Wondercolts Girls vs Shadowbolts Girls
The school board had decided to add another sport for the students at the schools in the district and the board had chosen football. One Saturday morning, practice for the CHS Girls Football team was taking place at Canterlot University since CHS & Crystal Prep shared the football field at the city’s college. The football field was navy blue, the yard lines were white and the endzones were black with “Canterlot” written in Gold.
The CHS girls that chose to join the team was Sunset, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow, Rara, Lyra, Bon-Bon, Vinyl Scratch, Spitfire, Limestone Pie, Marble Pie, High Winds, Wallflower Blush, Cloudy Kicks, Roseluck, Blaze, Misty Fly, Meadow Flower, Fleetfoot, Minuette, Derpy, Gabby, Greta, Giselle, Gigi & Gilda.
The offense was Sunset(her # is 1) as lead quarterback, Pinkie(#44), RD(#20), Spitfire(#11) & Blaze(#41) as the receivers. Flutters(#22) & Fleetfoot(#39) were the running backs, Marble(#8) was backup qb, High Winds(#21), Wallflower Blush(#14), Cloudy Kicks(#23) & Roseluck(#26) were the backup receivers.
Derpy(#4) was the Kicker and Bon-Bon(#9), Gabby(#16), Greta(#55) & Minuette(#45) were the offensive line that blocks for the quarterback & running backs.
The defense was Rara(#24), Vinyl(#3) & Lime(#28) as the cornerbacks who try & stop receivers from catching passes. Lyra(#5), AJ(#25) & Meadow(#19) are the linebackers who are the middle ground on the defense who give help to the corners & defense line stop offenses. Lastly Mistly(#36), Gilda(#99), Gigi(#30) & Giselle(#58) where the defensive who try & get past offensive lines to tackle quarterbacks & running backs.
In the morning practice, the offense was wearing the team’s home uniform, which is a royal blue jersey with gold stripes on the sides, gold numbers that have white outlines, gold pants with royal blue stripes on the sides & royal blue cleats.
and the defense is wearing the away uniform, which is a white jersey with royal blue stripes on the sides, royal blue numbers that have gold outlines, royal blue pants with gold stripes on the sides & royal blue cleats.
Everybody’s helmets were royal blue with a logo of a white unicorn head with a gold horn & mane on the sides of the helmet & a white facemask. The team was standing on the 50 yard line except for Derpy, Fleetfoot & Marble who were with Ms. Solar.
The offense was huddled up, Sunset was looking at a gold wristband on her right arm which had plays on them.
“Alright let’s start with rainbomb.” said Sunset.
“Really?” said Giselle.
“You gotta stop naming plays after your band.” said Spitfire.
Sunset rolled her eyes, the offense & defensive lines bent down, placing one hand on the 50 yard line, Bon-Bon had her hand on a blue & gold football. The receivers were standing on the 50 two on each side of the offensive line, the cornerbacks where standing in front of the receivers, the linebackers were behind the defense line and Sunset & Fluters were behind the offense line.
“Hike.” said Sunset.
The Receivers took off running, Sunset tossed the ball to the left to Fluttershy who ran a 6 yards forward before tossing it backwards to Pinkie. Lyra tackled Fluttershy a second after the latter tossed the ball to Pinkie.
Pinkie dodge tackles from AJ, Meadow & Vinyl before being brought down by Rara at the 25 yard line of the defense.
“YEAH!” cheered Pinkie.
“Good job.” chuckled Rara, helping Pinkie up.
“Your passing’s gotten better Shy.” said Pinkie as everyone else walked up.
“Thanks.” said Fluttershy.
“You still need to pass it quicker, I was very close to getting you.” said Lyra.
“Sorry, it’s just hard throwing it under pressure, I don’t know how you do it Sunset.” said Fluttershy.
“I’ve had a lot of pressure moments in my life, so I used that as experience.” said Sunset.
“Yes, yes, you’ve had moments, can we continue?” asked Gilda
“Easy Gilda, no need to be snarky.” said Bon-Bon.
“We don’t need to have a discussion after every play.” said Gilda.
“That’s how we make sure these plays work.” said Gabby.
“Whatever.” said Gilda.
Both sides got ready for another play, Sunset hiked the ball & dropped back 3 yards. She threw over the middle of the field to Rainbow getting 11 yards reaching the 14 yard line, on the next play Sunset handed the ball to Fluttershy, Bon-Bon & Gabby made a hole for Flutters and who then slipped out of tackles from Lyra & AJ reaching the end zone.
“Nice job, shy.” said AJ giving Fluttershy a fist bump.
“Thanks.” said Flutterhsy.
“Nice work on that everyone.” called Ms. Solar.
Coming from the right side seats whistling & clapping was heard, everyone turned to see Tempest Shadow, Lemon Zest, Indigo Zap, Sunny Flare, Sour Sweet, Sugarcoat, Night Glider, Sugar Belle, Mulberry Cascade & a unknown girl who had dark grey skin, orange eyes & long black hair with light blue streaks. The CPA girls were all wearing their Shadowbolts home jerseys which were purple with yellow lighting bolts on the shoulder & black numbers that had yellow outlines on them and black pants with yellow lighting bolts on the sides. The numbers of the CP girls where 13(Tempest’s), 19(Lemon), 21(Indigo), 37(Sunny), 18(Sour), 7(Glider), 2(Belle), 23(Mulberry Cascade), 6(Sugarcoat) & 5(unknown girl)
“Oh come on.” groaned Sunset.
