with his weekend and was dressed up in his robe. As soon as he walked out to buy bread again, he saw the same mare he saw a few days ago, and she was running away from 4 ponies. Neighsay knew she was in danger, and he run as fast as he could before he sees what bad things might happen to his friend. Neighsay was now near Tempest and saw the good hiding spot, then he dragged Tempest away from those ponies. "Neighsay?" Tempest asked as she slowly removed her hood. "Tempest, your safe and sound." Neighsay held her with his whole body. "Aren't you going to the EEA tribunal?" Tempest asked. "You are better than any pile of sheets." the stallion said with a smile, which made Tempest in a bright blush. The two were checking if it is clear, and went out of the hiding spot, then suddenly the ponies that were chasing Tempest earlier were back. Neighsay raised a hoof and Tempest stand back. Chancellor Neighsay charged up his magic and tangle the ponies in chains. "Listen here, this mare was just chasing the robber at Canterlot Bank a few days ago, she's a guard, she isn't another intuder, you're still safe." Neighsay said to the tangled ponies as he releases them. "Thanks for the back up, now you have to go." Tempest said. "I still have to buy bread, Tempest, and it seems I forgot my bits back in my room." Neighsay face hoofed, then Tempest gave him the spare bread she has. "I bought two just in case, but you need this more than I do." She said as she was looking at Neighsay. "I'm glad we are friends." Neighsay said. "Me too." Tempest replied. They hoofed bumped and Neighsay went to his tribunal and Tempest was going back to practice. Now they have the friendship they need The Common Bonds #1: The Grand Galloping GalaAuthor's Note This gala happened before At The Gala. The Common Bonds #1: The Grand Galloping Gala A month has passed by, and Neighsay was in his office with files and papers in his hooves, and a pen he levitated with his magic, and was looking at the big window which was behind him and his desk, and between big bookshelves. He heard a knock, and he heard this, then unlocked the door and opened it. "Whatever it is, make it a little bit quick, I-" the chancellor stopped after he lowered down his files, spin his chair to the mare facing him, and saw Tempest waving a hoof. "Tempest, how did you get here?, I mean, it doesn't mean I didn't want to see you, but how did you know I was here?" "I asked one of your comrades, Professor Mosstone (or Mossmane) , and he did show me where you went, besides, you're always busy." Tempest winked with a smirk. "You are one tricky mare." Neighsay said, which made Tempest giggle a bit. "And, I have something to tell you, if you won't panic." "Okay, then tell me, I won't burst your bubble." Tempest said "Since tonight is the Grand Galloping Gala, I was wondering..." Neighsay smiled and went near Tempest and whispered in her ear and said: "Will you be my partner for tonight?" Tempest got shocked on what Neighsay whispered in her ear. "Is this a joke? Well not the funniest, eh!, But are you sure?" Tempest looked at him. "It isn't a joke, trust me, it's only for tonight, okay?" Neighsay said "Ummm...Sure...I guess" Tempest said in a low pitch voice. "It's okay if you don't want to, I'm fine with it." Neighsay said while looking at her. "Don't worry, I'm fine, I'll accept it, just for tonight, let's just not put things to the next level." Tempest said, which gave Neighsay the smile she expected, and hoof bumped him. "Speaking of "putting things to the next level"..." Neighsay started to nuzzle his cheek to hers. "Hey!, Stop that! What are you doing?! Stop this instant!" Tempest couldn't help but laugh, giggle, and chuckle. It was a good thing Neighsay's office door was soundproof. If it wasn't, then the whole building would think they we're in a lovey-dovey relationship. After Neighsay hearing those laughs, he stopped and Tempest gave her seconds to breathe. "As in, that!" Tempest said to Neighsay. "A few tickles in your cheeks were kind of crazy, but still, I might continue like, later." Neighsay said. "You little-" Tempest started to pet him roughly with Neighsay having chuckles. "I have to go now, still have practice." Tempest said and waves her hoof to Neighsay as she was going out of his office. Grand Galloping Gala Everyone gathered in stunning gowns and clothing, and was entering the castle to greet their soon-to-be-ruler, Princess Twilight Sparkle. Chancellor Neighsay was wearing a black suit with a red necktie tucked in his suit. He was waiting for Tempest in one of the seats. He didn't know that Tempest was looking for him too! She was looking in every table, and there he is. "Neighsay?" Neighsay heard a familiar voice behind him. He saw Tempest in a teal gown with decorative beads in her hair. "I don't know what to say, but it looks wonderful." Neighsay said to her "Thanks, I'm not actually interested in very bright hues, but today, green light." Tempest said and winks at him. "So, remember what I told you?" Neighsay said, trying to get near her cheek to nuzzle it, but Tempest attempted to stop the stallion. "Not so fast, ya little one." Tempest said, which made Neighsay in a bit of a grumpy face with a pout. Neighsay asks her to sit beside him, and the mare agreed. A few minutes later, Neighsay wanted to talk to her. "Follow me." Neighsay said "What?" "I said follow me." Neighsay replied back. He took her to the ballroom, and asked her: "I know you will get shocked by this, but I just have to say, may I h-have this d-dance?" Neighsay asked nervously. "What?! My cheeks are too sore to smile at this-" "So, yes?" "Of course" Tempest said with a thoughtful smile. Chancellor Neighsay gets her hoof, and he led it to his medallion, then Tempest rest her head in his chest and started a slow dance, back and forth. Neighsay was resting his head in hers and was warm. After their dance ended, they were smiling way back to their rooms. "I ummm... can't explain, how these cheeks of mine are sore but it got cringe." Tempest said. "True, when it was almost midnight, we were the only ones in the floor." Neighsay said and they laughed together. "I have to go, this chancellor's work is never done." "Before you go, you, promised this, right?" Tempest said. "What is it?" Neighsay asked. Tempest slowly nuzzled her cheek to his, which caused Neighsay to have a small giggle. They said goodbye with a thoughtful smile and promise at the next gala, they would do it again. At Least were in one pieceAfter finding out that the three races of the ponies; the Earth ponies, the Pegasi, and the Unicorns, are in a terrible arguement and misunderstood, everypony gathered in one place for each type, Ponyville for Earth Ponies, Cloudsdale for the Pegasi, but still, with all the struggling, Neighsay has to find a better hiding place for the unicorns, and to avoid them from any danger whether it was the "ponism" or the disaster of the Legion of Doom. "Neighsay!" A familiar voice was calling him, and it was Tempest. "Tempest, you should have hide somewhere else!" Neighsay told her. "I am not leaving until you find the hiding place!" Tempest said, holding his hoof really tight. Neighsay thinks she is a brave mare, but what she only wanted was to have company. "Look, Tempest, I know we are the same race, same ponies-" "Am I an earth pony?" Tempest asked. "Don't look like one, if you have a broken, horn, it doesn't make you one earth pony. Why did you asked that?" Neighsay said? "I just don't want to be fooled along with earth ponies, I want to stay here! Right here! With you and all other unicorns!" Tempest said. "Everyone knows about you, Tempest, that includes me and Grubber, horn, no horn, you are still Tempest or whatever your real name is." Neighsay said. Then he heard a train sound, which means the train for unicorns were there! After some unicorns were inside the perfect hiding spot that Neighsay chose, the School for Gifted Unicorns, he was tracking the windigos. "Any luck?" Tempest askes him, and Neighsay answered shook. "Here are some other unicorns who came here" Tempest said as she opens the door and sees a crowd of unicorns. "I have to get the other unicorns." "Be careful." Neighsay get her scarf and put it in her neck. "I will" Tempest replied. Neighsay then, gave her a light hug before she goes. He wanted this moment to go on forever, but still, Tempest needs to go if they want to be safe. For that, he released Tempest and she went out. A few minutes later, a filly was willing to speak. "May I have your attention please?" the filly said. "I think we should fight back. Everypony was having confusion, and Neighsay was scratching his head. "You may." Neighsay said politely. "My name is Rassberry Dazzle, and my idea is to fight back." she said, with everyone in confusion in union. "But I don't