“Isn’t nature just beautiful?” Shining Armor asked.
He motioned out to the valley before them. It was a piece of Eden plopped right smack dab in the middle of a national park near Canterlot.
Cadance came up alongside him, playfully bumping into him as she draped an arm around his waist. “It looks amazing.”
“I’m just glad that we finally got a chance to come out here,” Shining said, sighing fondly. “Felt like we haven’t been out in nature in ages.”
Cadance glanced over her shoulder. “Flurry what do…”
Her daughter’s nose was in her phone, flicking away from one app and into another with quite some efficiency.
“It looks great mom,” she murmured.
She slid her finger across the screen to muster a response to someone on the internet.
“Are you honestly texting your friends, right now?” Shining grumbled.
Flurry shook her head. “I was letting Pumpkin know that I’d be willing to take her shift next week and then I got an email from the University of Canterlot about the upcoming campus tour that I needed to respond to ASAP.” She flashed a tight smile and then switched to another app. “But now I’m catching up on Trotgram.”
Cadance cleared her throat. The displeased noise seemed like it was enough to get Flurry to look up, blinking in surprise.
“What?” Flurry asked. “I thought you’d be happy that I was taking my adult responsibilities so seriously?”
“Adult responsibilities can wait until we’re back home,” Shining chided. “Right now, we’re trying to be one with nature.”
He pulled away from Cadance and motioned outwards.
“See isn’t it…” he began.
Though before he could finish with that thought, he was cut off by a bright light that erupted from the evening sky. It bathed the three of them in an eerie and unnatural glow.
Shining’s expression slipped. “That probably isn’t good.”
Cadance looked around the chrome-ladened room, seeing an endless expanse of shiny silver and steel in every direction. Though the metal was tarnished with rocky and coral-looking growths upon it, adding splotches of blues, pinks, and purples upon practically every single surface.
There was a massive window to the side and down below was a little blue pearl that she knew as their planet. She’d seen it enough times in books and maps to recognize the distinct shapes of continents and oceans.
Honestly, she probably should’ve been freaking out. But she was mostly shocked that she was in space more than anything else.
How many people got to enjoy a view like this?
Shining screamed, pulling Cadance out of her thoughts.
“We’re in fucking space!” Shining yelled. “Why are we in fucking space?” He drew in a terse breath, letting it out with a panicked puff. “This isn’t good, this is really not good.”
Cadance nodded. “Yeah, this is probably pretty bad, isn’t it?”
Flurry moved towards the window and was about to touch it when suddenly a horn bellowed from down the expansive hall before them. Each of them turned to face what looked like a throne of sorts.
That’s when Cadance realized that the coral growths were some form of living creature. They peeled themselves away from the walls and stood upon two legs. Their shape looked vaguely human though made of a stony but spongy substance instead of flesh. Also, they lacked faces, looking much like mannequins.
They kneeled before this throne and soon a creature descended from the roof. It was lowered down by thin cables until it settled within its throne.
This coral creature was the most human of them all, having a distinctly feminine body type, curving and thick, much like Cadance’s own. Her coral was made up of a regal purple accented with blacks and greens.
Though this one’s mannequin face soon shuddered and a human complexion formed upon the coral with eyes, lips, ears, and a nose emerging from the mass.
She looked oddly beautiful and almost completely human. At least, if you focused upon the face and nothing else.
“Greetings,” the coral woman said, flashing a smile. “Sorry for your sudden abduction but I am Queen Chrysalis and I’ve brought you here today as ambassadors of Earth to the Changeling Stellar Empire.”
Cadance blinked. “What?”
“Err… excuse me?” Shining beaconed, offering a tense smile. “But I think you’ve grabbed the wrong family. I’m just a manager at a security firm and my wife is a dean at a private school. You probably wanted to grab the president or something, not us?”
Chrysalis chuckled. “Your president would not have fulfilled the role we are looking for. He is far too…” Her expression curled in disgust. “Old and masculine to represent your planet fairly in the upcoming competition.”
“Competition?” Flurry asked. “What sort of competition?”
“Wait?” Chrysalis cocked a brow. “Did our transmissions not come through? Tell me, do you not use ultraviolet communication to transmit your messages?”
Shining and Cadance looked at each other. It seemed like neither of them knew what that even meant.