“What are you all doing here?” called Applejack.
“Waiting for you to get done, we do share this field with you.” said Tempest.
“It’s cute watching you all, knowing just like always CHS will lose.” said Indigo Zap.
“A lot of tough talk from way up there.” said Fleetfoot.
“Are you all scared?” taunted Greta.
“You think we’re scared of you?” laughed Indigo.
“If the shoe fits, come down if you’re not.” said Rara..
“Alright.” said Tempest, leading them down.
Sunset pointed to the unknown girl “Who’s she?” she asked.
“Aurora Vail, new transfer student & one of the linebackers for our team.” said Aurora.
“Here, are you happy now?” asked Sour.
“Hey Lemon.” Indigo said.
“Yeah?” said Lemon.
“When was the last time we didn’t beat CHS?” asked Indigo.
“Friendship Games, but that was due to weird circumstances.” said Lemon Zest.
“So this new sport will end up just like Soccer, Golf, Tennis, Basketball with CPA dominating CHS.” said Sour Sweet.
“It would be cute if the CHS girls here can actually give us a fight, but we once beat these girls next Friday & the boys win next Saturday. We’ll move on to Baltimare High and hopefully they can give us a challenge.” said Mulberry.
“I’ll give a fight right here.” said Rainbow.
“There’s no need for that.” said Sugar Belle.
“Not our fault you all can’t handle facts.” said Aurora.
“Doesn’t mean this time will be the same.” said Applejack.
“Given our schools head to head record in sports, it’s a 15% chance you’ll be able to beat us. '' said Sugarcoat.
Pinkie wrapped an arm around Sunset “We didn’t lose the last friendship games, because of the captain of our ship Sunset. If madness didn’t happen then we would’ve won and next Friday Captain Shimmer will lead us to victory.” Pinkie said.
“Oh really?” said Tempest.
“I do my best work in the field.” said Sunset.
“We’ll see.” said Indigo.
“Okay everyone let’s get back to practice, you CPA girls stay out of the way.” said Ms. Solar.
“Don’t worry we’ll play nice.” said Tempest.
Over the hour the CPA girls made noises and remarks throwing the CHS girls off, Sunset was trying to hold her composure. She threw multiple interceptions due to the distractions, as the CHS girls were heading to the locker room after their practice. The CPS girls came on the field for their practice, and they poked fun at the CHS team.  
The rest of the CPA girls team were Angel Wings(#31), Vapor Trail(#40), Stormwalker(#33), Jet Stream(#15), Lightning Dust(#36), Crystal Lullaby(#48), Orange Sherbette(#41), Holly Dash(#12), Melon Mint(#26), Alizarin Bubblegum(#59), Pizzelle(#51), Ginger Owlseye(#40) & Glitter Drops(#29)
Later that night the main 7 were hanging out at Pinkie’s house. While the others were having fun Sunset was reading every play of the team’s football playbook.
“Hey put that down & relax.” said Rainbow.
“Can’t I need to know every inch of this.” said Sunset.
“Come on, it’ll be fine.” said Rainbow.
“I want to make sure I can get us the win.” said Sunset.
“You have an over-competitive problem.” said Rainbow.
“I’m aware.” said Sunset.
AJ placed a hand on Sunset’s shoulder. “We’re going all out in the game, but we don’t need our captain driving herself nuts.” said AJ.
“Okay.” said Sunset, putting the book down.
“Oh.” said Twilight.
“What?’ asked Pinkie & Fluttershy.
Twilight put a video on the TV from her phone, in the video was the CPA girls around a campfire.  
“Glider, Sunny throw them in.” said Tempest Shadow.
Sour Sweet & Sunny Flare threw a CHS Wondercolts banner and plush of a royal blue alicorn with a golden mane & tail & CHS logo on its flank into the fire.  
“Hey CHS, just a reminder of what awaits you next week.” said Sunny Flare.
“Sunset Shimmer, all of us here will admit you are a good leader and while you try to be that hero for your girls. It’ll be for nothing because I'm going to make you comfortable with the ground. Good luck, you ladies will need it.” said Aurora and the video ended.
“They’re obviously confident.” said Rarity.
“And stupid, never give your opponent more modivation.” said Sunset.
Over the week the CPA team members would constantly joke about the CHS teams, however Sunset & Flash(who’s the qb/team captain for the CHS guys) both made sure CHS didn’t react and give CPA that satisfaction.
The games were being televised, the intro to the broadcast of friday’s game was a sweeping shot of the city. The broadcast showed the announcers in the booth, one announcer was male & the other female. The male announcer has crimson skin, silver hair & blue eyes, the female announcer has light green skin, purple hair & pink eyes and both announcers were wearing blue suits, whit shirts & black ties. The male announcer is named Crimson Shine & the female announcer is named Emerald Moon.
