The Commander and the Chancellor
Little Cracker
Previous ChapterNext ChapterMonths passed, and Tempest and Neighsay lived a very nice life together, and even had something that you might not be expecting.
When Neighsay came home from a half-day work, he greeted Tempest...and somepony else.
"Hello, honey." Neighsay kissed in her forehead. "How is our little cracker doing?" He asked.
"She's there, freshly powdered in diaper." Tempest said as she points towards a hump in their bed, in which inside was a filly named "Nightingale".
Nightingale was Tempest and Neighsay's daughter months after their wedding. Tempest told she got pregnant unexpectedly, but Neighsay promised to be a great father. Nightingale had a dark grayish magenta coat, very dark pink, puffy hair with with dark moderate pink streaks. She even got her eyes from both of her parents. She inherited most of her ambitious attitude from her mother and mostly high curiosity like her father. They go to works less and are excused so they can have more time with their child.
That day, they heard a knock in the door. Since it was mentioned that Neighsay is a bit curious, he opened the door slowly and peeked out and saw a stallion and a mare.
"May I help you?" Neighsay asked them.
"We just wanted to see Fizzlepop Berrytwist." They both said in union. Tempest heard it and thought it was familiar. She peeked too with Neighsay and saw the ponies that almost made her in tears.
"Mom? Dad?" Tempest said.
"Fizzy!" Her father rushed in to her room and Nightingale got scared and hid behind the bed. Neighsay saw this and went to comfort her.
"Dad? Is it really you!?" Tempest said in excitement.
"Of course he is! You have grown so much, Fizzle! We were actually staying in Fillypines and we forgot to tell you we were there." Her mom said.
"And why we need to tell her we were in the Fillypines?" Tempest's father said.
"Of course, we didn't forget that Fillypines was her favorite country that she wanted to go in." her mother said.
"Aren't you Cinnamon Roll and Peppermint?" Neighsay asked Tempest's parents.
"Oh, Neighsay, you haven't forgotten us, and we didn't forget about you! We have a couple of friends coming with us. You might be shocked if you see them now." Cinnamon Roll said.
"Friends? Why don't you let them come in." Tempest said to her mother. Nightingale continued to hide behind the bed with her father guarding her.
"Come in, come in, folks!" Peppermint said as he dragged two stallions, and twin foals inside. Neighsay took a look at them and suddenly felt shocked. One stallion happened to look at him and he spoke:
"Brother?" the stallion said.
"Wait! Fine Feathers!?" Tempest shrieked in shock.
"Fizzlepop! We met again! Looks like your living with my bro, huh?" Fine Feathers said.
"Brother?" Neighsay spoke.
"Now here comes my bro!" Fine Feathers approach to him quickly and pet his mane.
"Feathers, remember, hugs, not hair!" Neighsay whispered.
"Here is your adoptive niece and nephew. Your niece's name is Precious and your nephew's is Treasure. Hey, little fluffs, that's your Uncle Neigh." Fine Feathers said.
"Oocle Neigh!" They both said in union, hoping into their uncle's back, trying to say his name. Precious and Treasure were in Nightingale's age. They were adopted when they were only a month old. Treasure had a dark blue complexion and moderate teal eyes, and his hair was aqua and soft yellow in color. Precious had dark purple flesh, and had light pink eyes. Her hair was moderate pink in color and had the same blue streaks as her twin brother.
Neighsay looked at the other stallion, and he felt his heart skipped a beat. It was a lawyer. Not just a lawyer, but also his father.
"Son?" he spoken.
"Father?" Neighsay said.
"Son..." he said. "... You have grown!" the sheriff said as he hugged his son very tightly, in which Neighsay can't breathe.
"Dad! Not in front of them!" Neighsay said, which made Tempest chuckle sweetly. They paused after the twins chuckled with a foal.
"Fizzy, who is that foal?" Fine Feathers asked.
"Just like how your brother is the uncle to your foals, you are the uncle of this filly. Her name's Nightingale." Tempest said. Neighsay's father went speechless and Tempest's parents gasped in shock.
"You and Neighsay are married!? My gosh!" Fine Feathers gasped.
Tempest rolled her eyes, and Neighsay just chuckled.
The family got used to Nightingale. They had a talk for as long as almost the whole day. The couple talked about how did they met and how they ended up tying their knot and having a family of their own. Neighsay's father is the one who is the most curious during the talk, so he had to discuss about his daughter-in-law to his son, and he did get used to his son's own beloved wife. When the relatives went home, Tempest and Neighsay spent their nights all alone with their daughter.
When they were all about to sleep, Neighsay was doing his remaining documents while Tempest cradles Nightingale to sleep. Minutes later after Neighsay was done, he went to check on his wife and daughter.
"Tired after a play with her cousins huh?" Neighsay nuzzled his foal's tummy which caused Nightingale to giggle.
"Tired after a pile of sheets, huh?" Tempest nuzzles her muzzle to his. Nightingale slowly yawned and gently closed her eyes. Looking at this, the couple smiled at their child and Grubber went to her crib with her. Nightingale is always active when Grubber is around. The couple looked down at their child hugging close to the hedgehog really tight.
"We always do that most often when we sleep." Tempest complimented.
"Well, at least she can breathe while hugging. I don't know if we can relate." Neighsay said as Tempest giggled.
"Glad I married you, Neighsay..." Tempest said.
"I love you, Fizzy." Neighsay says as he kisses her muzzle.
"And I love you...Chancey."
