So far the young man known as Jakerin Zev has spent two whole days in Equestria as he helped out Fluttershy with the animals at her place as he is currently in the public library owned by Twilight Sparkle as he is reading various books to gain more knowledge on the world around him as he is currently reading up on history. As he is still patiently waiting for Princess Celestia to make her appearance since she has yet to come to Ponyville.

"It seems like your a fan of reading as well." A familiar voice said as Jakerin turned around from his seat and saw Twilight Sparkle and just like everyone else she is in a humanoid form but she has pegasus wings and a unicorn horn on her head as she is dressed in a simple light blue button up short sleeved shirt with dark purple knee length skirt, black slip on shoes and she is holding multiple books over both her hands with a levitation spell as her horn glowed with a magical aura.

"I need information and books are the best source for that and hopefully I can find a book that can tell me how I can go back home." Jakerin said as Twilight put the books on the desk Jakerin sat at as she sat next to him with a slight bit of sadness as she searched her library and found nothing that could help him as she knew of his situation when he told her after she ran towards Fluttershy's cottage after sensing Princess Luna's aura.

"Jakerin I'm sorry your trapped here. Away from your family and friends." Twilight said as Jakerin closed his book with a sad sigh.

"It's not your fault Twilight. Besides while I'm here I get to experience things I couldn't experience back home." Jakerin said as he tried to put on a smile but Twilight could easily see that it was a forced smile but instead of commenting on it she gave her own smile as Jakerin went back to reading. "Twilight in this book it says that Mind Flayers where at war with ponies for a while. Is that right?" Jakerin asked as Twilight looked over at his book.

"Yeah. The Mind Flayers are sentient beasts and even now we don't know much about them other then the fact that they use other creatures for dark magic rituals and sacrifices including ponies as well." Twilight explained as Jakerin slowly learned that he wasn't in a peaceful world as this world has multiple dangers and problems that could end his existence given the chance.

"That is something I need to lookout for then." Jakerin said as he closed his book before thinking about things for a moment as he also learned that by coming to this world he has been given strange videogame like abilities after developing a [Dishwashing] skill yesterday as Jakerin couldn't help but remember all the fanfiction stories and manga that he loved to read as he thought some more before speaking up again. "Twilight is magic exclusive to unicorns and alicorns?" Jakerin asked mildly confusing Twilight a bit.

"Not necessarily. Unicorns and Alicorns are simply more adept with learning and mastering magic." Twilight said as Jakerin hummed at that before he spoke up again.

"Twilight do you think you could teach me the basics of magic?" Jakerin asked taking Twilight off-guard once again.

"Well...I suppose so but why would you want to learn magic if you don't plan on staying here?" Twilight asked in confusion.

"Like you said Twilight. I don't plan on staying but while I am here I still want to at least learn how things work here and learning magic sounds cool." Jakerin said honestly as he did plan on leaving but staying and learning magic was something that was simply too good to pass up.

"Well I suppose I could teach you but in exchange you have to help out around here more since my assistant Spike is in the dragon lands currently." Twilight said with a light blush on her face as Jakerin couldn't help but smile at that as Twilight looked very cute with the blush on her face.

"Of course, that isn't a problem at all." Jakerin said as he and Twilight shook hands on it as they made the deal as Jakerin would help out in the library as a official employee and in exchange Twilight will be teaching him magic as well as offering some payment in bits as well. So, Jakerin started immediately as he helped put the books he was reading back in there proper places with little issue as he also helped Twilight organize the books as well as clean up and tend to the people who wanted to check out or return books as Twilight showed him how to properly do such things.

"Alright Jakerin let's go over how magic works and functions." Twilight said with a smile as she readied several notebooks, pens, pencils and other note taking supplies as well as several text books and reference materials as Twilight began explaining magic. "Now magic isn't some simple tool but a muscle that get's stronger the more and more you practice and train as mana powers all living things and beings as manifesting your mana into spells is something unicorns naturally know how to do but for other races you need to practice extra hard at certain mana awakening exercises and meditation." Twilight explained.

"Okay I think I understand what your saying." Jakerin said as he continued to take down notes on what Twilight said as she explained more about the arcane and how it works as well as how it functions and how it should be used carefully and with caution as magic isn't a toy despite how much a young filly will make it seem like one as magic is serious business and requires proper time, effort and training to pull off successfully for races outside of the average unicorn.

Jakerin also had to learn how different time worked here as well based on the history of magic as the months are the same but the year is different apparently as magic first appeared during the shogun period as unicorns rose up to the magic slavery laws and fought a civil war with the earth pony and pegasus shoguns who ruled the lands.

"There is a lot more to magic than I thought." Jakerin said as he easily filled in all the space in his first notebook before going to work on the second one as it was sundown already as Twilight blushed a bit at how much she let herself talk and waste time.

"Oh my goodness I wasted so much time. I'm so sorry." Twilight quickly said.

"No, it's perfectly fine. Besides I want to learn as much as I can anyway. So, let's pick this up tomorrow okay." Jakerin said as he took his leave and headed back to Flutteryshy's cottage as he saw her outside feeding her animals once again.

"Oh, Jakerin you'r back. Did you find out anything important?" Fluttershy asked as Jakerin walked up to her as he earned a growl of slight anger from the large Direwolf that Fluttershy had been taking care of as Jakerin felt slight fear as a result before he spoke.

"I got two notebook full of notes from Twilight about magic but so far nothing about how to get home. Sorry, for taking up your space like this but Twilight also hired me to help out with the library so soon I will have enough money to move out." Jakerin said a bit nervously.

"No, it's fine. Actually it's nice having someone over like this." Fluttershy said nervously with a slight blush.

"Well. I'll go inside for the moment but if you need me then give me a shout okay." Jakerin said as he went into the cottage and sat on the couch as he began reading over his notes a bit as he left Fluttershy to tend to her animals as he didn't notice the slight smile on Fluttershy's face as he entered the house as Fluttershy did enjoy his company a bit more then she let on.

Okay this chapter is a bit short but honestly I wanted to do a single day as a chapter and since stretching things out isn't my style I figured that I might as well make a short chapter instead of making one that I couldn't put my heart into.
