Moonlight River was a thestral in the Night Guard. While the pay was nice, many including her felt that there wasn't enough action and that they needed something more. When an unexpected wave of monsters rose across Equestria, a Monster Bounty Hunting Guild was formed. Even though death was far more likelier than standing still in the Royal Guard, the action, higher pay, and fame made it all worthwhile.

Thus when Moonlight River finally got her first contract from the Guild to capture a werewolf in the Everfree, she immediately took flight to complete her task.

However soon she'll find out that the werewolf had a prize that none other could ever hope to match.