understand, why would we go out there if three tribes are against each other all of a sudden?" One of the unicorns said from the crowd. "I learned this in Friendship School, by Princess Twilight's Friendship lecture class. We all know this isn't a myth, but adventures are not about a couple of songs, or some kind of musical. We can defeat the windigos together, as in me, the pegasi, you unicorns, and earth ponies, especially our species. That's what we should be, Earth ponies, unicorns, and Pegasi becoming friends! We learned in Twilight's school that friendship is the most powerful magic there is! The more we focus on our differences, thick and thin, the more we get separated. We can't just leave them alone, watching them suffer! We can't watch them lose, and plus, we have seen everything what this world could be! Those heroes are our friends, we can't just leave them alone and do nothing! If we can all go step out of the dark and make it to our light, then only our place will be saved." Everyone was listening to this rousing speech. "I just may have an idea, and thank you for the speech." Neighsay said to the foal, which made her smile. There was a knock at the door, and one of the unicorns opened it, and appeared to be Tempest. "Tempest, we have to go now!" Neighsay said to her. "What do you mean!? Have you gone brainwashed or something like a drunk!?" Tempest said shockingly. "This filly thought us." Neighsay pointed to the filly, and the filly waved Tempest a "hi". "Okay, so what's your plan?" Tempest asked. "Leave it to me." Neighsay winked at her. A few moments later, Neighsay gathered everyone in Equestria. "Is that all of them?" Neighsay asked Tempest. "Why? Do you need more?" Tempest smirked at him. As they saw Twilight and her friends all about to get hit, they prepare the unicorn shield. "What happened? Can I open my eyes?" Spike asked. "Ya sure can! Way to go, Twilight!" Applejack cheered on Twilight. "It's not me!" Twilight said. She looked at the mountain behind her and saw a very big crowd, led by Neighsay. All of the ponies in the crowed did start battle up with the Legion of Doom. "Don't let them escape!." Tirek said. "Which ones?!" Chrysalis was struggling to find the real Mane 6. "The changelings won't fool them forever. And I don't know how long the unicorns' shield will hold." Thorax said with a worried tone. "I don't understand. How are you all here?" Twilight asked. "It's kinda our fault." A familiar voice spoke behind her. "You know those long lectures about friendship you gave at school?" The orange dragon said. Their professors were very proud for the students, they spread the word, they helped them, listened well, and was hardworking. "How 'bout that? It's just like you said the day we opened that school." Applejack said. "The more creatures who know about friendship, the safer we'll be." Spike said. "We told you you had it all figured out!" Pinkie said with a positive tone. As they were happy, there was bad news, the unicorns shield started to deactivate. With all these chaos, Twilight decided to speak up. "ENOUGH! Because of you, I almost lost my way! But everycreature here has reminded me of the true power of friendship! There will always be darkness in the world, but there will also always be those who find the light! The Pillars knew this! That's why they created the Elements of Harmony! The Elements showed me and my friends how strong our friendship could be! Together we worked to bring harmony to Equestria! But there will always be more to do! Which is why we teach others about the Magic of Friendship! Others who will continue our mission after we are gone! Now I truly understand! The Elements were just symbols! The real magic has always been right here! And the more who understand how powerful friendship is, the stronger we will all be! Together!" Twilgiht had her, the Pillars, her friends, and her students surging very powerful magic, which finally beat the legion. "This is bad, isn't it?" Cozy said. Now they were defeated, Queen Chrysalis had her time. "You think friendship will save you?! We will always return! Nothing will ever stop—!" Queen Chrysalis's talk was disturbed by a giant cupcake, and started to rain chocolate. "Chocolate rain?" Tempest said. "This isn't a phenomenon that I have seen." Neighsay said. Then suddenly a bit of chaos occured. "How do you feel?" Twilight asked Pinkie. "Hmmm...tingly... itchy... also...like...I could transform the cosmos so everything is made of icing!!!" Pinkie said, in her gigantic-sized self. "More like turn the universe into some kind of bakery." Neighsay blurted out, while a few unicorns looks at him annoyingly, while Tempest with a curious smile. "Whaaat? It almost kinda makes sense." For a moment they saw their enemies, finally defeated, turned to stone, and definitely nowhere to escape. "Looks like this is it, right?" Tempest asked Neighsay. "I guess your plan in gathering the whole Equestria was what I call a success. "Thanks, I just did what I had to do, thank also the students." Neighsay winked at her. "So where to next?" Tempest asked him. "Maybe a quick break." Neighsay said, as Tempest follows him at his side, she knew she has a friend to trust in problems, big or small. First Fight as FriendsThere was a knock at Neighsay's office, which inside was the tall, lanky stallion with a maroon robe, neat mane, and a clipboard and ballpen that were levitated. "Enter." Neighsay answered. He looked behind him and saw his beloved friend, Tempest, who was in her poncho and scarf as always. "Tempest, *scoffs* long time, no see." "Until now I guess... I was just here for something. And you might not want to hear it." Tempest said. "What do you mean?" Neighsay asked her. "Look, please, I don't need you to hear this." Tempest said. "Just tell me!" Neighsay told her. "Okay, I have been late at practices many times, and many gurads caught me spending time with you, even Grubber, they told me I have been spending time with some distraction, Grubber was right at first, you were just a random pony!" Tempest told him. "What's wrong with it?" Neighsay asked her. "Why they call me a random pony!?" Neighsay asked her, and he was about to blow. "I didn't know why I chose to be friends with you! If I didn't became one to you, then this situation wouldn't have happened." Tempest said. "Then if I became friends with you, I would have saved you from those ponies who chased you months ago! If I was a distraction to you, then why did you even chose us to be friends in the first place!?" Neighsay got furious at her. "Huh? Now it's my fault!? Don't blame me, you should have disagreed and continue to fight like dogs and cats!" Tempest talked back. "Maybe this why your so-called friends betrayed you! You turned into a traitor, a Mad Pony!" Neighsay shouted at her. "Woah! If I was the distraction in the first place, I would have disagree with some dumb request!" Tempest shouted back. "After seeing you in such a cape that looked like a criminal, I would have got a glass shard!" Neighsay yelled. "Oh? Really? What I could do better is one kick will break more than a limb!" Tempest yelled back. "I didn't know why I chose you to be friends... I shouldn't have gone with someone in this attitude!" Neighsay said. "Even yours as well!" Tempest shouted. "Don't even try to face this chancellor with those eyes!" Neighsay said. "Oh, then what are you gonna do? Stare at me!?" Tempest shouted. "I had enough! Don't even think you're not in trouble!" Neighsay said. "C'mon, stare at me if you want to! I can't take it anymore as well, I DIDN'T KNOW WHY I CHOSED TO BE FRIENDS WITH A SOMEONE WHO WAS ROTTEN TO THE CORE!" Tempest shouted. "DON'T EVEN TRY TO TO TEST MY PATIENCE, YOU TRAITOR! YOU CAUSED A PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE! SO DON'T TRY TO TAKE THAT BREATH EVER AGAIN! I KNEW I SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN YOUR FRIEND IN THE FIRST PLACE! We couldn't be in this mess if you weren't so pigheaded!" Neighsay shouted at her with his very loud and clear Canterlot voice. Tempest got shocked... and saddened at the same time. She looked down away from him. Neighsay saw those sad, averting eyes pouring out a tear. Neighsay had pity for her. Since he felt this feeling before, he just went near Tempest and hug her gently. Those beautiful eyes, shimmering aqua hue's cause for its reflection... was those tears. He never knew she sould be this hurt emotionally. "Look... what I said... I got carried away... I-I have no excuse." Neighsay took a deep breath and started to say those 2 words. "I'm Sorry." Tempest was just sniffling and crying like a quiet bunny. She tried to control her tears, but she couldn't, she would just return the hug to Neighsay. "It's okay, Neighsay, I'm okay." "Doesn't look like you are." Neighsay said, as he wipes a