“Welcome here everyone to Friday Night Football on the MLP Network, i’m Crimson Shine & this is Emerald Moon. Bringing you week 1 action of High School Football, it’s a double head weekend between Canterlot High & Crystal Prep.” said Crimson.
“These two schools have a big rivalry which was seen in that video posted by members of the Crystal Prep girls team where they burned CHS banners and such.” said Emerald.
“Which is more than likely not a good thing for these Crystal Prep teams as the last thing you should be doing is giving your opponent more reason to beat you.” said Crimson.
“What I liked was the zero reaction the CHS students gave to the taunting over the week, keeping the focus on getting ready for the games this weekend.” said Emerald.
“The Wondercolts have lined up on the 50 yard line, they won the coin toss and elected to start with the ball in the second half.” said Crimson.
The broadcast switches to the field, obviously showing the players, CPA has chosen the right side of the field to defend, the game clock shows 11 minutes for each of the 4 quarters. The Wondercolts are wearing their home uniforms while the Shadowbolts are in their away uniforms which are a white jersey with black lighting bolts on the shoulder & purple numbers that had yellow outlines on them and purple pants with yellow lighting bolts on the sides & purple cleats.  
Their helmets were purple with the Shadowbolt "S" on the sides & a yellow facemask.
“Derpy Muffins kicks it, Lemon Zest catches it at the Shadowbolts 15 and is taken down at the Bolts 31, so 16 yard return for the Shadowbolts.” said Emerald.
“Alright let’s see the Shadowbolt offense, Vapor Trail, Alizarin Bubblegum, Holly Dash & Orange Sherbette on the offensive line. Lemon Zest, Sour Sweet, Night Glider & Jet Stream as the receivers, Ginger Owlseye in the running back position and leading the offense is #13, Quarterback Tempest Shadow.” said Crimson.
“For the Wonderbolt defense, Gilda, Gigi, Gieselle & Misty Fly on the d-line. Applejack, Lyra Heartstrings & Meadow Flower as the linebackers. Lastly for the corners it’s Rara Coloratura, Vinyl Scratch & Lime Pie.” said Emerald.
“Shadowbolts on their 31 yard line, they hike it, Shadow drops back, she throws over the middle. The ball is tapped into the air and INTERCEPTED by Rara Coloratura at the Shadowbolt 42 yard line.” said Crimson.
“YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!” cheered Lyra on the field as the Wondercolt defense exchanged high fives as they left the field.
“Damn it.” said Tempest as she headed off the field.
“Lyra Heartstrings! followed the eyes of Tempest Shadow and was able to just tap the ball in air for Coloratura to intercept it.” said Emerald.
“Well like we said the Shadowbolts may have fired up the Wondercolts and the proof was right there.” said Crimson.
“Here’s the Wonderbolt offense: Bon-Bon, Gabby, Greta & Minuette on the offensive line. Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Spitfire & Blaze as the receivers, Fluttershy is the running and team’s captain is #1, Quarterback Sunset Shimmer.”
“For the Shadowbolt defense now, the d-line is Stormwalker, Mulberry Cascade, Pizzelle & Melon Mint. Crystal Lullaby, Lightning Dust & Aurora Veil are the linebackers and Sour Sweet, Indigo Zap & Angel Wings are the corners.” said Crimson.
“On the Shadowbolt 42, Sunset Shimmer hikes the ball, steps back, good protection. Shimmer throws to the left & finds Rainbow Dash for a 12 yard catch.” said Emerald.
“On the Shadowbolt 30 now, the ball is handed off to Fluttershy who finds a hole in the middle and gets a 14 yard run!!.” said Crimson.
“Fast & Furious for the Wondercolts starting here, Bon-Bon & Minutte create a big hole for Fluttershy to run through for another big play for CHS.” said Emerald.
“16 yard line, Shimmer steps back, runs to the right and throws it where Spitfire catches the ball at the Shadowbolt 5 yard line for third straight double digit play for the Wondercolts.” said Crimson.
“On both of those passes for Shimmer, she had receivers wide open. The Shadowbolts need to work on that.” said Emerald.
“On the 5, it’s handed off to Fluttershy, she runs to the left, dodges at tackle and gets into the endzone for a touchdown.” said Crimson.
Wondercolts: 6, Shadowbolts: 0.
Pinkie lits Fluttershy in the air. “YEAH Fluttershy!” she cheered.
“Pinkie please put me down.” said Fluttershy.
“You wanna do 2-pts captain?” asked Gabby.
“I say yes.” said Rainbow.
“Let’s do it, come’on” said Sunset.
“Wondercolts are going for 2 points, they line up on the 4, the hike, Shimmer hands it off to Fluttershy who runs to the right and she’ll throw to the right to Sunset Shimmer who catches in the endzone for the 2 point conversion.” said Emerald.
Wondercolts: 8, Shadowbolts: 0.
“Wooo.” said Sunset, she & Fluttershy getting high fives & pats on the back.
“What the hell happened there?” yelled Tempest as the CPA defense walked to the sideline.
“Shut up, you gave it to them on the first play.” said Indigo Zap.
