Cadence was laying on some cushions reading a book when her darling lover walked into their bedroom, with a big smile on his face. "Hello Ladies." Shining armor said with a smirk, Cadence tilted her head in confusion at the phrasing of her husband's words "Honey, what do you mean by ladies, It's just me in here." Cadence said, completley clueless as to what her husband meant. "Well, isn't it obvious?" Shining said, gesturing to Cadence's round, solid tummy, Cadence followed his que and soon gave a look of realization. "Ooooooh, I see, nice move hun." Cadence giggled, nuzzling her husband. "Well, it wouldn't make sense if you weren't here, would it?" Shining cooed, nuzzling Cadence's tummy, Cadence giggled as his fur tickled her stomach, simultaneously hating and loving the sensation spreading throughout her body. "I can't wait for you to get here sweetie, you're gonna be the greatest thing that's ever happened to both of us!" Shining said with a smile, Cadence shared the same emotions as she was the one that was creating this bundle of joy and would be the one bringing it into the world (which she was not looking forward to). "Well, we could always do it again if your up for it." Cadence whispered with sexy intentions, Shining armor put on a strained smile and waved his hooves in front of him, shaking his head. "Oh no, I'm still recovering from that last night." He said, recalling the very night that they got the idea to start this whole thing in the first place. Cadence giggled at her joke, but the baby didn't think so, kicking at Cadence's stomach. "Ow! Sorry honey, I didn't mean it." Cadence said, rubbing her stomach to calm the baby. "Haha, that's my girl!" Shining said confidently, causing Cadence to pout in defeat "Hey, this isn't fair, I'm getting teamed up on." Cadence grumbled, Shining Armor snuggled up next to her and began to stroke her mane, making her purr in the process. "Oh don't be so grumpy baby, you know that whenever there's a teaming involved, it'll be in bed *Growl*." Shining said, playfully growling as he booped Cadence with his own muzzle, Cadence's frown immediately turned into a sultry smile as she fluttered her eyelids in response. "Well, looks like somepony is getting a little frisky today." Cadence whispered, biting her lip as she anticipated what her lover was going to do. But before they could get into the nitty gritty, the baby made an objection by starting to push and roll in Cadence's womb, making her laugh in the process. "Hahahaha, hey, what are you doing in there?" Cadence giggled "I think she doesn't like us trying to talk sexy to each other, understandable." Shining chuckled, the baby calmed down and rested inside Cadence's stomach, presumably falling asleep. "Awww, she tired herself out. I think all the rolling and kicking in there did a number on her." Cadence said, looking down at her abdomen with a smile, Shining did much the same as he rubbed Cadence's stomach to comfort her, eliciting a contented moan from the pink alicorn. "Mmmmhh, that feels good." "It does doesn't it? Well, it's getting late, how about we jump in bed and get comfy?" Shining said, grabbing his wife's hoof and helping her stand up. Cadence gave a nod, managed to stand up and start walking towards the bed, but with the upcoming addition to the family hanging between her legs, she had a little bit of a waddle to her stride, which gave Shining Armor something to chuckle at during the day. He proceeded to slip under the covers of the crystal framed bed and pat the open spot next to him for his wife to take up. Cadence was still getting used to the extra weight of her daughter so getting into bed was a workout in itself, she started to step up into bed and started puffing as her legs were already crying out for help. "Need some help, honey?" Shining asked "Yes sweetie, our daughter may not be here yet, but she is a big girl." Cadence replied, Shining Armor chuckled, holding a hoof out and pulling to help his wife make it into bed with him. Once Cadence got into bed and relaxed, the bed creaked and the memory foam sank beneath her weight, her stomach sloshing as her movements came to an abrupt stop. Shining armor loved how big his wife looked, it made her look even more powerful and firm than before, even though she was as soft and jiggly as a water balloon. "Ah, much better, it feels good to get comfortable and let myself rest, especially with this one hanging below me." Cadence said, poking at her stomach, making it jiggle at the touch, Shining armor blushed bright pink at the sight and turned away as to not catch his lover's eye. Unfortunately, his lover was the Princess of love itself, and could catch onto little changes in attitude as soon as they happen. Cadence perked up and gave a sultry smile towards her husband, lowering her eyes as she decided to get a little cheeky with him. "Oh, so you like this big ol' thing, why don't you play with it a little?" She whispered, just loud enough for Shining armor to hear, he turned towards his wife and smiled, reaching his hooves out to touch her stomach. He squished, poked and tickled it as he went, eliciting moans, giggles, and sighs from Cadence. He then put his ear up to her tummy and listened in on it, he could hear lots of sounds from the low gurgles and growls from Cadence's stomach, to her slow breathing, but the one most important thing that he listened to was his daughter's heartbeat, It was slow and faint amongst the other sounds, but it was still noticeable. "I can hear her, she's sleeping in there." Shining whispered, Cadence smiled at how her daughter was sleeping right next to her father and loved it as much as life itself. Those thoughts were quickly dispersed when a kick from