tear from her eye carefully, since this was the eye that had a scar on it. He then wipes it off her face and caress her neck. She sniffed a bit and showed that smile that Neighsay was expecting. "That smile... You should get used to it." Neighsay said to her. "I think I have made a right choice to be friends in the first place." "I think you should go to practice now, you're almost late." Neighsay winked at her. "And I forgive you, Neighsay, I owe you an apology too." Tempest said, as she gave him a last hug. Sometimes friendship isn't just about love, sunshine and bonding, but also negative emotion. That's why friends should learn how to go through it. The Common Bonds #2: Hearths' Warming EveIt was nighttime when every creature went to their friends' houses to celebrate the coming of Hearths' Warming. Neighsay knew where he will be going, and he will be going to Tempest's neighboring tower next to the castle. He noticed a window below her tower, which might be what he will be discussing about. He didn't knew that this would lead to a situation. He was having difficulty finding her area, and accidentally bumps into Tempest. "Ouch!" "Sorry Tempest! I was trying to look for your room." said Neighsay. "Going to my room? I was supposed to go to your area!" Tempest said. "Well, let's just go to my area." Neighsay followed her steps leading to her room, and there it was. Behind that door was her bed and a small drawer and small bookshelf, and even her little hedgehog's bed was beside hers. "Okay, now where is that hyper hedgehog of yours?" Neighsay asked. "You mean Grubber? He is celebrating Hearths' Warming with my friends after he knows that I will be celebrating with you. Instead of calling you a distraction, he thought you were my boyfriend." Tempest said. "I beg your pardon!? He called me your boyfriend?" Neighsay said in shock. "He did, and I tried to tell him you weren't, were just friends, Neighsay, and we will maintain that." Tempest said. "Next time, I will call him a meatball." Neighsay blurted. Tempest just gave him a raised eyebrow and a playful smirk. "Karma is real, I guess." Tempest said, which made Neighsay chuckle a bit. "I noticed a window below your tower, and it doesn't seem to be around here. Did you even know what is under your area?" Neighsay asked her. Tempest did nothing but had a smirk in her face, which made Neighsay feel uncomfortable. "Looks like you know about it." Tempest said to him. "You know!?" Neighsay was in shock. "I'll show you." Tempest said. "How will you even get there?" Neighsay asked. "It is under my bed." Tempest said. She led him under it and told him about it. "Do you see anything... different?" Tempest asked. "I don't, but. whatever you're saying is creeping me out." Neighsay told her. "You see the floor tile in here?" Tempest told him. "It is a purple shade unlike the rest of the purple tint tiles. This is the doorway." Tempest led him in. Neighsay followed her, and the room was just... dark. Tempest touches the walls and find the switch. She found it and flipped it on. All that Neighsay saw was a bed, which was bigger than Tempest's, bookshelves bigger than hers as well, and a pile of books. And above the shelves he saw a chessboard. "I still remember playing chess back in my days." Neighsay looked at the chessboard above the shelf. "Have you learned how to play chess?" Neighsay asked her. "Ummm... No, I haven't." Tempest told him. "I'll show you, I'm a professional." "I can't even beat a professional, I'm just a beginner." Tempest said. "I will just show you the basics." Neighsay told her. He has been teaching her for one hour and is already a fast learner. "Ready?" Neighsay asked her. "This mare was born to be that!" Tempest said. Neighsay was sure she was and assembled the board. He summoned 2 pockets and put a piece in it, a White knight in one and a Black Knight in the other, then he shuffled them. And led one to Tempest. She just had a raised eyebrow of confusion. "Ummm... the color you are playing is in this pocket." Neighsay said. Tempest held the pocket and opened it, and came out a Black Knight. "I will make it difficult or easy depending on how you play." Neighsay winked at her. "I might checkmate your king in a jiffy." Tempest winked back. They started the game, which can lead to not a deadly cause but more strategy and tactics. Starting with Neighsay and going to Tempest. They have been playing for minutes aand they kept getting stalemate. When it was 11:58 PM, they now went out under the bed and sit on Tempest's bed. Neighsay lied down in pillows, and so did Tempest. After seeing her, Neighsay sit up and rest his back in the back of the bed. "C'mon." Neighsay said. Tempest listened to him, and she went to Neighsay and leaned her head in his chest, which made him blush a bit. "We keep getting a stalemate, I think soon it will no longer be a stalemate." Tempest said. "It would be a checkmate? I made it easy for you so you can beat me easily." Neighsay said. "You seriously have to do that!!!" Tempest said as she rubbed Neighsay's neat mane and after, it got a bit messed up. Neighsay noticed this and fixed it. They noticed that the moving hand in their clock is nearly on midnight. They had a countdown, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...And there it was... It was Hearths' Warming. "Happy Hearths' Warming, Tempest." "Happy Hearths' Warming, Neighsay" "Happy Hearths' Warming, you both." Tempest and Neighsay frozed after hearing a familiar voice. It was Grubber. "Hello, meatball..." Neighsay said. "WHO ARE YOU CALLING A MEATBALL!?" Grubber got a grump face at Neighsay, and Neighsay was just fine with it. All he had was a smirk. "Oh my gosh! I like these boys." Author's Note Merry Christmas Everyone!!! -Decokelow The Common Bonds #3: New Year (New Year, New Someone Special)After Hearths' Warming, six days later, I wanted to celebrate New Year with Neighsay at his room. I felt my cheeks in a very warm, but temperate temperature as it was red, since it was going to be New Year in 4 hours. I allowed Grubber to stay for the night and sleep with my friends, Spring Rain and Glitter Drops. He had been spending time with them a lot when it comes to occasions. Good thing Neighsay is who I have thought of whenever he is around or not. He's my 24/7 365 friend, as always. If there is New in New Year, I hope it doesn't change us. "Tempest?" Neighsay called her. "Neighsay! This is an unexpected time to interact. Let me guess, you're going to my room." "No I wasn't, I was looking for you. I knew you would be in my area." Neighsay winked, and Tempest replied with a soft, cute, giggle. She was a friend I would always remember. She reminded me of someone very familiar in my youth. Now I'm older, I had forgotten that someone ever since that friend of mine left. I mean, that rose hair, had a scent of cinnamon for some unknown reason. All I had to do was nuzzle it while hugging her in the back. She never knew I had feelings for her. Yes, I have a secret crush on her. I don't mind her scar nor her horn. All I focused was on those very pretty eyes looking at me back, with a nice shine and reflection. And the other one I focused was her smile. Everything I have seen outside and inside of her was like that friend I mentioned. Everything. Everything was the same, except, I had to know one truth...her actual name. "Neighsay, we have hours left before it's a new year, we have to go now." Tempest told him. She then followed him to his room. I could have hide my blush from Neighsay. I mean look at him. I would have been secretly calling him a distinguished gentlecolt. He has been the stallion I know he is. I had been having feelings for him for months since we met. That slick, neat hair was smooth whenever I snuggle him at the back. He would be startled all the time when I done that. He may be a tall, lanky, chancellor, but he mentioned he will soon get the title Ambassador as the highest rank in that department of education. We always had in common. I just thought he wouldn't like me back, right?. I think what remains the same on a new year is our bonds and everything. Once they entered the room, they saw a small balcony, same as Tempest's. Everything she saw after her situation at the robbery months ago was right there. And she always expect a small bookshelf. "Tempest?" Neighsay called her. "Yes, Neighsay?" "Have I ever told you that you looked someone familiar?" Neighsay told her. "Me? Familiar? Nah! No way!!! Do I?" Tempest asked him. "Yes, you were related to one of my friends in my youth." Neighsay told her. "What were the things me and your friend have in common?" "All I could remember was her..." Neighsay stopped for a moment, looking at those gorgeous eyes. "I remembered her eyes." Neighsay said. "What did it look like?" "Like ours, Tempest. Teal-like