Sleek Stockings is a young stallion whose ancestors are credited for the creation and spread of Hearth's Warming stockings, primarily used for holding small gifts and sweets over the fireplace. While the tradition thrives on its own in current times, with everypony either making their own or buying them from other manufacturers, Sleek continues his family's traditions by making luxurious Hearth's Warming stockings for the wealthy of Canterlot.

One winter's evening, after many days of work, he finds himself at his wits end while working on his very last order. He feels that the best remedy for his stress is to spend a little bit of time away from his craft, to free himself from his obligations and to be somepony else - just for the night.