the baby snapped her out of thought, Cadence was surprised by the sudden kick, but even more surprised was Shining Armor, as he took the hit from her daughter. "Oof, what was that for honey?" Shining said as he rubbed his cheek from where he took the impact as he smirked "Hm, I think the baby wants to be left alone, All that playing around with my tummy must have woken her up and made her angry." Cadence giggled, Shining Armor's smile grew wider as he moved back into the position he was in before, his eyes still on Cadence's belly. "Ok sweetie, daddy will let you sleep, as long as you let me and mommy do the same." Shining chuckled, letting silence overcome the room before he saw two little hooves roll over the surface of Cadence's barrel. "I think that means she will." Cadence said "Well, let's get to it, shall we?" Shining replied, he wrapped his hooves around Cadence and pulled her into an embrace that she gladly returned, letting their bodies relax as the dosed off to sleep, both thinking that this pregnancy would be no problem. But little did they know, they would be in for a wild ride. Chapter 3: Some Attention RequiredAfter a long talk with his wife about what happened with her crazy craving frenzy, Shining armor was back on track with his duties as captain of the royal guard and taking care of his wife. But what he didn't realize was that soon enough, one of those jobs would take priority over the other. The next day after the royal couple had their talk, Shining and Cadence were both still asleep in the early hours of the morning. Shining Armor was always first to be out and about as he being the captain of the royal guard, meant he always had to be up and ready to not be late to start training, and today was no exception. Today was the final day of basic training for the recruits and today would be the day that they move on to being official royal guards. Shining Armors' eyes slowly opened as he woke up to start the day, put on his armor, and get the recruits ready for their test. "Hm, the recruits will be awake soon, better get a move on." Shining said as he went to get out of bed, only to find that he couldn't move. He wore a confused face as he looked around to find the source of his confinement, needing to get ready for the day. He had no idea what was holding him until he looked behind him and saw his wife had wrapped her hooves around him while they were sleeping, he smiled at that and thought "Aww she looks so peaceful, I better let her sleep.", moving ever so carefully as to not wake his wife. He was making good progress until his wife decided otherwise and tightened her grip, stoping Shining Armor dead in his tracks. He tried moving again... Nothing. Another attempt... Still nothing. Once more for good measure and the next thing he knew, he was tucked in tight and face to face with a drowsy alicorn. "Honey, why do you have to be up so early? You still have time to stay with me and your daughter.~" Cadence said in a whiny voice as she gestures to her quite rotund midsection, trying to get her husband to stay in bed. Shining Armor understood that Cadence hated how she was always left alone in the mornings and never got any real snuggle time with her husband, but he has a job to do as captain of the royal guard and that is a job that can't be put on hold. He let out a sigh as he tried to explain to Cadence what he had to do today. "I know we don't get much time together in the morning sweetie but I have to be down in the barracks for the recruits final test." He told his wife as he began to move again, being stopped by Cadence and pulled in closer until there muzzles we're almost touching. "But I want you to stay with me and the baby, we need you." She complained as she squirmed in place, pouting that she wasn't getting her way. Shining Armor didn't like having to choose between his pregnant wife and work, it always made him feel sour when he had to choose one or the other, but he had a job to get to so he played the sweetness card to persuade Cadence into letting him go. "Cadence, I'm gonna be honest with you.. I hate having to choose between you and my job, but if I'm not down there to do that, I'll have to answer for it myself. So please, can you understand that I have a job to get to and let me go?" He answered in the sweetest voice he could muster, looking into his wife's eyes. Cadence wanted to keep him here with her, but she understands that he takes his job seriously. So with a contented sigh and a somber sounding "okay~", she let Shining Armor go to let him go start his day while she rested a while longer. A few minutes later... Shining Armor was walking around his and Cadence's personal quarters after finishing the first half of the recruit's final test, when he heard crying coming from his bedroom. Curious, he pulled up an ear to listen in on what was going on. "Why can't we just be together in the morning?!?! He was always there for me, but now since I got pregnant, he's not even trying to stay with me and love me! Maybe it's because I'm pregnant. He doesn't love me because I'm bigger than I used to be!