“Good job on that throw by Fluttershy & catch by Sunset as the Wondercolts have a 8-0 lead with 7:52 left in the first quarter.” said Crimson.
“Wondercolts backup to kick it off, Lemon Zest catches it at the Shadowbolt 13, dodges one tackle, then another and a third. Zest has an open field and will go all the way for a touchdown!!” said Emerald.
“LET'S GO!” hollered Lemon Zest.
Wondercolts: 8, Shadowbolts: 6.
“We’re just getting one, Sugarcoat.” said Coach Rommel.
“Shadowbolts going for only 1, at the 3 yard line. Sugarcoat kicks and it’s good down the middle of the goal posts, it’s now a 1pt game.” Emerald.
Wondercolts: 8, Shadowbolts: 7.
“Shadowbolts kick it off, returned by Rainbow at the 19 and she'll get ten yards before being brought down at the Wondercolt 29.” said Crimson.
“6:41 left in the first quarter, balls hiked and handed off to Fleetfoot who runs to the left and gets 4 yards to the CHS 33.” said Emerald.
“2nd down & 6, Shimmer drops back, throws down the middle and finds Pinkie Pie who breaks a tackle and is brought down at the Wondercolt 49 for a 16 yard catch & run.” said Crimson.
“Nice job by Pinkie Pie who breaks that tackle from Lightning Dust.” said Emerald.
“1st down for CHS, Shimmer to throw again, she’s got pressure from the defense, runs to the right and will slide down for a 5 yard run.” said Crimson.
“Finally a good job by the Shadowbolts on pass coverage forcing Sunset to run for a small gain.” said Emerald.
“4:37 left, second down, Shimmer dancing in the pocket, waiting, throws it to Blaze in the middle of two defenders for a 7 yard gain.” said Crimson.
“Ooh that was a risky throw there, Indigo Zap almost intercepted it.” said Emerald.
“3:12 left, first down at the CPA 41, Fleetfoot runs it up the middle and is tackled for a 4 yard gain.” said Crimson.
“CHS hurries to the line, Shimmer throws and is caught by Rainbow on the edge of the sideline for a 10 yard catch and the clock stops with 2:39 in the first.” said Crimson.
“What the hell are you all doing?” asked Aurora in the defense huddle.
“Maybe if you got pressure to Sunset, she wouldn’t be able to throw all over us.” answered Sunny Flare.
“Can we try to stop them?” said Stormwalker.
“Alright at the CPA 27, Shimmer hands off to Fluttershy, she finds a gap on the left and is tackled at the CPA 21 for a 6 yard gain.” said Emerald.
“We got them.” said Rainbow.
“Don’t be cocky already.” said Sunset.
“Throw it to me.” said Rainbow.
“2nd & 4 for CHS, Shimmer steps back to throw, she launches down the right side to Pinkie Pie who catches over the head of Zap, gets free and runs into the endzone for a Wondercolt touchdown.” said Crimson.
Wondercolts: 14, Shadowbolts: 7.
“That’s another risky throw for Shimmer which could’ve been intercepted, fantastic job by Pinkie Pie to catch that ball and then take it for 6.” said Emerald.
One the CPA sideline  
“I don’t know how much better I could've guarded, Pinkie’s a beast.” said Indigo Zap when she got to her sideline.
“You did your best.” said Jet Stream.
“Don’t beat yourself up, we’re still in it.” said Night Glider.
On the CHS Sideline  
“Awesome catch Pinkie.” said Applejack.
“Nice job.” said Rara.
“The pink dynamite.” said Gilda.
“Thank you ladies, I'm here all night.” said Pinkie
Back on the field  
“Derpy Muffins kicks the ball right in the middle of the goal post for the extra point.” said Crimson.
Wondercolts: 15, Shadowbolts: 7.
On the CPA sideline  
“Lemon get us another return TD.” said Sour Sweet.
“CHS kicks it off, Zest returns it from the CPA 16. Zest finds a hole on the left, breaks a tackle, then another one and is finally brought down at the CHS 48.” said Crimson.
“Lemon Zest is keeping the Shadowbolts in the game, another great kickoff return.” said Emerald.
“56 seconds left, Tempest Shadow back to throw and finds Lemon Zest for 11 yards.” said Crimson.
“In a hurry up now and they’ll run it with Owlseye who’ll get 6 yards.” said Emerald.
“And that’ll end the first quarter here in Canterlot, the Wondercolts have dominated so far, 15-7 CHS over CPA.” said Crimson, as the broadcast went to commercial.
After 3 minutes of commercials the broadcast comes back.  
“We’re back here for the start of the 2nd quarter, Shadowbolts have it at the Wondercolts 31 yard line. Tempest will throw for the first play of the quarter and will get it to Zest for a 9 yard pass.” said Crimson.
“Lemon Zest who’s been the only bright spot of this Shadowbolts team so far. She’s being a nice safety valve for Tempest, helping the qb get into a rhythm after the interception.” said Emerald.
“On the CHS 22, Tempest drops back and finds the safety valve Lemon for another 11 yard pass.” said Crimson.