Flurry shook her head. “No, we transmit our communications on radio waves. They’re like way longer.”
Chrysalis pondered this for a moment before chuckling. “Why, how antiquated. Your race will surely be a nice little treat to add to our dominions.” She shook her head. “Anyways, we’re looking to conquer your planet…”
Cadance swallowed. “Oh.”
“But,” Chrysalis continued. “Under the Treaty of Zargos Prime, I am supposed to engage in a competition against the most qualified champion of your planet to determine the fate of your entire civilization.” She then pointed at Cadance. “Which in this case would be you?”
“Me?” Cadance asked. “I don’t see why I’d be the most qualified person on the planet to…”
“It’s a competition about who’s the better slut,” Chrysalis cut in.
Shining hissed through teeth. “I’m sorry babe but she’s got you there.”
Cadance glared hotly at him. She was about to defend her honour though her expression promptly fell and she sighed in defeat.
“Fair,” she murmured.
“Hey!” Flurry cut in. “I’m also a huge…”
She stopped talking when her dad looked at her and cocked his brow.
“Nevermind,” Flurry whispered. “Just uh… just forget that I said anything.”
“You are a good champion in waiting,” Chrysalis explained as she wagged a finger at Flurry. “But your mother’s years of experience make up for far more than your youthful body could ever hope to muster. Your spirit is noted, however.”
Shining shook his head. “I don’t know what to even say, this all sounds so… strange? Like don’t alien invasions usually involve, well, invading?”
Chrysalis looked at Shining for a moment before she tilted back her head and cackled. The volume of her laughter was enough to make him flinch. Though it was not cruel laughter but instead more amused than anything else.
“We’re not barbarians anymore,” Chrysalis said. “The Treaty outlawed all those nasty little weapons of war. No, by doing this we save on manpower and resources while minimizing the damage done to our new acquisitions.” Her gaze then turned quite dangerous as she smirked at the humans. “Though the old ways can be used if a planet doesn’t follow the rules.”
Cadance shivered at the way those words came forth, practically quaking as she saw the glee in Chrysalis’ eye. Maybe the old ways were gone but even she could tell that this was someone who used to revel in how things were done back in the day.
Chrysalis stood up and descended the stairs. With every step she took, her body started to shift, transforming from a rocky stature and into something soft and utterly human. Her skin was jet black but her beauty and allure more than equaled Cadance’s.
She was also completely naked, causing Shining and Flurry to gawk at her. Though thankfully she snapped her fingers, summoning a faceless minion to bring out a robe for her to wear.
“This is how this is going to work,” Chrysalis explained as she cinched her attire closed. “We partake in three activities that represent our unique skill set. The first to reach two points will be deemed the winner. If I win…” She smirked. “Which I fully intend to, then your planet is mine. But if you win, by some strange happenstance, then I’ll leave your planet in peace for the next generation. Just as it is stated in the Treaty.”
“Our unique skill set is pretty subjective,” Cadance replied, folding her arms in front of her chest. “How will we know which of us has won each round?”
Chrysalis snapped her fingers and suddenly a table appeared at the end of the room with three seats at it. Two were occupied by other rocky creatures who both bore faces and were beaming with wide smiles.
“A panel of three judges,” Chrysalis explained. “Two representing my race and one from yours.”
Cadance didn’t like that arrangement, she didn’t like it one bit. That configuration was already rigged beyond belief.
Though before she expressed this fact, she heard the echo of a voice, reveling in the old ways of conflict. The ones that involved lasers and invasions. So, in the end, a rigged competition was far better than her entire planet getting turned into slag.
Reluctantly she nodded. “I select Shining as my judge.”
Chrysalis shook her head. “He will have another use in this competition.”
Cadance cocked a brow and looked at her husband. Though upon doing so, her eyes widened.
It would seem that he was becoming younger, the wrinkles leaving his complexion and the grey in his hair becoming a vibrant blue.
“What are you doing to him,” Cadance whispered.
“We needed a stud and unfortunately he was the only one who was easy enough to acquire,” Chrysalis explained. She then pointed at Flurry Heart. “You will act as the third judge for this competition.”
Flurry stuck out her tongue. “Really? You want me to rate my mom’s sexual abilities?”
Chrysalis blinked as if that dynamic had not dawned on her until this point. She pondered it for a moment before simply nodding.
