In a small secluded village in the middle of Red Thorn Forest located between Manehattan and Fillydelphia there was a family of Earth Ponies. As only Earth Ponies lived in this village it was no surprise, but this family was expecting a new foal.
This village wasn’t like others and as it lies in the middle of an unexplored forest, the ponies that occupy this small village are only Earth Ponies. They have never seen or heard of the Pegasi OR Unicorns and they don’t even know about the princesses. But soon this small, unknown village will know a little more about the types of pony.
In the clinic of Red Thorn Village a middle aged Earth Pony and her husband are on there was to the birthing area in the hospital. Once there the doctors and nurses tend to the pregnant pony as her husband stayed close to her, comforting her as she gets ready do give birth to her first foal. Over the years the two had tried but failed, all until now that is and as the two wait in the birthing clinic the doctor soon comes back after seeing the charts and tells the two that it is time. But you could easily know it was time from all the noise his wife was making. The doctor takes the two in a birthing room and then he stands in front of the mare laying back on the medical bed with her hind legs spread. she shouts like crazy as the doctor tells her to push, and she continues to shout and scream even when her husband lightly strokes her mane and tells her that it will be ok and that she is doing great.
As the doctor helps the new born out of her his eyes widen at something that he has never seen on a foal before. He gets the nearest nurse to cut the cord “congratulations Mr and Miss Longtail, its a lovely…healthy little colt. what is his name going to be so I can sign the papers” the couple look at each other then miss Longtail speaks in a soft voice “Sprinkles…Sprinkles Longtail. yes, that is his name”. She looks to Mr Longtail and he nods in approval as miss Longtail says the foal’s new name “I love it. our little Sprinkles” he sheds a tear through his happiness. the doctor then places the newly born foal in the baby box after wrapping the baby colt in a blanket. Mr and Miss Longtail looked at their new baby and saw that there was two bulges on the sides of the new born under the blanket. Mr and Miss Longtail go to have a closer look at the unusual bulges. Mr Longtail goes and inspects them and as he pulls back the blanket from the baby his eyes soon widen in disbelief as he sees that the small gray furred pony has a set of wings that are quite big for a pony of his size. but these wings are not like normal wings, there was two big wings, andbout the size as he was, maybe bigger, then there was two smaller wings under his main ones. Mr Longtail freaks out at the sight and trots back into the medical bed, Miss Longtail asks him what the matter is and as he tell her that their baby Sprinkles has a set of wings she too freaks a little then laughs in disbelief “hahaha, good one. you almost got me th-” she gets cut off as Mr Longtail talks “n..no, really.. our son..h..he has wings..” Miss Longtail soon stops laughing when he picks Sprinkles up out of the bed then shows him to his partner. As she lays eyes on her new son’s deformed body her jaw drops as the foal opens up his wing to stretch, showing his impressive wingspan. Miss Longtail lets out a small scream as her voice is starting to go from the screaming she did in the birthing process. The doctor comes back in and as he sees the new born snugging his wings he looks away and speaks “I’m sorry Mr and Miss Longtail.. I didn’t want to say anything, but an Earth Pony born with wings? this was nether happened before. I mean… this is the first time I have even heard of a winged Earth Pony let alone see one….” the look on Mr and Miss Longtail’s faces clearly say “kill it” but the two aren’t the type to kill a new born and they soon except that he is not “normal” and after another week in the clinic Mr, miss and Sprinkles Longtail soon go home. Once there they look their corrupted foal over and find that the only thing wrong with their oranged maned, gray furred, pink eyed son was that he had wings on both sides of his body, each one being as big as he was. maybe a little bigger. They decide to place him in his new cote then call it a night. They leave the new born alone as they are not sure that they like, or dis-like him. Sprinkles lays there in his cote, shivering a little as his parents forgot to cover him. He wraps himself up in his wings then slowly goes to sleep after crying a little.