“CPA moving quickly, Shadow hands the ball to Glitter Drops who finds 5 yards before getting brought down.” said Emerald.
“Moving quickly again, Shadow throws again, then scrambles to the right to avoid getting sacked, throws and finds Lemon Zest for the touchdown!!” said Crimson.
Wondercolts: 15, Shadowbolts: 13.
Lemon gets in Vinyl's face. “How do you like that?” chuckled Lemon.
“Lemon!” said Tempest, waving her back to the team.
“Alright the Shadowbolts will go for two to try and tie it, Tempest throws it to Lemon and it’s knocked away by Vinyl Scratch.” said Crimson.
“Good coverage by Vinyl Scratch.” said Emerald.
CPA Sideline  
"Sorry guys." said Lemon.
"We're only down by 2." said Angel Wings.
"Sugarcoat to kick it off and it's returned by Applejack at the CHS 18 and she'll get 12 yards on the return, 1st down CHS at their 30." said Emerald.
"8:27 here in the second, Shimmer hands the ball to Fluttershy who'll get 5 yards on the play." said Crimson.
"The Shadowbolts defense needs to get off the field, time of possession is largely in the Wondercolts favor." said Emerald.
"Sunset drops back throws and finds Spitfire over the middle for 6." said Crimson.
"CHS is hurrying to the line now, it's handed to Fluttershy who'll find a hole in the middle for 14 yards." said Emerald.
"The Shadowbolt defense is starting to slow as we at the CPA 45." said Crimson.
"They need to pressure Sunset Shimmer, only once have CPA been able to do so far." said Emerald.
"7:21 left in the second, Sunset goes to throw, scrambles away from pressure and throws it away." said Crimson.
"Melon Mint was able to open a whole for Lightning Dust to get pressure on Sunset and get it to 2nd down." said Emerald.
"2nd down, Shimmer throws over the middle to Rainbow and it's knocked away by Sunny Flare." said Crimson.
"I think this is the first third down of the game, CPA putting on some good fight." said Emerald.
"3rd down, Shimmer looks to throw again and she'll get it to Blaze near the left sideline for a 13 yard pass." said Crimson.
"Blaze is able to break away from Angel Wings for that great catch." said Emerald.
"On the CPA 32, hand off to Fleetfoot who gets 4 yards." said Crimson.
"28 yard line, Sunset steps back, throws and finds RAINBOW DASH OPEN on the left side and she'll run it in for a CHS touchdown." said Crimson.
Wondercolts: 21, Shadowbolts: 13.
"SUCK IT!!!!" cheered Rainbow.
"Who in the world left Rainbow Dash wide open!? Terrible break down on defense there." said Emerald.
"And then Once again another extra point down the middle for Muffins." said Crimson.
Wondercolts: 22, Shadowbolts: 13.
"Back here at Canterlot University, 5:25 left in the first half, 22-13 CHS. Lemon Zest returns the kickoff again, this one from the 13 and will get 12 yards to the 25." said Emerald.
"1st down for CPA, Tempest drops back to pass and will be SACKED!! by Lyra Heartstrings and CPA takes the first timeout called in the game, they have 2 left in the half." said Crimson.
"Lyra snuck around the left side and Tempest didn't sense her coming." said Emerald.
"The sack was a 8 yard loss, 2nd & 17 for CPA, Tempest drops back to throw and it's INTERCEPTED! by Heartstrings who returns it for a touchdown!" said Crimson.
Wondercolts: 28, Shadowbolts: 13.
"Lyra Heartstrings has been a menace for Tempest Shadow, Lyra caused the first interception and now she gets a sack & then returns an interception for a TD." said Emerald.
"CHS going for two again, Shimmer drops back and finds Spitfire for the two point conversion." said Emerald.
Wondercolts: 30, Shadowbolts: 13.
"Lyra Heartstrings as Emerald said has been a menace for CPA. 30-13, Wondercolts leading by 17, we'll be back after this." said Crimson as the broadcast went to commercial.
"Back here at Canterlot, CHS has kicked off, Sunny Flare returns it to the CPA 20 for a ten yard return." said Emerald.
"1st down, 4:06 left in the half, Tempest throws and she finds Jet Stream for a 13 yard pass." said Crimson.
"Hurry up for CPA, Shadow looking, throws it to Night Glider for 8 yards. 2nd down at the CHS 49 yard line." said Crimson.
"Next a hand off for Glitter Drops who's able to get 12 yards and out of bounds at the CHS 37." said Emerald.
"2:56 in the half, hand off to Glitter who gets 6 yards." said Crimson.
2nd down, another handoff for Glitter who gets another 2 yards." said Crimson.
"3rd down CPA rushes to the line, Shadow to throw, she scrambles and is SACKED! by Applejack for a 4 yard loss and 4th down for the Shadowbolts." said Crimson.

“Shadowbolts kicks off, Pinkie Pie's back to return it and she’ll get to the CHS 21 for a 14 yard return.” said Crimson.
“Shimmer back to throw, defense brings the pressure, Shimmer scrambles to the right and she’ll run out of bounds for a 3 yard gain.” said Emerald.
“That Shadowbolt defense is able to get pressure, something they haven’t been able to do so far.” said Crimson.