~" Hearing that coming from his wife made Shining Armor's eyes go wide and his blood run cold as ice. He knew what was happening because he saw his mom go through it when she was pregnant with Twily... Her hormones were starting to flare up. His mind went into overdrive as he hastily opened the door to see his wife laying on dozens of pillows with used tissues littered everywhere and tears in her eyes. "C-Cadence, I'm here honey, w-whats wrong?!?" He asked his wife as he readied himself. Cadence immediately looked agitated and went on a tirade about how Shining Armor wasn't there for her, listing every reason she could that Shining Armor should feel bad. Shining Armor knew that he had this coming from the get go, but it came at the cost of his ears as he had NO IDEA that Cadence could use the RCV (Royal Canterlot Voice) with such ease. Once the tirade was over, his ears were left ringing for a bit, rendering his hearing useless, until he rubbed his ears to stop the ringing just enough to get to hear himself speak. "C-Cadence, I understand that you feel like I don't love you, but I do! I wouldn't have anything else on my mind besides you all day. And besides, she wouldn't be here if I didn't love you." Shining said, pointing directly at Cadence's tummy. Cadence followed his cue and looked down, realizing that he was right about their daughter, she wouldn't be here if he didn't love her. He continued to speak. "And I can't believe you would think that I don't love you because you aren't as slim as you used to be! As a matter of fact, I love you more now that you're bigger!" Now that was something that Cadence did not expect Shining Armor to say. She didn't even realize that he actually liked her being this big, but to be completely honest, he had been much more affectionate with her over the time she ever since she got her baby bump and as she got bigger. This made her calm down and listen to her husband. "Really?" "Yes, of course." Shining said as he sat next to Cadence in her pillow pile. "This big round tummy of your's is the main reason I love our time together, and not just because of who's on the inside~" He said in a sultry voice as he took the tip of his hoof and glided it down her side. Cadence's wings shuttered as the sensation drove her nerves to near exploding with pleasure. She bit her lip as she looked at her husband, her mind racing with what things he might do. "So, does this mean you're going to stay with us?" Cadence said softly, rubbing her belly as her daughter made her presence known with a rub to the inside of her mother's barrel. Shining only nodded as he put a hoof on Cadence's belly. "Hm, don't worry you two, I'm not going anywhere." Suddenly, a guard from the barracks walked in and took a bow before speaking. "Sorry to interrupt you your highnesses, but the guards in the barracks are waiting for their test to resume." The guard said to the couple. Shining and Cadence looked at each other before Shining Armor cracked a small smile before turning to the guard and speaking. "Have my second in command take over, she has the details for the test. Because right now, I'm going to have some quality family time." He said, giving the guard a wink so he would get the message. The guard's eyes widened quickly as he caught on and gave a "yes your highness" before closing the door behind him as he left. Now that they were alone, the royal family got comfy as the got ready to have their quality family time. And as Shining and Cadence locked eyes, Shining Armor spoke the sacred words to get things started. "Now, where were we?" Author's Note Thank you all for all the support on this story! As a newbie to the whole lurve month thing, this is an absolutely amazing turnout for how much traction this story has gotten so far! I was so excited to see the positive feedback to it that I wanted to do an audio recording of me reading it, but alas, I have not the resources to do so. Chapter 2: The Belly Of The BeastThe next morning, Cadence yawned and stretched out her limbs to ready herself for another day of being pregnant. She hadn't yet gone through the pain of morning sickness (Thank goodness), but there are still many problems she has to deal with, such as, sluggishness from the extra weight, feeling more tired in the morning, and most Importantly, Feeling more hungry every single day. She didn't like eating as much as she was, but with her cravings at an all time high, she couldn't help it. She got out of bed to get ready for the day and looked around the room, she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary until she looked back at the bed, something was missing, more likely somepony. Shining armor wasn't there, he would usually sleep in any chance he got, but strangely today, he was up and gone before Cadence knew it. She decided to ignore it as he probably went to go handle his own business like training the new recruits of the castle guard, she proceeded to take a shower, brush her mane, and brushed her teeth. "There, all done." She said with a huff, she felt confident in her self that she was going to make this day worth it and maybe do some walking around the Crystal Empire, but before she could think about what she would do, her stomach growled and the baby started to kick. "I know honey, mommy's hungry too. let's get something to eat, shall we?" Cadence asked, the response that she got may have been nonverbal, but it was all the answer she needed to get the picture. She walked down the hallway towards the dining hall and stopped at the double doors that led inside, her stomach giving another loud growl in another demand for food. "Wow, I must be really hungry if my tummy is THIS loud, I hope there's something good waiting for me to munch on in here." She thought, as she opened the doors with her magic, she took a few steps into the dining hall and stopped in shock when she saw the ginormous stack of pancakes in the middle of the table. She was so shocked that she didn't see her husband standing right next to her. "It seems you're liking what you're seeing." Shining Armor said with a chuckle, Cadence turned to him with a wide smile as she gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I really do, I think I can eat it all, because mama's hungry." Cadence said with a smile "Easy there mama bear, If you're planning on eating