eyes. Everytime I heard her voice, it makes me comfortable. It was cute though." "Oooohh~ Somepony's got a crush~" Tempest teased. "Of course not! Well, kinda have on somepony." Neighsay replied. "Then... What is her name ?" There was those eyes... Looking at me back. I couldn't tell her! What if she rejects me? What if we're not friends anymore? What if we will restart as strangers again? "I'll think about it once I'm ready." "You have to, it going to be a new year. Whoever that someone is, I bet you're lucky to have that friend." Tempest replied, and Neighsay reacted with a smile. He is who I thought about. Yes, he has a crush on someone else. I was about to tell him, but my cheeks can't help but get swollen. After all the places I traveled around Equestria, and found him like a lonely stray dog, I would have pet him like he was one. "Tempest, would you like some coffee for tonight?" Neighsay asked her, and she nodded. She would have some hot coffee even though she likes cold latte. I guess you'll never know until you try it. A few minutes later, Neighsay levitated a tray of two coffee mugs with two spoons. He gave her one each. She gave her coffee a blow and a sip. She never had this taste before, and then she smelled the strong aroma. After the taste, she leaned and rest her head on Neighsay's shoulder. Neighsay then noticed and petted her. They then talk for hours before 12 midnight. Neighsay set an alarm clock and when it alarms, it will signal him of the new year. A minute before it was midnight, Neighsay lied down in his bed with Tempest beside him. "Is it okay if I sleep with you for tonight?" Tempest asked him. He frozed and looked at her, in a cute blush. "'Kay, okay, as long it's for tonight, right?" "Just tonight." Tempest winked at him. "Wait, look at your clock!". Neighsay did look at his clock, and found out that the red hand is approaching to number twelve in 10 seconds. He then had a countdown in his mind. Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one... Now it was a New year, fireworks lighting up the night sky, creatures cheering loudly everywhere, and a new chapter. Tempest and Neighsay walked to the balcony to watch the fireworks, looking wonderfully and beautifully. Tempest is very impressed. I was right. I think I should give me and herself time to know about my secret. I shouldn't shock her in a great night. I have never seen a great, big smile coming from a stallion I loved. I think he needs more and more time before he knows about my feelings. An hour later, the two ponies were yawning cutely. They were getting to bed to be ready for morning in a few hours. "Good night, Neighsay." "Good night, Tempest." Tempest was sleeping well in his soft bed. Suddenly a few seconds, Neighsay put his hooves around Tempest's waist from behind. Tempest did notice this and hide a blush away from him. What a comfortable night she is having. When it was morning, he prepared Tempest to go back to her area. Before Tempest could leave, she then gave Neighsay a tight hug. Neighsay then blushed. They weren't foals anymore, but this moment could go on forever, especially to long lasting friendships. Somewhat "Miracle"Neighsay, it has been two years... Tempest... It has been so long Why won't you just get used to being somepony we loved? Neighsay is all I could think of. I loved his smooth, slick, very dark grayish blue mane, his light grayish blue complexion, and his fine, pretty, dark moderate cyan eyes. Everytime I see those handsome eyes meeting in my direction, I felt like in heaven. He may be strict and stubborn to some ponies, but I found him an annoying, which I'm okay with it, and very unique guy. I love Tempest by many comfort factors, basically that very dark desaturated magenta flesh, the fresh and strong pink mohawk, and those fine, reflecting beautifully, eyes that were related to mine, but a bit more moderate. Her personality suited her, and she was cool as a tree, adorable like a bunny, and a very fine hummingbird. I mean, every stallion deserves to be reliable with their ladies, but who is mine? I thought that I have finally found that one somepony. When it comes to me and Neighsay, I thought my bondings with my other friends would just wither and decay like a weak leaf. It is whether I choose a formerly stern stallion who starts to have a sweet spot, or a little hedgehog who was in my side for years, two childhood buddies who I have been galloping around on, and a group of friends who were the reasons of my redeeming. We could be somehow related, right? Or we have something that would like...make a plot twist. We already knew each other's feelings, and it made as closer and closer when... Chancellor Neighsay... When I asked her for a break. While Tempest and Grubber walked from his room, Grubber saw a great blush and a great smile. "Lookth like thomepony enjoyed her time with her friend, did you?" Tempest looked at him, but not a word came out of her mouth, but the corners of her lips were slightly raised. "I'll take your thmile ath a yeth" "Of course..." Tempest said with cute, adorable, averting eyes. "Lookth like you're hiding thomething very fithhy, tell me or elthe I might be able to make a plot twitht on thith one." "Okay, fine, fine, fine, I have feelings for him!" Tempest didn't knew there were guards listening to their comments and conversation. Tempest and Grubber then turned their eyes to the guards paying attention to the conversation. They all left with a nervous smile. "Now that he knowth...what wath hith reaction?" "He told me first that he liked me, then I did accepted it." "Well, that ith more interethting plot twitht. Better than the plot twith we thaw in a thtory when thith boy liketh muthic even though hith whole family banned muthic, ethpethially the guy who wath known for muthic, and thought he, himslef, thought he wath hith dethendant, but then when he went to the afterlife alive, that dude wath his great-great-grandfather'th foe, and that thtranger he met wath hith real one and the one who made the muthic. That fake guy just poithoned his ancestor. I know I'm bad at thummarithing, but still, yourth ith a better plot twitht. " Grubber said, which made Tempest roll her eyes in annoyance. "Wait, I shouldn't have come yet to his room for going back to our area, bethideth, you just learned each other'th feelingth for jutht a thecond, and thtopped for another couple thecondth. Tho... yeah, It'th better to thay with him ath long ath you like. I feel like he needth thome company from a truthted friend of hith." "You really think so?" "Of courthe! You alwayth feel comfortable when he ith the one who gave you company, tho pay him back with the thame behavior." "Thanks for the advice." "You will thurely feel the love tonight!" Grubber said, as Tempest rolled her eyes once more, and proceed to Grubber's advice. When she came back to the place she last went to, Neighsay's room, she knocked on the door. There wasn't an answer. After a thrice of times, Tempest opened the door, and saw something she didn't expect. She saw Neighsay... but he was different. He wasn't wearing anything and his light azeruish gray coat was left uncovered, and still had the bandaged Tempest patched up earlier. "W-Why y-you didn't a-answer the door?" "Well, you, shouldn't have opened it." "You should have just locked the door. It is very... umm... how can I describe this?" Tempest panicked at Neighsay's appearance, then Neighsay got near her. This made Tempest's cheeks feel like they were warming up. "Another coffee would be nice, want some?" Neighsay asked her, then a nod was her response. She then removed her poncho and scarf, and all that was remaining was her black, skin-tight, sleeveless tunic. She then put them beside Neighsay's bed. She saw new books, and stare at them for 10 seconds. After those 10 seconds, there was a kiss in Tempest's cheek, which made her chuckle at Neighsay, whose lips were slightly raised. They then stand by the balcony and had a talk. "Why did you came back? I mean, was that a goodbye to me?" Neighsay's eyes were looking down on the floor instead of being focused on Tempest's light tint eyes. "It wasn't goodbye, Chancey, you know that." Neighsay then had a flushed, blushed face, and now the eyes were focused on her. "Oh, shit, sorry, sorry, sorry, Oh my Celestia! What in Equestria did I said?