“2nd & 7 on the CHS 24, Shimmer throws it over the middle and it’s caught by Pinkie Pie for a 16 yard gain to the CHS 40 and the Wondercolts will call their first timeout with 1:03 left in the first half.” said Crimson.
“Shimmer continues to exploit the holes in the defense's pass coverage.” said Emerald.
“Sunset will throw again, she throws and it’ll be caught by Blaze for a 10 yard gain to the 50 yard line.” said Crimson.
“CHS hurrying to the line, it be a handoff to Flutterhsy who finds a hole on the left, she breaks a tackle, dodges a second and will be brought down at the CPA 30 yard line for a 20 yard run and CHS will take their second timeout will 41 seconds remaining in the half.” said Crimson
On the field  
“Way to go Flutters.” said Bon-Bon, tapping the back of Shy’s helmet.
“Thanks.” said Fluttershy.
“Damn it!” said Sunny Flare.
“We suck.” said Stormwalker.
“Wondercolts lined back up, 1st & 10 at the CPA 30, Shimmer dropped back and throws to Rainbow Dash for a 10 yard gain to the CPA 20.” said Crimson.
“CPA rushes to the line, Shimmer to throw and it’s caught by Pinkie Pine for a 10 yard gain to the CPA 10 and CHS will take their final timeout with 9 seconds remaining.” said Crimson.
“Great clock management for the Wondercolts.” said Emerald.
“CHS will line up for the field goal, it’ll be 16 yards, Derpy Muffins kicks and it’s down the middle and good.” said Crimson.
Wondercolts: 33, Shadowbolts: 16.
“Wondercolts, kick off, Lemon Zest returns if from the 15 yards line and will get it to the 26 yard line, but time it’s 0 and the first half is over. Wondercolts will get the ball to start the second half. '' said Crimson.
In the Wondercolts locker room, the players were having a good time while in the Shadowbolts locker room it was a completely different story.  
“So burning that CHS stuff and giving them more reason to win seem like a good idea now?” said Coach Rommell in the CPA locker room.
“It was Tempest's idea.” said Aurora.
“Doesn’t matter.” said Coach Rommell.
“And Tempest is the reason we’re losing.” said Sunny Flare.
“You guys have been terrible at defense.” said Tempest.
“If you didn’t throw those interceptions, we would be less exhausted.” said Melon.
“I say we put Belle in the game as QB.” said Pizzelle.
“What?” said Sugar Belle.
“I second that.” said Night Glider.
“Third.” said Angel Wings.
“We’re only down by 17, come’on.” said Tempest.
“Anyone else want Sugar Belle to start as QB for the second half?” asked Coach Rommell, all of the Shadowbolts except for Tempest & Rose raised their hands wanting Belle to be QB in the 2nd half.
After 12 minutes halftime was over and both teams came back out for the second half.  
“Welcome back here to Friday Night Football on the MLP Network. Where the Wondercolts have dominated the game.” said Crimson.
“Yeah, 2 sacks, 2 interceptions and great play by CHS quarterback Sunset Shimmer & her receivers has led to a 33-16 score after the first half.” said Emerald.
“Who’s your MVP from each team so far?” asked Crimson.
“From the CHS side my vote for MVP is going to Lyra Heartstrings, she’s responsible for both interceptions by the CHS defense & she’s got a sack. Then for CPA it’s going to Lemon Zest, Zest has multiple good kickoff returns with one returned for a TD and she’s been the reliable receiver to make plays for that offense.” answered Emerald.
“Shadowbolts, kick it off and it’s returned by Coloratura from the 17, she breaks a tackle, then a second, a third tackle broken and finally brought down at the CPA 47 yard line for a 40 yard return.” said Crimson.
Rara moonwalks after the kickoff return and gets high fives for everyone on the Wondercolt sideline.  
“Another great play by the Wondercolts.” said Emerald.
“”Wondercolts will start this half with a pass, Shadowbolts brings pressure, Sunset will throw it to Spitfire for 10 yards.” said Crimson.
“1st down now at the CPA 37, Sunset is chased and sacked for a 2 yard loss.” said Crimson.
“One of the few times the Shadowbolts were able to bring pressure on this offense.” said Emerald.
“2nd & 12, handoff to Fleetfoot who’ll get 6 yards on the play.” said Crimson.
“3rd down, Shimmer to throw and it was knocked down by Angel Wings, she was trying to get it to Pinkie Pie on the play.” said Crimson.
“Finally a stop for this Shadowbolt defense, they can’t keep letting the Wondercolts score touchdowns.” said Emerald.
“Muffins too kick the field goal and it’s good.” said Crimson.
Wondercolts: 36, Shadowbolts: 16.
“Wondercolts kick it off, it’s returned by Lemon Zest at the 12 and she’ll get to the CPA 25 for a 13 yard return.” said Emerald.
“As the Shadowbolt offense comes out we’re being told that backup quarterback Sugar Belle is now out there and Tempest has been benched.” said Crimson.
“They needed to do something on offense to get in the game and let’s see if this will be it.” said Emerald.
