By The Way, I Plowed a Horse
Being friends with the mischievous god of chaos is not easy, especially when he's in a certain mood.
Despite being reformed, Discord still lived up to his name in that he loved to cause trouble and pester his friends for his own amusement, and today was no exception. By noon, he'd already pulled various pranks on Twilight and her friends, including turning all the apples in Applejack’s orchard into pears and transforming Twilight’s horn into a candy cane.
Discord didn't stop there. Rainbow Dash’s mane and coat colors were switched, Rarity grew giant hands, and Pinkie Pie’s hooves became what could only be described as gelatin, causing her to bounce uncontrollably across Ponyville without stopping. Nopony was spared. Even Fluttershy became a stick of butter because of Discord.
Twilight already wasn't fond of Discord’s knack for trickery, and his string of practical jokes targeting her and her friends made her even more displeased. He seemed to have it out for her specifically due to their conflicting personalities, making him save his best pranks for her. He would turn her eyes into kiwis while she was trying to read, create a mariachi band that would follow her everywhere, and in general annoy her in many, many ways. Twilight’s agitation festered in her mind throughout the day as she watched the rest of the mane six be affected by Discord’s boredom and especially as he prodded at her with frankly not very funny jokes. She was a patient pony, but not that patient.
It was in the middle of the day that Discord did something that threw Twilight over the edge. Her eye was nearly twitching with bottled up rage as she briskly made her way down the hall of her castle. She was a ticking time bomb about to explode any second, ready to lash out at anypony who said something wrong or even looked at her the wrong way. That's all it would take to set her off.
Discord did way more than just set her off. He made her go ballistic.
“Oh Twiliiiight!” Discord sang as he appeared behind the violet alicorn.
Twilight let out a silent groan of dismay as she heard that voice. She really wasn't in the mood to deal with him, and she could tell by his tone that he wasn't here to apologize. “What?” she muttered without turning around.
“What's the matter? You look a bit...oh, what's the word...melancholy! Let me fix that for you!” the chaos god chirped and promptly snapped his fingers.
“Discord, whatever it is, I really don't-” Twilight started, but was immediately cut off by a watermelon dropping from the air above her and landing with a splat on her head. The rind of the fruit shattered on impact, firing melon all over the floor and getting in Twilight’s eyes and hair while the top half sat over her head like a very unsanitary and sticky hat.
As the princess of friendship stood there with bits of watermelon dripping down from her mane, she could clearly hear Discord roaring with laughter.
“Oh, that never gets old!” Discord chortled. “I'm shocked you didn't see it coming, Twilight! And here I thought you were the smart one of your little friend group!”
With that, Discord got a faceful of whatever was left of the fruit and wobbled a bit in place from the impact, nearly falling over. As he wiped the melon away from his eyes, Twilight, steam practically spewing out of her ears, transported her friends (whom the effects of Discord’s pranks have worn off) to where she was to help her confront the draconequus. Although the five ponies and baby dragon were confused at first, once they saw Twilight covered in watermelon and glaring at Discord, their wide blinking eyes narrowed with scorn.
“Discord! You insolent, dirty rat!” Rarity screeched.
“What? What did I do?”
“Don't act all innocent! You know what you've been doing all day today!” Rainbow Dash snarled, crossing her forehooves as she hovered in the air.
“I'm sorry, but I just don't know what you're talking about,” Discord shrugged.
Applejack piped up. “Discord, do you have any idea how it feels to wake up, ready to do your job like any other day, only to see fruit in your apple trees that ain't apples!? I've got business to do, I can't go sellin’ pears when ponies are expectin’ to buy apples from Sweet Apple Acres!”
“Don't worry, Applejack. The spell will wear off by tomorrow.”
“That's not important!” Twilight said with a step forward. “If you're bored, then talk to somepony or read a book! Don't take it out on your friends!”
“Why not? It's too much fun to see your reactions!”
“Listen here, you mean meanie-pants!” Pinkie Pie said with a raised voice. “I know all about fun, and not being able to control your bouncing along with breaking everything in your path is NOT fun!”
“It was for me,” the god of chaos snickered.
Having had just about enough of his sass, Twilight flew up to his eye level and looked him straight in the eyes with a look of pure anger and rage that would make a drill army sergeant cower in fear. “Do you never think before you do anything!? Did you never stop and consider how your pranks would make the six of us feel!? Of course you didn't! You only thought about your own amusement because you are selfish and-”
With a roll to his eyes and a sudden click to Discord’s fingers, the mane six disappeared in a bright flash.
“Hey!” Spike yelled, his wings flaring out. “What did you do!?”