that much, then the baby better get ready for a cramped space for a while." Shining said with a chuckle, Cadence gave a shove as her husband teased her. "Oh hush you, now let's eat, I feel like if I stand here looking at them for any longer, I'll have left a puddle of drool behind." Cadence giggled as she walked over to the table and sat down to begin eating, Cadence sat down first and started piling the pancakes onto her plate, starting out with six and munching down on all of them. Shining armor was surprised at how many pancakes Cadence was eating at a time, she usually would only be able to eat three at a time, getting full after four stacks, but now, she was eating six at a time! "Wow Cadence, I've never seen you gobble down his many pancakes. If I knew this, I would have had the chef's make more." Shining said surprised "Well, I jusht feel like I have to. It may be weird for me to be doing thish, but it jusht tashtes sho good." Cadence said with stuffed cheeks, she just couldn't help herself. If she wasn't pregnant she would have given some critiques about the pancakes, but with her cravings slowly but surely ramping up, the pancakes were perfect in every way to her from the butter to the syrup, she was in heaven. A few minutes later, the pile of pancakes was gone, eaten up by the pair (mostly by Cadence) as they enjoyed each others company. Cadence sat back in her chair, rubbing her stomach as she had stuffed herself full of pancakes. "Oh wow, I have never stuffed so much in my mouth in my life, *urp* Oh, excuse me." Cadence said with a blush as she covered her mouth with a hoof, Shining smiled as he saw how his wife enjoyed herself. "Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it, I wanted to make sure that this morning was perfect for you." He said cheerfully, Cadence returned the smile and got up from her seat, feeling more weighed down than ever. "Thank you sweetie, now I'm off to handle my royal duties for the day, Rest and relax." She said with a relieved huff, Cadence was glad that she was on maternity leave from her royal duties as she would never be able to do so with her daughter with her all the time, her legs would be so tired that she would probably collapse into a pregnant pink pile of blubber. "Don't worry honey, I'll make sure nothing, but nothing keeps you from fulfilling your "duties"." Shining said with a chuckle, Cadence rolled her eyes and waved a dismissive hoof in his direction. "Ok Captain Of The Guard, I will be expecting it." Cadence said with a smile before taking her leave, Shining Armor hated to see her leave but loved to watch her go. He caught a glimpse of her flanks, which were a lot bigger than before, and felt a tingling sensation between his legs. He managed to hide it before Cadence could catch a glimpse and gave a sigh of relief as she disappeared out of sight. Cadence was sitting on some cushions in her bedroom reading a book when she got that hungry feeling again, she had just eaten a few minutes ago, but it felt like she hadn't eaten anything at all. Her stomach gurgled as her hunger grew and her thoughts started to shift to grabbing something to eat. Cookies, milk, cake, ice cream, and chocolate were all on her mind as she mindlessly got up and walked to the kitchen. "Wow, I've really been hungry for these past few days, but I can't deny myself a little snack." Cadence said to herself, pondering on the "little snack" that she wanted, but what she wasn't thinking about, was that her cravings were going into overdrive. She soon made her way to the kitchen and waked inside, eyes locked on the fridge. She opened it with her magic and took a peek inside, she took out a bar of chocolate, an ice cream bucket, two slices of cake, an ice pop, and a two liter bottle of cola, she wasn't going for a small snack like she told herself, she was grabbing an entire buffet! She kicked the fridge door closed and walked back to her room with her entire lot of food in her magical grasp, feeling happy about herself all the while. She soon sat back down and placed all the items she had in front of her, she could feel all the sweet goodness of all the food already, and her stomach rumbled so violently, her entire body got shaken up. "Ok ok, chill down there, I'm gonna get to it soon!" Cadence said, patting her belly, she first started with the chocolate bar as chocolate was her favorite. she took of the wrapper and began munching away at it, she didn't realize that she took only three bites and the chocolate was gone, next, was the cake, two vanilla cake slices with vanilla frosting and strawberry filling. She took one in her magic and chomped down on the soft treat and moaned in satisfaction. "Mmmmmm, so good" Cadence hummed as her taste buds were treated to a wonderful sensation of sweetness, her stomach grumbled again as the food settled within, she gave it a rub and continued to eat. A few minutes later, Cadence had just finished the ice pop and was laying on her back, hankering for something to wash it all down, luckily, she had a two liter cola with her. She twisted of the cap and began chugging the entire thing, she didn't care if she was making the bottle's contents disappear in seconds, she just wanted a drink. She finished off the cola and set the bottle down next to her and sighing in satisfaction of her feast. "Ahhh, much better." She said in a relaxed tone, she then smelt something that was strange, a smell that was all too familiar. She took a hoof to her mouth, breathed into it and smelt it, her nose recoiled at the smell of her own breath and gave Cadence a hard time focusing. "Ugh, that smells worse than shiny after a full exercise, better grab a mint." Cadence said to herself as she grabbed