-" "It's alright, it's alright..." Neighsay put his hoof on her chin and slightly raised it so she can focus on him. "First, Chancey, huh? It is kind of cute, in my opinion, and second, I know it wasn't a goodbye." "Oh, thank Celestia..." Tempest was relieved. Neighsay then put a scarf around his neck, and Tempest knew it was familiar. It wasn't even her scarf at all! "Who...gave you this scarf?" Tempest askes him. "My younger brother, but he told me my mother wore this before she passed." "I'm so, sorry for your loss, even though it is too late. How did she even died?" "She died hours after I was born. She had severe bleeding so much. My father blamed me I was the reason why his wife died. He loved her so much, and she was not replaceable." Neighsay looked down, and Tempest saw he almost poured out a tear in those sad, poor eyes. But still, she recalled Grubber's advice to her. You alwayth feel comfortable when he ith the one who gave you company, so pay him back with the same behavior. She then hugged him liked how he hugged her 2 years ago in their first fight as friends . He knew he was never alone, no matter how far or close they are. "By the way, why did you ask about the scarf?" Neighsay asked her. "Because...It looked...very...familiar, I've seen it before..." Tempest said, which made Neighsay in shock. What do you think will happen between them??? To be continued... Author's Note Some reminders :3 Tempest's captions are darker and might not be visible, so make sure your FimFiction page is not on dark mode :) Plus, the colors I used are not available in FimFiction, and about the description of Neighsay's coat, were tints and shades of blue according to my researches. "Cool down, Chancey, I have seen it before." Tempest tries to chill the panicked Neighsay. "I got this scarf since childhood and moved to Ponyville!" Tempest got shocked as he mentioned he used to live in Ponyville. "I guess...you want to know how I ended up in Ponyville?" Neighsay asked her and she then nodded. "So, when I was still Trottingham, my birthplace, I overheard a talk between my brother and my father, who was a lawyer in Trottingham." "You can't let yourself follow your brother around! He is a troublemaker! Everywhere he goes, chaos happens!" "He is old enough, Father, he's just trying. When you see him the opposite, it's all on you..." "He told him he shouldn't have followed me to Ponyville, just because I'm some chaos maker. My brother was my only company the time I go with him to Ponyville." "How old was he?" "He's just young, but my Father did told him I'm legal enough to watch over him by myself. When I got there, I eventually met three fillies." "Three fillies? Where did you saw them?" "Near a school house, their names were Spring Rain, Glitter Drops, and Fizzlepop Berrytwist." Tempest almost spat on her coffee after "Fizzlepop Berrytwist" was mentioned. "Are you alright, Tempest? You got a bit shocked." "Neighsay, I have to tell you something after this, just keep, telling about it so I can understand." "Alright, my dear. Look, Among those friends, Fizzlepop Berrytwist...was the filly I was very close to." Tempest fluttered and almost made him change the topic, but then... "What did she look like?" Tempest askes him. Neighsay thought she forgot their talk when it was New Year's Eve. "Tempest, did you remember our talk 2 years ago?" Neighsay asked her, but she shook her head. "That was her, I said she was...related...to you. Didn't you remember?" "Sorry, but please continue." He did continued his story. "Me and Fizzy were so close, until...when I was by a window watching her playing with my other filly friends, the ball got into an bear cave. I saw she was the one who got it. When I saw her appear, I got shocked...she was different. She was crying, trying to levitate the ball. I saw a scar, and a broken piece in her forehead. I didn't know if it was her ear or her..." He stopped until he looked at Tempest. "Neighsay, let me explain..." "Tempest, are you the only pony in Equestria who is known for being a unicorn earth pony?" "Eventually, I...am." Tempest answered nervously. Neighsay got more shocked for what he just thought. "Tempest, you and your friends were related by appearance. I still remember we had a picture of us as foals. So maybe, it's no way that would be you." "Actually..." she started searching Neighsay's small shelf and saw a scrapbook. The first picture of the second page...was them. "Look, this blue pony is Spring Rain, and the other one was Glitter Drops. Next to her is Fizzy, the purple unicorn, and then you?" Neighsay then got saddened and shocked about it. He looked at her from mohawk to hooves. She was the pony! "Neighsay, this is what I am trying to say...Fizzlepop Berrytwist is my real name. It's me, Neighsay, anything familiar?" Neighsay couldn't take anymore. He hugged her tightly with his whole body. "I spent my entire life, to look for you. I was chosen the head of the EEA when I was just finished college. I felt like you wanted to open a school, because back in our days, you were really a young, little reader. I spent many years just to find you. Now look at us, Fizzy, finally in each other's hooves once again. Tempest was surprised that he used her real nickname. "Like really, Fizzlepop Berrytwist is a cute name rather than Tempest Shadow, eh?" "In your dreams, Neigh!" She nuzzled him in the cheek, as she used his nickname back then. "Change topic, okay, so about all the places you have been on Equestria, what is your favorite?" "I felt like...my favorite is Fillypines. I liked it because there were so much warm-hearted. And also, wgat I like most of them is that they're humorous." Tempest and Neighsay laughed at that part. "Humorous, eh?, Wait, 2 more questions, who is the god or goddess of love in their mythology?" "I didn't read any Fillypino mythology." "Me either." She then glanced at him with bedroom eyes and hugged him. "Love you, silly petal." Tempest said, and Neighsay responded with holding her hoof tightly. "Tempest, it has been so long that we have been together, 2 years, and a long time in our childhood, will you be my girlfriend?" Neighsay askes her gently, holding her hoof with two of his hooves. "Neighsay, we only know our feeling moments ago, but I'm not sure what to answer yet. I hope you understand." said Tempest. He then turn around and went behind Tempest, without looking at her. They were behind each other, thinking if any consequences can happen. The Common Bonds #4: Hearts and Hooves Day/One In a MillionPreviously on The Commander and the Chancellor "I got this scarf since childhood and moved to Ponyville!" I was chosen the head of the EEA when I was just finished. I felt like you wanted to open a school, because back in our days, you were really a young, little reader. I spent many years just to find you. Now look at us, Fizzy, finally in each other's hooves once again." Neighsay and Tempest have started dating for weeks now. The guards were a little confused on their bond and Neighsay's comrades supported him enough. On the day of Hearts and Hooves Day, Neighsay prepared a bowl of mint leaves with grapes and strawberries in it, and two glasses of cranberry juice. When Tempest entered his room, she was delighted with glee and joy. "It was just like when we were foals..." Tempest said softly. "You still remembered that this is what my caretaker made when we were little? I miss my brother already." With that, Tempest pat him in his back and fed him a grape. He did think the grape was sweet...when Tempest feed him one. "Your brother was a friend, pal, and a great pony, huh? He is very lucky to have you as his brother." "Indeed, he is. I haven't seen him since I moved to Canterlot to study. He didn't left me any letters or notes lately, do you think...he is..." "No, no, no, don't think about that in a special occasion. But if I was you, I would have go back to Trottingham." "But it's different, he likes places outside of Trottingham." Neighsay said. "It is okay to talk about your brother, but not too much. I don't want to see you tear up. You will end up like me as well." said Tempest, which led Neighsay in a silent shock. "You know about how I broke my horn, right?" Tempest asked him, but shooked. "Well, it started like this. Me and both Spring Rain and Glitter Drops played outside until our ball ended up in a cave. And then...my fear, was inside that cave." "And what was that fear?" "Didn't you remember? The time we met in a coffee shop 2 years ago, I mentioned about my fear, The Ursa Minor." "You were very lucky it wasn't an Ursa Major, but whether it's the one or another, or even both..." said Neighsay. "I would lose my horn and got a scar, like now, look at me. I'm hornless, and most of all, I thought I was worthless." Tempest said. "Don't say that! You horn is very powerful...and special, just like the pony it belongs to." Neighsay said as he caressed her neck. This made her broke into a smile and lowered her ears. "Well, I do have something to treat you with." said Neighsay. "And what's that?" asked Tempest. With that, Neighsay kissed the stump of her broken horn, and kissed her closed eyelid which had a scar in it. With any manifestation of feelings, she blushes like a bright gumamela. "Uh...shall we move on?" Tempest asked, and the stallion