“Oh, I just transported them to another universe. They'll be back by tomorrow morning.”
“Bring them back!”
“No,” Discord said simply and made Spike disappear as well. A satisfactory grin spread on the draconequus’ face and he pulled out a pair of reading glasses as well as a lengthy list that reached the floor out of seemingly nowhere. “Now, who will be my source of entertainment this time..?” he mumbled to himself as he scanned the list. As he looked over the paper, his eyes lit up as they landed on a certain name. “Ooh, Derpy would be perfect!” he giggled like a giddy foal and teleported away, already cooking up ideas to mess with the grey pegasus mare.
Twilight had no idea what to think when her and her friends suddenly popped into a completely different world. When the surprise wore off and she could fully examine her surroundings, it left many more questions than answers. From where she was standing, she could see that they were in the middle of a town near a river and some buildings, but that was about it. There was no other indication as to where they were in the universe, or if this was even their universe.
The rest of the mane six and Spike were looking around as well, raising eyebrows and widening their eyes.
“Where the heck did Discord send us?” Rainbow said quietly to herself.
“It doesn't look like any place I've been before,” Fluttershy commented.
“Knowing him, we could be anywhere in time and space,” Twilight mumbled. “We’ll just have to make do with our new surroundings until we go back home. Now if we just knew exactly what these new surroundings are.”
The new world around them, while not vastly different from Equestria, still left them with a strange feeling of culture shock as they wandered around to try and find a local who could tell them where they were. Every now and then, they would walk past a child with their parents, and even though Pinkie would want to stay and play with the kid, the others insisted on pressing onward. They needed to figure out where in the world they were first and foremost.
“I can't believe we’re all stuck here for Celestia knows how long!” Rarity whined. “Mark my words, when we get back to Equestria, I am giving Discord the verbal throttling of a lifetime!”
“Rarity, ya know he won't listen to ya anyway,” Applejack said. “Let Fluttershy talk to him when we get back. He’ll actually pay attention to her.”
“Girls, I know you're all upset with Discord, and rightfully so, but shouldn't we be focusing on finding out where we are?” Fluttershy commented.
Suddenly, as if on cue, Pinkie Pie perked up as if she'd just seen a leprechaun and spoke up. “Hey hey, why don't we ask those guys over there?” she asked and frantically pointed to the guys she was talking about.
The group turned to where their excitable friend was pointing and saw a group of men sitting at what looked to be a food stand in the distance. They were barely audible, but if they listened closely enough, they'd be able to hear them laughing and talking.
“It's worth a shot,” Twilight replied and started walking, gesturing for the others to come along.
As the mane six trotted closer to the men, one of them noticed them and rapidly waved to get the others’ attention. “Hey guys, look over there!” he shouted.
The other five, seemingly not very surprised by this burst of energy, casually shifted their gaze to where he was talking about only to jump up a bit at the sight of the pastel colored horses and baby dragon coming up to them.
Twilight offered the one sitting closest to her a friendly grin. “Hi, my name is Twilight Sparkle, and these are my friends,” she greeted politely as each of the group introduced themselves.
“Uh, hi,” the man said with a knit to his brows. “I’m Osomatsu.”
“Pleased to meet you! My friends and I were wondering exactly where we were if you wouldn't mind explaining.”
“You're in Japan,” Osomatsu said bluntly.
Twilight tilted her head a bit. “Hm? I don't think I've heard of-”
“Oh yeah, Japan!” Pinkie said in her usual hyper tone. “I know that place!”
“What? Pinkie, how do you know about the human world? I thought it was just a myth!” Rainbow Dash said in disbelief.
Applejack gave the blue pegasus a disappointed look with a slight shake to her head. “Dash, ya gotta learn to never question her logic. If anypony would know about the human world, it'd be her.”
“But I've been to the human world!” Twilight said, unable to wrap her head around any of this. “I've never heard of ‘Japan’! And the humans there didn't look anything like them!”
While the ponies were talking back and forth trying to figure everything out, the men just sat and watched them, occasionally taking a drink of their alcohol.
“I never thought in my life I'd see horses that can talk,” one man named Choromatsu mumbled under his breath in astonishment.
“Or a dragon,” Osomatsu added.
Another male wearing sunglasses called Karamatsu leaned back to get a better look at them. “Where did all of you even come from?”
“Oh, right. You all have probably never seen anything like us before,” Twilight said, turning back to them. “We’re from a place called Equestria. A friend of ours transported us here, and we don't know when we'll get back home.”