“Yes,” she said. “It is a tradition in our culture that the next generation of champions learn from the current generation. One day, you may be forced to serve in my army and this will provide valuable experience.”
“I uh… I’ll pass,” Flurry said.
Chrysalis frowned. “You know that your planet is at stake, correct?”
Flurry sucked in a breath through clenched teeth. “Yeah, that’s a real bummer and all. But I make a very concerted effort to avoid knowing anything about my parent’s sex life.”
“Flurry,” Cadance hissed. “I promise I’ll cover all your therapy costs if you just do this for the good of humanity.”
Shining nodded. “And I’ll make sure you never run out of club money throughout university.”
Flurry pursed her lips together and shuddered. But in the end, she moved towards the judging table, plopping down next to the other two.
“Hi, I’m Ocellus,” one of the rock creatures beamed. “Mom says I get to help her with world conquest today.”
The second nodded towards her. “And I’m Thorax.”
Chrysalis moved towards Cadance, standing in front of her. She smiled at the other woman as she placed a hand upon her shoulder. Her touch was surprisingly smooth for a creature who was made out of rock.
“So, these will be the three categories we will be reviewed on,” she began. “Flirting, nurturing, and impregnation.”
Cadance cocked a brow. “Impregnation? I think you’re overestimate how fertile my body is at this point.”
“Well thankfully we have space technology to help with that,” Chrysalis replied, offering a terse smile. “Plus, your husband has been pumped full of all sorts of experimental chemicals to help with this process.”
Shining grinned a dopey smile. “I feel fucking fantastic.”
Cadance pursed her lips together and looked at her husband. “Any chance I can keep him this way after I win?”
Chrysalis rolled her eyes. She drew away, making her way over to a stage in the middle of the room.
“I was actually thinking of keeping him as a trophy for when I win, actually,” she replied.
She snapped her fingers and another Changeling came forth. He also had a face though his seemed permanently affixed into a dark scowl. He looked at Cadance as if she were dirt upon his boot, not even pretending to hide his disdain for her.
“Dear Pharynx will be our referee for each round,” Chrysalis explained. “He’ll ensure that neither of us are cheating?”
Cadance looked at him and shook her head.
So, what if the cards were rigged? It was only the fate of her entire planet on the line. That wasn’t even that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things.
Barely even noteworthy.
She let out a terse note of pent-up laughter.
“Nervous?” Chrysalis asked.
Cadance shook her head and forced a smile. “What me? No, never.”
“Really?” Chrysalis asked, flashing her own cocky smirk. “Because if I had to face the queen who vanquished over six hundred planets before mine, I would be absolutely petrified.” She made a pleased little noise. “But maybe you humans are just made of stronger stuff.”
She stepped up upon the stage and motioned for Cadance to join her.
Cadance did just that, moving towards the stage and standing upon it. The glow of the lights made it hard to see beyond her immediate surroundings but she could spot the three judges chatting with one another. At the very least, Chrysalis had apparently selected friendly pawns for this kangaroo court.
“The first competition will be in flirting,” Pharynx growled. “The two champions will mimic earthen airline attendants and attempt to entice Shining Armor into the plane's bathroom. There they will assist him in joining the mile high club. The first to do so will be crowned the victor.”
Cadance snorted. “Do you honestly think that my husband would select another woman over me?”
“I think that’d be an interesting experiment to partake in,” Chrysalis teased. “But thankfully one that we won’t need to perform.”
Suddenly her black skin started to molt and was replaced with a faint pink. At the same time, her body started to shift with her fat distributing into a bunch of new places. In a matter of seconds, Cadance was looking into the eyes of a perfect replica of herself. A version that was now wearing a skimpy airline attendant’s uniform.
The trim of the skirt was short, exposing a lot of leg and the top was cropped in such a way that it showed off a lot of her duplicate’s tits. Her clone then smiled and snapped her fingers, adding just a little extra cushion to her bosom.
“What?” Chrysalis asked. “Didn’t expect my race to be masters in the art of mimicking?”
She reached down and cupped her breasts, giving them a firm squeeze.
“You know, I’m kind of shocked that these are real,” Chrysalis quipped.
Cadance knitted her brow but didn’t rise to the challenge. She instead surveyed the room.
“Well, where’s my outfit?” she asked.
