//-------------------------------------------------------// Hero of Equestria -by Zeddicus- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// New Game //-------------------------------------------------------// New Game Time: 2/13/2021, Location: Small American Town Currently playing Fallout New Vegas in his room at his parents home is a young man named Jacob Silver as Jacob is six feet tall with dark brown skin, black hair done in a small afro with hazel brown eyes as he has a average build and is currently wearing a basic light green T-shirt with black basketball shorts as he is currently playing through the Dead Money DLC with joy and skill despite his not so great character build and the few mods he installed on the Xbox game. The mods didn't overhaul the game or anything but they where simply made for cosmetic and lore purposes as he refused to use mods that altered the gameplay or add in any over powered weapons and gear as Jacob has a true appreciation for the game studios that put in the work and effort to make their games what they are. "Finally. I did literally everything in Fallout NV...Now I can sell this to GameStop for some cash that will be put towards another game." Jacob said as he took his game out and put it in its case before he let out a yawn and rubbed his eyes a bit before he looked out his bedroom window and saw just how late into the night it had gotten. "Never mind then. I guess I should close this window." Jacob said before he stood up from his gaming chair and shut his window and moved to close the blinds before he noticed a strange flash of multi-colored light appear outside his window as it looked like a crystal shard in the air and shinned brightly like a florescent light bulb. "What the hell?" Jacob asked in confusion before the light suddenly vanished and then he suddenly felt that his feet had gotten wet. Now when he looked down that is when he saw that the multi-colored shard had reappeared beneath his feet and he couldn't even move as his feet had sunk into the light as Jacob than started screaming in panic as he quickly sunk into the light with nothing but the clothes on his back and the videogame in his hand as the last sight he saw was his parents bursting into his room before he ultimately sunk into the strange light. When Jacob opened his eyes he was hit by wave after wave of lights and colors so vibrant that he didn't know if they where real or not as he felt his body falling through the air at bizarre speeds until he finally came to a stop when he saw a strange amber colored videogame screen appear in front of him. {You are being loading into a new reality beyond your understanding and as such your stats and race has been altered accordingly. Your name has also been changed to better fit this new world} Name: Jakerin Zev, Age: 19, Race: Zebra Title: [The Gamer], Level: 2 (3%) HP: 100/100, AP: 110/110, MP: 50/50 STR: 6, PER: 4 END: 6, CHA: 3 INT: 8, AGI: 6 LUK: 20 "What the hell?" Jacob asked in confusion before another screen appeared in front of him. {You will now be spawned in this new world but be warned that you do not have extra lives so go out and have fun, be wild and maybe create some chaos if you desire} Then just like that Jacob's vision grew dark and he was knocked unconscious as his body grew limp and simply fell through the rainbow colored gateway that would take him to another world. Time: N/A, Location: N/A "Ugh my head." Jacob said as he started to wake up as he sat up and found that he is in the middle of some dark and dank forest that he wasn't familiar with as the plants and area looked completely bizarre and unknown. "Where am I?" Jacob asked as he stood up and looked around one more time before he decided to start moving as he headed north unaware that this was the beginning of a new adventure for him and equally unaware that he was being watched by a cloaked figure that stood behind a large and semi-twisted tree with pitch black wood. "Curious indeed my fellow zeeb. Why have you wandered in the forest where you will be nourishment for beasts of the meanest type?" The cloaked figure asked as she followed behind Jacob in silence as her footsteps and movements didn't even make a sound thanks to practice and skill as she watched her fellow zebra wander through the forest without knowing where to go as she wondered why someone would come into the Everfree forest alone and without supplies as it was simply a miracle that the wild predator's and demons of the forest haven't noticed his stumbling as she wanted to help this poor soul but she was unaware of what his alignment was and if she even should help this fellow. He could be a fugitive on the run given how scared and carelessly he is moving and how he seems to lack any real equipment or any skills to help him navigate this place. And to be honest. Seeing this zebra fall on his face after failing to jump over a tree branch was funny and almost made her give away her position as she still stuck close to this zebra as she and the young zebra both heard a loud roaring sound coming from nearby as this cloaked figure knew from the sound that it was far off but sadly this zebra didn't know that and he began to try and run through the forest and it was understandable to anyone who wasn't as well trained in the ways of nature as she was as this zebra wasn't all that fast and she had zero issue keeping up as she was determined to keep a eye on this guy as he was near the town of Ponyville and she needed to make a choice about what to do as her crossbow on her back was ready to let loose a bolt if she needed to let one lose. She needed to make a choice now and she made her choice by giving the guy a chance as she let him see and walk towards the city of Ponyville. "Whoa" Jacob said as he came up to and saw the city of Ponyville as the city looked massive in size as Jacob saw that the area in front of him and around the city had been fenced of by a large barb wire fence and the moment he touched it he got a nasty shock to his system knocking him back and knocking him out cold. xxx-xxx Jacob had started waking up sometime later after he had gotten knocked out as he saw that he was now in chains in a cold and dark