a pack of mints off of her nightstand and popped one in her mouth, she took another whiff and was satisfied with the problem being solved, but another being created. she felt a slight bloating in her gut that made her feel strange, almost lighter, she saw her stomach slightly grow in size and heard a squelch from her belly that was rather small so she put it off as nothing. But little did she know, that was just a warning of the chaos that would ensue next. Her belly made some small bubbling noises which caught the alicorn's attention, then it descended into full rumbles that shook her body all over, her body shook violently, her enlarged belly jiggling as the mints reacted with the cola that she just drank. She tried to suppress the chaos by flipping over on to her belly, but her gut was erupting in a full eruption. Her stomach rumbled like a volcano ready to erupt, her belly shaking more and more with each passing second as it was getting ready to explode into who knows what catastrophe. Suddenly, the rumbling stopped, her belly no longer shaking and jiggling as it returned to it's normal, pregnant looking state. Cadence wiped the sweat from her brow as the titanic eruption was over, but she still felt weird on the inside, then her throat bulged and her cheeks puffed up. She knew exactly what was going to happen and the only words she could speak were... "Uh Oh." Before releasing a wild, unrelenting, monstrous belch that would put the roar of an ursa major to shame. *HUROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUURRRRRP* The blast of air that came out of the princess' maw shook the entire castle, The guards out in the hallway felt the ground beneath them shake and the walls vibrate. Once the blast had dissipated and the castle was no longer shaking, Cadence quickly put a hoof over her muzzle as she collected her thoughts, she was certain that whatever just came out of her would make the Royal Canterlot Voice used by her aunts sound like a whisper, and she was even more certain that her husband heard it. But even with all of these thoughts running around in her head, with a blush on her face, she said the only two words that seemed right in that exact situation... "Excuse me."

Cadence said, poking at her stomach, making it jiggle at the touch, Shining armor blushed bright pink at the sight and turned away as to not catch his lover's eye. Unfortunately, his lover was the Princess of love itself, and could catch onto little changes in attitude as soon as they happen. Cadence perked up and gave a sultry smile towards her husband, lowering her eyes as she decided to get a little cheeky with him. "Oh, so you like this big ol' thing, why don't you play with it a little?" She whispered, just loud enough for Shining armor to hear, he turned towards his wife and smiled, reaching his hooves out to touch her stomach. He squished, poked and tickled it as he went, eliciting moans, giggles, and sighs from Cadence. He then put his ear up to her tummy and listened in on it, he could hear lots of sounds from the low gurgles and growls from Cadence's stomach, to her slow breathing, but the one most important thing that he listened to was his daughter's heartbeat, It was slow and faint amongst the other sounds, but it was still noticeable. "I can hear her, she's sleeping in there." Shining whispered, Cadence smiled at how her daughter was sleeping right next to her father and loved it as much as life itself. Those thoughts were quickly dispersed when a kick from the baby snapped her out of thought, Cadence was surprised by the sudden kick, but even more surprised was Shining Armor, as he took the hit from her daughter. "Oof, what was that for honey?" Shining said as he rubbed his cheek from where he took the impact as he smirked "Hm, I think the baby wants to be left alone, All that playing around with my tummy must have woken her up and made her angry." Cadence giggled, Shining Armor's smile grew wider as he moved back into the position he was in before, his eyes still on Cadence's belly. "Ok sweetie, daddy will let you sleep, as long as you let me and mommy do the same." Shining chuckled, letting silence overcome the room before he saw two little hooves roll over the surface of Cadence's barrel. "I think that means she will." Cadence said "Well, let's get to it, shall we?" Shining replied, he wrapped his hooves around Cadence and pulled her into an embrace that she gladly returned, letting their bodies relax as the dosed off to sleep, both thinking that this pregnancy would be no problem. But little did they know, they would be in for a wild ride.
Chapter 3: Some Attention RequiredAfter a long talk with his wife about what happened with her crazy craving frenzy, Shining armor was back on track with his duties as captain of the royal guard and taking care of his wife. But what he didn't realize was that soon enough, one of those jobs would take priority over the other. The next day after the royal couple had their talk, Shining and Cadence were both still asleep in the early hours of the morning. Shining Armor was always first to be out and about as he being the captain of the royal guard, meant he always had to be up and ready to not be late to start training, and today was no exception. Today was the final day of basic training for the recruits and today would be the day that they move on to being official royal guards. Shining Armors' eyes slowly opened as he woke up to start the day, put on his armor, and get the recruits ready for their test. "Hm, the recruits will be awake soon, better get a move on." Shining said as he went to get out of bed, only to find that he couldn't move. He wore a confused face as he looked around to find the source of his confinement, needing to get ready for the day. He had no idea what was holding him until he looked behind him and saw his wife had wrapped her hooves around him while they were sleeping, he smiled at that and thought "Aww she looks so peaceful, I better let her sleep.", moving ever so carefully as to not wake his wife. He was making good progress until his wife decided otherwise and tightened her grip, stoping Shining Armor dead in his tracks. He tried moving again... Nothing. Another attempt... Still nothing. Once more for good measure and the next thing he knew, he was tucked in tight and face to face with a drowsy alicorn. "Honey, why do you have to be up so early? You still have time to stay with me and your daughter.