There was a poofing sound and when she looked down, she noticed that she was wearing a similarly skimpy outfit to Chrysalis’ own. It had honestly been a long time since she’d dressed like this and it felt kind of nice.
“How do I look, Shining?” Cadance asked, glancing at her husband.
She made sure to do a little spin so he could check her out from every angle imaginable.
Shining offered a thumbs up. “You look empowering, babe.”
Suddenly the stage started to shift as several lines of artificial airplane seats emerged from the floor. All of them were occupied by changelings except for one entire row that was devoid of patrons.
Pharynx motioned to this row and Shining took the hint, taking a seat and buckling himself in. The referee then motioned to the two contestants and ushered them towards the back of the plane.
Cadance and Chrysalis did so, stepping behind the curtain. They exchanged looks with Cadance’s being incredibly heated while Chrysalis just seemed amused.
“What?” Chrysalis asked, her voice now a perfect mimic of Cadance’s. “Don’t you have any faith that your husband will be able to spot the difference between us?”
Cadance only grunted a response.
“Would you like to go first?” Chrysalis offered, batting her lashes. “Or should I?”
Cadance smirked. “You are more than welcome to try. I think I’d love to see you fall flat on your face.”
Chrysalis rolled her eyes. “Well, aren’t you a catty one.”
She examined her outfit and reached for the hem of her skirt, lifting it up and ensuring that there was a lack of panties underneath. When she was assured that she’d reached peak sluttiness, she grabbed a paper cup and a pitcher of water.
With these in hand, she stepped out and into the cabin.
She ignored the rows of changelings until she reached Shining Armor’s seat. Once there, she flashed a tight smile.
“Would you like some water, Sir?” she asked.
Shining looked up and offered a polite smile. “I’d love some, thanks.”
Chrysalis was about to pour the water when suddenly the cup slipped from her fingers and fell onto the floor, bouncing a couple seats in front of them.
“Oh, how clumsy of me,” she said, holding a hand to her chest. “Let me get that for you.”
She stepped ahead and bent forward at the waist, sticking out her rump at Shining. Of course, because of the short trim of her skirt, she also gave him a chance to see what was underneath. Or what wasn’t underneath as he got an excellent view of her fat rump and pussy without those pesky panties getting in the way.
Chrysalis lingered like that for a moment, even wiggling her hips. It wasn’t until she had the cup in hand that she snapped back up and finished pouring the water, offering it to him.
Shining took it and looked largely unphased as he took a delicate sip.
“Thank you,” he said.
Chrysalis studied him for a moment before putting on a sultry smile. “Please let me know if there’s anything else you need.” She licked her lips in such a way that even Cadance got flustered. “Anything at all.”
Shining blinked but nodded. “Well, I could really use some of those little pretzels if you have them.”
Chrysalis pursed her lips together.
“Sure thing, Sir,” she said before turning away and immediately sneering.
Cadance giggled into the back of her hand as Chrysalis returned, stepping behind the curtain.
“Your husband is an idiot,” Chrysalis grumbled.
Cadance shook her head. “You’re the one who pumped him full of experimental chemicals. Who knows what that did to his brain?”
Chrysalis shook her head and grabbed a bag of pretzels, tossing them to Cadance.
“You take a swing at it then,” she said. “I want to see how Earth’s greatest champion faces down against a challenge like this.”
Cadance snorted. “Watch and learn, space freak.”
She slipped out from behind the curtain and sashayed over to her husband’s seat, placing a hand upon the back of his headrest.
“Here’s your pretzels, Sir,” Cadance said, batting her lashes at him.
Shining grabbed them from her and flashed another polite smile. “Thank you very much.”
Cadance leaned in a little closer and stuck out her chest, ensuring that there was no way in the world that he could possibly miss it. And to her credit, that is exactly where his gaze went as his eyes widened ever so slightly.
“You know,” she said. “This is a pretty long flight.”
“It is?” Shining asked before stirring from his stupor. “Right, right, it is!”
Cadance pressed her arms together, really puffing out her tits. “Maybe we could kill a little bit of time together?” She winked at him. “Have you considered joining the mile high club?”
Shining’s gaze narrowed. “I already have enough point cards in my wallet, thank you.” He then popped open the bag of pretzels and tossed one into his mouth. “Thanks for the pretzels though.”