nodded. They proceeded to sit next to each other in bed, and ate their small snack. "Neighsay...?" "Yes?" "What...what was one of the moments we had that you won't forget?" "Uhhh...I still remember when we were foals, both of our tails got intertwined. My caretaker can't do anything but to cut a piece of our tails. We kept pulling it out. And...Spring Rain and Glitter Drops thought we did it on purpose." "In which we actually did!" They both chuckled. "Since that was unforgettable to me, do you think we will attempt the situation again?" Neighsay said with a smirk. "Oh, no, no, no, I, don't want a single tail lock trimmed off!" Tempest said as she rubbed Neighsay in his head. When he got back up, he no longer had a silk, slick mane. He got messy from Tempest's rough petting. Before Neighsay could fix it up, Tempest attempted to stop her stallion. "I won't be doing that after a pet rough if I were you. You look cute anyways." Tempest said with a kind smile and Neighsay had a bashful blush. "They'd talk for hours until evening. What a night they are having. They mostly talk about each other, their pasts when they were still separated, and almost everything. when it was 10:00 PM, they did get a little tired, but still continued their conversation. "Do you think we should sleep now?" Tempest asked. "Actually, I stay awake at a late night during Fridays, and Saturdays. Today is Friday, so I think we should stay our eyes open for a bit." Neighsay said. "Alright." Tempest said, quickly hugging him from behind. Like what she mentioned, he got startled in that moment, and Tempest rest her head in his. He then pinned her in the bed when Tempest had a soft shriek and immediately blushed. "What are you doing!?" Tempest yelled. Neighsay got his head closer to her and kisses her neck multiple times. Tempest then let out a small moan. The moan did surprise Neighsay a bit. Some time passed, he stopped to see how she was doing. All she had was her normal face when they stopped. "Did you...like it, Tempest?" Neighsay asked as he caressed her neck. Tempest gave him a playful smirk. "Next time, don't take it easily, you little-" Tempest pet him, roughly, and Neighsay chuckled as always. "Okay, fine, I promise I won't pin you in the bed this time and do anything fetish, alright?" Neighsay winked. "Alright, if you insist." Tempest smiled. When it was a minute before midnight, Neighsay took the remaining mint leaf in the bowl. He went towards Tempest and sat in front of her in the balcony in his area. "Looks like we had many firsts this day. First love interest, first date, I feel like it's perfect." Tempest said to him. "If you insist then..." Neighsay said as he put his hoof behind her head, and pulled her closer. He bites his lip while looking at her gorgeous, aqua-looking eyes, and slowly looked at her fine lips, and looked those eyes again. He slowly leaned in and their lips collided. Tempest had some kind of shock wave in her chest, and slowly closed her eyes and returned the kiss. The kiss lasted for less than ten seconds. When they broke the kiss, they stared at each other in shock. "Well, that was..." "One in a million? I think I overdid it right there..." "No, you didn't overdid it. The main thing is that you made me happy." Tempest smiled as she blushes. "First midnight kiss in Hearts and Hooves Day? Okay, that statement was too much." Neighsay blurted. A gust of wind blew towards them and got a bit chilly. "Lucky, you have your poncho and scarf." Neighsay said, shivering. Tempest gave him her poncho, besides, she truly cares for her stallion. They then fixed everything, including the bowl and their glasses. They shut the door of the balcony so they can stay warm. Neighsay removed the poncho Tempest gave him and Tempest removed her scarf. They organized and went to bed. "Good night, Neighsay..." Tempest replied. "Love you, Tempest" He said with one more kiss before shutting their eyes. Their hind hooves were tangled and Neighsay hugged her tight in bed. It was warm hug in a cold night. With a warm hug, Tempest returned the hug as well. As the sun peeks in the horizon in a beautiful morning in 5:00 AM, Tempest woke up and saw that Neighsay wasn't hugging her for he was tired. She walked up to the balcony and saw the nice sunshine. Neighsay woke up as well but didn't get off the bed. "Tempest?" Neighsay said. "Neighsay! Are..." Tempest walked near Neighsay in the bed, "...you still-EEK!" Tempest had a shriek when Neighsay pulled her to the bed. "Neighsay, have you gone-" "Crazy? Of course not." "Then...why?" "It is too early to wake up in a nice weekend. Just three more hours." Neighsay said. "Alright, Chancey." Tempest said, as Neighsay hugged her like he did 5 hours ago. Tempest returned the hug and kissed him before they both shut their eyes. And there it was, the same warmth they had last night. "I love you, Neighsay." "And I love you, my sweet gumamela." A Great ReunionChanges have happened since Neighsay and Tempest started dating. They went out on breaks and dates more often, and Grubber convinced Neighsay to stay with Tempest in her area so they can spend anytime. One time, Neighsay went out to see Tempest. He saw her with two familiar looking mares and there was one more mare. She has a golden coat with lemon yellow hair. He went near Tempest and it was obvious that the three other mares saw him. "Hey, Fizz, somepony wants to say hello." The blue mare pointed above her head. When Neighsay was caught, he froze for a moment. When Tempest turned her head around and saw Neighsay standing, smiling at her. "Well, well, well, here comes the Neigh." Tempest chanted. "Wait! Wait! Wait! The same Neigh we befriended years ago before you left?" the greenish mare said. "Exactly." The two mares started to stare at him very creepy. The stallion tried not to squee in front of them. "Come, on you little-" Tempest pulled him beside her. "Wasn't that one of your closest friends?" the yellow mare asked the two mares. "Indeed. But mostly close to Fizzy." One of them answered. Tempest and Neighsay looked at each other smiling, knowing what to do next, except... "By the way, what's your name?" Neighsay asked the yellow mare. "Oh, Starry Night's my name." She shook hooves with Neighsay, quickly, making Neighsay's hoof wobble. "Aren't you the Head of the EEA?" "Yes, he is." Tempest smiled at Neighsay. Tempest wanted to add. "And...he is also...my boyfriend." The three other mares gasped in shock, and Neighsay just smiled. "You guys started dating!? Since when!?" yelled Glitter Drops. "Eh, it was 2 years ago when we met...again." Neighsay answered. "And started dating weeks ago." Tempest winked at them. "I knew it since the day your tails were intertwined! Ah, good old days." said Spring Rain. "Looks like you didn't forget the time we got our tails intertwined...on purpose." Neighsay said. "Mhm, now you can feel the love comin' through your ears." Glitter Drops added. "It's been two years as of today since we met again. This was the pony I was talking about in that 2 years ago. Glad we reunited." Tempest smiled. "To start with a wild reunion, why don't we start celebrating at the Grand Galloping Gala tonight? I'll treat ya." Starry Night said. "You don't have to treat us, Starry. We are the masters and mistresses of our own lives." Neighsay blurted, which led to the mares giggling. "So...see you guys in the gala?" Neighsay asked. "It's a yes indeed." Starlit said. They all said goodbye and left. When it was the night of the gala, the trio, Spring Rain, Glitter Drops, and Starlit were in their attire for the evening. Glitter Drops wore a purple gown with a decorative butterfly in the middle. Spring Drops wore an old rose, sleeveless dress, and it was a simple looking type of attire. Starry Night wore a teal gown with decorative stars along her back. They were waiting in one of the tables. They were waiting for the duo, or should they say 'couple'? They spotted Neighsay walking towards them. He was wearing the same black tuxedo and red necktie he always wear in every gala. But he had no companion. Tempest wasn't in his side this time. "Hey, Neighsay!...Where's Fizz?" Starry greeted. "She is still getting ready. She reminded me she won't take long." Neighsay said. "Well...we waited here for a quarter and you're the only one who came. You should fetch her. She is your loved one after all." Glitter Drops said. Neighsay followed her instructions and made his ways back to Tempest. When he made it up to Tempest's room, he knocked on the door gently so he won't scare her. She heard the knock and decided to open the door. Neighsay thought he saw a female comrade, but it was Tempest, wearing a very dark desaturated pink dress, with a moderate red ribbon in her waist, soft yellow outlines, dark grayish blue dress ruffles, and buttons along front