Cake's Canterlot Vacation
Beep. Beep. Beep! I reached over and slapped at my bedside table until finally I hit my alarm clock. Beep! Beep! Beep! I hit the alarm clock again. Beep! Beep! BEEP! Groaning I grabbed the cord and pulled it as hard as I could unplugging the alarm. “BEEP!”
“How, how are you still working?!” I shot up out of bed, only to hear my sister giggling. “Hahaha, very funny.” Grabbing a glass water by my bed I threw it into her face, and couldn’t help smiling on a successful splash attack. “That’s funny.”
“No that’s juvenile. This is funny.” Her horn lit up and he was pulled out of bed landing on the floor. “Got you feather weight.” I jumped on her wrestling her to the ground and pinning her.
“Look like you lose.” She smirked at me before she vanished. “Wh-Oof!” I hit the floor as she fell on top of me.
“You were saying.”
“Get off of me.”
“I win. Feather weight.”
“I’m not a feather weight you just weigh a ton!” She huffed. I prided myself in my genius comeback for a full two seconds before I felt a sharp pain shoot through one of my wings. "Ahhhhhh!"
"Oops didn't mean for it to hurt that bad." She showed me one of my feathers, for that I shot her an annoyed look, before she started tickling my nose. After each sneeze she'd just playfully say, "Bless you."
"I'm going to to achu! Get you for. Achu. This Sis."
"Apologize for calling me fat. I have it on good authority I have a very cute flank, from quiet a few of the colts in class." She continued tickling my nose.
"Who-achu! You're to young for-achu-colts to be looking at your-achu-flank!"
"Oh then isn't Flurry Heart to young for you to be gawking over her 'cute little flank'?" She asked finally getting off of my back. "You talk a bit in your sleep you know that."
"I-that's none of your business." I could feel my cheeks getting red.
"Yeah, yeah whatever brobro. Anyways, I already got my shower so go get yours I've got plans today and you're coming with me. We're going to enjoy the capital for once instead of being shut up in this little dorm room."
"What are we doing, I was planning on going home."
"We can go home tonight, but first movies, shopping, walking in the parks and Fun!"
"Alright sure, that sounds fun," I grabbed my towel and headed to the bathroom.
"Oh and Flurries going with us, have fun in the shower, I'll be waiting for her down stairs."
The shopping my sister had in mind was at the Canterlot Mall, and my involvement in it was as a glorified bag carrier for her and Flurry Heart. They dropped the ten bags off back at Flurry's room in the palace before heading back to the mall for the movies.
"Okay you two love birds can go get our seats, I'll get the drinks and popcorn."
"This isn't a date. Pumpkin, just get the popcorn." I groaned as she walked off. "Auntie Pinkie was right about her."
"Right about what?" Flurry asked as we walked into the theater.
"She can really push a tease." I answered blushing.
"Is she teasing your or me?" Flurry asked.
"I think she's teasing me, she found out that I have a bit of a um well you know." I said trying to dance around the issue, at least the theater was dark so she couldn't see my face turning bright red.
"You have a crush on me?" She asked, "I mean, we could make this a date." I stopped in the middle of the walk way.
"Wait what?"
"Well I thought she was teasing me because she found out I had a small crush on you back at the start of this school year, so if you have a crush on me and I have one on you, then we could you know, go together in the palace hedge maze?"
"I mean yeah that sounds great. I uh day out."
"Date."
"I'm not sure I'm ready for a date, but I could absolutely do a day out." She laughed a little.
"What's the difference."
"I don't have to flip the full bill on a day out." I joked she laughed again getting a double seat for us. I sat next to her. Sis came in not to long ago and sat behind us she passed us our sodas and popcorn. After the movie Sis slid off saying she was going to move her bags to our dorm, and get the tickets for the train back to Ponyville. She told us not to wait up, and teleported away before we could protest.
"I'm beginning to think she's less of a tease and more of an evil genius, and this was all her plan to get us together for a day, given you and I don't really share any classes this semester."
"Yeah she does like to meddle." I smiled. "But that just means that she's always going to work on making pony's lives better I guess." We walk through the Palace gardens.
"So you're both heading home for the rest of the break?"
"Yeah, we want to spend time with mom and dad, and Auntie Pinkie, and Lil' Cheese too, I guess, their turning one this year, in two days actually."
"That explains why she tried to convince me to go see Aunt Twilight. She reads way to many romance novels."
"Are you kidding me she writes to many romance novels. Have you seen her note books?" Flurry laughed.
"Yeah Unfortunately I have. Some of them are nice, but she just loves pouring the super sweet stuff on hard, and it's a little concerning that she has shipfics written about all our classmates too. And I thought my mom was a professional shipper, she could take notes from your sister." Pound couldn't help but laugh as they walked through the hedge maze. "I think I will go visit aunt Twilight, I have to do a report on magical creatures during my break."
"Yeah I got the same teacher for Abnormal and Magical Flora and Fauna too, I forgot about that. Wanna go into the Everfree and study timber wolves we should be fine if we stay in the air."
"Sure consider it a date." I smiled at that.
"That's a something I'm more than happy calling a date."
