Princess Amber of Enchancia was happy with her life, but she found herself wanting to try something else. But she had expectations to meet with her friends at Royal Prep, and she knew everypony would make a fuss if she stepped out of the usual Princess-like activities.

But when her father goes into town, and she decides to go with him, she meets an unlikely pony, and a friendship begins to blossom.