cobblestone room as the chains where wrapped around his wrists and ankles tightly to prevent him from escaping as he saw the door to the room open and reveal antro ponies clad in modernized looking armor as Jacob was now thrown through a loop as he saw real life colorful ponies, unicorns and pegasus beings in armor with guns and swords come into the room as there are six in total as they aimed their swords at me after drawing them before one more person entered the room as this last person was the most shocking. Jacob recognized her from the my little pony movie Equestria Girls as this girl was Luna aka Princess Luna as she has blue eyes with dark blue hair and light blue skin as she has a lovely hour glass figure to her frame with large wings on her back with a large horn on her forehead as she is wearing a black sleeveless dress that reached her feet with golden jewelry decorating her arms and neck as she also wore a decorative crown on her head. "Lower your weapons." Luna ordered as the guards lowered their weapons while Luna walked towards Jacob as she towered over him at at least six foot four in height as she bent her knees and lowered herself to look at Jacob's gaze. "What's your name young man?" Luna asked and for some reason instead of saying his real name. Jacob instantly said something else. "My name is Jakerin Zev and I don't know how I got here." Jacob said as one of the guards wanted to say something but didn't as Luna spoke. "I know. I read your mind while you where asleep and I saw that you are not from this world but your mental defenses somehow managed to make me stop using my scrying spells despite my aptitude for them." Luna said as her horn glowed as the chains on Jacob wrists and ankles unlocked and fell on the floor. "Princess?" One of the guards asked in confusion. "Fear not. He isn't dangerous and I wish to show him around the town a bit before my sister come's here to examine him herself. Now, take my hand Jakerin and I will show you around Ponyville." Luna said as Ja-Jakerin took Luna's hand as she helped him up and led him out of the dungeon as she began to show him around the massive city. xxx-xxxx The tour stopped when Luna and Jakerin came up to a large cottage of animals near the city limits as this part of the city was roughly the only part that wasn't fenced off as Jakerin then saw the familiar cream yellow skinned pegasus known as Fluttershy as she has her long light pink hair as she is wearing a white T-shirt with a dull green knee length skirt, white knee socks and brown shoes as she is currently giving several small animals some food as she poured some organic animal feed into several small bowls before she noticed Luna and Jakerin. "Princess Luna. I wasn't aware you where coming." Fluttershy said as she ran up to both Luna and Jakerin. "Oh. I'm sorry I didn't mean to make it sound like I should expect you or anything." Fluttershy quickly said nervously. "It is alright Fluttershy. Now this is Jakerin and he is in a unique situation so I was wondering if you would be able to accommodate him until my sister come's here to see him?" Luna asked as Fluttershy looked Jakerin over for a moment with a light blue as she looked down and played with her hands a bit before responding. "O-Of course. It's n-n-no problem." Fluttershy said with a bit of a nervous stutter. "Thank you Fluttershy. Now Jakerin I know you are a good man but this kind hearted young maiden can be easily embarrassed and flustered so while your here. Do be on your best behavior and try not to toy with her or anything." Luna said before she waved goodbye to Fluttershy as she teleported away from the scene. "Sorry. I know this must be awkward and weird." Jakerin said as he scratched the back of his head a little bit and looked away feeling a bit of heat on his face as Fluttershy was a bit of a looker with her own desirable figure as Jakerin himself was a bit embarrassed to be sharing space with Fluttershy. "N-No its alright. T-The princess trusts you s-s-so it's fine." Fluttershy said before she led Jakerin inside her home and introduced her to all her animal friends and pets. Author's Note So this is a short chapter in truth but this is the start of a new story for me and I also want to apologize for how long I have been gone and for deleting my first story but sadly that story just wasn't going to work but this one will and this world is going to be very different from most other mlp worlds because this DnD crossover is of a Ravenloft edition of the game and that means drama, horror and death so read at your own risk. //-------------------------------------------------------// New Life //-------------------------------------------------------// New Life So far the young man known as Jakerin Zev has spent two whole days in Equestria as he helped out Fluttershy with the animals at her place as he is currently in the public library owned by Twilight Sparkle as he is reading various books to gain more knowledge on the world around him as he is currently reading up on history. As he is still patiently waiting for Princess Celestia to make her appearance since she has yet to come to Ponyville. "It seems like your a fan of reading as well." A familiar voice said as Jakerin turned around from his seat and saw Twilight Sparkle and just like everyone else she is in a humanoid form but she has pegasus wings and a unicorn horn on her head as she is dressed in a simple light blue button up short sleeved shirt with dark purple knee length skirt, black slip on shoes and she is holding multiple books over both her hands with a levitation spell as her horn glowed with a magical aura. "I need information and books are the best source for that and hopefully I can find a book that can tell me how I can go back home." Jakerin said as Twilight put the books on the desk Jakerin sat at as she sat next to him with a slight bit of sadness as she searched her library and found nothing that could help him as she knew of his situation when he told her after she ran towards Fluttershy's cottage after sensing Princess Luna's aura. "Jakerin I'm sorry your trapped here. Away from your family and friends." Twilight said as Jakerin closed his book with a