This it is just another idea that popped into my head, so I have no plans to write further chapters. Constructive criticism is welcome, but any hateful comments will be ignored and removed, so please read it and tell me if you like it!
The Confession of Rainbow Dash
It was another beautiful day in the land of Equestria. It was warm sunshine and blooming plants. All the citizens of Ponyville were enjoying a warm day as the weather was beautiful. On Sweet Apple Acres, a mare with a bright orange coat and a silky, blonde mane named Applejack was bucking apples. Applejack stood proudly with a tired yet proud expression, looking at the bucket filled with apples. Applejack took the bucket and made her way out of the barn, where more buckets of apples were on the floor. Applejack placed the bucket amongst one of the few empty areas and let out a sigh of relief as she smiled tiredly. Applejack took a cup of air of satisfaction, she looked at all the buckets and noticed the work that she did.
"Hey, Applejack!"
A familiar voice shouted, causing the orange mare to look at the entry of the barn, so Applejack looked to see her friend Rainbow Dash standing at the entry of the barn with a smile on her face. The orange mare smiled at her friend Rainbow Dash who then trotted toward her with a smile on her face while AJ smiled back at her.
"Well, howdy there Rainbow..." Applejack said with a smile, "What can I do for you?"
"Well..." Rainbow Dash said before she swallowed heavily as a blush appeared on her cheeks, "There's something important that I need to tell you, and please don't get mad at me."
Applejack chuckled at the scene, "You can rest assured that I will not be angry at you."
'Well, it's now or never...' Rainbow Dash thought to herself before clearing her throat, "Applejack..." She said before she abruptly stopped for a moment, "I... I..." She said while Applejack nodded with a smile encouraging her to continue, "I need to tell you a secret... A secret that I have kept hidden for a long time." She said as she then let out a sigh, "I love girls in the way I am supposed to feel about boys. It's just something that has always been inside of me."
"You're tellin' me you're a lesbian ain't you?" Applejack asked as Rainbow Dash gave her a nod, "Oh..." She said as she paused for a moment as she was trying to find the right words, "When did you become a lesbian?"
"I didn't recognize myself as a lesbian until the age of 18. But by then, I was beginning to have fantasies and desires toward mares." Rainbow Dash said as she was nervous, "I was freaked out, but I was in denial and firmly convinced myself that the thoughts about mares were just a phase or something I found exciting because it's a bit different."
"Your words make me think you're comin' out to me." Applejack said as she rubbed the back of her neck nervously.
"I want to share this with you because... I love you so much..." Rainbow Dash said while Applejack wide her eyes with a blush, "I want you to know me, who I am, and I've tried so hard to push this feeling away." She said as she blushes too, "To keep it locked up inside, but every day feels like a war."
Applejack was stunned by Rainbow Dash's confession while she was shocked by the shocking news. Applejack had no words to say, unable to speak out of the blue while they were both blushing awkwardly, unsure of what to say. However, Applejack knew she had to be honest with her friend, so she cleared her throat before speaking.
"You said that you loved me?" Applejack asked while Rainbow Dash nodded.
"I'm sorry if you're disgusted by this, but..." Rainbow Dash said before she swallowed as she looked to his friend to see if he was still paying attention, "My feelings for you... They are too strong to contain now." She nervously said, "I had to tell you before I ended up getting sick, and I want to know if you feel the same."
"I-I'm sorry Rainbow but... I don't. I don't feel the same thin' for you..." Applejack said it nervously, knowing it would break her friend's heart, "Y-You're a great friend and all, but I'm not like that. I'm not lesbian."
"B-But... But you rejected Trenderhoof..." Rainbow Dash said while looking confused, "If you're not lesbian, why did you reject him?"
"Trenderhoof is a nice feller, but I don't feel any attraction to him." Applejack responds calmly, "But that doesn't mean I'm suddenly into girls."
"So... Are you okay with me being a lesbian?" Rainbow Dash stuttered as she asked.
"Of course, I am fine 'bout your sexuality..." Applejack said as she smile placing a hoof on Rainbow Dash, "And listen, I'm flattered you've taken a shine to me, but..." She said with a comforting tone in her voice, "I don't feel the same way 'bout you, and I only like you as a friend."
Rainbow Dash let out a sigh as she stood up, "You can't blame a girl for trying." She said before she trotted to the exits of the barn.
"You don't hate me now, do you?" Applejack asked as she quickly trotted toward Dash.
"Not worry, I don't hate you..." Rainbow Dash said as she stared at Applejack with hurt in her eyes, "Whoever you end up with will be very lucky." She said this before she took off into the sky with a small tear in her eye.
Applejack watched Rainbow Dash leaving. She knew that the heart of her pegasus friend is broken. But she knows she has to be honest with her. Then, Applejack entered the barn to continue her work while Rainbow Dash was now high in the sky. Rainbow Dash continues flying with tears in her eyes as she continues flying with a broken heart. As Rainbow Dash flew with tears streaming from her eyes, she felt anger and sadness boiling within her as she just confessed her feelings and preferences to Applejack, but Applejack was honest that between them wouldn't work.