“Well, do you wanna sit here and have some drinks with us until then?” Osomatsu offered, already used to the idea that there were magical equines in their presence.
The person running the stand sighed and rolled his eyes. “Why are you buying drinks for creatures that you just met when you can't even pay your own tab?”
“Don't be rude, Chibita! Might as well make our guests feel welcome!” Osomatsu laughed with a shrug.
Twilight gave him a shake to her head. “We appreciate the offer, but-”
“Whaddaya mean ‘but’, Twilight?” Rainbow said and flew in front of her. “I haven't had a good drink in so long! Of course I'll have some!”
“Oh, me too!” Pinkie chimed.
Applejack nodded. “Count me in!”
Rarity and Fluttershy, unsure about the offer, turned to each other and silently discussed their choice like football players huddling during halftime. “I suppose one or two wouldn't hurt,” Rarity said after she made her choice.
“Um...I guess,” Fluttershy mumbled.
After the five of them got their drinks, Rainbow glanced at Twilight after taking a sip. “C’mon Twi, you're missing out! Come get some!”
“I don't know, girls. Wouldn't it be smarter for at least one of us to stay sober?”
“What about Spike?” Pinkie said and chugged her beer. “He can't even drink, he can be the sober friend who makes sure that we're safe!”
Twilight’s eyes peered down at the ground and she bit her lip. Yeah, she did want to have some drinks and she hasn't drank with her friends in a long time, but was leaving Spike to watch all of them really a good idea? “Spike, are you absolutely sure that you can keep us from getting in trouble?”
“Yeah! You can trust me, Twilight! I got this!” the young dragon beamed proudly.
“Okay. I trust you.” The purple pony made her way over to Osomatsu’s side and sat down, ordering some beer. Once she got her drink, she took a minuscule sip and put her glass down.
“C’mon Twilight, drink more than that!” Osomatsu encouraged, elbowing her side playfully.
Although hesitant, she did so and guzzled about half of the cup. Tears welled up in her eyes as she finished, it was clear that she hadn't had alcohol in a while. “My throat’s burning..” she croaked out.
“You'll get used to it,” he said with a pat to her back.
As the group of twelve enjoyed their drinks and chatted with each other, they each found a lot of similarity with someone from the other group and began to bond, possibly because of the influence of the alcohol.
Rainbow Dash and Karamatsu were the first to get to know each other and were laughing and joking within a few minutes of meeting the other. They talked about many things, including their sense of style and their accomplishments. Even though Kara didn't have as much to show off as Rainbow, he was still glad to listen to her boast about her being in the Wonderbolts and being one of the few ponies in history to perform a Sonic Rainboom. Karamatsu even called her his “Karamatsu filly” at one point with a proud smirk, to which she playfully told him to shut up. Despite their equally large egos (or maybe because of their egos), they were getting along great.
Applejack was the one who spoke with Choromatsu, and even though they didn't have as much in common, there was still a connection between them. Applejack would chat about what her life was like on a farm and what her family was like while Choromatsu would tell her about what life was like with five brothers. She would say things about her friends being like a found family to her and everything that they've done together while he went on about how he wished he had a better relationship with his siblings. The two of them didn't need anything amazing to keep them invested in the conversation. They just talked about their lives, and that was all they really needed.
Out of all of the pairs, Ichimatsu and Fluttershy were bonding the most. Ichimatsu didn't seem interested in talking with her at first and even looked a bit nervous, but Fluttershy was drawn to specifically him out of all the brothers because of how quiet he was. As somepony who could be easily overwhelmed, she was bound to strike up a conversation with the calmest of the group. It took a bit of persistence, but he eventually opened up to her, even if it was hesitant. Once he did though, they were talking each other's ears off about things that they liked, specifically animals. Ichimatsu at one point said that he has a cat that can tell what people are really feeling, and that led to Fluttershy talking about how she discovered that she can talk to all animals and therefore getting her cutie mark. Despite Ichimatsu being the darkest out of all his brothers, a stark contrast to Fluttershy’s soft demeanor, there was a little hint of a smile on his face from the sweet pony’s presence.
Pinkie Pie and Jyushimatsu, both being reality-bending nutjobs, knew that they were going to be friends from the first conversation where they showed off different tricks that they could do. They were challenging each other to different competitions like seeing how much oden they could cram into their mouths and who could juggle everyone’s glasses for the longest without dropping them. They both loved how full of life and energetic the other was, it was so much fun to spend time with them. Cracking jokes, showing off what inhuman things they could do, talking about their hobbies; those two couldn't keep their mouths shut around each other. It was a platonic match made in heaven.