~" Cadence said in a whiny voice as she gestures to her quite rotund midsection, trying to get her husband to stay in bed. Shining Armor understood that Cadence hated how she was always left alone in the mornings and never got any real snuggle time with her husband, but he has a job to do as captain of the royal guard and that is a job that can't be put on hold. He let out a sigh as he tried to explain to Cadence what he had to do today. "I know we don't get much time together in the morning sweetie but I have to be down in the barracks for the recruits final test." He told his wife as he began to move again, being stopped by Cadence and pulled in closer until there muzzles we're almost touching. "But I want you to stay with me and the baby, we need you." She complained as she squirmed in place, pouting that she wasn't getting her way. Shining Armor didn't like having to choose between his pregnant wife and work, it always made him feel sour when he had to choose one or the other, but he had a job to get to so he played the sweetness card to persuade Cadence into letting him go. "Cadence, I'm gonna be honest with you.. I hate having to choose between you and my job, but if I'm not down there to do that, I'll have to answer for it myself. So please, can you understand that I have a job to get to and let me go?" He answered in the sweetest voice he could muster, looking into his wife's eyes. Cadence wanted to keep him here with her, but she understands that he takes his job seriously. So with a contented sigh and a somber sounding "okay~", she let Shining Armor go to let him go start his day while she rested a while longer. A few minutes later... Shining Armor was walking around his and Cadence's personal quarters after finishing the first half of the recruit's final test, when he heard crying coming from his bedroom. Curious, he pulled up an ear to listen in on what was going on. "Why can't we just be together in the morning?!?! He was always there for me, but now since I got pregnant, he's not even trying to stay with me and love me! Maybe it's because I'm pregnant. He doesn't love me because I'm bigger than I used to be!~" Hearing that coming from his wife made Shining Armor's eyes go wide and his blood run cold as ice. He knew what was happening because he saw his mom go through it when she was pregnant with Twily... Her hormones were starting to flare up. His mind went into overdrive as he hastily opened the door to see his wife laying on dozens of pillows with used tissues littered everywhere and tears in her eyes. "C-Cadence, I'm here honey, w-whats wrong?!?" He asked his wife as he readied himself. Cadence immediately looked agitated and went on a tirade about how Shining Armor wasn't there for her, listing every reason she could that Shining Armor should feel bad. Shining Armor knew that he had this coming from the get go, but it came at the cost of his ears as he had NO IDEA that Cadence could use the RCV (Royal Canterlot Voice) with such ease. Once the tirade was over, his ears were left ringing for a bit, rendering his hearing useless, until he rubbed his ears to stop the ringing just enough to get to hear himself speak. "C-Cadence, I understand that you feel like I don't love you, but I do! I wouldn't have anything else on my mind besides you all day. And besides, she wouldn't be here if I didn't love you." Shining said, pointing directly at Cadence's tummy. Cadence followed his cue and looked down, realizing that he was right about their daughter, she wouldn't be here if he didn't love her. He continued to speak. "And I can't believe you would think that I don't love you because you aren't as slim as you used to be! As a matter of fact, I love you more now that you're bigger!" Now that was something that Cadence did not expect Shining Armor to say. She didn't even realize that he actually liked her being this big, but to be completely honest, he had been much more affectionate with her over the time she ever since she got her baby bump and as she got bigger. This made her calm down and listen to her husband. "Really?" "Yes, of course." Shining said as he sat next to Cadence in her pillow pile. "This big round tummy of your's is the main reason I love our time together, and not just because of who's on the inside~" He said in a sultry voice as he took the tip of his hoof and glided it down her side. Cadence's wings shuttered as the sensation drove her nerves to near exploding with pleasure. She bit her lip as she looked at her husband, her mind racing with what things he might do. "So, does this mean you're going to stay with us?" Cadence said softly, rubbing her belly as her daughter made her presence known with a rub to the inside of her mother's barrel. Shining only nodded as he put a hoof on Cadence's belly. "Hm, don't worry you two, I'm not going anywhere." Suddenly, a guard from the barracks walked in and took a bow before speaking. "Sorry to interrupt you your highnesses, but the guards in the barracks