chest. Neighsay have never seen a mare as gorgeous as her. He put his hoof, caressing her beautiful neck. "Was it just me or did I saw my number one beautiful?" Neighsay moaned. "Better lay a hoof and flirt with me one more time, you weirdo." Tempest said, then she moved forward and kissed him slightly. Neighsay can feel his chest in a shallow pose as he stands there returning the kiss. They breathe out like a couple who wanted to have time tonight. "Your friends are waiting for you in the diner. You know they hate waiting." Neighsay said. "Alright, alright, I'll be quick." Tempest said as she reached her final touch. A choker with a red strap and a small pendant in the middle. "Well, that's better, looking like an EEA comrade attending a gala underneath the gleaming moon." Neighsay said, as he caressed her neck one more time. "Shall we move on instead of this flirting? You're fluttering me." Tempest said, and Neighsay nodded. They went down the stairs like a royal couple, but not everyone's engrossed to the couple walking down the staircase. The three mares waiting for her saw her with Neighsay, who was holding his beloved unicorn's hoof. They spent half of their night in Tempesst's room, and the other in the main area of the event. Before it stroked midnight, they were holding a glass of punch in their hooves. "Cheers to the best reunion!" Neighsay cheered. "Salud!" The group shouted in union as they clanked their glasses. This is what you call the best night ever. "Captain and Ambassador"Three years then came by, and the duo's bond and love went stronger and lovable. During the gala, Neighsay proposed to Tempest in which she agreed. They planned their day on three days time. When it was finally their wedding, Tempest stood upon a mirror in front of her in her simple dress Rarity made her. "How was it, darling?" Rarity asked the bride. "Of course, I'm alright, Rarity, I'm just never used to weddings. Especially my own." Tempest said. "Well, Fizzy, today is your lucky day! So lucky you will marry a stallion who truly loves and cares for you! I just finished his tuxedo recently. Not to worry!" Rarity smiled. "I will marry not only a stallion who loves me...but I'm also marrying an education administrator. And he's marrying the Captain of the Guard!" Tempest face hoofed. "Well, that is a very nice combination, but I think you and Neighsay will be lucky to have each other. Just think positive thoughts, Tempest." Rarity said. "Well, wish me luck..." Tempest said. She looked at the small gift box that she was supposed to give to Ambassador Neighsay during reception. "Grubber!" Tempest called him. Grubber came running quickly like a dash. "Do you need any help, thoon-to-be-wife of a random thtallion?" Grubber said. "Of course, my fiancé is not a random stallion." Tempest said. "Can you please give this to Neighsay after you give the rings? It's for him. " "Copy and noted, Tempeth!" Grubber said as he leaves and put the gift box in his pocket. Meanwhile in the main event area, every friend of Tempest and Neighsay's were sitting, waiting for Tempest herself. Neighsay was standing in his spot and also was waiting for his unicorn lady to appear. Then a mare approach to him and said: "Tempest is ready, stay calm, Mr. Neighsay, and good luck." the mare said as she walked away. Neighsay called her so she can approach to him. "Would you mind if you give this to Tempest? Give it to Grubber, along with the rings." Neighsay asked and the mare take it and make sure it won't get lost. Fluttershy's choir started humming and singing as the doors slowly opened. And who was in the door? It was none other than the bride herself. Neighsay looked stunned to see her in a beautiful attire in a special day. "She's perfect" When Tempest was now in front of her beloved stallion, they both smiled in a sweet greeting. "Mares and Gentlecolts." Twilight addresses the guests for the occasion. "We gathered here today to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, and to cherish the words which shall you unite Ambassador Neighsay and Fizzlepop Berrytwist in marriage. Marriage is the promise between two loved ones who love each other, and who trust in that love, who honor each other as individuals, and who choose to spend the rest of their lives together. This ceremony will not create a relationship that does not already exist between you. It is a symbol you will make to each other to continue growing stronger as individuals and as partners. No matter what challenges you face, you now face them together, and no matter how much you succeed, you now succeed together. The love between you joins you now as one." "I, Fizzlepop Berrytwist, take you, Ambassador Neighsay, to be my husband, to have and to hold form this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death. This is my solemn vow." "I, Ambassador Neighsay, take you, Fizzlepop Berrytwist, to be my wife, to have and to hold form this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death. This is my solemn vow." They both smiled as they said their solemn vows to each other. They almost had tears pouring out of their eyes. "Then it is settled, I pronounce you Mare and Colt!" Twilight said. As Grubber passes the rings to the newly weds and the gift boxes., and they both put it in their pockets "Why would they call grooms "colts"?" Glitter Drops asked the other bridesmaids. "Yeah, it makes no sense at all." Spring Rain responded. "It looks like Tempest is marrying a young kid!" Starry Night said. "You may kiss the bride." Twilight said. Neighsay took Tempest's hoof, led it to his EEA medallion and immediately leaned in and kissed her as Tempest returns the kiss. The EEA comrades, the Council of Friendship, the E.U.P. Guards, Tempest's friends, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and everyone in the occasion cheered for the couple. During the reception, Tempest and Neighsay decided to go out in their first night as newly weds. "Well, what did you think?" Neighsay asked her. "Well, I thought it was the best moment of our lives now that we are going to spend the rest of our lives in each other's hooves." Tempest said calmly, looking at Neighsay. "I told somepony to bring this to Grubber, and it must be in your pocket, right?" Neighsay asked her. Tempest then showed the small gift box. They opened it and they saw a small brooch inside. Tempest and Neighsay had the ones that was supposed to be given to each other, but got it back. "I was supposed to give this brooch to you." Neighsay showed her the brooch he will give her. It was a brooch in design of a flower-like shape, and had a very light cyan color. Tempest also showed the brooch she was supposed to give Neighsay. It had the same flower-like pattern, but it was in a soft orange color. "It looks, wonderful, Chancey." Tempest said to him. "I think you have to stop calling me "Chancey" since I have finally reached the highest honors that an EEA leader would have, and I am the first one to reach the rank." Neighsay said. "Ambassador or not, you'll always be the Chancellor I've known forever." Tempest said softly. They then affixed each other's brooches, and Neighsay affixed her new horn and ring. "I love you, Tempest Shadow " "And I love you, Ambassador Neighsay" Little CrackerMonths passed, and Tempest and Neighsay lived a very nice life together, and even had something that you might not be expecting. When Neighsay came home from a half-day work, he greeted Tempest...and somepony else. "Hello, honey." Neighsay kissed in her forehead. "How is our little cracker doing?" He asked. "She's there, freshly powdered in diaper." Tempest said as she points towards a hump in their bed, in which inside was a filly named "Nightingale". Nightingale was Tempest and Neighsay's daughter months after their wedding. Tempest told she got pregnant unexpectedly, but Neighsay promised to be a great father. Nightingale had a dark grayish magenta coat, very dark pink, puffy hair with with dark moderate pink streaks. She even got her eyes from both of her parents. She inherited most of her ambitious attitude from her mother and mostly high curiosity like her father. They go to works less and are excused so they can have more time with their child. That day, they heard a knock in the door. Since it was mentioned that Neighsay is a bit curious, he opened the door slowly and peeked out and saw a stallion and a mare. "May I help you?" Neighsay asked them. "We just wanted to see Fizzlepop Berrytwist." They both said in union. Tempest heard it and thought it was familiar. She peeked too with Neighsay and saw the ponies that almost made her in tears. "Mom? Dad?" Tempest said. "Fizzy!" Her father rushed in to her room and Nightingale got scared and hid behind the bed. Neighsay saw this and went to comfort her. "Dad? Is it really you!?" Tempest