“Belle to throw, she moves to the left, throws and finds Night Glider for 13 yards.” said Crimson.
“On the CPA 38, Belle to throw again, she fires and it’s caught by Lemon Zest at the 50 for a 12 yard gain.” said Crimson.
“This CPA offense has been electrified and is quickly moving.” said Emerald.
“Belle hands the ball to Glitter Drops who finds a whole and gets a 7 yard run.” said Crimson.
“2nd & 3, handoff again to Glitter who gets a 6 yard gain and a 1st down at the CHS 37.” said Crimson.
“This Wondercolt defense is on their heels right now.” said Emerald.
“Belle drops back to throw, she fires over the middle to Night Glider for 14 yard gain to the CHS 23.” said Crimson.
“Sugar Belle throws again and she finds Lemon Zest at the 10 yard line for a 13 yard gain and it’ll be 1st & goal.” said Crimson.
“CPA in the hurry up, hand off to Owlseye who’ll get 5 yards.” said Emerald.
“Shadowbolts back to the line, Belle drops back, she scrambles to the right, throws and finds Lemon Zest for the touchdown!!!” said Crimson.
Wondercolts: 36, Shadowbolts: 22.
“Sugarcoat to kick the extra point and it bounces on the right goal post! No good and stay a 14 point game.” said Emerald.
“4:21 left in the third, Rara Coloratura is back to return again and she’ll get it to the CHS 30 for a 10 yard return.” said Crimson.
On the field  
“Rainbomb.” said Sunset to the rest of the team.
“1st & 10, Shimmer tosses the ball to Fluttershy who goes to the left and she tosses it backwards to the right to Pinkie Pie. Pie shakes a tackle, then dodges a second and is brought down at the 50 yard line by Aurora Veil.” said Crimson.
“The Wondercolts pulling out one of their tricks from the bag.” said Emerald.
Pinkie got in Aurora’s face. “I thought you were supposed to keep Sunset on the ground? Looks like you're bad at your job.” chuckled Pinkie.
Aurora shoves Pinkie to the ground, the refs throw penalty flags and the refs quickly are able to start a fight from breaking out.  
“Temper’s breaking out here and an easy penalty against Veil.” said Crimson.
“Unnecessary roughness, defense #5, 15 yard penalty, 1st down CHS.” said a female ref.
“I get that the Shadowbolts have been dominant tonight, but it’s still only a 14 point game and now Aurora Veil probably helped make it a 21 point game.” said Emerald.
“CHS at the 35 of CPA, they’ll throw, Shimmer runs away from pressure and is SACKED! By Aurora Veil for a 4 yard loss.” said Crimson.
“Veil trying to make up for giving 15 yards to CHS and will get 4 of them back.” said Emerald.
“2nd & 14, handed off to Fleetfoot who breaks a tackle and will get 7 yards on the play.” said Crimson.
“3rd & 7 on the CPA 31, Shimmer will throw again and it’ll be knocked down by Veil and after giving up 15 yards for getting that penalty. Aurora has helped stop the Woncolts from getting a touchdown.” said Emerald.
“Muffins for another field goal, she kicks it and it’s through the middle and good.” said Emerald.
Wondercolts: 39, Shadowbolts: 22.
“Shadowbolts are able to only give up 3, it’s a 17 point game in Canterlot.” said Crimson as the broadcast went to commercial.
“Back here in Canterlot 56 seconds left in the 3rd quarter, Lemon Zest once again here to receive the kickoff and she’ll find a hole on the outside, to the 50, the 40, the 30, 20, 10, 5 TOUCHDOWN!! Lemon Zest who’s been carrying the game for CPA returns another kickoff return for a touchdown.” said Emerald.
“That’s the weakness of the Wondercolts, those kickoff returns.” said Crimson.
“Sugarcoat comes out and makes the extra point, the Shadowbolts aren’t going down quietly. It’s a 10 point game!” said Emerald, as the broadcast once again goes to commercial.
Wondercolts: 39, Shadowbolts: 29.
The broadcast comes back. “Even with 2 interceptions, the Wondercolts only lead by 10. The Shadowbolts have done a great job here in the 2nd half.” said Emerald.
“Fleetfoot will take the kickoff return for CHS where she’ll get it to the CHS 22 for a 10 yard return.” said Crimson.
“Had off to Fluttershy who’ll get 5 yards and the teams will let the clock run down. One more Quarter left where it’s a 10 point game between these rivals.” said Emerald, another commercial taken by the broadcast.
Broadcast back to the game. “4th quarter here in Canterlot, 2nd & 5 for CHS on their 27, Shimmer throws and finds Rainbow Dash for 11 yards.” said Emerald.
“Now a hand off to Fluttershy which goes 6 yards.” said Crimson.
On the Field  
“Let’s bring out “bright star.” said Sunset to the team.
“2nd & 4 on the CHS 44, Sunset hands it to Rainbow Dash and Dash throws it down the middle to Spitfire for a 30 yard catch!” said Crimson.
“Wooo!” cheered Spitfire.
“Awesome Catch!” said Dash.
“Another big trick for the Wondercolts.” said Emerald.