Cadance just stared at her husband, wondering how he could possibly be this dense. And especially how he could be this dense when the literal fate of their planet was on the line.
“You’re very welcome,” she mumbled before slinking back to the curtain.
When she returned to the crew quarters, she caught Chrysalis snickering.
“Okay, I don’t feel nearly as bad now,” she wheezed. “Holy shit, did you like luck out on the himbo lottery or something?”
“I don’t even…” Cadance shook her head and reached up to massage her temples. “I don’t even know at this point.”
Chrysalis smirked. “Well, I think it’s time that I went for a new approach.”
She sauntered out from behind the curtain, approaching Shining’s seat with a little extra sway in her step.
“Mister Armor?” she asked.
Shining looked up and flashed a smile. “I’m fine, thank you very much.”
“You are fine,” Chrysalis said, placing a hand upon his arm. “So fine, in fact, that I was just wondering if you’d like to…” She rolled her other hand through the air, searching for the right word. “Oh, I don’t know, maybe I was just wondering if you’d like to fuck me in the plane’s bathroom.”
Cadance snorted. Like that would ever work.
Shining beamed. “Sure!”
Cadance paled. “Wait what?”
Chrysalis glanced back towards the curtain and stuck out her tongue. This appeared to be the one difference between them as it wasn’t like Cadance’s at all. Instead, it was long and serpentine in nature.
She then offered her hand to Shining and he took it, getting to his feet. Together the two of them walked towards the back of the plane and cracked open the little bathroom. They slipped inside and the door soon closed. It wasn’t long before the sound of aggressive making out could be heard followed promptly by a fly being unzipped.
Though thankfully, before Cadance’s humiliation could continue for much longer, there was a loud ding that punctuated the air. It was followed by a shrill whistle as Pharynx took to the cabin. He had changed into a pilot’s uniform.
“And that’s time,” he barked.
Suddenly, the seats started to sink back into the floor with the Changeling’s still attached to them. The illusion of a plane fell away and left Cadance standing there as the curtain disappeared. Her face was flushed with shame and it took all her willpower not to crack right there and then.
The door to the bathroom opened and Chrysalis emerged, looking like her regular dark self. Shining looked absolutely stunned with various red lipstick marks lingering upon his skin.
“Fuck,” he whispered.
“Now, I think the results speak for themselves,” Pharynx said. “But let’s see what the judges have to say.”
Cadance looked out and saw that the two changeling judges were trying to be serious as they scribbled down notes. Meanwhile, her daughter was poking away at her phone, looking downright bored.
“Yeah,” Thorax said. “I don’t really know what to say. Chrysalis was the first one to get some actions out of the breeding stock. There’s really nothing else to be accounted for.”
Ocellus nodded in agreement. “Sorry, Cadance, but Chrysalis kicked your butt. I hope you can put up a better fight next round.” She sighed fondly, batting her lashes at her. “I really do.”
“I mean…” Flurry shrugged. “I’m sorry mom but you got your ass beat. Me voting otherwise wouldn’t really do anything to sway where this round is going.”
A scoreboard emerged from behind them, showing off the two contestants’ names with matching zeros next to them. Though the zero next to Chrysalis’ soon dinged and displayed a nice fat one.
“Though I do have a question,” Flurry said.
Pharynx grunted. “What’s that?”
Flurry tented her fingers together and leaned forwards. She pursed her lips, obviously trying to figure out how exactly she wanted to phrase whatever was on her mind.
Finally, she sighed and flicked her wrist at Shining. “Dad, what the fuck?”
“What?” Shining asked.
“How are you that bad at picking up on hints!” Flurry yelled.
Shining shrugged. “I don’t like inconveniencing the service staff especially since it was clear that all the other customers wanted something too.”
Chrysalis cocked a brow. “They did?”
“Yeah, the guy in front of me was complaining about not having a pillow,” Shining listed off on his hand. “The guy, in the row next to me, didn’t get drink service because he went to the bathroom. And the guy behind me needed water to take his meds.”
Chrysalis looked at Cadance who merely shrugged back.
She had obviously missed out on that as well.
“If that’s how you treat your clients,” Shining said, folding his arms in front of his chest “I’d hate to see how the nurturing section of this competition is going to go.”