sad sigh. "It's not your fault Twilight. Besides while I'm here I get to experience things I couldn't experience back home." Jakerin said as he tried to put on a smile but Twilight could easily see that it was a forced smile but instead of commenting on it she gave her own smile as Jakerin went back to reading. "Twilight in this book it says that Mind Flayers where at war with ponies for a while. Is that right?" Jakerin asked as Twilight looked over at his book. "Yeah. The Mind Flayers are sentient beasts and even now we don't know much about them other then the fact that they use other creatures for dark magic rituals and sacrifices including ponies as well." Twilight explained as Jakerin slowly learned that he wasn't in a peaceful world as this world has multiple dangers and problems that could end his existence given the chance. "That is something I need to lookout for then." Jakerin said as he closed his book before thinking about things for a moment as he also learned that by coming to this world he has been given strange videogame like abilities after developing a [Dishwashing] skill yesterday as Jakerin couldn't help but remember all the fanfiction stories and manga that he loved to read as he thought some more before speaking up again. "Twilight is magic exclusive to unicorns and alicorns?" Jakerin asked mildly confusing Twilight a bit. "Not necessarily. Unicorns and Alicorns are simply more adept with learning and mastering magic." Twilight said as Jakerin hummed at that before he spoke up again. "Twilight do you think you could teach me the basics of magic?" Jakerin asked taking Twilight off-guard once again. "Well...I suppose so but why would you want to learn magic if you don't plan on staying here?" Twilight asked in confusion. "Like you said Twilight. I don't plan on staying but while I am here I still want to at least learn how things work here and learning magic sounds cool." Jakerin said honestly as he did plan on leaving but staying and learning magic was something that was simply too good to pass up. "Well I suppose I could teach you but in exchange you have to help out around here more since my assistant Spike is in the dragon lands currently." Twilight said with a light blush on her face as Jakerin couldn't help but smile at that as Twilight looked very cute with the blush on her face. "Of course, that isn't a problem at all." Jakerin said as he and Twilight shook hands on it as they made the deal as Jakerin would help out in the library as a official employee and in exchange Twilight will be teaching him magic as well as offering some payment in bits as well. So, Jakerin started immediately as he helped put the books he was reading back in there proper places with little issue as he also helped Twilight organize the books as well as clean up and tend to the people who wanted to check out or return books as Twilight showed him how to properly do such things. "Alright Jakerin let's go over how magic works and functions." Twilight said with a smile as she readied several notebooks, pens, pencils and other note taking supplies as well as several text books and reference materials as Twilight began explaining magic. "Now magic isn't some simple tool but a muscle that get's stronger the more and more you practice and train as mana powers all living things and beings as manifesting your mana into spells is something unicorns naturally know how to do but for other races you need to practice extra hard at certain mana awakening exercises and meditation." Twilight explained. "Okay I think I understand what your saying." Jakerin said as he continued to take down notes on what Twilight said as she explained more about the arcane and how it works as well as how it functions and how it should be used carefully and with caution as magic isn't a toy despite how much a young filly will make it seem like one as magic is serious business and requires proper time, effort and training to pull off successfully for races outside of the average unicorn. Jakerin also had to learn how different time worked here as well based on the history of magic as the months are the same but the year is different apparently as magic first appeared during the shogun period as unicorns rose up to the magic slavery laws and fought a civil war with the earth pony and pegasus shoguns who ruled the lands. "There is a lot more to magic than I thought." Jakerin said as he easily filled in all the space in his first notebook before going to work on the second one as it was sundown already as Twilight blushed a bit at how much she let herself talk and waste time. "Oh my goodness I wasted so much time. I'm so sorry." Twilight quickly said. "No, it's perfectly fine. Besides I want to learn as much as I can anyway. So, let's pick this up tomorrow okay." Jakerin said as he took his leave and headed back to Flutteryshy's cottage as he saw her outside feeding her animals once again. "Oh, Jakerin you'r back. Did you find out anything important?" Fluttershy asked as Jakerin walked up to her as he earned a growl of slight anger from the large Direwolf that Fluttershy had been taking care of as Jakerin felt slight fear as a result before he spoke. "I got two notebook full of notes from Twilight about magic but so far nothing about how to get home. Sorry, for taking up your space like this but Twilight also hired me to help out with the library so soon I will have enough money to move out." Jakerin said a bit nervously. "No, it's fine. Actually it's nice having someone over like this." Fluttershy said nervously with a slight blush. "Well. I'll go inside for the moment but if you need me then give me a shout okay." Jakerin said as he went into the cottage and sat on the couch as he began reading over his notes a bit as he left Fluttershy to tend to her animals as he didn't notice the slight smile on Fluttershy's face as he entered the house as Fluttershy did enjoy his company a bit more then she let on. Author's Note Okay this chapter is a bit short but honestly I wanted to do a single day as a chapter and since stretching things out isn't my style I figured that I might as well make a short chapter instead of making one that I couldn't put my heart into.
