In the charred remains of a cave near Ponyville, a supposed altered version of a journal was found. What you are about to read is the edited version and not the original version itself. The author is nowhere to be found and is presumed dead or missing. However, a note was found next to the aforementioned journal which may prove that the author may still be alive. The note precedes as follows:

So you found this journal of mine. I knew that so many didn't have to look that far to find it. Anyway, this little journal of mine is filled with the pieces of my life and the events that unfolded here like they are puzzle pieces for you to pick up and piece together what has happened. It's like a little game for the ones who find it fun to do so. Like a certain other pony I know of. As for what I am or where I am at the moment... well I really can't say much in this note. Just remember that you will find ALL the answers when reading the journal. I don't have time to finish this properly. Something is happening in Equestria. Something that doesn't need my presence at all. So read on and find out but remember, you may see or find things that weren't there before.

As of now, the only act that is public at the moment is Act 1 whereas the others are still waiting. Perhaps we can find a clue in the act and find out where the original author is and lastly put this little mystery to rest.