Pharynx cleared his throat. “Speaking of… it’s time for the nurturing segment. In our society, it’s important for a leader to tend to their wounded. As such, Earth’s champion must be able to do what is right in order to ensure her troops are well taken care of. For this challenge, each contestant will get two sessions with the human and be graded on their performance in treating his malady.”
Chrysalis smirked and playfully glared at Cadance. “I am extremely good at taking care of my troopers, human.”
Pharynx snapped his fingers and a bed emerged from the floor, along with some paneling. It gave the room the air of being a standard run-of-the-mill bedroom.
“You,” he said, pointing at Shining. “Go lay in bed and pretend to be sick.” He then pointed at the two women. “And you two get ready to treat your patient.”
Chrysalis smirked and slid into an adjoined room, followed promptly by Cadance.
Together the two of them started to strip out of their flight attendant uniforms. Not that there was really a whole lot to strip out of.
As Chrysalis shed her attire, she also started to shift back into Cadance’s form. Though she ensured that her bosom and ass were still a smidge fatter than her authentic counterpart.
“So why do you want Earth?” Cadance asked.
Chrysalis shrugged. “I could bullshit you and say it's because you have a functional atmosphere and water. But really, I just like conquering things.” She smirked. “It makes me feel good, knowing that I rule over so many different sentient species.”
She reached for the clothing rack and pulled out a uniform, though promptly paused. It was a nurse’s outfit but without the adjective sexy attached to it. It was just a regular pair of medical scrubs with a face mask.
“One second,” Chrysalis said, forcing a smile.
She went over to the door and peered outside.
“Pharynx,” she hissed. “What the fuck are these uniforms?”
Cadance reached for her outfit and started to slip into it. It fit loosely and did absolutely nothing to accent her lovely body. In a way, it was refreshing to wear this after being forced into that flight attendant’s uniform. It was like wearing a pair of sweatpants on laundry day.
Pharynx’s chuckle was audible from outside the dressing room. “I’m sorry, Your Majesty, but last I checked, boners did not contribute to the health of a sick patient.”
Chrysalis huffed and slammed the door shut before returning to the clothing rack. She grabbed her attire and started pulling it on, grumbling to herself as she did so.
“You know they say that a smile does wonders when it comes to a patient’s health,” Cadance chided.
Chrysalis forced a smile, showing off a row of razor-sharp teeth that had not changed with her altered appearance.
Cadance rolled her eyes and went over to the door. “I think I’m going to go first this time.”
She stepped out and into the patient’s room.
Shining awkwardly shuffled in bed, trying his best to look sick though he absolutely wasn’t. Still, he did at least attempt to play the part, coughing feebly into the crook of his elbow.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with me, nurse,” Shining murmured.
Cadance smiled and came up to his bedside. Thankfully, there was a whole lot of medical equipment there to help with her diagnosis.
“Well, I guess it’s up to me to figure that out,” she said, grabbing a thermometer and offering it to him. “Open up and let me take your temperature.”
Shining obeyed and Cadance slid the thermometer into his mouth. She then reached out and started to stroke his arm.
“You know, I remember the first time you got sick when we were together,” she teased. “You kept trying to go to work, saying over and over again that it was just a cold.” She shook her head. “While you had a fever of over a hundred, mind you.”
Shining’s eyes lit up as he obviously remembered this story. There was a twinkle of recognition in his gaze, letting her know that he was aware of her game. And hopefully, if he cared about humanity he would actually play along this time.
Cadance finally pulled the thermometer out. Obviously, it read a completely average temperature but she still pouted.
“Oh dear, you have quite the fever,” she said.
Shining’s eyes widened. “I do?”
Cadance frowned and cocked a brow, which seemed to remind her husband that he had a character to maintain.
“Right, right,” Shining grumbled as he faked a few more coughs. “I have such a fever, burning up and what not.”
Cadance was about to get up and leave but Shining reached out and tugged at the sleeve of her scrubs.
“You know what would make me feel better?” he asked.
Cadance smirked. “What’s that?”
“I’m just saying that a kiss on the forehead might improve my condition considerably,” he said, playfully batting his lashes. “Might even cure me.”
Cadance couldn’t help but roll her eyes as she dipped forwards and kissed him on the forehead. This seemed to sate his desires as his hand slipped away. He then allowed her to head back to the door that divided the patient from his nurses.