are waiting for their test to resume." The guard said to the couple. Shining and Cadence looked at each other before Shining Armor cracked a small smile before turning to the guard and speaking. "Have my second in command take over, she has the details for the test. Because right now, I'm going to have some quality family time." He said, giving the guard a wink so he would get the message. The guard's eyes widened quickly as he caught on and gave a "yes your highness" before closing the door behind him as he left. Now that they were alone, the royal family got comfy as the got ready to have their quality family time. And as Shining and Cadence locked eyes, Shining Armor spoke the sacred words to get things started. "Now, where were we?" Author's Note Thank you all for all the support on this story! As a newbie to the whole lurve month thing, this is an absolutely amazing turnout for how much traction this story has gotten so far! I was so excited to see the positive feedback to it that I wanted to do an audio recording of me reading it, but alas, I have not the resources to do so. Chapter 2: The Belly Of The BeastThe next morning, Cadence yawned and stretched out her limbs to ready herself for another day of being pregnant. She hadn't yet gone through the pain of morning sickness (Thank goodness), but there are still many problems she has to deal with, such as, sluggishness from the extra weight, feeling more tired in the morning, and most Importantly, Feeling more hungry every single day. She didn't like eating as much as she was, but with her cravings at an all time high, she couldn't help it. She got out of bed to get ready for the day and looked around the room, she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary until she looked back at the bed, something was missing, more likely somepony. Shining armor wasn't there, he would usually sleep in any chance he got, but strangely today, he was up and gone before Cadence knew it. She decided to ignore it as he probably went to go handle his own business like training the new recruits of the castle guard, she proceeded to take a shower, brush her mane, and brushed her teeth. "There, all done." She said with a huff, she felt confident in her self that she was going to make this day worth it and maybe do some walking around the Crystal Empire, but before she could think about what she would do, her stomach growled and the baby started to kick. "I know honey, mommy's hungry too. let's get something to eat, shall we?" Cadence asked, the response that she got may have been nonverbal, but it was all the answer she needed to get the picture. She walked down the hallway towards the dining hall and stopped at the double doors that led inside, her stomach giving another loud growl in another demand for food. "Wow, I must be really hungry if my tummy is THIS loud, I hope there's something good waiting for me to munch on in here." She thought, as she opened the doors with her magic, she took a few steps into the dining hall and stopped in shock when she saw the ginormous stack of pancakes in the middle of the table. She was so shocked that she didn't see her husband standing right next to her. "It seems you're liking what you're seeing." Shining Armor said with a chuckle, Cadence turned to him with a wide smile as she gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I really do, I think I can eat it all, because mama's hungry." Cadence said with a smile "Easy there mama bear, If you're planning on eating that much, then the baby better get ready for a cramped space for a while." Shining said with a chuckle, Cadence gave a shove as her husband teased her. "Oh hush you, now let's eat, I feel like if I stand here looking at them for any longer, I'll have left a puddle of drool behind." Cadence giggled as she walked over to the table and sat down to begin eating, Cadence sat down first and started piling the pancakes onto her plate, starting out with six and munching down on all of them. Shining armor was surprised at how many pancakes Cadence was eating at a time, she usually would only be able to eat three at a time, getting full after four stacks, but now, she was eating six at a time! "Wow Cadence, I've never seen you gobble down his many pancakes. If I knew this, I would have had the chef's make more." Shining said surprised "Well, I jusht feel like I have to. It may be weird for me to be doing thish, but it jusht tashtes sho good." Cadence said with stuffed cheeks, she just couldn't help herself. If she wasn't pregnant she would have given some critiques about the pancakes, but with her cravings slowly but surely ramping up, the pancakes were perfect in every way to her from the butter to the syrup, she was in heaven. A few minutes later, the pile of pancakes was gone, eaten up by the pair (mostly by Cadence) as they enjoyed each others company. Cadence sat back in her chair, rubbing her stomach as she had stuffed herself full of pancakes. "Oh wow, I have never stuffed so much in my mouth in my life, *urp* Oh, excuse me." Cadence said with a blush as she covered her mouth with a hoof, Shining smiled as he saw how his wife enjoyed herself. "Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it, I wanted to make sure that this morning was perfect for you." He said cheerfully, Cadence returned the smile and got up from her seat, feeling more weighed down than ever. "Thank you sweetie, now I'm off to handle my royal duties for the day, Rest and relax." She said with a relieved huff, Cadence was glad that she was on maternity leave from her royal duties as she would never be able to do so with her daughter with her all the time, her legs would be so tired that she would probably collapse