The Decaying

Prologue

A shadowy portal appeared in a cave. The magic that kept closing slowly began to separate and absorb everything’s atoms as a black hole would. All of life around it did not understand and know that they were dying until it was too late. After a few minutes of the portal stabilized itself, a group of pony skeletons with metal liquid canisters in their chests came out of it. Then the portal closed and vanished from existence by its magic ate it.

Skeletons immediately started to follow their master’s order like robots. Each of them went in separate directions from each other to have a greater chance of fulfilling their creator’s wishes. Any creatures in their path would not dare to make any sound and quickly retreated from the living bones because they sensed skeletons’ intense evil aura. After a while of walking, carcasses found good spots to wait for their prey. They opened their liquid canisters up before dismantling themselves into piles of bones. A pure black liquid steady bobbed out of the containers and half engulfed their bones. Now, it was a waiting game for any pony that was too foolish or unlucky to fall in their trap. They got all-time in the world to complete their mission due to it was their purpose.