Then there was Todomatsu and Rarity. Their dynamic was...strange, to say the least. Like the others, they started off with friendly banter about what interested them, like the latest fashion trends and their social lives. Totty even took a selfie with her while they were chatting. As they were talking, Rarity said something about how he should wear less pink and try experimenting with different colors, then suggested various hues and shades that he could incorporate into his wardrobe. Todomatsu turned them down, saying that he found some of the colors ugly and that pink suited him best. One thing led to another, and soon the youngest brother and the white unicorn were arguing about colors and what he should wear. They would just as quickly go back to normally talking, then arguing once something else came up, then back to chatting. It was a weird rollercoaster of a friendship and it for some reason seemed to work out for them.
The most unexpected friendship out of all of them was Twilight’s and Osomatsu’s. Despite being polar opposites with the only thing in common being them being the leader of their groups, they got along nicely. Sure, Twilight was a bit put off by Oso being a NEET and his overall douchiness at first, but he still oozed natural charisma that managed to draw her to him over time. She was charmed by him and his shitty ways, and she had no idea why. She normally can't stand that type, and Osomatsu felt the same way. He always considered the polite booksmart kind of girl to be a bore. Why was Twilight the exception? It might've had something to do with how she didn't judge him for being jobless. Even after he casually brought it up, she just laughed nervously and wished him well. He liked that. Maybe it was because of how different they were that they got along, maybe not. Either way, they slowly but surely became friends.
As everyone was forming new relationships and getting plastered, nighttime soon set in and the glow of the stars peppered the sky. Rainbow Dash finished off her fifth cup of beer and slammed the glass down on the surface of the oden stand, giving Chibita a cheeky look. “Hey Tiny Tim, my friends and I will all have another round!” she slurred out.
Chibita let out a heavy sigh at both the demand and the name calling. “Sorry, I'm closing early tonight. You guys should all go home and sleep it off.”
“Aw, really?” Osomatsu said, feigning disappointment. “Oh well. Guess our new friends and us will just have to take the party home then. Isn't that right, Twily?”
“Wh-what's that supposed to mean?” the alicorn giggled. Having the worst tolerance of everyone there, she was completely hammered. She was swaying side to side in her seat and mumbling and laughing to herself about seemingly nothing.
“I think you and I both know,” Oso purred, scooting closer to her and placing his hand on her lower back. He may not have been as drunk as Twilight, but he was still drunk enough to be flirting with someone of a different species. All of them were, in fact, and they weren't being subtle about it either.
“I like the sound of that,” Twilight smirked and rubbed his thigh. Anyone who knew her could tell that she was intoxicated, this kind of behavior wasn't like her at all.
Everyone else agreed to head back to the brothers’ house and take a different room for themselves. Even Applejack, who would normally rather wait until marriage, was up for it because of how wasted she was.
Ichimatsu, however, coughed a bit. “I think I'd rather go for a walk first. Not really feeling up for it.”
Fluttershy nodded. “I agree. I don't want to listen to all of you doing those...things with each other.”
Spike tilted his head a bit. “What things?”
Chibita’s eyes widened and he suddenly looked kind of nervous. “Spike, I know that Twilight told you to keep an eye on the group, but it'll probably be better if you just stayed with me for a bit.”
“But Twilight told me to make sure that they're safe. What if somepony gets hurt?”
“Don't worry, Spike. We’ll be okay. You can trust us, right?” Rarity said sweetly, batting her eyelashes at the young dragon.
“B-but you've all been drinking! I don't know if I can trust any of you when you're like this.”
“Ugh, fine,” Todomatsu groaned. “Just stay out of our way.”
With that, everyone left the oden stand while Ichi and Fluttershy walked the opposite direction like they said they would. Twilight took a few steps forward before she stumbled and fell flat on her face with a smack.
“Aah! Twilight, are you okay!?” Spike yelled, running over to her side.
The pony princess, with Spike’s help, managed to push herself up onto her front hooves and smirked when she lifted her head up. “I can see Osomatsu’s butt from here…” she giggled like a schoolgirl.
The oldest brother perked up and turned around with a sultry grin. “Like what ya see?”
“Yes, very much,” Twilight cooed and tried to get back on all fours, only to fumble over once again. Osomatsu sighed and walked back to her, picking her up and slinging her over his shoulder like a sack of rice.
“This'll work for now,” Osomatsu said to himself and went to catch up with the others.