said in excitement. "Of course he is! You have grown so much, Fizzle! We were actually staying in Fillypines and we forgot to tell you we were there." Her mom said. "And why we need to tell her we were in the Fillypines?" Tempest's father said. "Of course, we didn't forget that Fillypines was her favorite country that she wanted to go in." her mother said. "Aren't you Cinnamon Roll and Peppermint?" Neighsay asked Tempest's parents. "Oh, Neighsay, you haven't forgotten us, and we didn't forget about you! We have a couple of friends coming with us. You might be shocked if you see them now." Cinnamon Roll said. "Friends? Why don't you let them come in." Tempest said to her mother. Nightingale continued to hide behind the bed with her father guarding her. "Come in, come in, folks!" Peppermint said as he dragged two stallions, and twin foals inside. Neighsay took a look at them and suddenly felt shocked. One stallion happened to look at him and he spoke: "Brother?" the stallion said. "Wait! Fine Feathers!?" Tempest shrieked in shock. "Fizzlepop! We met again! Looks like your living with my bro, huh?" Fine Feathers said. "Brother?" Neighsay spoke. "Now here comes my bro!" Fine Feathers approach to him quickly and pet his mane. "Feathers, remember, hugs, not hair!" Neighsay whispered. "Here is your adoptive niece and nephew. Your niece's name is Precious and your nephew's is Treasure. Hey, little fluffs, that's your Uncle Neigh." Fine Feathers said. "Oocle Neigh!" They both said in union, hoping into their uncle's back, trying to say his name. Precious and Treasure were in Nightingale's age. They were adopted when they were only a month old. Treasure had a dark blue complexion and moderate teal eyes, and his hair was aqua and soft yellow in color. Precious had dark purple flesh, and had light pink eyes. Her hair was moderate pink in color and had the same blue streaks as her twin brother. Neighsay looked at the other stallion, and he felt his heart skipped a beat. It was a lawyer. Not just a lawyer, but also his father. "Son?" he spoken. "Father?" Neighsay said. "Son..." he said. "... You have grown!" the sheriff said as he hugged his son very tightly, in which Neighsay can't breathe. "Dad! Not in front of them!" Neighsay said, which made Tempest chuckle sweetly. They paused after the twins chuckled with a foal. "Fizzy, who is that foal?" Fine Feathers asked. "Just like how your brother is the uncle to your foals, you are the uncle of this filly. Her name's Nightingale." Tempest said. Neighsay's father went speechless and Tempest's parents gasped in shock. "You and Neighsay are married!? My gosh!" Fine Feathers gasped. Tempest rolled her eyes, and Neighsay just chuckled. The family got used to Nightingale. They had a talk for as long as almost the whole day. The couple talked about how did they met and how they ended up tying their knot and having a family of their own. Neighsay's father is the one who is the most curious during the talk, so he had to discuss about his daughter-in-law to his son, and he did get used to his son's own beloved wife. When the relatives went home, Tempest and Neighsay spent their nights all alone with their daughter. When they were all about to sleep, Neighsay was doing his remaining documents while Tempest cradles Nightingale to sleep. Minutes later after Neighsay was done, he went to check on his wife and daughter. "Tired after a play with her cousins huh?" Neighsay nuzzled his foal's tummy which caused Nightingale to giggle. "Tired after a pile of sheets, huh?" Tempest nuzzles her muzzle to his. Nightingale slowly yawned and gently closed her eyes. Looking at this, the couple smiled at their child and Grubber went to her crib with her. Nightingale is always active when Grubber is around. The couple looked down at their child hugging close to the hedgehog really tight. "We always do that most often when we sleep." Tempest complimented. "Well, at least she can breathe while hugging. I don't know if we can relate." Neighsay said as Tempest giggled. "Glad I married you, Neighsay..." Tempest said. "I love you, Fizzy." Neighsay says as he kisses her muzzle. "And I love you...Chancey." -- End of ChapterWell, my fellow dudes, I'm sorry to say to the lovers of this story that this story has come to an end after 13 922 words and 15 chapters. I hope you enjoyed the story and the ship as much as I do! October 16 2021 - February 22 2022 The Commander and the Chancellor Mysterious...The next day, Chancellor Neighsay was at his room getting dressed. He took enough sleep and was already rested up. As soon as he came out to buy bread, he saw a mare with a black cloak and hood, and with a scarf around her neck, and she was running. The chancellor found it suspicious and decided to run after that pony. He ran as fast as he could since this mare was fast. As soon they were chasing, they were in walls batween a house and a shop. "Show yourself!" the chancellor said, holding the mare againts the wall, taking off her hood, and was surprisingly shocked. It was the mare he met at one of the coffee shop last night. "Can you just mind your own business!?" The mare grew furious at him. "I would have known, if you, weren't wearing this cloak!" Chancellor Neighsay yelled. "I am in my own business anyways, the guards are almost doing the exact. same. Thing!" Tempest said. "And what is this "thing" you are playing about? " Neighsay asked. Tempest groaned after, but answered the stallion." One, there was a robbery in one of the Canterlot's bank, Two, we are not playing around here!" Tempest said. She heared something near by. It was the alarm in the Canterlot bank. She ran and ran, and Neighsay was following her. She pounced up towards the robber and tries to stop him. She removed her scarf, and wring it in the robber's neck, and one of her back hooves was holding the back hooves of the robber. Chancellor Neighsay watched the whole thing, and was surprised in her high level fighting skills. She hoofcuffed the robber and whistled very loud as a signal to the other guards. The guards did hear her and followed the sound. One of the guards took the robber off to the castle, while Tempest was standing tired. Chancellor Neighsay came in. "Did I just watched the whole thing?" Chancellor Neighsay was in shock. "Yes you did wa-ouch!" Tempest held her left shoulder since it was in pain. Chancellor Neighsay saw this and held her whole left hoof and massaged carefully her left shoulder. "Is this okay?" Neighsay said while he massage her shoulder. She then gave a nod. "I think I have wrestled too much." Tempest chuckled. "So, you are a guard?" Neighsay asked. "Not just any guard, I'm in training to be a Captain." Tempest said. She had an idea in her mind. "Let's be friends" Tempest said. "What?" Neighsay asked. "Hoof bump if you wanna be my friend." She said. It took a long time for the stallion to think, have a common bond, or continue the fight. He made the decision and hoof bumped her. They both smiled and walked to the castle. "So, I did not mean to be furious about what happened moments ago, but it all worked out." Neighsay said. "Oh really?" Tempest said, getting her scarf and wring it into his neck. The stallion gulped nervously and held her scarf. "Nah!, Just kiddin'" She said as she removed the scarf, which made him pet roughly in her head. They were already good friends now, or are they?
CoffeeAuthor's Note NOTE: All happened before Space Between Coffee Chancellor Neighsay was walking alone in the streets of Canterlot, well, still he had a sad, negative face after what he did to the students, and the school.
Now they have the friendship they need
The Common Bonds #1: The Grand Galloping GalaAuthor's Note This gala happened before At The Gala.
-Decokelow
The Common Bonds #3: New Year (New Year, New Someone Special)After Hearths' Warming, six days later, I wanted to celebrate New Year with Neighsay at his room.
The break Neighsay mentioned was the one that happened in Space Between

"What did you say!?" "Cool down, Chancey, I have seen it before." Tempest tries to chill the panicked Neighsay.

"I love you, Neighsay." "And I love you, my sweet gumamela."
A Great ReunionChanges have happened since Neighsay and Tempest started dating.
"I love you, Tempest Shadow " "And I love you, Ambassador Neighsay"
Little CrackerMonths passed, and Tempest and Neighsay lived a very nice life together, and even had something that you might not be expecting. "And I love you...Chancey." --
End of ChapterWell, my fellow dudes, I'm sorry to say to the lovers of this story that this story has come to an end after 13 922 words and 15 chapters. I hope you enjoyed the story and the ship as much as I do! October 16 2021 - February 22 2022 The Commander and the Chancellor
Mysterious...The next day, Chancellor Neighsay was at his room getting dressed.