into a pregnant pink pile of blubber. "Don't worry honey, I'll make sure nothing, but nothing keeps you from fulfilling your "duties"." Shining said with a chuckle, Cadence rolled her eyes and waved a dismissive hoof in his direction. "Ok Captain Of The Guard, I will be expecting it." Cadence said with a smile before taking her leave, Shining Armor hated to see her leave but loved to watch her go. He caught a glimpse of her flanks, which were a lot bigger than before, and felt a tingling sensation between his legs. He managed to hide it before Cadence could catch a glimpse and gave a sigh of relief as she disappeared out of sight. Cadence was sitting on some cushions in her bedroom reading a book when she got that hungry feeling again, she had just eaten a few minutes ago, but it felt like she hadn't eaten anything at all. Her stomach gurgled as her hunger grew and her thoughts started to shift to grabbing something to eat. Cookies, milk, cake, ice cream, and chocolate were all on her mind as she mindlessly got up and walked to the kitchen. "Wow, I've really been hungry for these past few days, but I can't deny myself a little snack." Cadence said to herself, pondering on the "little snack" that she wanted, but what she wasn't thinking about, was that her cravings were going into overdrive. She soon made her way to the kitchen and waked inside, eyes locked on the fridge. She opened it with her magic and took a peek inside, she took out a bar of chocolate, an ice cream bucket, two slices of cake, an ice pop, and a two liter bottle of cola, she wasn't going for a small snack like she told herself, she was grabbing an entire buffet! She kicked the fridge door closed and walked back to her room with her entire lot of food in her magical grasp, feeling happy about herself all the while. She soon sat back down and placed all the items she had in front of her, she could feel all the sweet goodness of all the food already, and her stomach rumbled so violently, her entire body got shaken up. "Ok ok, chill down there, I'm gonna get to it soon!" Cadence said, patting her belly, she first started with the chocolate bar as chocolate was her favorite. she took of the wrapper and began munching away at it, she didn't realize that she took only three bites and the chocolate was gone, next, was the cake, two vanilla cake slices with vanilla frosting and strawberry filling. She took one in her magic and chomped down on the soft treat and moaned in satisfaction. "Mmmmmm, so good" Cadence hummed as her taste buds were treated to a wonderful sensation of sweetness, her stomach grumbled again as the food settled within, she gave it a rub and continued to eat. A few minutes later, Cadence had just finished the ice pop and was laying on her back, hankering for something to wash it all down, luckily, she had a two liter cola with her. She twisted of the cap and began chugging the entire thing, she didn't care if she was making the bottle's contents disappear in seconds, she just wanted a drink. She finished off the cola and set the bottle down next to her and sighing in satisfaction of her feast. "Ahhh, much better." She said in a relaxed tone, she then smelt something that was strange, a smell that was all too familiar. She took a hoof to her mouth, breathed into it and smelt it, her nose recoiled at the smell of her own breath and gave Cadence a hard time focusing. "Ugh, that smells worse than shiny after a full exercise, better grab a mint." Cadence said to herself as she grabbed a pack of mints off of her nightstand and popped one in her mouth, she took another whiff and was satisfied with the problem being solved, but another being created. she felt a slight bloating in her gut that made her feel strange, almost lighter, she saw her stomach slightly grow in size and heard a squelch from her belly that was rather small so she put it off as nothing. But little did she know, that was just a warning of the chaos that would ensue next. Her belly made some small bubbling noises which caught the alicorn's attention, then it descended into full rumbles that shook her body all over, her body shook violently, her enlarged belly jiggling as the mints reacted with the cola that she just drank. She tried to suppress the chaos by flipping over on to her belly, but her gut was erupting in a full eruption. Her stomach rumbled like a volcano ready to erupt, her belly shaking more and more with each passing second as it was getting ready to explode into who knows what catastrophe. Suddenly, the rumbling stopped, her belly no longer shaking and jiggling as it returned to it's normal, pregnant looking state. Cadence wiped the sweat from her brow as the titanic eruption was over, but she still felt weird on the inside, then her throat bulged and her cheeks puffed up. She knew exactly what was going to happen and the only words she could speak were... "Uh Oh." Before releasing a wild, unrelenting, monstrous belch that would put the roar of an ursa major to shame. *HUROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUURRRRRP* The blast of air that came out of the princess' maw shook the entire castle, The guards out in the hallway felt the ground beneath them shake and the walls vibrate. Once the blast had dissipated and the castle was no longer shaking, Cadence quickly put a hoof over her muzzle as she collected her thoughts, she was certain that whatever just came out of her would make the Royal Canterlot Voice used by her aunts sound like a whisper, and she was even more certain that her husband heard it. But even with all of these thoughts running around in her head, with a blush on her face, she said the only two words that seemed right in that exact situation... "Excuse me."