Fluttershy and Ichimatsu slowly made their way down the concrete sidewalk with nothing but street lights and the moon luminating their path, staying quiet. Neither of them really had much to talk about anymore. They weren't chatty types anyway. The only reason they were talking each other’s ears off earlier was because they were excited to talk about their interests with someone who had the same ones as them. Now that the excitement and anxiety of meeting someone new had worn off, they weren't as eager to make conversation.
Fluttershy was the first one to break the silence. “Lovely night, isn't it?”
Ichimatsu nodded. “Yeah.”
Another bout of silence occurred between the two as Fluttershy thought about what else she could say. She ran out of conversation topics while they were talking at the oden stand and didn't know of any good icebreakers. Maybe they shouldn't have done way more talking than drinking. At least they were easily the most sober out of the two groups because of that. They were still a bit drunk, but otherwise still functional.
So what else would they chat about?
Hmm...well, she did like Ichimatsu a lot, and she wasn't sure if that enjoyment was just platonic. But that didn't mean that she had to act on it when it was just a small crush that she wasn't even sure exists or not. She just met him only six hours ago. It wasn't okay that she was feeling this way about him when he was basically a stranger.
...Forget it. As Rainbow Dash says, “you only live once”.
She slowly turned to look up at him with a hint of blush crossing her face. “Um...Ichimatsu? Can I ask you something...personal?”
“Sure.”
“Oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm about to ask this. Uh...when you're doing..it..do you p-prefer a...dominant or submissive role?”
Ichimatsu’s eyes widened and he looked down at her, only for her to turn away redder than ever and already regretting what she asked.
“I like to be the one dominating my partner. Being in control of the situation sounds better to me than surrendering myself to someone.”
“Ah, I see.” Fluttershy said and lowered her head and her voice a bit. “You know, I wouldn't...be opposed to being...dominated...by you…”
Now it was Ichimatsu’s turn to blush. Did she just say that or was he hearing things? “What?”
“Um..! N-nothing! I didn't say a-anything!” she quickly squeaked, covering her beet red face with her wings. She was nearly shaking from embarrassment and could hardly believe that she had the balls to ask that about someone she barely knew.
Ichimatsu, although a bit flustered, smiled down at her. “Hey, remember when I said that I wasn't in the mood for that?” he asked, noticing a dark alleyway coming up.
“Y-yes! I'm sorry, I'll be quiet!”
“Well…” He wrapped his arms around her body, lifting her off the ground and taking her into the nearby alley. “I was lying.”
The yellow pegasus mare, quickly realizing what he wanted, let out a soft squeak. “Oh..oh my…”
Darkness overlapped the pair with them partially luminated by the lampposts’ glow just outside the entrance of the alley they were occupying. Ichimatsu, making sure that there was no one around first, set Fluttershy down on the concrete floor and hesitantly leaned in close. She swiftly backed away with a shaky body and flat ears.
“Eh? Do you not want to do this?” Ichimatsu asked quietly.
“Um..y-yes..yes, I want to very badly, but I'm so scared. What if somepony sees us?”
Ichi, growing a soft grin, pulled her close and gave her a gentle kiss on the neck, making her gasp silently. “It'll be okay, Fluttershy. I'll make sure that nobody knows about this.”
“Alright..” she nodded slowly with a scarlet face. “I trust you…”
The fourth born brother continued to kiss and nip at her neck, soon trailing the kisses down her soft body. With her heart racing in her chest and her ears perking up, Fluttershy released soft pants and even some moans here and there. Her hooves held him close to her body while he gradually explored every inch of her he could find.
Ichimatsu’s lips roamed around her abdomen, feeling her heart beating rapidly and her muscles tensing up whenever he laid a kiss on her. “You're nervous, aren't you?”
Fluttershy nodded her head as he went from just kissing her sensitive skin to nibbling as well. “I’m sorry. It's j-just that I've never done a-anything like this before in my life.."
“That makes two of us,” he said and got up onto his feet.

This was exactly why he wasn't as anxious as he'd normally be in this situation with a girl. She understood him. She felt the same social anxiety that he did and found more comfort in the company of animals rather than others of her own kind, just like him. Knowing that she was also a virgin did much more to reassure him that she wouldn't judge him. They were in the same boat in many different ways, and he loved it.
A small frown formed on Fluttershy’s face from his words and she forced herself to make eye contact with him. “I’m sorry to hear that…”
“It's fine, we’re used to it,” he said, grabbing the waistband of his sweatpants. “You're okay with this, right?”
“Okay with what? I already gave consent.”
Ichimatsu slowly pulled his sweats down to his thighs, revealing his dick to the pegasus mare. Her teal eyes widened and she quickly averted her gaze as if she thought she shouldn't be seeing something like that.