“At the CPA 26, Shimmer throws and it’s caught by Blaze for a 6 yard gain to the 20.” said Crimson.
“Now a handoff to Fluttershy who gets through a hole of the right and there she goes, to the 10, the 5, TOUCHDOWN!!!” said Emerald.
“Derpy Muffins continues her perfect kick streak by kicking another one through the uprights. It’s back to a 17 point game on Friday Night Football.” said Crimson.
Wondercolts: 46, Shadowbolts: 29.
Back from commercial. “17 point game here with 6:23 let in the game, CHS kicks it off, Lemon Zest returns it and takes a big hit and FUMBLES! It was recovered by CHS at the 38 of CPA.” said Crimson.
“Lyra Heartstrings made that big hit and recovered the fumble.” said Emerald.
“We’ve said it earlier, but Lyra has been a menace for this Shadowbolts team, she’s caused 2 interceptions, gotten a sack and now causes & recovers a fumble.” said Crimson.
Lemon Punches the ground from fumbling the ball & having the wind knocked out of her. Lyra walks to Lemon & places a hand on her shoulder.  
“You alright?” Lemon asks.
Lemon nods her head “Yes.” she said, Lyra helps Lemon up to the clapping of the crowd. As Lemon walks to the Shadowbolt sideline AJ, Rara, Lime & Gilda give Lemon pats on the back and Vinyl gives a fist bump to Lemon.
“Nice to see Lemon on her feet and nice sportsmanship.” said Emerald.
“Marbie Pie has come in to be quarterback for CHS while High Winds, Wallflower Blush, Cloudy Kicks & Roseluck have come in to be the receivers.” said Crimson.
“Marble hands it off to Fleetfoot for a 6 yard gain.” said Emerald.
“2nd down, Marbie throws and it’s caught by High Winds for 5 yards.” said Crimson.
“1st down at the CPA 27, Marble throws to Cloudy Kicks for a 4 yard gain.” said Emerald.
“2nd & 6, Marble hands it to Wallflower Blush for a 3 yard run.” said Crimson.
“3rd & 3, A handoff to Wallflower Blush for 2 yards taking it to 4th down and CHS will come out for a field goal.” said Emerald.
“Muffins kicks and it’s good, a 20 point game.” said Crimson.
Wondercolts: 49, Shadowbolts: 29.
“3:59 left in the game, CHS kickoff and it’s returned by Night Glider for a 8 yard return to the CPA 20.” said Emerald.
“I think it’s safe to say this game has been a humbling experience for the Shadowbolts.” said Crimson.
“They’ll for sure take these Wondercolts seriously in the 2nd game later this season.” said Emerald.
“Sugar Belle will throw and it’ll be knocked away.” said Crimson.
“Amazingly we never saw a punt in this game, CHS scored on every drive and CPA scored on every drive but the ones that ended in turnovers.” said Emerald.
“Hand off to Glitter drops for only 4 yards.” said Crimson.
“3rd down, a pass to Night Glider is good for 8 yards and a first down at the CPA 32.” said Emerald.
“Belle drops back for a pass to Lemon Zest which is a 10 yard gain.” said Crimson.
“Next this handoff to Owlseye will be for 10 yards and that’ll take us to the 2 minute warning.” said Emerald.
Back from the final commercial “2 minutes left in the game, CPA has it at the CHS 48, Belle throws to Jet Stream for 10 yards.” said Crimson.
“Now a handoff to Owlseye for 5 yards.” said Emerald.
“Ginger runs it for another 6 yards.” said Crimson.
“44 seconds left and the Shadowbolts will let the clock run down to 5 seconds before calling a timeout. Here comes Sugarcoat who kicks it and will add on 3 more points.” said Emerald.
Final Score: Wondercolts: 49, Shadowbolts: 32.
“That ends it, 49-32 Wondercolts over Shadowbolts. Thank you all for joining us here for Friday Night Football.” said Crimson.
Later that Night at a restaurant which had a video arcade & bowling alley called Faust’s, The Main 7, Rara, Vinyl, Lyra, Bon-Bon, Spitfire, Lime, Marble Gabby, Greta, Giselle, Gilda,  
Gigi& Derpy were celebrating the Wondercolt win in the restaurant’s bowling alley with many sodas & pizza. They were split into 5 teams of 4 and were doing a small tournament.
“Look who it is.” said Gilda, pointing towards Lemon Zest, Sugar Belle, Night Glider, Angel Wings & Lightning Dust walking to them.
“What do you all want?” asked Giselle.
“I invited them, figured now it'll be best to squash the feud between our schools and all the Shadowbolts were welcome to come.” said Sunset.
“Thank you for inviting us.” said Sugar Belle.
“How are you doing Lemon after the hit?” asked Lyra.  
Lemon lifted her shirt showing a big bruise on the right side of her torso “Bruised, but i’ll live and fight on.” answered Lemon.
“Well grab soda & pizza and have a good time.” said Applejack.
Sunset wrapped an arm around Sugar Belle. “You were very good at being a quarterback.” said Sunset.
“Really?” asked Sugar Belle.
“Hell ya.” said Sunset, giving Belle a fist bump and everyone enjoyed the rest of the night.
